This hotel is in the heart of downtown Providence and it's connected to the Providence Place Mall as well as the Dunkin Donuts Convention Center. Self parking is $18 per day and valet parking is $28 per day. Valet has come and go priveleges whereas self parking does not. WiFi is also pricey if you would like a decent connection. It came in at $15 per day.
We loved the location and consistency in Omni hotels. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very nice restaurants and close to mall with high end stores which I loved. Comfy beds and my 2 kids under 2 loved it as well. Only occasional chair in room needed to be changed or cleaned as stains on cream shows up unfortunately.
Actually booked the room from my iPhone while driving up 95, a half hour before arrival. Great deal through Kayak. Although it was very late, the staff were pleasant and polite. The room was perfect for my high school senior son and myself.
Beds were extremely comfortable Breakfast in room was too expensive
Great location. Easy walking to many attractions.
It's clean and was a large room. We checked in at 11 pm after a long drive excited to get to bed. We were kept up for hours when what sounded like a trash compactor was on all night. It was SO LOUD and we live in a city so we are used to noise. I just can't believe they put us in that room and that they charge people money to stay in a room that is next to some sort of loud machine.
The reception staff was accommodating and, refreshingly, genuine interested in being of service and help to all guests.
stayed two nights at the hotel for my 21st and Valentine's Day. the hotel is right in downtown providence. easy to walk to places. also enjoyed that the hotel was connected to the providence place mall. my boyfriend and I stayed in a premier room so we had beautiful views of downtown. We paid extra to get a corner room which we thought would have been bigger than it was. The room next to us had a young child who spent the night screaming from 4am-noon, so we didn't get much sleep the first night. Wifi was expensive as well as parking. Also from our room you could hear the elevator every time it came up and down past our floor which was annoying at times. we purchased a movie one night to watch and the movie skipped. the front desk did not charge us for it, but you would think for paying $18 for a movie that the quality would have been better
The hot tub didn't work :-(
I liked how close the Hotel was to many fun bars and exciting things to see. I didn't like the staff, the hair that was all over my room and not having any food available 24hr.
The hotel is right next to downtown and connected to the mall and convention center. The Internet was too expensive and parking was a bit pricey as well.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and well appointed. Pool area was fun and we enjoyed the hot tub. I felt a little nickel and dimed: the parking was expensive and there weren't other options in the area. It added a lot of cost to what seemed to be, initially, a great deal.
Loved this hotel. We got a junior suite (for a great price). Had views of Brown/RISD, the Capitol, etc.
Room was huge (stayed in junior suite alone), very clean, staff polite and attentive, especially house car/valet folks. Proximity to everything was perfect. I wish I could stayed more than one night!
Attitudes of staff
The Biltmore Hotel is a reasonable place to consider for a visit to Providence. It is an older hotel with a historic background and there is a certain charm to staying at such a place in comparison to the typical chain. That said, one must make a few accommodations in this regard. Some things may strike one as dated be it the size of the bathroom, or the trim, or the non-self-closing door (which I actually liked). The skim coat in my shower was cracked..so what?. There is no pool. There is a full-service Starbucks adjoining the lobby. I grew up staying at older hotels with my grandmother. I find them charming. The place is clean and the staff are kind. The bed was very comfortable though rather high off the ground compared to most. The furnishings were contemporary and functioned well. I got a two room suite fit for a CEO for under $200 a night. I have no complaints.
Almost everything about the Biltmore is awesome. It's a beautiful hotel. It's got a ton of charm. The rooms are spectacular. The beds are comfortable. The staff is amazing. The location is central and perfect. It's one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in including various Four Seasons etc. I could wax lyrical for hours... but the net-net is that every time I'm in Providence, I'll be staying at the Biltmore. The quality of the room service breakfast was lacking. Poor food quality. No jam for the toast or syrup for the pancakes and the coffee was lame.
Nice stay as usual Housekeeping interrupting us 3 times in the morning claiming they weren't notified by the desk about our late checkout for 1pm therefore interrupting our extra needed rest
Suite with 2 kings and living area good decor and comfort
It has charm and a richness.
