The rooms were well equipt (except for plastic coffee cups) and large. The rooms were also kept very clean. The bar area was not really for relaxing in - more for eating and very bright. The sat nav directions are no where near the hotel.it is also a long way from any town so walking anywhere is not an option
The hotel was old fashioned and needs to clean up. The rooms with 2 children even if they are for free are small. Mind your head in the hotel!.The ceelings are low.
Modern hotel with stylish bedrooms. They accepted our dog and did not charge for her. The cafe was open when we arrived at 10pm which was good. However the food was terrible. We asked the reception staff for help in locating another Novatel further along our route to Calais the following day and they could not offer any help. We eventually stayed in a Holiday Inn Express which was much better. The mattress was quite firm and sheets were harsh and irritated the skin.
Ease of use Insufficient towels for 3 people
Not much I'm afraid I stayed there expressly because an airport shuttle was indicated yet no shuttle or shuttle stop was evident when I arrived at the airport. Also, the TV didn't work properly, clealy something that was not a new problem yet hadn't been addressed by the staff.
That it was close to the city and beaches (and rugby ground)
The sofa bed smells bad.
nothing The absence of elevator and the very small surface of the room
Helpfulness of staff. General air of efficiency
It was a comfortable stay. I only needed one night and at the last minute. The staff was kind and most accommodating. I was happy to find them. I felt for the price, it was very basic - not one single extra. It was truly budget. But, it was clean and respectable. They had a very good breakfast. Thanks for solving my last-minute emergency! The only thing I didn't like was the very austere and bare-bones nature of the room. I wouldn't want to stay there long term.
The trees and plants. The swimming pool and terrace. Food. Staff. Noisy room next near laundry room, also noise from industrial estate where hotel situated.
Excellent value but first impressions very off-putting. Helpful staff gave useful directions to village restaurants.Rooms adequate and clean but need further attention to make them more attractive.Swimming pool well kept. discussions with the owner revealed that this was a very run-down hotel and they have been rescuing it fot the past few years. There is still some way to go -especially with the garden areas but they are doing a good job and we wish them well.
Very interesting hotel, one I felt at home in immediately. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good room and breakfast. Freezing cold outdoor pool (could have been a little warmer...!!), but great jacuzzi!!! Nothing!
Close to airport. Check-in. Greeted by a cleaner with very little idea of what to do. The hotel appeared deserted. Tried to get a drink on arrival but only the cleaner to give us a bottle from the refrigerator. No lift facilities.Despite there being very few residents we were given a room on the first floor at the end of the corridor and offered no assistance with baggage etc.
Very quiet, away from noisy traffic. Perfect with hire car as out of town. No
The quiet area and quiet room accommodation perhaps because of lack of guests. The breakfasts were far below average
Very good value. Nice clean and comfortable beds. Good breakfast Was not able to have evening meal as restaurant was closed.
The effort in providing a really nice place still under remodeling but already above standart in their category. None
The hotel was easy to access from the road system. Near main roads. I thought it was unusual in that it was sited near an Industrial Estate but this did not materially detract. Not to be confused with coastal location.
The food was excellent and the staff very friendly. We did enjoy our short stay and for the price it was very reasonable. The hotel could do with a good lick of paint and updating, the pool was good and clean but the pool chairs and surrounds and garden were scruffy. The room was dusty and no mirrors and only 1 plug socket. It was also very hard to find.
nothing At first we was try find this hotel about 2 h Direction is wrong. Very small room and bathroom It is smaller then on sailing yacht. In water was too much chlor smelling everywhere. Very noisy. This night was terrible.
Idealy placed enroute to Spain. Affordable,Comfortable. To be highly recomended Limited directions but found easily by downloading the TomTom app for Buffallow Grills as one is ideally placed opposite.
Nice basic hotel, clean & beds are comfortable. T.v with English channels. Good budget hotel for someone who will not be spending much time in room and just needs somewhere to sleep. On-site parking with no additional charge.
Beautiful location, exceptionally clean appearance, easy to find, realaxed atmosphere. Both a buffet dinner and an an a la carte menu were displayed outside of the dining room for a 7.30 p.m. start. We waited until the start time only to find out that the a la carte menu was not being offered. We only wanted a small meal and after having a drink at the bar, a drive downtown was not an option. The walk was a long way.
That the security agent was king enough to help us out with the code of the door that didn't work. That it didn't have someone at the reception 24/7.
