Pros: Wonderful place in historic maison. Pitty we could not stay long enough to have a meal in the restaurant.
Pros: This was such a surprise! It is newly remodeled and the rooms this size would cost triple in other areas. We had a suite and it was gigantic with a brand new state of the art bathroom, comfortable bed, and beautiful view of the countryside. Beautifully decorated as well. It truly feels like a palazzo!
Cons: Breakfast wasn't so great, but for the price and stay, it didn't really upset us. We just went into town to eat with the locals. :)
Pros: Fabulous property superb restaurant really nice owner. We loved our stay there
Cons: Not a criticism of the property because we needed to stay in that area but quite a poor town, no local restaurants (hotel restaurant only open at the weekend) or anything touristy to do.
Pros: Staff was welcoming and wonderful! The vineyards are beautiful.
Pros: The suite was incredibly large for a boutique European experience. Great views. Friendly staff and wonderful breakfast.
Cons: Be aware that the bell tower is mere feet away. Thankfully it doesn't ring at night.
Pros: Beautiful rooms and beautiful view!!
Pros: The cleanliness was great. Staff very friendly and the rooms lovely and spacious.
Cons: Breakfast wasn't great. Lack of options and not always fresh. The hotel kept being locked up during the day and night and we often found ourselves locked out needing to call for assistance ....this was quite inconvenient.

Pros: Wonderful renovated Farmhouse with all the amenities. Michele was an excellent host and took the time to have us follow him to a local restaurant so we wouldn't get lost. We highly recommend Agriturismo San Michele
Cons: A little hard to find. Use GPS location for best directions.
Pros: It was very clean and comfortable, the location was perfect - very peaceful . The owners were very kind and helpful.
Cons: We have nothing negative to say about the property.
Pros: The epic vista of the surrounding countryside was inspiring. We enjoyed sitting out under the stars and listening to the dogs bark in the distance. We had dinner at a nearby restaurant which the host escorted us to that was fantastic.
Pros: Our host was exceptionally helpful, ensuring that our restaurant reservation was confirmed and even leading us there in his car. The room was in it's own suite, and unusually had a bath in the bathroom.
Cons: With the window open at night there is a noise from a motor somewhere.
Pros: Beautifully decorated, comfortable rooms with amazing panaramic views of Gesualdo! The breakfast had a lot of delicious Italian "sweets" to choose from. Rafaele is truly an amazing host, he welcomed us like family and even took us to an amazing wine tour. We will definitely come back to stay at Zembalo and discover more of the charming region of Irpinia:)
Pros: The hosts made us so welcome - they drove us around to see other towns and sights in the region. I was there on a research project and they helped organise this. The room we had was spacious and well-furnished, with a fabulous view out across the hills. The town of Gesualdo is an undiscovered gem and this hotel is the perfect base for exploring the region, and I can't emphasis just how much effort the hosts put into making our stay really special.

Pros: An absolute hidden gem if you are in the Avellino province. Property is so much nicer than it shows online. We had reason to visit as the area was the home of parents. Staff is amazing. Tended to every need. Food is 5 star. Don’t stay anywhere else if you plan a visit.

Pros: Beautiful hilltop location with great views of the countryside. Owner and his family are lovely people, very kind and interested in your well-being. Owner's son speaks English very well, but the owner and his wife are still pretty good at communicating with limited English. The owner made good use of the Google translate app on his phone and it made it easy for us to carry on a real conversation. The property and our rooms were spotless!
Cons: Stay here if you are in this area and looking for a QUIET place with great views. We did need to drive to the town of Mirabella Eclano to find restaurants etc., there is nothing within walking distance of the hotel.
Pros: The location
Cons: The male staff member was so utterly miserable and lethargic. The swimming pool, which was the advertised draw had a hidden cost attached, which even visiting the website post stay isn't clearly visible in any small print, even if there is any. The lounge and bits if machinery lying around under a state of repair, giving a tatty, disorganised feel. The breakfast was an utter disgrace and not worthy of such a title. The staff were shouting at each other in the lounge area, causing a scandal. The hotel is still stuck in the 1960s, decrepid, disorganised, and disastrous. The building reminded me of the move "Suspiria" by Dario Argento. The life guard, although a nice young man was too interested in his smartphone and not observing the pool. I hate to leave a bad review and am robust enough to tolerate all standards of hotels. I'd feel guilty for not leaving a poor review knowing that some unwitting family might spend 80 euros on this outdate dive.
Pros: Great views from room and great swimming pool although water a bit cold in the middle of the summer.
Cons: The room was not very spacious and had to request a change of mattress for the third bed as it was too hard to sleep on. However, the owner/manager was very helpful with this issue and changed it himself upon request.
Pros: Breakfast was minimal...cereal, biscotti, milk, caffe, etc....no hot food. For lunch/dinner you need to drive....Mirabella Eclano had several places as did Fontanna Rosa. Great place in FR...Avenida Nuevo!! GPS had a difficult time finding it.....minimal English spoken on property. It is on a hill outside the town and there is no places to eat between the town and the property. Pool complex is nice but was crowded because folks were there on Holiday. If you need a firmer bed then look elsewhere. We do because of our backs.
Cons: Do research on what is nearby!!
Pros: The staff was very helpful. If they don't answer the phone, just write a message through booking: we had some problems reaching them but they called almost immediately after they got our message.
