Pros: This is a nice hotel in this little town Pecos. There is a lot of European influence in the structure and appearance. In the past the hotel was filled with oil company employees and this trip there was but a few of these employees. There rooms are large and very nice. The staff is very friendly and the breakfasts are complete with good food. We always stay here when we pass this way..
Pros: very nice aesthetics. Great rooms. Very nice breakfast area.
Cons: The price was high for a best western.

Pros: Clean ! Things all in good and very well kept conditions
Cons: The front desk seems too new to the business. Need a bit more training I would say.
Pros: Your friendly Staff, your breakfast, your pool, everything was perfect.
Cons: Everything was perfect, I' m going to go back soon!!
Pros: This hotel was perfect and we were very satisfied! Everything was good - facility, staff, breakfast and even pet areas outside.
Pros: My dog was welcome!
Pros: I liked the fact that you had a pool and a jacuzzi. You were also convenient.
Cons: The pool was freezing, there were insects everywhere especially mosquitoes. The hot tub smelled dank and mildewy. The Jets gave me bruises and were uncomfortable. The teperature of the spa was a joke. The shower upstairs got hotter.
Pros: The staff was very friendly and the hotel was nice and new.
Pros: We have nothing bad to say about our stay. Our room was clean, the pool was great for our son, and the location was perfect for us - driving from Austin and heading to Santa Fe.
Highly recommend this hotel!
Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful! Our rooms were very clean and comfortable!!
The best thing this hotel has going for it is certainly how new it is. The largest problem is that the novelty will only last for so long. We were double charged for our room and when we brought it to the attention of the front desk, an argument perused between the desk clerks and one of them tried to get us to take sides. The workout room was not air conditioned, nor was the indoor pool, (a cost saving step?) When forced to exercise outside because it was cooler then the inside exercise area, we were barked at by two dogs at the outside picnic area at the back of the hotel. On the second lap of the walk around the hotel, one of the dogs came toward us in an aggressive manner and ended our exercise. While eating breakfast, approximately half of the people eating breakfast in the breakfast room were the staff. Saying that, there was still plenty of room. In a nutshell; new is not everything and new will only last so long. The management and staff of the hotel will always be the deciding factor in its success or failure. The painting a decoration of this hotel is very well done and they have a great hotel theme to work with but, if management and staff changes are not implemented very soon, I would not like to see this hotel in 18 months or more.
Pros: We liked how new the hotel was; however, for only being a few months old, the exterior grounds of the hotel were in poor condition.
Cons: We did not like the fact that so many dogs were staying in this hotel. Firstly, our bathroom smelled like a dog had stayed in it, secondly the elevator smelled of wet dog, finally a dog and his owner walked through the breakfast area (NOT a guide dog)
I would recommend this motel, is very clean helpful staff, I would stay here again
Pros: yes I liked every thing on this motel
Pros: had a wonderful patio area for guest. Not once did i remember we were right by the interstate.

Pros: The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable.
Cons: The wifi (which is a huge deal for most everyone these days) was not working. This was very frustrating and had I known this before hand, I would not have chosen to stay there.
Pros: it got the job done, nothing fancy, room pretty decent. could be at least 10 bucks cheaper a night.
Cons: the only complaint I'd like to call it was 1 staff member cant remember their name I checked out early for personal reasons, she just murmured.."No surprise". wanted to go off. Other than that other staff was very nice.
Pros: The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly.
Cons: It's a shoebox! The fact that they charge $160/night for a room that barely fits the bed is ridiculous. They are just taking advantage of people because of the oilfield boom. Don't get me wrong, every one else is doing it too but it's still ripping people off.

Cons: No breakfast on weekends, not cleaned well, over priced to the high heavens. Beds are extra extra firm. Desk help is NOT friendly. Limited tv channels.
Pros: Hotel was nice. The beds were good, just needed some TLC with the walls. But good stay for the location.
Cons: Was told that breakfast was included, but when we got there, none was given both nights.