None Small bedroom , small bathroom , no lift ,
Good location, low price, parking Strong smell of chemicals (disinfection ?) in the room, quite difficult to find when going from highway A9 (exit 42) - remember to print a detailed map !
The owners Sophie and Alain are probably the best hosts I've ever met out of the hundreds of hotels I've stayed at. They went above and beyond to assist us with all our travel issues (unrelated to the hotel itself) and made us feel like home. Room was not very big (the huge bed was probably 75% of the room) but probably pretty standard for France.
Clean, nice staff, good facilities such as a pool. We came in late on two occasions in the early hours of the morning and the security gates were opened promptly for us with our key waiting with staff in reception Difficult to locate, you need to have sign posts. Even harder to find if you have travelled south of Rivesaltes. The cost of breakfast was too expensive and nearly the same price as a 3 course lunch menu in local restaurants - I suggest no more than 5-6 euros for a breakfast
I spend at the hotel two days with my Family, as we stop there on our trip to Spain. The hotel is located directly on A9 and ca. 10 min awai from the beach, this made it very confortable for us. We had two rooms. One was very clean the other one was not so good as a guesse before smoked in there. The hotel service team was very friendly to help with this and to make the room comfortable as the hotel was fully booked.
The hotel is well situated for motorway access, and has friendly staff, a pool, and a restaurant that is fine for travellers needs.
Good reception service really helpful . I left my phone on departure and they hfound it and have promised to send home to me by post. I live in England but have not received it yet just over a week later would be grateful for a confirmation that it's on it's way. Thank you. Peter
Although a typical stopover location the staff were most friendly and helpful. We chose a simple meal for dinner and without doubt the best fresh pasta we have tasted for a considerable time. Light and tasty. The shower/bath was poor. Namely the shower did not work and the bath had a very large chip out of the enamel. Room itself was small so do not bring a large suitcase! Bed though very large.
The new Campanile style is a cut above the old. I have stayed in dozens over the years and this was probably the best of the bunch. Good rooms, good staff, delightful buffet. The price is too high for a motel, it would make me think twice about booking again.
Checked in at 10PM and ate at Ledo. Went to room and young people all over-hanging out and running around. Cleaning staff all over-talking. Room dirty. Went to bed @11PM and pounding on door next to us and couple screaming and fighting and child crying. After 15 minutes of this, we pack up and go to desk. Wait 20 minutes and nobody comes. Go back to room and leave first thing in AM.
I don't know where to begin. Staff was below average. The pool was very dirty, the water was green, cloudy and it smelled. The building is in serious need of repairs. On the upper floors their are stairs in the hall making moving your luggage quit a choir. We could not find a luggage cart. Some of the rooms side on the indoor pool and can be very loud. The windows did not close all the way in the room. House cleaning were cleaning rooms all hour of the night and day. Just don't stay there.
Not the Holiday Inn quality we are used to. Several things broken...elevator, spa heater, ice machine. Pool and spa water very dirty (cloudy and green). Coffee maker was only 1 cup at a time, no fridge (had to use a trash can as a cooler). AC stuck on low. Had to ask the front desk 3 times for pool towels, took over an hour.
The Holiday Inn in Downtown Wilmington should be ashamed of itself. First of all, the hotel was completely misrepresented on the internet. The lobby, the halls, and the room were drab and not clean. The cleaning staff's equipment was present in the halls all throughout the day and night of our stay, but I do not think they were utilized on the rooms. The pool and hot tub were not heated. The staff was unprofessional and not courteous. The only positive thing I can write about this hotel is its proximity to Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens.
Hotel is outdated.Appears to have been a smaller hotel that they added two buildings to,resulting in what used to be an outdoor pool becoming an indoor, and seemingly open to the public based on how many people left the hotel lot after the pool closed.B'fast is only meal restaurant serves,so kids eat free is out the window after 11.No fridges in room, broken ice machines everywhere. Not what they show themselves to be in their info,I will not be back.
Well, when we got there the staff where nice. But the carpets to the rooms where very stained. It smelt like someting was damp and when i opend the room door, it stank. It smelt like mold or somthing had been left wet in there for days. My hubbie had to get a different room. It was much better but i would not stay there again with my family. Sorry to say as the staff where nice but it was just not kept up. I know it in an old town but if your offering a service, make it a good one. Thanks
The elevators needed a lot of work, the elevators only worked half of the time. A couple of people got stuck in the elevator for a half of an hour they had to call the fire department to get the elevator to work and that wasn't the first time that happened. Also the breakfst was ok, the scrambled eggs could bounce they had a big assortment of food. They have temperpedic beds, and nice bathrooms but when you take a shower it would flood the bathroom and sink area. I would probably go there again if they fix all of those mistakes!