Nice place. Great location. Really small rooms. Do NOT get any of the rooms with a room number that ends in 29!!
Location Empty vending machines Dirty Loose fixtures in bathroom
Central Providence. Five to ten minute walk to area colleges, civic center, numerous restaurants, boutique and mall shopping. All rooms recently and tastefully renovated. Starbucks on site. Excellent staff. Immediately surrounded by historic buildings. Peregrine falcons nest on nearby building (the "superman building"). Expensive ($28) valet parking. No overnight parking on any of city's streets.
close to airport No in room refrigerator or dresser, no continental breakfast
Not much. Decor interesting Location not great. Rooms not comfortable, very little space to put clothing, poor lighting. Restaurant food not very good, wait very long.
I loved everything about this hotel. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Location. Only. Enormous Power Outage. Since it was an unforeseeable weather catastrophe, depleting power to the majority of city, the hotel can not be blamed for this. But...what they can be blamed for, having NO emergency lights, a violation of state law, in hallways that actually functioned when power went out. Enormous safety and fire hazard. Not to mention, NO A/C, NO Hot water, NO clean water. Nothing. Brown, dirty water came out of faucet. What's worse is that we were forced to check out, as the 99% of the hotel guests did, and they pretended like they were doing us a favor by allowing us to check out without a penalty, but still charging us for the first check-in date, despite 5+ hours of no electricity, no safety, no A/C, no clean-warm water. We asked if they wanted us to be a future, loyal customer to NYLO, they refused to say, and said they were still charging us for 1st nights stay despite half the day with no power, no reimbursement, no warm water, no clean water, using flashlights to move out our luggage and having to carry luggage down flights of stairs as no elevators had power, despite a physical disability. We would never suggest or even think of staying at another NYLO chain with the lack of any compassion toward customer's satisfaction. Spent the next 8 hours in search of a new hotel. What a terrific stay, NOT. Good luck with future guests.
The entire place was very clean and smelled clean. The staff was friendly. The decor at the hotel was very interesting and different from any other hotel. The beds were very comfortable. The back of the hotel was pretty facilities get the river and at night the lights added a nice affect. The hotel was centrally located in RI and made it easy to get places. I was disappointed with the restaurant. There was not a lot of diversity on the menu and the prices were expensive. Also there was a wedding there on evening and it closed off the restaurant/ bar inside and outside to the guests staying at the hotel.
Everything was good - nice rooms - nice bar - lovely view - nice staff
The bathroom wall is translucent and doesn't go completely up to the ceiling. If one goes to the batroom at night the light shining through and over the wall disturbs the partner. Also, the wall having a space at the top allows bathroom sounds and aromas to enter the rest of the room. If one prefers privacy, this is not the place.
The loft concept is unique and captivating first impression. The bathroom shower was not clean, dirt and grime were caked into the shower curtain. The walls and corners of the shower were dirty as well. Air in the room felt to congested, concrete floors were nice for the industrial feel but not comfortable to walk on. Apart from cleanliness of bathroom and the delay for drinks to arrive at our table for dinner, the hotel was worth the stay
I loved the rooms.
I enjoyed the style and atmosphere of the hotel. We arrived close to 2am, and were greeted with a warm welcome and assisted with any needs we had, in a timely manner, by Julie who was doing everything herself - and beyond excellent job at that. The bar staff was friendly, made us feel at home. Arriving in the middle of the night, Julie was alone at the front desk, as well as providing us with any needs we had, such as, bringing us more pillows. As a female, I do not think it is safe for a female to be at a facility on her own. Also, the following morning we were never greeted or welcomed by the front desk employees. They were talking with one another instead of acknowledging their staff.