Pros: They met our every need for a place to stay on our long road trip.
Cons: There was an artificial plant in the corner of our room which was terribly dusty. That is understandable since it would take too long to dust all the individual leaves. I would enjoy the room better without the plant. It isn't needed for the overall attractiveness of the room.

Cons: Carpet was dirty. Staff was not helpful. Sign was not lit, so hard to find.
Pros: The room was okay, but did not get the room i paid for.
Cons: It took 30 minutes before anybody came to the front desk and same for checkout. Was informed right away that the king room we paid for was not available. Would have to take a queen. Queen room was not clean and bed sheets were on the floor. Stay away.
Cons: Bathroom dirty , television was outdated and the remote didnt work
Pros: This question does not fit here.
Cons: I called them to confirm after i bought 2 room and we drove 9 hour reached 9 PM but asked us to wait 30-45 min as room was not available .They showed one room after 45 min, it was not sleepable, stains everywhere, hairs, smelling bad,big wholes in sheets.
Nothing to add. The very worst. Will never consider this place again and will tell everyone else to avoid it like the plague.
Pros: Close to the highway
Cons: Most everything. No key available for the room. Sheets looked slept in. Hair in the bed. Dirty carpet. Coffee maker did not work.
We had a knock at our door at 3:45am, a phone call at 4:10am and another knock at 4:20am. Such a terrible experience! Couldn't wait to leave!
Cons: Extremely musty/moldy smelling (no amount of air freshener could have masked the smell). Carpet was damp, sheets and bedding were damp. If we would've been in a better area, I would have rather stayed in my truck and slept....
It was an excellent choice
Pros: After I booked room. I then saw reviews, and said oh my goshi hope reviews are wrong. And they were!
Cons: Yes, we had to wait about 20 minutes to ck in, something about front desk running crew to train. Whatever that meant.
I had paid for this stay on line with priceline. When I arrived at the hotel to check in the lady asked me for my credit card I figured it was for verification but later I looked online at the charges on my card and I noticed she had actually charged me twice... Well, when I called later and asked to speak to the manager I ended up leaving 6 msg. yet never was called back by mgr finally I just asked a worker about it n they said they heldxxx but I would get it back. I asked y would they hold the same amount I paid for the week's stay? I no hotels have previously held 50-200 for security reasons n I have got it Back within a couple days after check out but 200 was at one of the nicest hotel's I've ever stayed at like a 4-5 star hotel not a 1-2 star hotel. well its been 3 weeks and I'm getting upset because im still waiting for them to refund my card..... I will never go there again... at this point im thinking that 'free' GRAND SLAM COSTED ME xxx!!!
Pros: They do give u a free GRAND SLAM breakfast and the location is great...
Cons: Yes a lot the staff was very unprofessional N RUDE I AM very disappointed...
Suggest to modernize the photo of the hotel. It has been obviously completely modified since then and the picture does not give it credit at all. It is true that there are old beaten-up cars in the back of the parking lot. They presumably belong to the oil industry workers that live at the hotel. We did not see this as problem at all.
Pros: We were agreeably surprised by this small hotel. Friendly staff and patrons, close to a Denny's and suprisingly quiet. After reading some of the reviews, we were worried but everything turned out fine.
Cons: Pecos is in the heart of an oil boom so it is very busy with industrial equipment, oil rig workers, etc. It is no more the sleepy little town it used to be. But people there are hard working and nice.
The room is spacious but is not clean as we thought. It is OK for one night stay.
Pros: Have Breakfast Voucher for Denny which is near by.
Cons: Not as clean as I image for two stars hotel. Non-smoking room but with smoking smell.
Hotel suited our needs as we passed through the great State of Texas. It was clean and comfortable, and included free breakfast vouchers at the Denny's next door. Staff was helpful and courteous. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone passing through Pecos, and will stay here again if the opportunity arises.
Pros: Proximity to the freeway, free breakfast at the Denny's next door!
Cons: Nope. Everything was as expected and clean.
