Pros: The homemade breakfast was fantastic, with different fruit served every day. Liz and Doug couldn’t do more to help Us to enjoy our holiday
Cons: Nothing everything exceeded our expectations
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location for exploring Bristol and Rhode Island. Delicious cookies, scrumptious breakfast, wonderful friendly hosts, lovely house, bright and cheerful room, comfortable bed and pillows.
Cons: I live in a restored antique colonial home (my second) so I look at details; quality workmanship on trim, no chipping of paint, loose caulk, cheap materials. The home is so lovely - we loved the kitchen and eating area! I think any size less than a king sized for beds is unacceptable (though we did and suffered a bit) for a couple so I’d increase bed size. Our bathroom sink was slanted a bit because of breaking caulk holding it to the wall so our soap and bottles slipped constantly. I just saw little details that I would crisp up for my guests in a restored home that is as pretty as this. The bed and pillows were comfortable though - we just have a tough time in any smaller. Would I recommend this inn? Yes! Comfort, General colonial antique ambience where only modern, cheaper materials lessen the glory. The food, cookies, water pressure, hot water, internet, hosts - all excellent!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent, avmccomodating hosts
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hospitality and inviting
Cons: Breakfast could have started before 8:30
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Liz and Doug have a great place and did a great job making us feel at home. I've stayed at numerous B&B's and this rates near the top. The breakfast was a real treat , excellent homemade breakfast. The mattress and sheets were better than I have at home, I was going to ask Liz about purchasing for my own home but I forgot to. I'll definitely go back !!
Cons: We were real satisfied with our stay and there's not much I could complain about.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Our third stay at the Inn. Consistently high quality, very pleasent inn keepers, always accommodating.

Pros: Breakfast was great
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great and we really liked the hosts. They were very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Also the inn has a great location--very centrally located but also very quiet at night.
Cons: The house is old which adds a lot of charm to the experience but I think it's time to do some minor repairs (room door, toilet) and perhaps upgrade the mattresses.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The shower was extremely hot and the water pressure was fantastic! It was very close to everything. We were attending a concert at Bold Point Park- it was only 14 minutes away. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean.
Cons: The only odd thing was that the towels were on a rack in the shower- the longer the shower was on they got a little damp. We asked for more towels and they were quickly delivered to our door! Very easily reconciled. There was no restaurant, but there was a small bar.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The bed was super comfortable. The common areas were set up very well to accommodate work calls. And the breakfast was the best I’ve ever seen in a complimentary offer.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great and size of room and features were perfect as I was with family.
Cons: Location was just a tad too far from my Dunkin Do it’s Center event.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean and so was the bathroom. Breakfast had a lot of choices. The whole facility was well kept. They also had a laundromat which was also very helpful.
Cons: We stayed here as a family, not business purpose. It would have been nice to have a microwave in the room. Having kids requires us to have food in the room. So a microwave would be helpful.
7.5 Good
Cons: Charged for the stay the same day I booked it...wasn’t given the opportunity to pay in cash☹️
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean
Cons: Tub was clogged

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a magnificent place. Beautiful home in a perfect location with incredible views. Breakfast was delicious and on a great patio with ocean front views. The extra amenities like hors d'oeuvres in the evening; drinks and snacks; and bikes were great. You can bike to a 1740 farm museum or to a sea side park. This is an elegant place you go to relax and rejuvenate. We are looking forward to returning.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The view and tranquility of the place
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the facility, grounds, views and amenities. The proprietors, Christina and Gunter, were welcoming and friendly. We were in town for a wedding and our vehicle suddenly needed service. The owner Christina provided a local service number. When that didn't pan out she gave us 3numbers near Hyannis (our next destination). The morning breakfast was on an outdoor patio with beautifully decorated table tops(different each morning). The chef made wonderful selections (again-different each morning) and checked on every table. Because it was originally a home converted to a hotel there are less people, so it's quiet and guests receive more attention. This was truly the most elegant place we've ever stayed at and we would highly recommend it.

