Sightseeing & relaxed & ate ALOT of authentic Mexican Foods Loved EVERYTHING I definitely will be back VERY soon
Booked at a great price of $50. Not sure I would stay at their published price of 1200 peosos. A bit expensive. Very clean, very comfortable, very quiet, very friendly staff, great location, but no character. No character. Could have been in any city on n the US
Very very clean and comfy. Great breakfasts. Close to beach & restaurants Can't think of nothing
The staff and service at this hotel were above and beyond expectations. The location is perfect being that it is steps away from everything that Viejo Vallarta offers and even closer to the malecon and the beach. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Like one of the reviewers noted, I too was placed in a room that faced the air conditioning units in the courtyard. The best outcome for this situation is that I know I would have been moved to a better room if I had asked. But I was only there one night so didn't bother.
The price is obviously a plus. The staff were really nice and the concierge spoke really good English. The air conditioning worked really well. The pool is beautiful however right in the middle of everything so everyone is watching you from the restaurant and the hotel rooms. I also liked the location, it felt right inside of the culture of Puerto Vallarta, it didn't give off that resort vibe at all, if that's what you're looking for. The shower we had would always flood the entire bathroom, with only a thin curtain and no ledge to catch the excess water. Also, everything just felt dirty. We found a weird yellowish stain on our sheets and they always felt a little sticky. Oh and by far the worst part was all of the fleas. There were hundreds of fleas in the bed, on the floor. Everywhere. And even though the air conditioning worked, it was so loud it's hard to hear your spouse talk.
Excellent staff, excellent location, clean and comfortable room, quiet. Would recommend to anyone that wants a great place at a great price. WiFi in the room would cut out a lot.
The rooms were clean and has your basic needs. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. We needed to use the phone to confirm a tour and the guy at the front desk called for me. They also stored our bags for us while we went out since check out was at noon and we didn't have to leave until later. The beach was not even a minute walk away. The market was across the street and there were placed to eat all around us. The location was great. I wish the wi-fi worked throughout the hotel and not just in our room.
This hotel is a gem. Beautiful, clean, well-maintained, and close to the beach, shopping, and entertainment. Mike and Irma were gracious hosts and made me feel very welcome. The hotel's restaurant is also fantastic and beautifully reflects the owners heritage and high-standards. A+
We enjoyed our stay at Hacienda Alemana. Mike, Irma and Tatiana made us feel at home. They are very helpful, recommended us restaurants and places to visit. Waking distance to the beach, restaurants, Rio Cuale, tours. We had dinner at the Hacienda Alemana Restaurant and it was great German food. Clean, warm pool, very relaxing.
Friendly and caring staff, great location, great breakfast Management could keep on eye on how well rooms are getting cleaned. Cleaning people put the coffee mugs back on the tray more than once without washing them.
must evrything evrything was closed at 9:00 PM
2 very short blocks from the beach. Taxi's cruise right outside the front gate. Excellent restaurant, Cafe de Olla on same street. Clean rooms, quiet at night, bottled water dispensers on each level, charming gardens from bottom to top. Such small things to complain about: needing conditioner not just shampoo, better cleaning of sink & toilet pedestals because of our dirty sandy feet. I hate to even complain about anything, our stay was so nice.
Location was fabulous, restaurant was very good.Staff was very helpful.Room was small, but clean and all we needed for our stay.Pool area very clean.
location room to small bed not comfortable
Great area and hotel employee at the front desk really helped us out. Very nice hotel layout with the rooftop pool and open area.
Great staff and close to everything in the Romantic Zone. Love the maid service. Right in heart of the action and can be get noisy.
We just came back from a week in Puerto Vallarta at the Posada de Roger. It's located exactly where we wanted, near the Playa de los Muertos in the zona romantica. The hotel is lovely in the traditional Mexican style, will lots of plants and flowers. A gorgeous setting. The rooms are charming, clean and have everything we need. Good bed. Lovely art on the walls. A clean, simple bathroom in which everything works. There's small, but charming swimming pool, surrounded by potted flowers, which was almost always empty, and always clean. We swam in it every day, sometimes twice. The resttaurant next door, Freddy's Toucan, is open for breakfast and lunch, and it's truly exceptional. Delicious food, great service, and another charming atmosphere. Hotel and restaurant staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time here.
