Pros: Absolutely beautiful home in a magical forest setting with lovely attentive hosts. What a haven for relaxation! At bedtime we could hear an owl hooting and the nearly full moon behind the forest trees seen from the bedroom window was breathtaking. Breakfast round one table with the other guests (though we're normally private people) was great fun and the food was lovely. Wish we had booked for more than one night..... Everything truly delightful. Thank you so much Ian and Linda

7.0 Good
Pros: Very much a hotel where guests return year after year, lovely surroundings, cosy atmosphere & good food.
Cons: The room we had was directly over the front door & the low window gave us a direct view over the outside table & chairs, with eye to eye contact with anyone sat outside, needing the blind to be closed for privacy & as the room was over the bar & the front door, we heard the door banging constantly & talking outside late in the evenng. All to be expected but we as residents should not have to put up with this inconvenience. We did ask for a change of room, but reception never came back to us, even to say no other rooms were available. We thought the bar where we ate, was very dark even on a sunny evening.

Pros: The staff were super helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious too! :-)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was clean and confortable, I particularly liked how the tables were set out in the residents' dining room We have stayed in many hotels and guest houses and can honestly say that the breakfast was up there with the best of them..the only slight negative was that there were no croissants. The toaster was by and far the most efficient and fastest I've ever seen!. Each slice was evenly toasted. We had our dinner in the public Dining room . The quality of the food was excellent and the menu, although not very large, was varied. The restaurant staff were efficient , friendly and seemed to enjoy working there. We have no hesitation in recommending this establishment.
Cons: Absolutely nothing. Perfect!
