Pros: It was a lovely stay at L'Arco dei Sogni, run by Roseangela and her brother, who are very helpful, friendly and made us feel at home. The hotel is located in a quiet area where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Etna. The Bed and Breakfast is brand new, very clean and comfortable. Parking is not a problem as you can easily find a parking very close. Breakfast was divine! In the evening, one can easily enjoy a drink at the piazza close by. Highly recommended A+++
Pros: Lovely breakfast and great hospitality.
Pros: By far this was the BEST stay we have ever had in Sicily! L’ Arco Dei Sogni is a very small family run business located in Malvagna. The house is very well kept, modern, spacious and super clean! It has stunning views too. The food was divine! Words cannot describe how exceptional, tasty and delicious it was. Food is prepared upon request by Rosangela. Everything is home made with local genuine products. If you visit L’Arco dei Sogni you must definetly eat at least once there. We ended up dining every evening there to try as many different dishes as we could. We will surley miss your cooking and the cooking tips Rosangela xxx
Pros: Room was spacious and very clean; beautiful balcony overlooking Etna and the town. Hosts (Luigi and Rosangela) were very kind and welcoming; wonderful food and wine for dinner. There are many options of where to stay when exploring Etna- by staying here, we were able to take in a genuine experience of a Sicilian town.
Cons: Our GPS took us on a direct route to L'Arco Dei Sogni (straight up!). Follow the main road- though it is longer, it will take you right there.
Pros: The staff, definitely. Both Luigi and Rosangela were extremely helpful and kind. The rooms are fully renovated. I cannot think of a better place if you want to visit the Etna area.
Pros: Where to start... the host and his sister were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The cooked dinner for us and provided an excellent breakfast. The food was homemade, fresh and abundant. The property itself has been fully renovated and the rooms are very spacious. Our room even had a massage chair in a separate room, quite relaxing. Everything is spotlessly cleaned and the owner provided lots of info about the region. We went for a lovely walk in the natural reserve that starts at the end of the village. The location is near to many things and offers a great view on the Etna.
Cons: The village itself is quite small and only has 1 bar on the main square and no other restaurants. Not a problem, but just something to keep in mind.
Pros: This is surely the best accomodation I have stayed in 30 years travel !! The building has been recently lovingly restored. Very spacious rooms and cleanliness throughout. A very good breakfast and they do evening meals as well if you ask them. Luigi, the owner, and his extended family are wonderful and their kindness made this trip extra special. They go out of their way to grant your every wish. They organised my husband's 50th birthday party down to the balloons and with the nephew playing the bagpipes and accordion... You need a car to be able to travel since Malvagna is a mountain village and a bit out of the way. Arrivederci !
Featuring extensive lands with 2 pools, Etna Quota Mille is at an altitude of 960 metres in the Etna National Park. This country house selling local wine, oil and grapes, is 3 km from Randazzo. The Quota Mille’s restaurant specialises in Sicilian dishes prepared with local organic produce. Breakfast features cold cuts, cheese and eggs, accompanied by homemade doughnuts. Rooms have refined rustic design, a private entrance and face the pool, garden or countryside. Each is en suite, and includes air conditioning, a minibar and flat-screen TV. Wi-Fi throughout is free. On request, expert local guides will pick you up outside the property, where a trail to Mount Etna’s slopes start. Catania Airport is an hour drive away.
Pros: Staff very accommodating. I arrived 0245 and was met when I called from car park of hotel to hand me my room key and show me to my room. Nothing was too much trouble. Idyllic location and the whole property was amazing, attention to every detail of decoration and public areas. Would highly recommend.
Cons: Nothing about this place I didn't like
Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast delicious, place excellent and very clean
Pros: The restaurant is amazing and the food is excellent. Great wine list Comfortable and great location if you want to visit wineries
Cons: The staff was not really welcoming. They did not speak very good English and not the most helpful. Wi-fi is poor in junior suites
Cons: To hot in rooms A/C not good
Pros: Amazing property. Kind staff. Cozy rooms. Most food very good. Depends on what you order. Hundreds of wines.
Cons: When the property hosts events for external guests, residing guests are a bit neglected.
Pros: Food and lacation.
