It is a 10 minutes train ride from the city, and it is just a block away from Astoria. The Paper Factory has 122 of the most stunning rooms that guests have ever seen.

The rooms feature luxurious linens, a work desk, flat-screen television, large windows for natural light, plush towels, turn down service nightly, original art and handmade furniture, Wi-Fi, in-room safe, iron, hairdryer, coffee maker, and complimentary bottles of water. Pros (+) The decor was the highlight of the stay. I was only in for a night but that didn't stop the service from giving their best.
Cons (-) I was on the first floor right on the street and I mean right on the street. The noise wasn't an issue as much as the people on the sidewalk looking right in my room. The tv didn't work. I found this out after coming home late and felt it eccentric to call to have it fixed at 2 am especially when you're only there for 1 night. Lastly, there were ants in my room. We felt like we were exploring and discovering as we'd take closer looks at vintage registers, a wood+leather ping pong table, or various London phonebooths. Pros (+) Got a good long term discount on the room. Nice coffee downstairs. Restaurant closed for renovations much of the time I was there, which was disappointing. Room bright and clean and comfortable. Right on top of the subway, though lots of repairs and delays when I was in town.
Cons (-) Housekeeping could have been a little more meticulous. Sometimes things weren't replaced.