I wound up with this hotel with a Priceline Express deal. Was this a two star hotel? Certainly not. This is the second time I've been burned by Priceline's Express deal where I selected a two star hotel and wound up with a very questionable place of lodging. PRICELINE EXPRESS IS NOT WORTH IT. I saved about $15 at the cost of being very uncomfortable and losing a good night's sleep. I feel like an idiot.
Pros: It was conveniently located for our road trip. And it was pet friendly. That sums up everything positive I have to say about the Oak Tree Inn,
Cons: Lots to dislike about this hotel. First, there were flies in our room. Flies. Was Beelzebub hiding under the bed? Sheets were stained. Carpet felt muggy and sticky. Bathroom toilet still had urine on the seat. Overall just gross.
Oak Tree Inn Pecos is a great choice for a stay in Pecos. Guests can visit the fitness center for a workout, and freebies like WiFi and self parking are added perks. Rooms feature bonuses like refrigerators and microwaves.
Pros: Stayed twice......first experience was ok but then work had us needing another night. The second night we were in a different room and the A/C did not work. Pecos is hot if you are not accustomed to their heat. Room was uncomfortable for this reason.
Cons: Air Condition not cooling.
Pros: Nothing. Priced way to high for what it is. Oilfield has price gouged everything in 'this town including this motel. Cinder block building from 50's. bypass pecos tx for somewhere else to stay. Do not recommend this hotel for price paid.
Cons: Price, room was full of flies.
Cons: There was a wall with what looked like blood on it. And the bathroom had hair on the floor.
Pros: The price.
Cons: It was ran down. The room was dated and the dead bolt did not work. It was out of the way and secluded. The carpet had holes in it and one of the pillows had hair on it. I woke up to bugs flying around the room. You get what you pay for!
Pros: the staff was courteous.
Cons: location is remote, outside parking lot was trashy & not well lit, room was old but at least the heat worked and water was hot and sheets clean.
Pros: Clean room
Cons: Couldn't access the internet, front desk would not answer calls
Pros: I liked the cleanliness of the room and I also really liked the staff. Plus I didn't have any crazy neighbors. Which was a huge plus. I felt safer here than any other motel I've stayed in out in Pecos.
Cons: Everything was fine.
Cons: No toilet paper or pillow cases... Very disappointing
Pros: The service was good. Very friendly staff
Cons: The rooms were a little older but still had a fridge and microwave!
They are in the middle of 'renovating' the rooms, trying to make it better. But they are using substandard carpenters. There were visible gaps in my front door, where you could see outside.
Cons: Rooms were makeshift... No coffee maker, no coffee supplied at the front desk. Room was infested with Flies, front desk said that is just how Pecos is, yet I didn't encounter flies anywhere I was that was indoors.
I dont recommend this hotel to anyone
Pros: The hotel is not worth for the money i have paid. None of the facility is good in this hotel.
Cons: I dont recommend this hotel to anyone
Pros: Dont judge a book by its cover lol disreguarding the hideous color of motel rooms were clean and had fridge n microwave. Could use better towels tho
Situated in Pecos, this motel is within 3 mi (5 km) of Memory Lane Car Museum, West of the Pescos Museum, and Buck Jackson Arena. Maxey Park Zoo is 2.5 mi (4.1 km) away.
It's just a simple place to stay the night. I really hope they start to lower the price after the oil boom, this is definitely a 2 star hotel/motel. At least the staff was friendly.
Pros: It has four walls and a ceiling and the shower at least gives hot water.
Cons: The bed was mediocre, the TV was straight out of 1999, very unreliable internet connection, smoke detector on desk without batteries, smoke detector on desk without batteries, and an electrical outlet was hanging out of the wall.
Pros: Just the air conditioning
Cons: Dirty ,swimming pool was digusting , my looked has in it had not been cleaned nore clean sheets.bathroom smelled like urine. Trash under the bed..
Pros: Clean and affordable.
Cons: Nothing to complain about
Dirty, bad odor, poor plumbing, maintenance was terrible. Front desk staff wasn't bad though.
Cons: This was by far the nastiest place I have ever stayed at. When I saw the rating I was hoping it wasn't going to be as bad as 1 star, but it was. Trust the star rating and don't stay at this hotel.