The lobby. Spending the night in Warwick at NYLO. Got dessert at the hotel restaurant..a "sweet and salty" It's French fries covered in caramel with ice cream, fudge and chocolate covered bacon. The bacon was a little undercooked and fatty which wasn't appetizing when covered in chocolate. Not for the unadventurous for sure, the menu was pretty good with some thoughtful touches, the staff very accommodating. The atmosphere a little too dimly lit for my taste, and the drinks a bit overpriced, but worth it for the experience. The decor is modern/industrial but falls a little short in some of the cheaper fixtures that just don't go, i.e. faux coral chandeliers and bar stools that look like leftovers from an American Legion. They could have done better in that regard. I'm thinking I won't waste my money next time my husband and I plan a night away. The sheets and towels are rough, the bed so-so. The pillows are abnormally small (think slightly larger than an airline pillow). Paint was chipping in the shower and the bathroom itself reminded me more of a murder room out of SAW than a luxury hotel. The shower, while large, with a rainfall shower head with great pressure, went from arctic cold to scalding with very little wiggle room in between. Again, the modern fixtures and furniture aren't much better than ikea quality and the aesthetics are nice from a distance but not for what we paid to stay. The lobby was fun with retro books and suspended egg chairs. Also the hotel itself is unusually cold and I am always hot so that's saying a lot. Bummer.
comfortable beds great view of capital overpriced!
I loved the quick check-in process, the hospitality of the staff, and the cleanliness of the room. The beds are the old coil spring type, and my back gave me some trouble the next morning.
The lobby transports you to New York with its style and layout. The rooms are well appointed and have great views of New England vistas. I visit Providence three time a year, How have I never stayed here before? Bathroom was a bit dark, but not a deal breaker.
The bed and the pillows were very comfortable. The staff was very unorganized and were very easy to get confused. The valet parking was a joke.
Clean well appointed room. Nice bathroom. K cup coffee and tea. Great location. Good staff and valley. Some minor street noise on the alley side
The staff were great, not only attentive but cheerful and genuinely friendly, enjoyed chatting with us. Only a few blocks to walks along the river. Nice big room, really soft bed. We stopped here on the way home from Maine to Brooklyn, NY, and probably will again next year. The coffee.
Quiet street in noisy city Great staff Decor Stability ball in gym was deflated, so minor.
It was a beautiful hotel with pleasant, helpful staff. The room was elegant and had everything we needed. It was centrally located. Near both great restaurants and the Providence Performing Arts Center where we caught a show. The front desk staff was a little slow when checking out. Other than that . . .it was all great.
We booked this hotel because we were in town for one night, visiting the Waterfire festival. The location was great, close walking distance to the festival, downtown shopping, and restaurants. The hotel staff/policies were incredibly unhelpful. We were informed when we checked in that if we had called and asked for the military/ government rate we would of paid less than 50% of what we were charged. Of course, there was nothing they could do about it now. What they didn't tell us at check in was that the deluxe king room we had reserved and paid twice what we should of for, was unavailable. They happily checked us in and sent us up to what I can only assume is the worst room in this 4 star hotel. The glass shelf in the bathroom was broken, there was a large stain on the carpet, the door was so crooked on the hinges there were cracks you could easily see through at the top and bottom. But worst of all, it was a QUEEN sized bed, not KING. Shouldn't be the end of the world, but paying double what we were supposed to and then not even getting what we payed for- not really okay. Assuming they gave us the wrong room unintentionally, we gathered our things and went back to check in, where we were told that A: they can't change our room because the hotel is completely booked. B: it was in the fine print of "whatever website" we booked on that the room wasn't guaranteed. C: there was no offer of a rate reduction or other forms of compensation. Well, after reading all the terms and conditions of the website, and finding nothing mentioning the room not being guaranteed, we called the website, who did everything in their power to help, but we ended up cancelling the hotel reservation (through the website, not the hotel) for a full refund. No complaints about the website, they even went so far as to call all the other 4 star hotels in the area trying to get us a transfer. The hotel on the other hand, is a buisness I hope never to meet again.
The location of the hotel was great with lots of bars, restaurants and event locals close by. Hotel was a bit below its normal price point in my opinion. Our suite was very nice but the shower sucked. I'm glad that we got a promotional/discount rate.
Excellent location. Helpful, friendly staff. Great room. We had a wonderful time.
Charming boutique hotel. First-rate front desk staff—friendly and helpful. Ideal location on a quiet side street but close to downtown's shops and restaurants. Easy walk to Brown and RISD campuses
We loved everything. The hotel was beautiful, comfortable and ideally located. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I can't say enough. I will definitely stay here again. Everything was ideal.
very clean, nice and efficient! Thanks!
