Staff is excellent. Valet parking made it easy in the city.
Hotel staff was very friendly and very accommodating. Awesome location.
Very tight. Looked bigger in the photos online. Wasn’t much dresser space for clothing. No fan in the bathroom, and the shower temperature control was very difficult.
Great location near Central Park Professional and friendly staff Close to transportation Good coffee and hot chocolate
Extremely small rooms, small bathrooms Bed size - standard No free coffee
Location is perfect, hotel is beautiful, clean and comfortable.
Desk staff was consistently rude over 4 days. Not so much to me but anytime I walked through the lobby I overheard snippy sarcastic remarks being made in response to questions.
Can probably do as well for less
It was in Manhattan, and had a bit of character- though not original to the time period so that's a bit unfortunate. There's decent coffee for sale in the lobby. Appeared to not overcharge me, and no sign of bed bugs!
Room was 13' by 9' -that is being generous with the arms pan - that didn't really matter since we didn't hang out there, but it was laughable. Also had a shirt fall of a hanger just to retrieve it covered in dust bunnies. Key cards stopped working halfway through, not a big issue except it's a stair run up/down as the elevators are a bit wonky. Was hoping for old charm, didn't have much of it. Not really worth spending extra, overall. Seems like over $300 will get something special, otherwise might as well just book a Holiday Inn or something basic.
charming vintage hotel
three windows in my room. Three urns of cold drinks in the lobby every afternoon.
only one small elevator working for the entire week
Flight was delayed a full day, so we headed over to the hotel and was pleasantly surprised at the how much we got for our money's worth! The staff was extremely accommodating as well.
Great affordable Hotel
Location Price Cleanliness
Great value & very comfortable..
Clean, nicely designed rooms; comfortable and cozy
Construction work in rooms opposite - woken up by loud drilling and hammering at 9am for two of my three night stay. I think I should have been alerted to this fact before I registered.
Very good location. Just a block away from subway and lots of little shops to get something to eat or do a little shopping. Very clean room, well furnished and very clean. Bathroom was huge!
I asked for a car service and got a driver that drove way too fast and just wasn't very professional. Not the hotels fault but it was scary.
The stay was excellent and the staff was always very helpful and attentive to my friends and my needs. The location was very good and there is a 24hr market just around the corner.
I didn't like that I had to leave aside from that my stay was exquisite I highly recommend this hotel
The room was very clean, the set up of the room was modern and fresh! would stay again.
they are doing renovations on certain floors.
staff and cleanliness
the elevator did not work. We went to the service elevator.
Facility, Elevator was not working. We had to use staff elevator. Construction/renovation on the floor, right in front of my room. Dust and noise.
the staff was vert friendly and helpful. the room was largge for ny and very comfortable. the diner across fromthe hotel was very ny and had quiet a variety and would deliver. market closs by. everything you neeed for a relaxing ny trip
their were problems with elevator but not serious to cause any discomfort
The room was decorated beautifully with a nice contemporary feel and the bed was comfortable.
Mold in the bathtub tile wall. There was quiet a lot of it so doesn't appear they do a good job of cleaning the rooms.
The crisp white linens every day along with big fluffy towels. The staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. Being able to check our bags for a couple of hours on the day of departure prior to leaving for the airport was very appreciated.
Convienent location to sights. Nice neighborhood. Great restaurants and grocers. Safe, lovely area with everything at your fingertips. Friendly, helpful staff.
room was clean and nicely furnished, close to dining, shopping, and subway
window coverings did little to filter outside noise, bath room sink was tiny
hotel was at good location, clean and quiet
location, privacy, and all the above
