I was on a business trip. The wireless internet worked well. The room was clean.

I was put in a room next to the elevator (because of the booking.com price?) Road noise from the turnpike was noticeable.

The staff is friendly, rooms are clean though spartan (almost military). There are many restaurants nearby and some are 24 hours so if you are working late you can still find food near the hotel

Pool is closed and the temperature reached 100; staff said pool had been broken for two years. The hotel is next door to an airport though it is now only private planes so relatively quiet.

The location was convenient for our purposes, but there wasn't much to do in the area. If you went out at night there really wasn't anything open. It's the sort of area that closes down after 5 p.m. The staff was friendly and the space was clean. Overall, it was a good value for the money.

The bathroom drain was slow running, but that was the only problem with the room. The location is really better suited for business then for a leisure visit.

Scratchy sheets, drab interiors

Got to this "hotel" at 11:30pm. First I got keys to a room which they also used as storage. After complaining they gave me the keys to a second room. Both beds on the second room had hairs and dirt under the conforter. They told me it was one of the best rooms and if i wanted they could show me other "good rooms". I drove 5 minutes away and paid $25 extra a night and stayed in a Best Western that had free breakfast, a great location and was spotles. Lesson learned. Spend a little more but have a stay in a great place. Do yourself a favor and avoid this super 8.

The good- the staff definitely works hard. Courteous desk staff. Completely clean, no bugs or evidence of bugs, which is more than what I expected, updated, new-looking linens and decor. The TV has a reasonable channel range, and the bed isn't uncomfortable. Water was fine, hot water available and with decent pressure. We didn't eat at the breakfast provided, so I can't comment on it, but I can say that there is an IHOP pretty nearby.

There was an odd smell in the room when we first walked in, sort of chemically, but nothing unbearable. I'd rather smell chemical than something sketchy, and soon we didn't notice it at all. There is some noise from the highway, and I don't know if the couple in the room above ours were over exuberant or the walls are just thin, but I was definitely kept up by their activities. There were some repair issues-the toilet was even but its seat was not because it was missing a piece. There were a few other minor repairs needed. The staff is trying, the hotel is clean and up to date, the price is reasonable, but I wouldn't want to stay here more than one night. I don't know that I'd stop in again. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't great.

Restaurant staff and food was incredible and convenient. The area around this hotel dormant look like a place we'd like to be walking around at night.

Very comfy bed. Courteous staff. Convienent parking garage. And Pure Bread bakery one block away was great for breakfast.

Every night my sleep was interrupted by a very loud noise coming from a backing up garbage truck that sounded like a giant alarm clock. Front desk promised but failed to move my room. They also swore that the truck won't be back on my last night of stay, yet once again I was woken up prematurely.

This was one of the best places I've stayed in years. The room was clean. Clean like its cleaned every day. Bathroom floor and shower were clean. Employees were nice. I want a place to sleep for one or two nights and I'm tired of getting rooms that are cleaned "just enough". This Red Roof was NOT like that. I will continue to patronize this chain of Inns until they disappoint me.

If you say Breakfast you need to have more items.

The staff was very friendly they took the time to know you by name.the outside pool and hot tub was a plus.watching others get married or have their reception gave me ideas the newly married couples fed my children..☺

The outside pool and hot tub closes for weddings which isn't fair to other paying customers.its very loud as others are celebrating they drink and get loud but there was no fights etc.. No breakfast was disappointed.

Through room was very clean and spacious. I appreciated the white cover let for the bed. You could tell everything about the beds was fresh and clean.

The floors needed cleaning. Also, the toilet was noisy and required frequent handle jiggling to make it stop running.

The price was excellent. The quality was worth the price.

Very friendly and accomodating staff. The power was out and they were very helpful to the best of their ability!

Hotel was right off the highway.

Neighborhood didn't seem great, but nothing happened of concern. Hallways had some weird odor. In my specific room, the faucet on the tub was loose.