Pros: Like mentioned by others this place has one Big drawback, which is the large events they organize (at least in the weekends - we stayed Saturday till Monday). The agriturismo has appr. 10 rooms. The pool area is the central court of the agriturismo, and 3 bedrooms and the restaurant face it. The first night a wedding w 150 participants, high music, DJ shouting and fireworks at 2 by night, totally spoilt our sleep. The day after there was a big Birthday party at the pool-Edge during the day. So we did not find the peace we had expected, and the poolarea was difficult to enjoy, filled up w party-guests. We had one Junior suite, which was beautiful and comfortable. And then we had 2 of the rooms facing the pool - they were nice, but a bit stuffy. The staff are great and extremely helpful. The agriturismo is situated beautifully w a wonderful view to Etna, and a kind of bridgewalk where you can look over the surroundings. So had it not been for the crazily big and loud events, we would have been much more satisfied w our stay
Pros: The surroundings are amazing. Beautiful scenery. Concetta was very helpful throughout the stay.
Cons: No dining outside during our stay
Pros: The property is located in the country side with amazing view on the area. It has a great swimming pool, restaurant with amazing food (lots of local specialties). Room was clean and with a view on the swimming pool. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: Even if it's said to be the closest village, it's quite a long drive to the mount Etna.
With a stay at Borgo San Nicolao in Randazzo, you'll be 6.4 mi (10.3 km) from Il Picciolo Golf Club and 12.5 mi (20.2 km) from Gole Alcantara Botanical and Geological Park. Featured amenities include express check-in and express check-out. This farm stay has 2 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Franco, Denise and all their family were very helpful and did their best to make us feel at home, also giving us suggestions about where to visit. The room was spacious, clean and towels changed daily. The location is ideal for people who want to spend some quiet time. The farm animals contributed to the pleasant atmosphere. Breakfast homely with genuine products...ham, cheese, eggs, bread, jams and fruit and croissants.
Pros: I love that this is a working farm, with vineyards, gardens, and farm animals. It would be a great place to take kids to see and experience a real farm. There's a restaurant on site, and a field for guests to use for games.
Cons: We had a hard time finding it through google maps, as it directed us to a road that does not actually connect to the farm because there's a locked gate. Make sure that before you turn off the main road you see the sign for the place; if not you're probably taking the wrong road. It's helpful if you know some Italian. The bathroom fixtures are rather cheap; in their current state they're functional, but are not made to last. This probably reflects that preparing the several small outbuildings to accommodate guests was probably a significant investment for the owners, so corners had to be cut somewhere. There's clutter around the property consistent with this being a working farm, not a resort.
Pros: Authentic agriturismo experience - great for our family holiday with young kids - though the grounds and setup would also be ideal for other types of vacations. Very scenic location. What impressed further and topped off our experience was the willingness to help of Franco and his hero brother who at 4am was assisting us with our car which got stuck in the snow. Grazie di tutto!
Pros: Its a farm. Lots of nature, animals, was great to see horses ! Staff were friendly!
Cons: Its really out of nowhere and we were really lost! GPS dosen't help as its not indicated in it. Finally had some help from some local police who led the way!!! Read about guests comments about the cuisine and how great it was...??? We had dinner but was really mediocre... Could understand that there were not much of a choice. Taste of the main, which was lamb cutlets, had not much of a taste and it tasted more burnt than bbq !!! B'fast , nothing fresh , bread , jam!!! In the end we just had coffee. Value for money ??? Nothing interesting in the vicinity. Not advised unless, you have to pass there for a night to go to the next town. Staff
Pros: The entrance is scary with lights
Cons: Morning view
Pros: It's a must to visit, Location was amazing, and the owner is a true gentlemen. I recommend to have dinner offer as the owner will personally take care to make you taste a bit of everything and the food is simply delicious. As well you will be greeted by Charlie an adorable dog very friendly with clients.
Pros: Breathtaking views and very helpful owner. Good breakfast and lovely dinner. Close enough to Randazzo and Linguaglossa.
Pros: The property is located in the country with beautiful views of the Northern slope of Etna and the valley. You stay in the separate little cottage which was very warm despite pretty cold weather. It's a part of the agricultural cooperative, they have a restaurant on the site with the local produce of meat, cheese, wine, vegetables and fruit. If you are interested in good food and nature, it's a perfect place to stay. They also arrange different activities like horse ridding, climbing Etna and etc. We had a very pleasant stay.

Featured amenities include limo/town car service, a computer station, and express check-in. For a surcharge, guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle (available 24 hours) and a cruise ship terminal shuttle.
Pros: The hospitality is great. Great location excellent food.
Pros: The property was clean with a large room. Very comfortable beds and the staff are very nice and helpful. A truly family run business with a warm and welcome feel.
Cons: Not much. It is a bit out of the way but in a lovely area.
Pros: Absolutely Amazing ! View, location and food service were excellent! Breath taking Views , must visit !!
Cons: Beds must have been more comfortable.
Pros: The restaurant that is part of the hotel is great,we had dinner there and didn’t regret. The breakfast is nice.
