We stayed at Bolero for Irish Weekend and the car show. The hotel was in a perfect location, 2 blocks from the boardwalk. The rooms were clean. The full size fridge and freezer were also clutch. The indoor pool was nice, staff was friendly. The hotel bar/restaurant had a good band playing both nights we were there too. I highly recommend the Bolero and we will be back next time. Loved everything
Pool was great and really close to the beach! Beds were a little uncomfortable and the bathroom was small.
Location and value. No complaints here.
Indoor swimming pool and gym Furniture is dated, lighting is dim and dark
great experience impressed by the room, modern style, and atmosphere. good location to go a short distance to the boardwalk and many placed to eat of site if you choose. no complaints
Situated right in front of a wide private beach, this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. Friendly staff, great off-season rates, beautiful views, and very nice facilities. Our room was spacious, with a separate bedroom and sitting room, and the dinette was a lifesaver, complete with basic cooking tools and a hotplate. We will be coming back here!
This hotel was perfectly situated. Diamond beach is right outside your door, while also just a short drive away from the busy Boardwalk. It is a family friendly place. It is also beautiful, up to date and chic. We will definitely be back!
Great to have beach service which included food, drinks, and chairs. Wonderful time before the true season with crowds. Sometimes the food service could be very slow which was strange because there wasn't many people.
Location was great! Rooms were clean and well appointed, The bed and pillows very comfortable. Family friendly. The providing of robes was a nice touch. Waitresses as well as hostess was somewhat inattentive. We waited for apple juice had to remind the waitress several times and syrup so long the pancakes got cold. Hard to get coffee refills while they chatted it up with some guests while ignoring others,
The beds only had a sheet on and those quilts they never clean all stained. There was dirt and hair in one bed and there also was an outlet with no outlet cover hidden behind it. The maid only came to bring us towels and never brought toilet paper.
The location is great! The facility is old.
Great location right on the beach. I liked they had someone who did daily activities with everyone, golf tournaments, egg toss etc on beach that was a nice treat for everyone The room had no window, the AC unit was in what was called the window and at night there was a light blaring in so you had to close curtains so you could try and sleep and then you could not get full effects of AC unit. The noise was un real someone walking up and down stairs could be heard. Basically every time someone sneezed you could hear them. So I went to have some fun and did but got no sleep.
Nothing The " First room " we were given, didn't have a bed or chairs .The second room didn't have a toilet that worked. They sent someone to fix it and said it was fixed but it ran all night long and still didn't flush right. The room was dirty. The floors were slippery like they had some kind of film on them. The furniture had stains all over. The walls were crumbling. Overall the room was dirty and disgusting.
It was the only place available for less than $300/night My room was next to the elevator and should have been a storage closet. I wasn't told while booking about either. Arrived at 8 and the pool was already closed, not to reopen until 10 the next morning. Night attendant told my super disappointed son to ask the day crew and they would open early since we arrived and and needed to check out the same time it opened. Day desk attendant was irritated that I even asked and refused. Why close so early? There's no life guards so what difference does it make? A huge puddle of still water blocked my door and we had to jump over it to leave or enter. Still sat in the A.M. when we checked out.
Close to town safe comfortable everything you need friendly staff parking Dated intetior no complaints
It was cheap but clean and had a heated pool Walls were super thin... I saw another review that said that and I dismissed it... No they are super thin. Heard conversations all night by someone who was taking in normal voice. Couldn't regulate temp making the room cooler due to the time of year
Location is fantastic! Overall, the staff was friendly (ran into an issue with the maid) and the room was comfortable. Maid came to the door asking if we wanted service and and we told her not now, maybe later. We had spent the morning on the beach and wanted to relax before hitting the boardwalk. The maid told us she had to do it now because there wasn't time later. That was annoying because we did need the room serviced, so we went to the boardwalk earlier than expected. We didn't care for the attitude.
