Cons. The hotel was closed when I got there.
Pros. Location proximity to Manhattan is great. Staff was helpful and courteous.
Cons. This hotel needs updating as it is quite shabby. My room was not very clean. The carpet was worn, stained, old and dirty. Noticed the lamp shade and curtains were torn. Found black mold in the tub / shower area. Breakfast is complimentary though food quality is very poor. The scrambled eggs and milk both tasted like chemicals - must have been made from a powder mix. Awful food and dirty worn out gross rooms. This is NOT a luxury boutique hotel. I would never stay here again.
Pros. Location to my meeting. Price, mostly clean. Reception was friendly, close to LGA.
Cons. Did not sleep well, needed ear plugs, traffic noise on the street all night. Maybe that's just NYC but hey. Do some soundproofing. Next time I'm staying at the Country Inn on their highest floor and I'm bringing ear plugs.
Pros. Appreciated the free breakfast and free water/coffee available at all times next to the lobby. Convenient location (although the proximity to the train means you can hear it - maybe depending on what side of the hotel you get?). Spacious rooms with a living area and bedroom with a door. Nice, helpful staff. Definitely enjoyed my stay!