Posada de Roger was everything we wanted. You walk out the door and life happens, right in the middle of everything. Breakfast downstairs, bakery across the street, Paco's Tacos down the street...and Los Muertos beach just down the street.

I read the previous reviews and thought it would be a great place to stay for the night. I enjoyed the overall location and charm of the hotel. I had an room on the ground floor in the courtyard. I was fine that the room was small, but the pillows were flat and very bumpy. The lock on the door kind of locked ... not really. And, having a room in the courtyard meant a lot of noise all night long. There was a group of 25 young adults who stayed that same weekend and let's say they thought the courtyard was their personal living room from 8:00pm to 4:00am. I know I didn't get any sleep. I was wondering the whole night where was the night time manager was!?! Other guests asked them to be quiet, but they got ignored. Overall, if you book this hotel ask for a room not in the courtyard if you like not to be disturbed in the night. It is a good value for what you get.
Location and overall decorations. Very pretty. We were on the fourth floor so was a bit of a climb. Next time will request s room on a lower floor.
The WiFi did not work in my room and the rooms could have been a bit cleaner.
The hotel was within walking distance of a shopping center with a grocery store and several restaurants, and across the street from a bus stop and taxi stand. NO.
Everything is new and clean. Well maintained Could have been closer to the beach area
I loved how close the hotel was to the downtown area. I also liked the breakfast offered every morning (we stayed 5 nights). The staff at the front was very helpful when I asked how to rent jetskis. I did not like how the cleaning service came so late in the day, around 4-5 pm, would of preferred if they came to clean the room earlier.
The hotel is right on the Malecon with the BEST view for gorgeous sunsets over the water! Even though our room was street side, we could still see the water and hear the waves crashing to shore as we slept! The staff was helpful and prompt. We were only 1-2 blocks from bus stops (depending on the direction of travel). It was a very inexpensive and a great value for the money! The "free continental breakfast" was rather minimal, but we supplemented with heartier items and paid the difference, which was VERY reasonable. Service in the restaurant was a bit slow.
I found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. The location can not be faulted and the room was clean and well maintained. The pool is great and sitting there in the evening listening to the waves was very peaceful. Air conditioning was good as was the shower. The room we got did not have an ocean view and unfortunately we were not able to upgrade due to the Mexican holiday. Room a little on the small size but mind you we did not spend a lot of time in it. Lots of noise from the street as well as the clubs that played until almost dawn. The weekends were the worst. Food at the hotel was on the mediocre side and pricey compared to other outlet in Vallarta. Fundamentally a basic hotel but well run and well located. Would not stay again but only because I would play more to get more amenities ----but for the price the Rosita is good value.
The coffee The room appeared to need some work. It did not give a good impression.
Great, friendly staff. Great part of town, within walking distance of just about everything. Good restaurants nearby. Beach just a short walk across Olas Altas. Able to use the amenities of all 3 hotel properties including beach service, pools, etc. Free wifi for guests, though can be unreliable on the Suites side, especially during the day, actually pretty good on the beach though. Great value with a traditional regional atmosphere.
Rooms are like small apartment, studio with Living room, Kitchen and bedroom so if you're only two or just yourself is a better value to stay at Casa Don~a Susana just accross the street and use the same services at the 3 hotel property (Hotel Playa los Arcos, Los Arcos Suites and Casa Dona Susana).
This is the 2nd time we stayed here, the first time was 2 years ago and the room was very clean. This year when we got to our room the furniture was very dirty had to cover them with sheets. Other than that over all a good place.
We have been coming to PV annually for 21 years and have stayed at Los Arcos Suites for last 12 years. Earlier stays were at main hotel Playa Los Arcos. Sadly the last two visits did not meet expectations. Both times there was a problem with our reservation even tho we had booked about two months in advance. The first time they put us in a tiny, tiny room behind the front desk. Room was at street level so we had to keep drapes closed all the time for privacy. After complaining and complaining we were able to switch rooms the second day. However, the switch took several hours of being told to come back at noon, at 1Pm, at 2pm only to be told new room was yet ready. Finally got into new room. Last Feb we booked room in advance and upon arrival were told that even tho we had a reservation, they did not have a room for us at the Suites and we would have to go to Los Arcos. Even tho they were supposedly expecting us we had to stand in line and wait and wait. Got to our room, which was not one of the better rooms, and then the next day had to stand in line to check out, arrange for storage of luggage, etc. Although owned by same company we had to pay separately for one night at Los Arcos. Somehow we ended up paying more than quoted price. Then around round of being told to go to the Suites at noon, no rooms ready come back, several times. Wasted several hours. Nothing offered to compensate us for wasted time. Not even a free drink coupon. Looking for a different place this January. Also hot tub is lukewarm.
stayed here before. great area. rooms clean, friendly staff, beds are comfortable, quiet at night.internet cafes close by.