It was a last minute booking, needing something close to an event we were attending. From that perspective, location was optimal. Over all it was a decent, clean room to sleep in.

Window was open in room (about 1') which was not noticed until morning. This resulted in a lot of extra noise over night.

Excellent and friendly staff

Very dated rooms. The area was not very nice (strip malls, fast food). It was attached to the Ramada - my guess is they are owned by the same group, just the suites are a little bigger. Save money, stay at the Ramada Way overpriced for what you get.

We had a late arrival time and the minute we walked into the hotel we felt welcome. The staff was friendly and always willing to help. The breakfast in the morning was a great start to our day. We would go back there anytime.

Alway looking for a good hotel near my daughters' college. Have stayed here twice. The first time in May of 2008. That stay was excellent, and I have recommended it to several people. This time the room was a little dirtier, especially the bathroom. I will give it one more try, but I will bring my chlorox spray bottle. Desk staff filled out a complaint form, but I never got any feed-back.

Location was perfect, close to shopping and food, rooms beautiful, great visit!

If you pay extra, you get a "free" breakfast. Yeah. Unless you're there for a convention or room service really means everything to you, it doesn't have anything more to offer than any other hotel. And especially if you're a smoker, crazy long walk to get to the smoking area!

Staff was great

You can easily hear through the thin walls - all discussions from nearby rooms were heard

Staff is very professional, both front desk and house keeping. Would recommend it to all.

We were visiting for our daughters College Graduation. Lodging was limited in the area. The Red Roof Inn had the room availability at a VERY REASONABLE overall average daily rate. Upon arrival we noticed a great deal of construction going on at the property as well as next door. The desk clerk was very helpful and polite. Another staff member was working to assist a customer who had been staying there on business and needed to extend his stay despite the heavy bookings for the Graduation. The clerk PROACTIVELY provided a printed map showing us the best routes during the graduation period and best way to avoid the area construction. OVERALL STAFF RATIING 5 Stars, A+ or however you want to rate as Excellent .

We have stayed in worse hotels… But we can't remember when. The hotel is rundown, worn and houses many long term section 8 residents. There are many better hotels near the University of Delaware and we only booked this one as we needed a large number of rooms for graduation and no other hotels were available. Given the opportunity, I would choose just about any other hotel over this one

Large room, fabulous breakfast

Not a thing...... Great stay!

Nothing, I left. The owner was rude and demanded I hand over $90 "pet fee" for leaving my 3 dogs in the car.

I was informed that the pet policy was to charge $15 PER PET PER NIGHT, even if they never set foot in the room!!! Not only is this pet fee higher than most motels, but nowhere does anyone charge for dogs that are kept in the guest's CAR overnight and never enter the room. UNBELIEVABLE. I always pick up after my dogs, and make every effort to keep the grounds clean.

Rooms a little dated.

I enjoyed the indoor pool and the outside patio. The staff was attentive. Complimentary coffee was tasty and hit the spot upon arrival and complimentary breakfast the next morning as well. Conveniently located next to a TGI Friday.

Very difficult to make a left turn leaving the location, had to travel a half mile just to make a u turn. No bath tub, just a shower stall. Which is fine but it only has a soap dish and leaves no room for hair products, razor, etc.

My room was clean, very well appointed with modern, coordinating furniture and crisp linens. Bed was very, very comfortable. TV was a large (48"?) flat panel with a high quality digital picture. The room was also very well lit in all areas, with both overhead and ambient lighting. Plenty of room in my standard room with 2 queens. Refrig was nice surprise. Restaurants nearby.

The hallway carpeting definitely needed cleaning and had me a little worried until I got to my room to see how clean it was. (Probably due to being such a value-priced hotel right across the street from UD.) Exterior landscaping could use some work, especially in the rear parking lot. My room was closer to that rear door, but as a single woman traveling alone I didn't really feel comfortable parking back there with overgrown brush and little lighting.

Even though I was in a non-smoking room, it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke.
