Located in Jaffrey, Benjamin Prescott Inn is a 4-minute drive from Jaffrey Civic Center and 7 minutes from Cathedral of the Pines. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Friendly host and hostess; room comfortable with lovely decor; very clean and crisp room and bath; quiet; delicious snacks upon arrival and delightful & delicious breakfast efficiently served in a cheerful dining room.
Cons: We would have liked a comfortable chair in the room in order to facilitate dressing and for relaxing. Also, instead of a pedestal sink in the bathroom, a sink with counter would have provided a place for toiletries, etc.
Pros: Staff was amazing. Check in was easy. The room was a lot bigger than expected and had it's own bathroom. The home made breakfast topped off a great stay!
Cons: The radiator was very noisy. Come to find out they had just installed a new furnace a couple days prior and were told that it might be loud until it breaks in.
Pros: Staff was super nice, breakfast was delicious and creative, check in/out were simple and great, we really enjoyed the scenery especially the hammock! All around a wonderful place to stay!
Pros: The landscape was amazing, the inn was so homey and cosy and so inviting. The “backyard” was quite beautiful! Everything about the property was fantastic!
Pros: Every little detail made all the difference. The inn keepers are masters in culinary especially breakfast, so their free complimentary breakfast made me feel guilty eating it for free. It was that good. Our room was secluded off to the side of the inn next to the barn with 2 retired carriage pulling horses. Waking up to them outside my window put a smile on my face. The room was clean and comfortable. I don’t have a single complaint about my stay. Will most definitely recommend and return. Thank you Jim and Ruth!!
Cons: That I had to leave....
Pros: Friendly owners...great breakfast....location was ideal for checking out nearby towns. Would consider booking again
Pros: the breakfast is yummy and fresh! we will visit again when we back to NJ.
Pros: Breakfast was delicious. Dining room was beautiful. Grounds were lovely. Views were beautiful.
Pros: Beautiful historic home on the edge of farmland, very easy to find on a mainroadway.

Pros: Owners were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delightful and freshly prepared. Personal touches were lovely such as snacks and homemade cookies. Overall a perfect stay.
Pros: Little river is the nicest b&b we have ever stayed at. The house is in a great location, an idyllic setting, spotlessly clean, every conceivable facility to make your stay comfortable. Peterborough was a great stop on our trip, there is plenty to see and do. Oh and I nearly forgot, the hosts are amazing, so so helpful, such nice people and breakfast was pretty amazing too!!! A must if you are in the area, and if you are not, well worth a detour!!
Cons: I can’t think of one minus not one!
Pros: Rob and Paula were very friendly and took every care to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. They provided recommendations for food and activities in the Peterborough area and Paula cooked a tasty breakfast each morning.
Cons: This is down to personal preference, but I didn't find the bed particularly comfortable.
Pros: Owners were extra nice & helpful.
Pros: Paula and Rob are exceptional hosts. They made our stay more than comfortable, attending to our every need and provided us with a delicious, filling breakfast ! We hope to stay with them when in the area again !
Pros: The place was spotless, fresh and very clean. We loved the room, and the river running behind the inn could put you to sleep! Rob and Paula were great hosts!! We plan on going back soon!!
Pros: Rob and Paula are just wonderful innkeepers! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the B & B and will definatly be returning. The food was great, the company was great and the home is immaculate!
Cons: Everything was great!
Pros: Interesting, dedicated owners. Good location in an interesting town.
Pros: Rob and Paula were warm, wonderful hosts. They made us feel like we were truly at home. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer!
Located in Peterborough, Jack Daniels Motor Inn is within a 15-minute walk of Mariposa Museum and World Cultures Center and Peterborough Town House. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and coffee/tea in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: We have stayed here before and actually lived in this town for 8 years. The Jack Daniels is a great value, close to beautiful Peterborough. Staff are friendly and kind and the rooms are comfortable. Will definitely stay here again in the future.
Cons: There's nothing we didn't like to
Pros: The room and the entire property was clean and well taken care. The owners and the staff take a lot of pride in running the establishment. Staff was very friendly.
Cons: There can be a bit of road noise the closer you are to the street.
Pros: I came for almost a week to work a wood firing at the Sharon Arts Center 9 minutes car ride away. The room was Super clean .. I had a strange schedule and they accommodated with great communication between staff members so I could get my room stocked early to navigate my odd sleeping hours .. the linens were super clean and had supportive new mattresses and plenty of pillows. I will definitely stay again if I am in the area:))
Pros: Small and cozy little motor in.
Cons: Pillows were very uncomfortable
Pros: I sometimes have business in the Peterborough area and always stay at the JDMI. It is always clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff is friendly but not intrusive. I have never had a complaint. Good hotel.
Pros: Lots of free snacks and beverages.
Cons: Couldn’t open curtains due to lack of privacy on a ground floor room. A second set of curtains that allow light in but provide some privacy would go a long way. A few types of pillows would also help. The pillows were very hard.
Pros: nice setting just on the outskirts of the town. Good for a nice stroll into town and get dinner.
