The gentleman who checked us in was simply amazing! He gave us gobs of information about where to eat, the best ice cream, and even the best subway route for our next day's adventures. Pros (+) Upper West Side on Broadway can’t be beat for location, accessibility. Grocery store right across street, and kitchenette facilities much appreciated. On site fitness center good for NYC hotel. Rooms are adequate and clean. Many restaurant, shops, and the subway are steps away. The cleaning staff was very sweeet and helpful.
Cons (-) Foremost, the internet service was incredibly slow. I actually left and went to Starbucks to retrieve things from the internet. Second, the lobby doors open right to the outside, and with the weather so cold while I was there, it was freezing in the lobby. Third, the front desk and door staff seemed more or less indifferent to guests.
