The hotel staff is excellent, helpful and very easy to talk to, in Italian, German and English. We enjoyed a room with an enormously high ceiling and a nice private balcony across from the entrance of the hotel. With the bikes we rented in the hotel, we were only 10 minutes away from the centers of either Lido di Camaiore or Marina de Pietra Santa. Most of the guests were 65+ of age, but kind enough towards us 30-ers. With no shops or restaurants in the direct neighborhood, we understood why most of the senior guests had full pension.
The hotel was on the seafront and had its own car park. The public areas were very light and airy with excellent furnishings.
Very clean room, good staff, excellent food. I appreciated expecially the breakfast, which was rich and various, and the wonderful view of the roof terrace. Free Wi-fi internet connection is definitively a plus!
Very nice service, staff, excellent food
The location was very good, and it offered a good basic facilities. The roof-top terrace was very good, and allowed a nice area to relax and see the views of the mountains and the coast. The breakfast could have been better in terms of choices of food. The food that was available was excellent.
free bikes, staff and breakfast the hot tub was very cold
polite staff, good price, nice breakfast, clean no refridgerator in room, heating wasn't on(2nd April, was bit cold), small blankets
parking was very tight for my car
The place was charming and perfect for the relaxing stay we planned. We practically had the place to ourselves, so peace and quiet was abundant. We paid for access to the beach across the street...very reasonable and convenient. Appreciated the free bicycle use, and we could walk to many restaurants and shops. There were several comfortable seating areas, both inside and out for reading, talking, or board games. Beds were comfortable, and the bathroom shower was spacious by European standards! The staff was friendly, and helpful when asked. We chose to eat dinner at the hotel both nights, and the food was good, though we never really knew the cost until check-out. I would recommend this place to others who want to experience this nice little beach town. Though the staff was friendly and accomodating, the service was not quite as proactive as they might have been. We had to ask for our morning tea and coffee, rather than it being offered. The hotel was only 1/3 full, and we expected a little more attentiveness. To get the seaside view, we were on the front of the hotel, overlooking a coastal road. There was traffic noise all night long, but my earplugs helped me sleep well.
I liked the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff very much indeed The room with single beds very small but would be fine for children
Location The hotel looks tired and needs to be refurbished. The breakfast was cheap, nothing special at all.
The people the place the beauty It was fantastic great staff
The decoration is a good exemple of a medium range ancient Palazo as they are available in Italy. Large rooms and old luxery. The hotel is rather a place used to sleep only. There is no life even at breakfast.
Albergo Pietrasanta is wonderful and I've stayed there 3 times. It has a wonderful ovation to experience the quaint town.
Location was perfect, I had a beautiful room with sea view! Food in restaurant very nice and they provided a good breakfast. Hotel is very clean and well run. Staff are very nice but very serious.....there are no information leaflets at all about local tours, where to go, what to do etc. Lacks atmosphere, some background music perhaps.....Come on Italy, sell your area!!!
Very good location near the beach. Good service, friendly staff!
good location Not a 4 star hotel. Poor breakfast selection - ran out of orange & tea. Bar ran out of beer. Pool ran out of towels. Poor bar billing arrangements. Not good value for money.
Convenience to my friend's home. That was it. Sadly, not at all. I had to have most of the items replaced in my room due to poor maintenance or lack thereof (remote for TV, phone, etc) and on my morning, they failed to call my room with a wake-up call. Also, the waitress in the hotel's restraurant was rude.
the very nice hotel staff
Great Hotel with very friendly staff. Great breakfast and great location in the town of Pietrasanta and in Tuscany in general. Only 1 hour from the Cinque Terre and 5 miles from the beach.
Beautiful room & bathroom. Really clean. Great breakfast. The best is their staff! They'll help with tourist and restaurant tips like nowhere else. Location is a 5 minute walk to the historic centre. Parking in front of the door not a problem. Beaches in Marina de Pietrasanta or Forte dei Marmi really close. Nothing.
Every thing was perfert - would love to return to this hotel
Located in charming small city. A lot of good local restaurants around. Free internet access. Great marble bathroom. Could be closer to the beach.
Beautiful Hotel, super staff and super-clean and bautiful room. Bathroom was beautiful and very clean as well!!! Very Good breakfast. Maybe the street it was in and no private parking but the hotel gives you a pass with which you can park anywhere in the city for free.
Beautiful bathrooms, rooftop & pool are spectacular, nice rooms, well kept, well decorated. Some of the desk staff were not very friendly, and we had great difficulty with one staff member who did not speak a word of English and could not provide us with directions to the airport.
Hotel is new and moden. We like this hotel
The suite setup was very well thought out, very comfortable, and very quiet. The balcony was a very good size. All of the facilities were good particularly the swimming pool The dining experience was not good,it was generally a bit random and did not always get the order right. The arrangements for children was poor as the length of time that it took to have the meal was excessive
Peace and quiet. Excellent rooms and staff. Hotel near several interesting spots: Pisa, Lucca, Siena and in front of the beach.
cleanliness of the hotel
Nice modern hotel ! Staff friendly. The room (junior suite) was comfortable and commodious. The dinner was too expensive for the quality. The service was not good (to slow and not competent).
A very good quality hotel with large comfortable rooms,Staff service was excellent and food was very good.
The staff was nice and friendly. They upgraded our room to a beautiful suite. The pool area is great and the pool bar serves great fresh salads. The hotel has bikes you can borrow for free as you can use the cycling roads running all along the beach front. The american bar on the roof top offers a fantastic view to the sea and the mountains and they served delicious fresh grilled fish. The cofees served for breakfast is really not good. Carpets in the corridors have big stains and because they are white/cream, it is very noticable.