Pros: Beds were comfortable, room clean and nicely furnished, quiet. Only negative is the prominent stale smell of old cigarette smoking. Place needs airing out BADLY; maybe even replace carpet and bedding. For someone sensitive to smell thismakesssn uncomfortable stay. Unfortunate because otherwise the place is very nice.
Pros: Breakfast on Tuesday.
Cons: They missed breakfast Monday.
Pros: Close to downtown.
Pros: I booked a room on short notice due to a family emergency in a nearby town. The Jack Daniel's was convenient, clean, a good value and close to the charming center of Peterborough.
Pros: The clerk who took our reservation read a request my daughter had put in without my knowledge. She had requested for someone to draw a picture of a kitty saying “We miss you!” So when I checked I found the cutest note that made us so happy. Jack daniels Inn is lucky to have a clerk who is a talented artist and has a kind generous kind heart!
Pros: I loved the location and how cozy and homey it felt! The food was excellent and the staff was wonderful! I’m already thinking about going back again for a little getaway!
Cons: I loved everything about it!
Pros: Restaurant and Pub
Cons: Room was small. Possibly haunted
Pros: This is an older INN with a lot of character and a super friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay
Cons: Not really , but being on a country road in NH when it snows heavily does make driving a little precarious.
Pros: Location, rustic colonial feel
Cons: AC unit went off and on all night. It's rather noisy
Pros: Rudy and the staff were amazing. Food was incredible. Wonderful experience...
Pros: The hotels in the area about 30 min away were rated poorly and family who stayed at them agreed-this was away from everything, staff was super nice both at check in and check out-room was clean and had a bathroom and small TV and we were able to take a five min walk down a wooded path to a beautiful lake where we could rent kayaks -super quiet all around-would def stay here again!
Pros: you ask how was my breakfast ? the 2days we stood there they never served breakfast. The restaurant was never open the 2 days we were there. There was no coffee pot in the room, no iron, no refrigerator in the room. We found a few dead bugs on the floor. we were going out to a wedding and we could not lock our room door, the lock was broke so w had to leave like that, no locking door with all our belongings there. they said " everything should be ok leaving the door that way while we were gone. they were going to try to get in touch the maint men. and way over price for a room like that. never again. had to write this here in this space because the bottom space don't allow you to ay this much.
Cons: read above.^
Pros: the staff was outstanding, breakfast was perfect, the room was very comfortable and quiet. we had a restful stay and are returning in June
Pros: They only serve breakfasts on week ends.
Cons: There was o handicap rooms all rooms were on second floor.
Pros: Comfortable bed. Clean room. A number of places in hotel to sit, read, chat, drink and eat.
Cons: We wished, a small breakfast had been included.
Pros: The location to where we needed to be was convenient.
Cons: The cable didn’t work. They offered another room but cable didn’t work there either.
Pros: Very helpful and friendly staff
With a stay at The Monadnock Inn in Jaffrey, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Shattuck Golf Course and Jaffrey Civic Center. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast good.
Cons: My debit card was hacked after making reservation on bookings.com. Not happy about that, at all. Room was smallish and didn't have a TV.
Pros: Breakfast was perfect. Made al la cart.
Pros: Very Nice Place to Stay! Don't let the outside fool you, even though it is rough around the outside edges, it is a beautiful, Clean, Friendly, Comfortable place to stay. It is an antique so if you love old homes, this is a definite great place to stay.
Cons: Couldn't figure out the TV in our Room.
Pros: Loved the colonial architecture and interior decor, especially the lovely squeaky timber floors and shabby-chic ambiance. Christine, the host and chef, was delightful! Having a bar brought in locals too.
Cons: A little less urgency serving the meal; slow down — no need to serve mains while starter still being enjoyed!
Pros: The Inn is made up of buildings from the early 1800s, so have appropriate expectations. We stayed in the Currier House down the street, with beautiful built ins and comfortable common spaces. No AC in our room, but we were comfortable. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Dinner was delicious and the free breakfast was better than the usual hotel buffet or menu, as far as free breakfasts go. We recommend visiting The Friendly Farm and hiking at Wales Preserve while you’re in the area.
Pros: It was quiet, very clean and close to local attractions.
Pros: The premise is cute and in a beautiful location.
Cons: Booked a room last minute for a brief few hours Buisness meeting. It was never cleaned prior to our getting the room key. Left over food, bed linens were slept in and the room was quite warm. Ac was not sufficient. The place is cute and in a beautiful location but our experience was very dissatisfying given the $124 booking fee.
Pros: Best breakfast in the past three months of travel! A truly fabulous omelet!
Cons: Shower was very small, but understandably so as the place is an early nineteenth century house which has been converted.
Pros: The staff were lovely. The breakfast was good.
Cons: No elevator. The pub was not open the 2 evenings we were there.
Pros: Porch and restaurant were great breakfast was well done and comfortable dinning dining area
Cons: Rooms were a litte small
Pros: Quaintness, shabby chic, convenient. Local people, local charm & local hospitality; just what it should be.
Cons: Sound transmission bad but to be expected in an old building. Room was generally clean; just a few cob webs here & there.