Proximity to the boardwalk
1. Resort is very close to board walk and Moreys pier 2. Rooms are divided in 2 sections so we get peaceful sleep when kids are still awake :-) 3. Nice size swimming pool that is safe 4. Nice staff and room service 5. Quieter even though closer to Boardwalk 6. safe
Location is great, rooms are large, pool is great size. The pool water had a bad smell to it. The rooms are very old and out dated, needs a serious renovation to the bathroom. There was no iron or hair dryer so be aware of that. We asked for a 2 hour late check out and were told we would have to pay half of the day rate( meanwhile the hotel was empty that day). I will not return to this hotel.
2-room suite was spacious, had flat screen tvs in both bedrooms and the living room, clean up service came in to change out towels and remove trash, had a full size fridge and fridge-top freezer, oven, stove, and microwave complete with dishes. The screen door didnt close and blew open and closed on the windy days.
Bike rentals were awesome pool was nice jacuzzi was super hot which I liked and they had breakfast also located right in front of the wildwood sign Everything was great
The facility was very clean and the employees are awesome. The manager (well who I think is the manager) manages 2 hotels The Star Lux and Blue Palms. He gave me the most convenient rooms (probable wasn't intentional but...) I could possible get and they both were great. Star Lux has a separate living room and a small kitchen area. If you never had a suite before you will love it, but for people who never book anything but a suite (like myself) it is what's expected. Outside is gorgeous. The have a small greenhouse like space with a sitting area and TV's to watch. It's very clean inside and is a great place to relax. I love the fresh air that breezes by and natural light. The pool is nice. It's not large, but you shouldn't expect that here anyway. The beach is literally footsteps away. Overall I would definitely stay here again. There is a note on the bathtub wall that tells you how to turn the shower on. There was only one visible knob and it did nothing when moved. 2. The hotel is located at the beginning (main start) of the boardwalk where the WildWood sign and beach balls are. The stores/rides/excitement are a few blocks up. If you all are adults then it's not a big deal. However, walking in the heat with small children makes it very inconvenient even with a stroller.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful when we asked for advice regarding where we should explore during our evening there. We enjoyed the room, it was comfortable. And we really liked the architecture and interior designs of the building. N/A
CLOSE TO BOARD WALK AND CONVENTION CENTER CLEAN POOL AND HOTTUB ,FREE BICYCLES HALF PRICE MINATURE GOLF-9/18 HOLES. CONTINENTAL BKFST FREE . FREE COMPUTER AND INTERNET WI-FI ROOM WAS A LITTLE SMALL.
When there was a problem, the staff was very accommodating. A/C worked well. The pool was clean and the "swim-up" Tiki Bar was nice, but only open on weekends. There were TOO many problems. Rooms/beds too small. Refrigerator broken. 10 channels on old-style TV. No phone. The WI-FI stopped working. Limited parking: only a few parking spots at hotel. You can get blocked in & have to get them to move car blocking you or you have to park almost two blocks away. The elevator broke one day. Limited ice supply and only machine at front desk. The bed was so uncomfortable, we did not get one good night's sleep. It seems this place is stuck in the 70s and not in a good way.
Right off the boardwalk. The staff was nice and friendly. It wasn't a bad stay for a two night beach adventure. Not very wheelchair accessible nor were the room very clean but it is a beach front hotel. The tiki bar plays music too loud to sleep if you plan to sleep before 11 pm.
It was a stones throw from the board walk, morey's pier and beach, you can park your car and go! Room was freshly clean, sheets clean, microwave and mini fridge! Good for what we paid, would stay again. And when owner said no smoking he meant it, our room didn't have faintest hint of smell. Could not get into room until 3, but let us check in at noon and gave us a parking pass for their lot so we didn't have to pay for metered parking. I didn't like how loud some of the other guests were. Hotel management was very nice at check in, but their presence is not on site, you have to walk to another hotel to check in, which is literally seconds away so no big deal. Not that management wasn't reachable because they were, and the other guests should have been more considerate. Turned the AC on, drowned them out some, but kids yelling from room to pool is a bit much. I just think if someone was in the building, guests might stay more in line. Super small parking lot, but it's FREE :) only one plug in lamp to light the room after dark, could use more lighting, and really need an electric outlet in the bathroom. Hard to use a blowdryer in the same outlet as the bed side lamp which is behind the night stand or atleast add another mirror in the room itself. Still great value for price!