6.3 Good

Cons: Windows easily seen thru from st
7.5 Good
Pros: Very quaint historical home; breakfast was excellent as well as the homemade baked goods available at various times throughout day.
Cons: It’s location in relation to I 95...our room literally overlooked it. The maid staff forgot to make our bed and refresh bathroom supplies; had to find them when we returned from the day at 5:30. We were also on the top floor up 4 flights of stairs; not a good design for everyone; don’t think I was made aware of that on the website.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, charming and comfortable
Cons: Wish there was more convenient parking when they have a full house.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I stayed at five places in New England, and this was my favorite. The neighborhood felt safe, the room was beautiful and the hot breakfast delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. I'm a walker, and this was a great location, .5 miles from the train station, close to restaurants and shops. I walked the River Walk into Brown University, down Benefit Street with all the beautiful, old homes. Lovely.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff and atmosphere are wonderful. This B&B is such a gem and the location is super convenient no matter your mode of transportation. I had never been to Rhode Island, and we chose Christopher Dodge House based on reviews. My fiancé actually then proposed to me at the property and it couldn't be a more special place to share those memories. Also, the staff was so helpful throughout our entire stay, including past our checkout time when they kept our bags, free of charge, for a whole day while we explored.
Cons: Truly no complaints. The only thing I could add is that it probably isn't the best choice for someone who can't do stairs, but there are rooms on every floor, so not all require a lot of stairs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were great, location was great, room was great, breakfast was great!! Good first US B&B experience.

Bristol Harbor Inn - Bristol - Building
6
9.0 Excellent (200 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Rhode Island is a gorgeous state to visit in New England. Tourists come here each year from all over the world looking for some relaxation, good seafood, and history. Rhode Island has it all! When tourists are looking for a quaint hotel to stay in, they can choose the Bristol Harbor Inn. This is a coastal resort with 44 rooms, a business center, meeting and event spaces, laundry, and harbor views. The rooms here include custom furnishings, WiFi, luxurious bedding, Sealy mattresses, flat-screen television, in-room safe, and iron. There is no dining on-site, but guests of the hotel can go just a few steps to find some great food. Nearby, they will find DeWolf Tavern, Thames Waterside Grill, and Empire Tea and Coffee. Guests of the Bristol Harbor Inn will love getting out in town to see all of the sights. They will find Blithewold Mansion and Gardens, East Bay Bike Path, Herreshoff Place Mansion, Bristol Art Museum, Colt State Park, Roger Williams University, and Bristol Waterfront Historic District. Booking a room here is pretty easy to do. There are peak seasons here where the rooms do sell out though. Being such a small inn, guests book their rooms very quickly. This is why the staff will encourage the rooms to be booked in advance. Once booked, the friendly staff will be able to address any concerns or questions that the guests of the inn may have. Soon, guests will be relaxing by the harbor and enjoying the time they have here.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: location and renovated rooms
Cons: door needs to be raised...kept getting stuck on the new carpet when opened
6.0 Good
Pros: Very clean and cute hotel.
Cons: I paid for a suite but what I got was 2 hotel rooms that are separated by French doors. A suite has some type of kitchenette and separate seating area. I would have been better off just getting the king room. A suite here is a waste of money.
5.0 Okay

10.0 Excellent
Cons: On site casual dining option was very poor
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Very clean and updated.
Cons: Room (212) next to elevator & ice machine made it difficult to sleep. Could hear other guest coming & going throughout the night and early morning. Walls not well insulated. Heater in room very loud and NO hot water in the am.

Pros: Location near the bike path, restaurants, close drive to beaches. Great to grab breakfast after a morning run/ walk and sit by the water and see the beautiful view of the bay with the boats and the birds.
Cons: Tough changing the channels on the TV. You had to hold the remote up in the air as you layer in the bed.