The hotel is very modern with spacious rooms. The hotel is not very central.
Definitly will go again!
very nice hotel. The only thing I would recommend is to have something for the kids to do when it is raining, bad weather. e.g a games room, or some board games , pool, table tennis maybe. also, let guests know they have to bring their own tennis rackets.
Good price for 3 course dinner Aside from reception staff, other staff were unfriendly. Information about what they provide was not displayed nor in the rooms.
Peaceful surroudings, the attentive staff, particular the head waiter in the dinning room, excellant service the hotel was superb, if I had one improvement to make it would be to provide a courtacy car or taxi between the hotel and pietrasanta rail station
Our room was quiet, clean and the staff were wonderfully helpful. We also had half board here and were delighted with our meals - two choices for each course! Everything was delicious. The Med. beach is a quick walk away and truly beautiful. Great location! Breakfast was also hearty and geared to the tour groups which obviously use this facility frequently. Each room was also provided hanging lines on the balcony - great for drying out the few items we had. Pool was clean and nicely located in a garden setting. As often happens when a tour group is on site, those who are traveling alone get a bit lost, but we asked the questions we needed to and were given wonderful assistance by the front desk. We also just delayed our dinner hour to avoid the rush of the groups. By breakfast, they had vanished, so they must have eaten earlier than the posted times. Fine!
All is perfect there!
Standard of rooms was poor. Poor quality furnishings and the hotel charges a premium price for a 3 star.
Location is excellent just a short walk to the beach and in a quiet relaxing area. Breakfast not worth getting out of bed for. Poor selection and quality.
It was very nice with a nice pool, and good breakfast. no fridge in room,no ice machine, limited parking.
Excellent, quiet but central setting and lovely garden/pool area. Very high quality room and ensuite, excellent restaurant/menu. Efficient, helpful, friendly, professional staff. Room insulation good, so no disturbed nights caused by adjoining guests. Wish we'd had a longer stay here, but would come here again.
We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and spacious. Bathroom was spacious and had a window. View from our room (towards the sea) was very nice overlooking neighboring villa's roofs drowning among beautiful trees. We stayed on the top floor (4th floor) and that was the best choice. Breakfast was very good. Bed linen and towels were changed on daily basis. Conditioner worked excellent. Hotel is located only 300 meters from the beach, but on a very quiet street among beautiful trees. So, overall this hotel is a very good choice, no wonder it costs like some 4 star hotels in the area.
Comfortable small hotel with a friendly atmosphere nice pool and central location to shops church resturants and road systems. No
we checked out early-in the morning instead of staying two nights. the hotel was nothing like the pictures displayed. really awful
Very helpful and nice reception and breakfast personel.Nice with the bicycles one can borrow and the icetea that is free and always available. Nice fresh fruit at breakfast every day. Our room didn't get cleaned one day and another day I had to find loo paper. Reception was very apologetic and gave us a little present as an excuse. Breakfast buffet could have some cheese, ham and maybe even an egg as an alternative to all the sweet things.Aircondition is a bit loud but works well.
Friendly helpful staff. Clean room. Room over-looked a very noisy bar where people were outside drinking until the early hours which made it very difficult to sleep.
Would have been nice to have fresh ingredients at breakfast. Security poor e.g. late at night keys left on desk with no staff etc
This hotel is lovely. Excellent staff and attention to service. free bike hire made getting round the resort painless.
Location is very good - about 100 meters from the beach. Guest of the hotel gets discount for visit on one of the private beaches. Breakfast is served until the last customer. Wireless internet connection works only in the hall near reception. The hotel lacks own parking and you have to leave a car on the narrow street in front of the hotel.
The grounds are beautiful. Bathroom is horrible.
Friendly staff, very clean and quiet place (most of the time). Old fashioned decor in the room; the fire alarm went off during the night twice during our stay; a wedding took place during our stay and caused a lot of noise; the soundproofing of the place could be improved.
The excellent service in the dining room. First class! I couldn't stay longer!
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the standard of service was excellent. The hotel itself was of very high quality. We would recommend hiring bikes at the hotel as a hugely enjoyable way of getting around. A bus stop is conveniently located within 20 yards of the hotel and offers the potential to travel to Lucca and Florence with a simple change at Viareggio. Nothing
Excellent Hotel. Could not be faulted
100% everything, breakfast, rooms, facilities, very satisfied. see you next year. fam van den bosch BELGIUM
very friendly and helpful staff, rich breakfast buffet, pool, very close to beach, nature and green it was impossible to relax on pool, because there was a lot of traffic noise near the hotel, very high beach charges
What a fabulous hotel. The beautiful old buildings set in stunning parkland: the luxurious swimming pool, and the attentive staff. So close to the beach, and amenities of the town. We will certainly be back
The Villa part of the hotel is very decadent. The grounds are very nice. The room we stayed in was very comfortable. We spent an enjoyable 2 nights.
Spotless presentation, comfortable bed, air-con in room, friendly staff, good breakfast and evening meal, quiet location!
Nice place, close to the beaches
Staff very friendly and used their internet connection to obtain times and plan our trips out by train or bus and were generally very helpful.
Free access to bicycles, friendly helpful staff.
The staff was beyond nice. They went out of their way to help us and make us feel comfortable at the hotel. Specifically, the first day we slept late, I still had jetlag, and the hotel held our breakfast for us and served us well after the breakfast period. This was not only wonderful service, but grately appreciated. The staff spoke English wonderfully and I happen to know they spoke several othe Nothing comes to mind.
It was very convenient and very comfortable. The staff could not have been nicer and although we did not partake of all of the food service that was available the times we did the food was excellant. i woud definately stay there again.