This is a very attractive hotel. The people are very nice. The rooms are attractive with comfortable beds. There is a bar downstairs with excellent music and no cover. The food at breakfast was excellent. The booking never got through to the front desk, but they honored the price on my confirmation email.
Staff were helpful Bathroom was very small and needed some renovation. Room was dark and could have used better lighting.
Convenience and good service of the hotel staffs. Room cleanliness is good and comfortable. only free wifi at the hotel lobby.
Having made a reservation for two doubles in june for oct, we arrived to find there were none available. We were give a king and rollaway torture bed. We wetre told that rooms were given to walk-ins first come, first serve. Why do you take our phone # and credit card? Parking outrageously expensive with no options.
Very expensive for a very basic hotel.
The great restaurant and security No
The professionalism of the reservation agent at the hotel. They did not have the reservation that I made in their system. So had I not called ahead of time to cancel, there would've been some awkwardness of having booked the room online only to not have it in the hotels system.
The location was perfect for the seminar we were taking the price was very high for what we received.
The check in & concierge were efficient. Although whilst they foced on dining. I believe for me it would have been more advantageous to mention the trolley tour bus which shows you around the city as I was only there for one day & had travelled from Australia. By the time I read a brochure Sunday morning the tours didn't start till 11.00 when I was ready to leave.. Also my daughter Julie has called the hotel as they had debited our credit card almost $500 even though I paid cash Saturday. As at Yesterday this matter still had not been rectified. We had two rooms there, perhapsd as a good will gesture you could comp them a room in the future. Regards Kathleen Roberts Other thana the hotel breakfast lounge we couldn't find anyway else for breakfast.
Comfort of the room & location to the conference facilities in the city On the final night, there was a disturbance (drunk young men) on our floor. Despite being informed at 2.30am - the staff/security did not deal with this issue until 5.30am. By this point, my night's sleep was beyond repair! We were not offered componsation for this - which was very disappoionting, as we paid a lot of money for this room, and only managed a few hours sleep.
Perfect location for show @ DD Center, & walking distance to plenty of sights/restaraunts/bars/shopping. Daily parking rate of $25. Walked everywhere, so didn't use car for two days.
People were generally friendly, but a lack of either flexibility or authority with the front level staff was mildly upsetting. I booked two nights separately online. (I decided to add a night to the stay in advance of going). When I got to the hotel I mentioned this and they said it wouldn't be an issue. Just to check back in the next day. When I went to check back in at 8 AM, it was an issue. They wanted to move me because someone had already checked in online for my room? I had to spend half an hour and speak with 3 people to get it resolved. The woman at the front desk originally told me there was nothing they could do. It would have been nice if she had offered to check with someone rather than me having to ask to speak with a manager.
Everything about the Dean felt like it had been planned out very meticulously. The lighting, amazing linens, and custom soaps and shower gels were all perfect. We kept discovering great "little" gems throught our whole stay!
Hotel was beautiful, rooms very clean and staff very helpful
The hotel delivered as expected. Rooms were up to date. The shower was a bit tricky to use. Cost of parking $26 was a bit high
The staff was friendly. The rooms are smaller which is fine. Lack of coffee maker Small ironing board No closet
Enjoyed the bars downstairs at the hotel. The staff was pretty pretentious.
The coffee shop has excellent expresso, delicious! The elevator is an old fashioned "lift". Young people running the reception have wonderful, polite personalities! WiFi works well. Rooms have wood floors, nice decor, very clean ! I do like the hotel, and sincerely enjoyed my stay. I actually extended it two additional days! You wouldn't bring young children, I say, because of the lift.
On a college tour with my 17 year old daughter and she fell in love with Providence mainly because of the experience we had at and around the Dean. Great service; everyone was friendly and helpful. The rooms and public spaces were eclectic but comfortable. Highly recommend it.
