Liked the reasonable rate for the area. The room renovations were positive especially the flooring. Room was clean and comfortable. Only a couple of things: The towels were a little small for adults. I understand keeping cost down but a hair dryer in the room would of been real nice.
nothing dirty, noisy, smelly
Very unfriendly staff, scary and dirty facilities I wouldnt recommend this place
Nothing Everything. The rooms looked dirty, there were bugs everywhere, towels had holes and were very thin.... the lighting was dim and the temp control looked like it was falling apart. The only reason we stayed was because we were extremely tired.
The man working at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Poor location, lots of road/outside noise
Cheap, room was clean, refrigerator/microwave Incredibly unfriendly staff who answered the bell/door in pajamas and made me feel like I didn't belong. Towels were skimpy -- slightly larger than hand towels. A few outlets didn't work.
Room had blood on door jam, pool was closed, internet didn't work.
You get what you pay for most of the time in life. I got what I payed for. It's an old hotel. Sometimes you can't get clean what is old, like carpet or the smell. There were a few bugs in the room, at least the ones I saw.
The staff was great! The room seemed clean. I accidentally booked a smoking room, but the room didn't smell as awful as I would have anticipated. I had to get in the shower with my two year old because the plug for the bath wouldn't work. My sons socks were filthy from the floor being dirty.
The night attendant I spoke to over the phone was very helpful and took care of business. For 89 dollars a night for 1 king size bed isn't very bad. However, when the bed sheets and comforter have stains that look and smell like 5 people have had sex on it right before you arrive it's a problem. I was disgusted by this and will not return to this Super 8 motel.
Courteous staff & friendly atmosphere Room key did not work for many hours due to low battery
The staff were rude, there was another person's hair left in the shower, and the overall atmosphere was bad and felt unsafe.
Easy access to Savannah, direct route from the hotel. This is the best thing I can say about this place. Even the discounted travel website price I paid was too much for this place. Travel website classed it at three stars, but two is being generous. Bathroom dirty, tub looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. Dirt build up in the corners, cracks and crevices. Toilet loose and wobbly. Breakfast is a joke. Store bought 2-3 day old pastries, one choice of cereal, no coffee, fridge with milk and OJ doesn't even keep it cool much less cold. No staff even acknowledged me when turning in my key because they never came to the desk. With a shameful "free breakfast" like that... I wouldn't want to show my face either.
The Hotel was really clean and nice. Only complaint, it's not in the best area of town, a bar in front of the hotel was a little louder than I would have liked it.
This was the most horrible experience of my life. Room was not prepared, even though we arrive at 9 pm. Filth everywhere. Staff was rude. Made racial comments about the "white" couple in the room before us (and we are white). Covered up apparent blood stains on the pillows with cases. Then we found similar stains on the sheets. My girlfriend was accosted by a drunk man at the door. I had to threaten police to get him to leave (but wanted to do much worse to him). Couldn't stay and the manager slammed and locked a door in my face and told me she had cameras and I was making up my complaints. We left and found a clean, comfortable room down the road. Horrible! I'll never trust your ratings and staged pictures again!
Close to town The doors were hard to close. Had to slam them to close them. Disruptive in the morning or evening
Hotel was convenient to River Street, shopping and restaurants. Considering was holiday, price was good compared to many other hotels in same general area. Bathroom was dirty; shower knobs were leaking and rusted, human hair in shower, in sink and on bathroom floor. Carpet was torn in several places. Bed was not a true "king" size and uncomfortable. Many rooms were occupied by permanent residents so noise level was high.
Hotel Staff were friendly. Did not had a complimentary breakfast.
What I really enjoyed about this hotel was how "homey" it was. You see I am an unhygenic slovenly person and I hate feeling so uncomfortable at these ritzy places that charge you three times as much just for basic cleanliness. I mean "health standards" are really just code for "price gouging". I really enjoyed their cozy personal touches! They even leave some pubic hair in the bathroom and all over the beds just to remind you of home! And just in case you didn't notice them all over the shower (I mean it's not like I was really going to need to use that anyways, right?) they leave a few on the hand towels to keep you on your toes. I also really enjoyed the blood splatters on the walls, the blood soaked curtains, and bullet holes! The grease stains on the beds and all of the furniture as well as the acrid chemical smell emanating from the carpets were really not my favorite. I'm usually more of a food stains and wet dog smell kind of a person. Also, the woman at the front desk was no help in anything much less finding out how to get any of the appliances to work (though to be fair, the TV DID make some ominous clicking noises about 20 minutes after you touched its remote). These and curtains that didn't close, blood specks from recent bed bug activity, and fixtures that shocked you to the touch are really a small price to pay for an overpriced adventure into the slummy suburbs of Savannah! I mean safe and sanitary just doesn't give the authentic experience!
Closeness to old town Savannah ground floor rooms had ants everywhere.... they moved us immediately to a better room.
Reasonable pricing. They don't have a blow dryer and a clock in a room, so it was inconvenient. I wish they could show guests what they have and what they don't have in a room. otherwise, everything else was ok.
The staff was very nice Dirt in the sheets, found hair on the towels. Not a good area to stay in. Right next to a sketchy bar/club had to turn up tv to not hear music.
I liked that I had a bed to sleep in. The room smelled bad. It was hot when I walked in. The curtains were stained. The t.v. was way across the room from the bed. The chair was so old and dirt, I was afraid to sit on it. The bathroom was gross. The sink was cracked and stained. The bathtub was old and stained and the drain was broken. When I took a shower it didn't drain and shower curtain would fly up and stick to my body pretty much the whole time. I stayed 2 nights but only took 1 shower because of all of these things. The toliet paper holder on the wall was broken so it had to sit on the back on toliet. There was mold around the fixtures. When I turned off the light switch by the door and every thing went out, t.v., lights, everything. It was not a comfortable stay.
Staff was very friendly and great pices for the room I liked everything
It seemed like a decent place to stay for the money. I wouldn't have watched the sunrise at the beach if I didn't have to flee this room so unexpectedly early. We were awoken by bed bugs. They gave us a new room and before we moved our stuff we checked the beds and found more bed bugs. We ended up checking out with a refund at 4am leading to a very exhausted day in Savannah.
