Clean and tidy, the hotel itself does commit to being a budget place that does not save on maintenance. Location was quite good, walking distance to majority of the city and with good connections.
The breakfast was horrible, bread and ham/cheese, with cold boiled eggs. Some cereal. If you are trying to avoid carby stuff or are a diabetic, I would definitely avoid the breakfast. It is quite poor for a hotel. The staff had a "system change" while I was visiting, but it didn't excuse the lack of courtesy. Traveled for business and had to wait for an invoice on several different occasions, usually over quarter of an hour - while staff didn't really manage to solve anything. Could've been handled much better without making guests wait.
Breakfast could have been way better. Did not meet it
No bacon, scrambled eggs, toast, cetc
It was in a good location close to a bus stop. Very helpful staff. Comfortable beds. Good choice at breakfast.
Very small twin room only big enough for one person really.
Clean and basic
Planned Power outage for 1 full night with no notice at check in. staff at the front desk were very slow and unsure how to do things. Standard room is very small cannot fit a suitcase let alone 2. But superior room is much bigger and comfortable
Worth the price for location
My friend and I enjoyed the views of the water and the 25 min walk to the harpa along the shore from hotel cabin. It’s amazing for the price. The buffet breakfast was perfect for FREE. The dinner buffet was like $20 USD which is also well worth it !!
Room could be spacious and price could be lowered but in Iceland nothing is cheap!