Well kept, old building with traditional flourishes. Upgraded room was quite appealing, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Overall the stay was pleasant. Room service failed us significantly (one day they removed towels and did not replace, and no replacement on toiletries during service) however the front desk staff was very pleasant and resolved all of our issues quickly. There wasn't much in the way of power outlets near the end tables, which was only a minor inconvenience, and there was no microwave in our room, though we had a fridge.
the bathroom's were big pretty much everything else
Everything was great, breakfast wifi, and staff I was next to an outside exit and the door kept opening and closing all night.
Beds were comfortable once we removed sketchy blankets. Smelly. People loitering in hallway. Empty bottle of whiskey under bathroom sink.
Easy to get to. Big clean room. I did not like that the air conditioner was not in the bedroom so the "living room" got very cold, but bedroom did not.
Room was clean, staff was friendly, big parking lot Only complaint was a window kept opening in room due a crack in the frame
Everything was fine until they charged my credit card $250 plus the room cost. When I called, I was told to call back later. When I did I was told that there was smoking in the room so they charged me $250. When I explained that there was not smoking, I was told over and over, there was smoking in the room. When I then asked whom else to talk with. I was given the general managers name and told that he would call me the following day. He did not. When I called back again I was told that there was smoking in the room, so they would not refund my money and the general manager did not call me back because he wouldn't do anything for me. I again requested that he call me and am still waiting. Horrible customer service and there was no smoking!
Breakfast was outstanding! When the vending machine was out of bottled water, we were given a couple of free bottles from the hotel stock.
Rooms were very clean, bed was comfortable and staff was extremely friendly (especially the woman who checked me in at night and the two women working in the breakfast area). Didn't have any complaints. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and I will stay again when I'm in the area.
Parking was convenient, and ideal for transit stay Breakfast could have been a bit better organised
Staff were view friendly and professional. Beds were quite comfy and homey. Room carpet could have been cleaner. Had used tooth pick beside of ac unit.
Rroms were clean, felt newly-decorated. Staff were laid back. Hot tub in pool room was closed, covered with a cheap and maybe unsafe piece of plywood. The pool water was too cold. Staff seemed unwilling to help with a walk-in, late reservation. Continental breakfast ended too early (should run til 10:30 or 11).
Quiet, clean place.
That there was a small fridge and microwave in the room. Also, they has WiFi and a breakfast in the am at no extra charge. Would definately stay again and recommend to others. The breakfast had no fruit or yogurt. Very unhealthy choices-but coffee was good.
The breakfast buffet was great!
It was close in proximity to Providence, Rhode Island, !0 minutes away but much cheaper rate. There was a continental breakfast served every morning with all the choices including "prep yourself waffles", sausage, bacon, eggs, array of cereals, drinks, fruit, etc. There is a 24hour business center with a computer and free internet and free wifi throughout the hotel. IT has a swimming pool and fitness center!! While this may be a budget hotel, it is well worth it. The hotel staff is at your beck and call. They have a refrigerator and microwave in the rooms. Fantastic. Perfect for a family trip with children that happen to be picky eaters. We had to buy our food and warm it in the microwave. I would stay there again. The room we stayed in smelled a little mildewy. I'm sure if i had said something to the staff they would have changed it right away but, we just stuck it out. No biggie. Overall we loved the place to sleep, eat and swim.
Bedding very nice and comfotable decor very very nice breakfast had a lot of items, all very good Had to wait about 10 min. For someone to appear at front desk
It was a little noisy in the morning's but other than that it was good
Great breakfast! Clean, comfortable rooms friendly accommodating staff. We had 3 rooms, 6 adults and 3 children. Requested rooms be near each other and they were right next to each other at the end of the hall. Perfect for visiting. Pool was on the small side, but we had it to ourselves every time we used it! Luck, I'm sure, but it felt like our own private place. Shower right in pool area for rinsing off all the chlorine. We stayed for 4 days over the thanksgiving weekend. Busy time, but very relaxed here. Would definitely stay here again.
Wonderful towels We're late sleepers. The breakfast was taken away before we could get to it.
The staff were great and it was very clean. There was an incident while there and the cops were called, you could hear people screaming through the walls partying until about 4am with neighboring rooms banging on walls to shut them up, and the elevator feels extremely unsafe/slow/and makes a loud noise while you're in it.
