Equinox Hotel New York

Nice moody rooms and good bathrooms. Everything was clean, comfortable, and the VIEW! Food was amazing at the Electric Lemon and room service for breakfast was excellent! Location and excellent services. The view and location are excellent! The workout classes as you’d imagine since this is what they have been known for, are AMAZING. Service, location, restaurant, bed was extremely comfortable. Room and facilities very clean. Love the gym and classes. The reception staff, and concierge at the ground floor. Such welcoming persons and big help. Great room. Front desk and staff were all polite and friendly and professional. Very courteous. Very modern and luxurious feeling. We love to stay at the Equinox at Hudson yards. We even ordered the same bed for our home in France. It is a home away from home for us. Great rooms. Amazing gym and facilities. elegant hotel with good facilities and super staff. 3rd time staying at the equinox and I finally feel like they know what they’re doing. A well oiled machine. The hotel were kind enough to upgrade us when we arrived so we had a suite for the week. Beautiful room / bathroom with a breath taking view. Food is spectacular….Hudson Yards is a wonderful location with everything you could want or need. Design, service, location. The room had a great view, the ambience inside is inviting and the housekeeping staff were very helpful. Valet service really unfriendly. the view from the pool. No room service for dinner? Very few options for breakfast/dinner Staff not very helpful. Price of room are excessive. I did. the reservation because of the spa&gym but instead of 24/7 they opened on weekends on 7 and close 10 pm .. rooms dark. For 2000$ a night I expect full bathroom toiletries Tooth brush , tooth paste etc Didn’t like having to take 2 elevators Didn’t like that there was no doorman to call a taxi or an Uber. The room was quite small, no comfortable place to work, two fairly small queen size beds, no bath tub. For the price, I’d expect service and amenities similar to the Four Seasons or similar, as it was, it was only fair at best. The bed was not great. You had to ride two separate elevators just to get out, and there was a decent wait. You felt more like you were being hosted by an iPad and a generic voice on a phone. There is no lobby, so everything - the experience - feels detached and impersonal - more like an apartment with a disinterested doorman. The fact that kids can't use the pool at all. n/a. Beware room service is extremely expensive as they add on a surcharge (and the food is already pricey, a smoothie would be $30). if they hadn’t of added the additional charges I probably would have ordered. Always switching elevators is a bit tedious and the they can be slow. restaurant menu a little limited. Uncomfortable furniture, Erratic WIFI, Noisy. It is a shame that kids under 18 cannot use the swimming pools. more food and drink options would be nice and the beds aren’t comfortable. The indoor hot tub, outdoor sauna, and outdoor pool that were advertised were not open! That was one of key reasons for booking. Very disappointing that it was not disclosed. only 2 lifts to reception and 2 lifts to rooms. Had to allow 10 mins to get out and in. -the room, even though it was overall very clean, could become just slightly dusty here and there at some moments of the day (just a bit of dust on a night table in the morning for example... possibly due to ventilation filter issues I would guess, but this was a minor detail; the room was overall very clean) -there should be slightly improved food options for in room dining/room service, considering that this is a 5-star hotel (and freshly pressed orange juice would be great; the orange juice currently offered doesn't really cut it) -it would be great if the hotel accepted phone credit card payments, as it can facilitate check out in some circumstances -slightly pricy, but this is hard to avoid on manhattan. mattress was very firm and flat. The fact that kids can't use the pool at all. The air conditioner inside the room is too noisy ! Waiting for elevator at least 15 to 20 mins.... pool policy for hotel guests totally sucks. the bed was hard as a rock - two terrible night sleeps for $1,000 a night was just a huge let down.