Overview Reviews
The Hotel Providence offers an ideal location in the heart of downtown's Arts and Entertainment District. From Providence's vibrant theatres and shopping, to its world-class educational institutions and bustling convention center, The Hotel Providence puts all the excitement of the city within short walking distance.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We stayed over after a show at PPAC and you couldn’t beat this place for location. Beautiful, comfortable room and common areas.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It's a very nice hotel in the heart of downtown with great restaurants and nightlife within walking distance.
Cons: I was a bit surprised at the cost of parking. Yikes!
6.8 Good
Pros: Great location
Cons: Not great customer service.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location-walking distance to great restaurants and theater Very nice staff Comfortable beds
Cons: Older rooms; outdated decor
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, ambience, comfortable
Cons: I expected room cleaning daily which did not happen. I had to ask front desk to remind them, and somehow did sloppy work.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: The ridiculous "destination fee." These hidden fees are really sneaky and insulting -- if they want to charge more for the room, they should do it up front. What the hell is a destination fee anyway? Is this like the "resort fee" hotels in NYC charge when there is no actual "resort"??? Good grief -- please give travelers more credit than this! Will not stay here again despite quality of hotel b/c of the silly "destination fee" -- I don't reward bad behavior!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were spacious and clean. Liked the toiletries provided
Cons: WiFi password was provided, but the WiFi was an unsecured network that did not require a password.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location and nice room! Very clean and throughout and friendly front desk staff!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Was good
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This was my second stay at the Hotel Providence. We were there to see Hamilton at the PPAC. The rooms are clean, quiet and in walking distance to many restaurants, theaters and city attractions. We had a king size bed which was very comfortable.
Cons: The only issue we encountered was with my brother and his girlfriend's room. A technician unexpectedly came in their room to swap out the TV, console and refrigerator. When we got back from our show around 10:45 pm, it still hadn't been replaced after we were told it would be. When we complained to the manager, she apologized and deducted the destination fee ($20) and said we could have free breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel. We already had made other plans for breakfast so I asked if she could credit us the parking fee ($30) which she did. I understand they were juggling TV replacements in all the rooms but you can't expect people to be happy when they're given a room that isn't ready. I think a 50% credit would have been fair but I didn't feel like arguing the point.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was not a highlight of our stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff, clean hotel, happy with stay.
Cons: More affordable parking options.

Cons: No pool
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Clean, friendly staff, great location
Cons: No Starbucks or complimentary coffee in the lobby. Sounds silly, but this is a big deal for us in the AM! They charge for the average coffee station in the bar/restaurant area. Definitely a miss for this hotel considering the room rate during Waterfire.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location.
Cons: Noises from refrigerator and air conditioning
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We didn’t have time for breakfast but the room and bed was the best!!! We slept really well and and the bed was a a great sleeper. The shower and bathroom was very clean. We will stay there again when we are in the area.

Cons: Needs more lighting in the bathroom. Very difficult to apply makeup. $32 each day for valet adds to the price of hotel so basically paying $300 a night with taxes all in but paying for a very comfortable bed and clean room is very important to us.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Bed. View!
Cons: I can’t think of anything! It was a little expensive but I didn’t want to stay anywhere else because it’s worth it.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Great location and the room with a view was lovely. We also enjoyed the restaurant in the hotel. Great food and service!

Pros: Pretty much everything. Kathleen is a great host and made us feel very much at home. The most comfortable night's sleep on our holiday
Cons: Nothing to fault
6.3 Good
Pros: Kathleen was a very friendly hostess. The room was very clean. The bed was large and comfortable. The shower was new and impressive.
Cons: The room was much too small, only enough space for two very small round tables to serve as nightstands, inconvenient for glasses, watch, alarm, water. No room at foot of bed, had to sidle between foot of bed and knee wall. Only one small window in room mostly taken up by window airconditioner. Better when bathroom door open, 2 nice unobstructed windows in bath, claustrophobic in bedroom when door .closed. No vanity or other place for makeup etc in front or near sink and only mirror. One small uncomfortable kitchen type chair only chair in room. Add that one of two long walls was a low knee wall and you are courting claustrophobia. There were no choices for breakfast!! Enjoyed b’fast #1- eggs and bacon, but not heavy granola pancakes and large spicy sausage for #2 No fruit, muffins or any extras on the table. We did pass a lovely large living room with comfortable looking furniture and a fire place on our way up to the attic, but it was not pointed out as a place for guests to use or spoken invitingly about by Kathleen so we didn’t attempt to use. Kathleen did kindly forward a forgotten electric razor. Kathleen’s chatty personality was great but didn’t make up for the elements we’ve come to expect from our many prior bed and breakfast experiences.