I liked the price of the room and the fact that they did have a free breakfast available. Also, I like that the rooms were pretty spacious and the bed was comfortable. That the hallways echo every step and voice. It was hard to focus on anything in my room as I could hear every door slamming, person talking or walking down the hall. It would be great if they had signs posted to hopefully deter this.
Staff was helpful and told us everything we needed. Checkout took about 10 seconds. The building is nothing special but it was everything we needed for a quick stay. Room had a nice TV and a microwave/fridge. The carpets were slightly damp which was a little weird/gross. The floor in the bathroom was a little sticky.
Too little or not choices for breakfast
The staff was helpful * The cost was economical * location from airport was a plus * continental breakfast was available * The elevator is really SLOW. I waited on the elevator, got tired of waiting and walked down to the lobby and still beat others who were waiting on the elevator. * Fitness center has limited equipment * breakfast was available but the quality of food/fruit was poor.
Room was good, service was friendly and for a one night stay it satisfies all my needs.
Nothing. Would not recommend Wasn't clean. Needs to be updated
Comparable room with plenty of space Got a room right next to elevator but that's no ones fault really
v was not working and staff told me whan part comes in it will be fixed
Staff was nice hotel was clean everything worked. Waffle batter was kinda meh
Location was good close to I 95. Bed was comfortable, Nice over sized chair. Step inside, nope no way. The place needs an internal overhaul. The elevator stinks of Hydraulic fluid. There is an obvious leak in the pit. Scary too as you step onto it it drops an inch. They call that leveling. I call it a leaky seal down in the pit. No towels in my room, The light was out in the entry way. The phone did not work. I called the desk to ask for towels and in room phone was dead. I called the desk on my cell and No Answer. The housekeeper found the light was out the next day. No fridge in the room. Desk chair was losy and uncomfortable. The place is bare bones. The TV was an older flat screen and there was no HDMI so I could set up my chrome cast and watch netflix. My room was on the fourth floor the Gym was the next room down. I heard that door banging during my entire stay. Over and over. Hey maintenance ever hear of a door closer? Sheesh! I have go back in Oct. I will pass on LaQuinta Providence
Room and staff were excellent. No pool or hot tub and the fitness center is too small.
View was nice from the room, staff was very nice. Parking is not included. 20 to park per day, and 26 if you have to take your car out at any point that day.
The hotel was a close walk to the mall and the park as well as a nice stroll to other local restaurants. We got a nice view of the city and the halls were quiet for sleeping in. It cost $26 a day to park in their parking lot. And my sister in law got a fold out couch for her to sleep on and the mattress had red-ish makeup all over it and it was very uncomfortable.
Friendly staff and great location. Near a train station that can get you to Boston. Parking garage had many open stalls making it convenient to park. Price to leave car overnight felt high. The vanity was crowded for two guests.
Gooo everithing Ok
Great staff, big rooms, clean A bit expensive to park car ($26 a night)
The hotel was in an excellent location and the room had a picture perfect view! The washer and dryer were both coin operated; however, a change machine was lacking. Replace the washer and dryer!
Convenience to the airport Breakfast wasn't bad. I had a hard-boiled egg and toast, a yogurt and piece of fruit. We didn't have much time or I might have made myself a waffle. Bed was comfortable and rooms were clean. Perfect for needing a place close to the airport. You can hear the noise of the highway. My own fault for not complaining, but there were some extremely noisy guests on our floor, late at night and early in the morning. The front desk mentioned it when we checked out and asked if we had been disturbed.
We were picked up promptly after our late night arrival. Very friendly and cirterous staff. Perfect for our needs.
It was a great place to stay for a quick over night stay while visiting Providence Waterfire. it was clean and surprisingly quiet for being so close to the airport.
Proximity and shuttle service to airport. Shuttle service was limited and did not include service to shopping mall. Desk clerk argued with me about charges - he claimed I did not pay in advance which I did. He telephoned later to confirm that I had paid in advance and that he altered my final bill to reflect the correct charge.
Hotel very convenient to airport. If you arrive later at night, it is easier to call hotel to confirm the next shuttle. Was literally 3 minutes by shuttle to hotel. Good quiet hotel room, nice hotel, good breakfast.