Cons: Wifi didn’t work the best
Pros: Great hotel, helpful hosts, great views, great food and breakfast. Rooms are very close to being luxurious. It's worth staying 2-3 days with the family. Has activities which include horse excursions. Great place anyway.
Cons: Swimming pool is very busy with day visitors and music by the pool is quite loud.
Pros: Restaurant and Motorcycle parking near rooms
Pros: We loved the breakfast and diner, the quality of the food and service are great. The staff is very nice.
Cons: The cleanliness of the bed cover was not great. The decoration of the room was a little sad (we were in the "old rooms" just above the restaurant, not the new ones). Communication between booking and the hotel must be improved because we booked a room for 2 adults, 1 kid and 1 baby and the hotel only prepared for 2 adults and 1 kid. This was quickly solved by adding the baby bed but it could have been an issue since they first suggested the baby sleep with us in the double bed...! The BIG problem we had was that the restaurant had a big party (wedding?) from 8pm to 1am with loud music and singing and our room was located just above the party. We could not sleep and our kids either! The owners should have offered a room in the new area across the pool were we would have been isolated from the noice!! Very bad experience altogether which is a pity because the staff and food was great otherwise....
Pros: Excellent room, very spacious. Good dinner.
Cons: Wifi problems inside the room.
Pros: I liked what I have already ansured for
Pros: Easy place to get to. Nice quit area just off main route. Good place if travelling by motorbike. Safe place to park. Great food lovely pool area. Will go again.
With a stay at Hotel Scrivano in Randazzo, you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Church of Santa Maria and San Giorgio Monastery. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available on request), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Good location near town. Very large bed!
Cons: The hotel appeared run down. The staff were happier talking to each other than to their visitors.
Pros: Parking was easy. Dinner was very good.
Cons: Room was cold (outside temperature was cold!) Got heater going after three hours. (switches in reception). Had to ask for heating the second night as well. It was warm enough once the heating was enabled. Croissants which were available at first breakfast were missing at second breakfast. Otherwise the food was good and reasonable.
Pros: The room was spotlessly clean and quiet, with large and comfortable beds and a nice balcony. There is convenient and easy parking right outside the front door and the hotel is in a convenient location right on the edge of the old town. Very late check-in wasn't a problem. The staff were very friendly, and I expect that if we'd been able to speak better Italian, we might have been able to resolve some of the little problems. After the first day, the breakfasts were ok. We were there the week after Easter, and I think the tourist season hadn't really got going - Randazzo was very quiet and most of the restaurants were shut. I think this hotel is probably nicer in high summer! Hint: if you want your room cleaned, make sure you hand your key in at reception.
Cons: There were a few little things broken in the room - there was a loose electrical socket that fell out when I tried to pull a plug out and the toilet flush didn't work properly (had to lift the cistern lid every time). There was no sign of any wi-fi and the roof-top terrace was closed. Breakfast on the first day was frankly appalling: dry pre-packaged toast, no butter, and smelly bullet-boiled eggs, served in a really dreary room. Things were better for next two days when they moved us into the bar area and gave us fresh bread, cheese and ham.
Pros: I like the staff, very friendly and helpful! Popular restaurants, wine shop are within walking distance. Plenty of parking space in front of the hotel.
Pros: We were the only guests of this hotel and even if it was Sunday evening, we had a nice dinner at their place. There are a few private reserved parking places in front of the hotel, behind the petrol station.
Cons: How can one rate an accommodation where one is welcome by an owner who blames us that we booked our room via Booking.com and that we didn't phone them up directly (none of the staff speaks a word of English) ? How would you rate the friendliness of the staff who explains that the air-conditioning system will not be turned on because we are the only guests and that the night will be fresh anyway (we had 28ºC in our room) ? Opening the window was the only option, even if the hotel was near the noisy center of the town. The breakfast was the most appalling one we had during our 30-day journey in Sicily (bread under cellophane). We still wonder how this hotel has a review score of 8,2.
Pros: The food and service at the restaurant was very good.
Cons: The breakfast was poor.
Pros: Easy to find. A good stepping off place for our trip around Etna. Great local food.
Pros: Staff was very helpful
Pros: Family owned and run. Very nice people. Location was also fantastic!
Cons: Value was good but not great.
Pros: General atmosphere was nice.
Cons: Only the lunch wasn’t great for 20 euros, though we did have two beers.