Pros: The employees were extremely helpful and friendly. Location was good for nearby activities and sightseeing. It just wasn't a pretty area itself as it's right off 95 and next to the airport.
Cons: The breakfast was good, but I wish they had milk choices. No packaged yogurt on day 1. They did have day 2 of our stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was extremely tired when I checked in. I laid on the bed and fell asleep. I didn't move until the wakeup call. The bed was very comfortable. In the morning I was getting dressed and could not sit on it because it was too high! (I used the one of the chairs). The shower took a few moments to figure out, but there was plenty of hot water in the marble lined shower. Breakfast was a non-starter because of dietary restriction. The rid to the airport was comfortable and short!

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Cannot day enough about this wonderful place and my hosts, Peter and Jim. The space is light-filled, high-ceilinged and comfortable. I arrived to find the a/c on, fresh yellow roses (I think a nod to my Texas home base), and lusts of everything I would need to make the stay great: from a gym to the best laundromat, groceries and restaurants to shopping, it was all there. Fresh pour-over coffee (yes, instructions included)in unique, hand-thrown pot and cups (fashioned by the proprietors themselves). Friendly conversation and plenty of help with my lost keys. An excellent stay altogether.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host was very warm and welcoming. There to help when we needed. The place itself is very cool and clean. Unique and more comfortable than your standard hotel. Less than a minute walk to fete music hall and some good places to eat. Would stay here again and recommend it. The bed was like a cloud.
Cons: No improvement needed.

Pros: We rented 2 rooms at the Lofts for our wedding and absolutely loved it! It is so different from your generic hotel- beautiful minimalist decor, stunning natural light, and close to everything in Providence. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the owners were lovely. They have their art studio in the same building which was also really cool. We already got some of our photos back and they’re absolutely beautiful. I’d definitely recommend the Due House Lofts to anyone.
Cons: The neighborhood is definitely lively on the weekend so it was pretty noisy until about 2:00 am. There is a bar and a music venue nearby so if you’re a very light sleeper you might have trouble. We solved that with a white noise app on my phone though!

Pros: Really nice place where to spend a couple of nights and visiting the sorrounding areas. The room was nicely furnished and everything was really welcoming!
Cons: Noisy outside during the weekend nights, if you are not a hard sleeper possible to wake up.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast room service was a 5 for quality of food. Late night room service rates a 9.
7.0 Good
Pros: Its conveniently located near convention center and downtown providence
Cons: too overpriced not offering value. not the room rate but everything else from a 6 bottle of water to 17 dollars for a cup of soup. Its one thing to be expensive but it doesn't offer value
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was good.
Cons: PARKING was a huge problem. You have to pay for parking.... it’s $20 a night !! Hotel access is level 4 of the garage but it fills up quick. Also every Time you leave the parking garage they charge you $15. One day we had to leave 3 separate times and paid each time. We stayed a total of 4 days and 3 nights and parking total was over $100. Also you have to PAY to use WiFi... we stayed on the east tower. The parking garage brings you to the lobby but you have to take an escalator to the lower level lobby.. and take special elevators to the east to gain access to the east tower rooms.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Convenient to downtown. Luxurious accommodations. Quiet rooms
Cons: Parking should be free to guests. Limited breakfast affordable price options. Coffee shop ran out of bagels and muffins

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything from service to room comfort and style were great. The restaurant centro was very good as well
5.5 Okay
Pros: The location was excellent. They had bathrobes, the pool was nice.
Cons: After staying at an Omni in Montreal, we chose this hotel over the Renaissance because we expected it to be a similar experience. But it wasn't. The room itself was average. The staff seemed untrained in hospitality. For example, my wife was Ill and I went to the front desk for medicine. Firstly, I have not been to a hotel that didn't have travel sized medicine behind the front desk. Secondly, the attendant asked me if if I had ever heard of seven-eleven? Then as I left to walk to the store I noticed a gift shop, on the second level of the hotel which of course had the medicine. I had been upgraded to a king suite from double room. They where supposed to bring to roll away beds. The upgrade was the hotel's suggestion because my room wasn't ready. We had to call three times to get the roll aways and they didn't bring both beds, the pillows at the same time,so they had to made several trips and they became annoyed at us! Whether it be hotels or restaurants, I always align my expectations with the price point. If this stay was at a chain motel, I wouldn't have been surprised. But at what we paid for two nights, which could have been a cruise ticket for one person, this was a disappointing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great. Proximity to PPAC and WaterFire was great. Nice that the mall was connected for a short shopping trip. Location was easy for catching Uber rides.