Friendly and helpful folks. Great value. Clean and enjoyable basics.
The front desk agent who picked me up at the airport and with transportation information was enthusiastic and very helpful.
It was a reasonably priced hotel that provided a nice, clean and comfortable room. I have celiac disease and would've preferred to have some yogurt at the continental breakfast. The fresh peaches were a nice touch (although I don't care for peaches). There were eggs - but they weren't appealing looking at all. Hardboiled would've been better.
Loved the bed it was extremely comfortable. Also the staff was very friendly and accommodating The bathroom was alittle small, once you got out the shower their was little room to move
The staff were really friendly, and our room was bigger than expected. The bed was also really comfortable. The heat was not on in the room when we got there, so we were freezing for the first two hours in our room...we kept our coats on while we took a nap. I also had an allergic reaction to something in the room, likely the detergent that the sheets are washed in. But that wasn't really in anyone's control. Overall we had a good stay!
Early breakfast, clean rooms, quiet, competent staff, airport shuttle
It was a good price, near Newport, RI. We didn't hear any noise from the airport.
Spending the evening with my wife For the Crowne Plaza and the price ($300+ for the New Year's Eve platinum package), hors d'oeuvres should have consisted of caviar, salmon and meats rather than cheese, crackers and grapes. Salad was disappointing. Main course buffet was just average. No dessert other than mini pastries with coffee and tea. The band, Steve Smith & the Nakeds were their usual horrible selves, not entertaining and nearly impossible to dance to.
the upgraded large king room excellent breakfast in a beautiful dining room friendliness of all staff encountered cozy public reading room 'staffed' with homemade brownies may not have cared for a 'basement' room which is where we were originally booked, presumably because of the lower Priceline price? If Priceline gets the best price at the hotel, I want to know if it is for the room with least ambience.
Great Staff, facility, bedroom & dining!I'd like to come when the weather isn't so frigid to enjoy abit more in the area. Ouch....cold bathroom floor! (if they renovate, install a warm-tiles heat underlay mat).Possibly getting the 'handouts' they give when checking in, via my eMail before I arrive - so I've got a little insight before arrival? Still, a joy to attend!
Very friendly staff, and a nice laid back atmosphere at this historic inn.

Cleanliness, staff was wonderful (helpful, courteous, friendly) off-street parking, proximity to all attractions I couldn't stay longer
Location very convenient, lots of character (much better than a plastic hotel), delicious hot breakfast, and very friendly staff. Water pressure in the bathroom was pretty poor.

It is in a beautifully restored house with handsomely decorated rooms The hotel is next to a very busy Interstate.
Very comfortable attentive pleasant staff good facilities low key relaxing atmoshere good choice breakfast buffet and coffee on tap. Please write at least 15 words Could not open window
Staff, location and facilities are excellent.
The air conditioning did not work. Room was warm and stuffy even at the coldest setting.
The rooms were very spacious and modern, beds were very comfortable and overall very clean and well kept. Location! In the heart of downtown Providence, hard to get to or from there, all parking(including the parking provided by the hotel) is paid. the hotel is actually more than some adjacent lots. shouldn't have to pay $25 to park at a hotel that already cost $179 for the night, make your own breakfast
Staff terrific, rooms (on 3rd floor) newly renovated and spacious. Large comfy king-size bed, as well as couch, fridge, microwave, etc. Room clean. Mattress, pillows and bedding so comfortable. Were in town to visit family. Convenient location. Excellent price. Good breakfast options. Hot coffee and tea 24 hours. Highly recommend Upon walking in, lobby floor unfinished. Undergoing renovation. Understandably, rugs in elevators littered with construction debris (i.e., small sheetrock pieces and dust). Otherwise, excellent.
Clean comfortable room. Bed was very comfortable. WiFi was a bit spotty. We were at the far end of the hall and the signal was a little weak.
Great friendly staff. Many new renovations. Breakfast had good variety and all was fresh. We didn't know the pool was closed for renovations til we got there (upsetting to 3 11 year old girls) but we were offered shuttle service to a neighboring hotel for use of their pool.