With a stay at L'Antica Vigna in Randazzo, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Mount Etna Park and San Giorgio Monastery. Featured amenities include luggage storage, coffee/tea in a common area, and refrigerator in a common area. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: staff very good Rita is helpful very friendly
Cons: some facilities inside room would be better
Pros: the location is fantastic immersed in nature, off the beaten track
Cons: breakfast was poor and we had to ask for basic things like butter and some cheese with the break. Need to ask. Wifi is only limited to a central area of the whole property and not in the rooms. Heating was switched upon arrival and there was no tv service neither which was not fixed since we discussed this on arrival. No coffee making facilities are available or any simple kitchen utensils.
Pros: Nice setting, nice pool
Cons: Room number 5 had a sewage problem that they needed to attend to but they still rent it out to people. We had brought it to their attention but they said there was nothing they could do about it..... so don’t rent it out to people maybe? It was unsanitary, uncomfortable and they were unconcerned. After complaining the location went downhill from there. We would not stay again and if you go don’t allow them to put you in that room. We were stuck as there were 13 of us , where could we go on short notice. The management gave us 40 $ off to keep us happy, not enough for ruining our experience .
Pros: Very good food, room very basic
Pros: The place is amaizing....the people very friendly and the chef was the best thing ever...delicious food...very relaxing and the view spetecular.....honestly you can hear Silence...just loved it..
Pros: Nice reception on arrival with a nice glass of wine. Very nice location. Good size swimming pool.
Cons: No airconditioning and no windows we could leave open at night. And the fan was quite old and did not work very well. Not very clean. Cobwebs in al the corners. And dusty. Very small shower with a very bad working showerdoor. The poolarea could use some cleaning...
Pros: Friendly staff, nice big pool. Food very good. Well located for Etna activities.
Cons: No wifi in the rooms. Adaptors dated (old connection type, triple prong).
Pros: Breakfast was great, coffee euperb.
Cons: More heat and lamps.
Pros: Excellent location. Wonderful staff. Extremely beautiful winery with Etna views. Great breakfast, kids got even little night snack from the owner. Different exercises available.
Pros: As we arrived we were greeted by this gentle lady who after a while got to know she was the owner. She greeted us with a local platter and a glass of wine which were local and very good. These where for free. Breakfast was out of this world. Thanks.

Pros: Clean and comfortable place which has everything you need. The restaurant was incredible. Andrea's pizza was the best we had during our trip. And we had a few... The pasta was absolutely fantastic, too. If you want a spot off the beaten path close to Etna West, that's the placeto go.
Pros: breakfast was good the room was very tidy
Cons: the pillow
Pros: The host was very nice and makes excellent pizza at the on-site restaurant. The rooms have views of Mt. Etna. The A/C worked well.
Cons: The Wi-Fi did not work.
Pros: Lovely view
Cons: Restaurant not open on 2 of 3 nights and not even hot water to make cup of tea available on 1 night. We were in 2 rooms and fridge did not work in either room.
Pros: Loved view and atmosphere. Booked Etna view
Cons: Shower small towels not changed daily. Every three days.
Pros: Size pf room , balcony and furnishing style
Cons: Shower and no spare toilet paper. Breakfàst was allcpmmercial and unhealthy mainly. We only had fruit twice.
Pros: Not a whole lot the experience was horrible.
Cons: Well I normally keep my negative comments to myself but this place was very unprofessional. I would never stay here again. First check in was for 3pm. I did not get a room till 4:30pm check in was not completed till 7:30 pm. Plus the owner also charged me 4 euro for 1 litre bottle of water. There was no working wifi should I go on. O
Pros: The views of Mt Etna were absolutely breathtaking!
Cons: WiFi did not work. We arrived while a huge private party was going on and it was very difficult to get anyone’s attention. They gave us a key, showed us to our room, but is was 3 hours before we could ask any questions about dinner etc. They were incredibly kind and generous at dinner and this made up for several stressful hours that afternoon.
Pros: Great view, very good food, helpful staff. Very nice quite location. The pool area with bar and a beautiful view is perfect to relax.

Pros: The host, Gaetano, was so nice to contact me beforehand via whatsapp. Since he was not there to hand out the keys, he arranged a missing hair dryer quickly. The room was clean and functional. Still, the cooperating barman who handed out the keys was quite intrusive and approached me too closely when asking for the WiFi password. I would not recommend women to stay there alone. The breakfast included 1 pastry and 1 drink. Upon request, the waiter was so kind to give me one more. Nevertheless, a weak service for 50€.
Cons: The personnel from the bar The breakfast The price Out of package: there is no restaurant in the village for those without car
Pros: (italian) breakfast at the nearby bar was good
Cons: Internet didnt work at the property but was good at the nearby bar, that belonged to the B&B