ME AND MY WIFE STAY HERE AFTER STAYING FOR 2 NIGHTS AT AN ALL INCLUSIVE HOTEL WITCH WE DIDNT LIKE. YOU PAY TOO MUCH MONEY FOR THE FOOD THEY GIVE YOU. AFTER THAT HORRYBLE EXPERIENCE WE CAME TO LOS ARCOS. WE SAVE A LOT OF MONEY ON THE ROOM AND WE WERE DOWNTOWN VALLARTA WITCH IS GREAT. WE WERE ABLE TO GO OUT DURING THE DAY AND AT NIGHT WE FELT REALLY SAFE THERES A LOT OF PEOPLE AT ALL TIMES. AND THERES A LOT OF PLACES WHERE YOU CAN GO EAT. NOT EVEN IF YOU GO TO THE EXPENSIVE RESTAURANTS YOU DONT SPEND ALOT OF MONEY. WE HAD A GREAT TIME AND WE WILL GO BACK THERE, NO MORE ALL INCLUSIVE FOR US. AT LEAST NOT IN VALLARTA.
My wife and I have stayed at Los Arcos Suites several times over the past ten years or so. It is near two other Los Arcos properties. One is a large family oriented hotel on the beach; the other is a smaller, older property with a great pool across the street fron Los Arcos Suites. Los Arcos Suites also has a fine pool and is generally un-crowded. The property has aged and needs updating. Furnishings, drapes, bedspreads are old and show their age. Bathroom fixtures are aged and need to be upgraded, as do the showers. The bathrooms are small and unattractive; unusual in Puerto Vallarta. The kitchenette is virtually useless; and why use it with so many fine food outlets nearby. The refrigerator did work and kept our beers cold. Nice staff, decent service. Would like to see more attention to detailed cleaning.
not a friendly place for alternative lifestyle vacation
The Hotel Staff were excellent!. They were very helpful in helping with directions and my needs. They are welcoming and friendly to visitors like me. The building is quite old, refurbished room but quite cozy and roomy. I was given a room with small kitchen, with utensils. Never used it though since I opted to have 'all inclusive' with meals, etc. but had to go to the other property which is just a few steps away. Was given an extra dinner for staying more than 7 days but never utilized it. There should have been more choices of restaurant to dine but there is only one. The restaurant staff remembered me, was so superb since they recognized me and even got my drinks in advance so with food I like, when there is a line. Great visit!.
While comfortable and convenient, this hotel needs a remodel, all fixtures and furniture are old.
The room was aways cleaned very well. We obtained good information and service from the staff. The hotel lobby was always clean. The staff was very friendly.
We stayed at Los Arcos in June for the first time, and will go back. The hotel is older, but it adds to the charm. The courtyard/pool area is quite lovely, and it is right on the beach. The room istelf was just ok. A little musty smelling, but who goes on vacation to spend most of their time in a hotel room? The location of Los Arcos is fantastic. You can walk everywhere, but if you do need a cab, they are right outside. There was so much to do in Vallarta, we had a hard time choosing! Our concierge helped us out with deciding. I recommend doing the Rythyms of the Night cruise. It was amazing. Our Concierge also told us which places to eat at, and which to avoid! He was a great help to us.
Hotel Encino is a charming old world beauty at a great price! Great location near markets, shops, restaurants and beach/boardwalk.
Roof top pool often empty ( while I was there ) Roof top restaurant awesome food and cheap Maid were friendly Gilberto - one of the front desk employee Who is very friendly and alway smiling and goes beyond to help you if you need anything. Roof top restaurant only open at 4pm and closed Mondays. It was cheap and good food. Wish they were open earlier Did not sell or provide ice Bedsheets and towels often stained-