This is the nastiest Holiday Inn we have ever stayed in! The red tile floors and many sections of carpet were absolutely filthy! The pool water was cloudy and puddles of dirty water surrounded the pool. The carpet in the room and the elevator looked like they hadn't been vaccumned in weeks. The bathtub had hair in it and there was mold on the shower curtain. I wouldn't stay at this hotel if it was free! We spoke with the manager soon after arrival, but saw no chnge in the 2 days we were there.
We were very disappointed. The hotel needs major updates. The lobby, pool and other areas were very run down.
HOUSEKEEPING: Lack of towels-No dusting/sweeping-Lack of Amedities. Door left ajar a couple of times after maid service. No HBO schedule for July.SERVICES: Elevator works only 5 of 7 days-Lobby's complimentary coffee only get filled once in the morning!-One ice machine of three works 30% of the time. One room got flooded and ran into the indoor pool (where did the water come from?
my widows faced the indoor pool, that was packed with kids from 9am to 11 pm.
Mas Latour Lavail is a GORGEOUS renovated villa. It only has 5 rooms total so you practically have the entire place to yourselves. The owner lives on the property and is exceptionally friendly. The staff is so kind and helpful and went out of their way to help our group of 9 with three small kids. The hotel is out of the main city and you will need a car or taxi to access. It is down narrow roads (sometimes dirt) depending on which way you approach. I was a little nervous driving there at first given the roads, but was pleasantly surprised upon arrival at how beautiful it wad despite the remote location.
The hotel was easy to find, situated right at the motorway junction. The receptionist was helpful, friendly and spoke some English. Check in and out was smooth and easy with facilities in place for late arrivals. The pod style bathroom was too small to be comfortable and breakfast was a bit expensive for the basic facilities.
convenient for the motorway for onward travel tiny room capsule bathroom
The hotel was for what we paid. The restaurant was popular. The owners were friendly. Very small rooms, dated, smoking rooms. The town itself doesn't have much to offer.
Beautiful courtyard dining area. Good red wine. Rather tasteless blue bed surround with hardly any space from the foot of the bed to the wall to walk around. Poor outlook. Small room. Old dingy corridors. Off hand reception and service.
The weather Poor hotel no taxis at airport and no bus at airport
Lovely friendly couple ,very welcoming .Good Accomodation in a Quaint Old Building. ,with easy access to Sea and Attractions.
Very friendly efficient staff.
excellent food and service, nice surroundings, attractive rooms difficult to find, saw little of their claimed park and wildlife.
Excellent Restaurant Very good Ambiance
Every thing was perfect ,the team very friendly and helpfull ,we had a fantastic room ,with a beautiful view ,ademas el restaurant estaba excelent
location and the excellent restaurant refurbishment of the room is a bit outdated
The food was at a very high standard
Food in restaurant was very good. Overall very nice room and hotel in general was quite nice.
staff were helpful. do not like ground floor rooms - i should have mentioned it on the booking. really nice though - private and quiet, will go back. hated the set menu at the weekend - i like a la carte - vegetarian and eat little. did not ike the constant hoover in the pool as i like to swim.
Very little, the room and bathroom were clean. There is a restaurant which is an enormous part of this hotel, it is run for the benefit of local business people but is the only on-site source of food for the hotel. Room service is only available when they say it is. The managerial staff at the restaurant clearly do not enjoy guests from the hotel eating there and expect the worst tables and cold service. The restaurant tables surround the pool on three sides, which is not shown in the pictures and you are not allowed to swim in the pool before 9am or after 7pm. If you swim between 12 and 3pm, expect an audience of local businessmen to watch and comment. The gardens shown also host functions, during lunch and in the evening. Basically, holiday guests are suffered but not really welcome
The quality of the room was good. It was amazingly quiet and calm despite it's location on the edge of Perpignan. The food served up in the evening looked and smelt excellent, but was too expensive for our budget and we had allready had a big meal at lunch time!! However, we would have no hesitation to stay at the hotel again, and you never know we might even eat in the restaurant!!
The surroundings, food, rooms and staff were fantastic. The staff were so accommodating, we were able to arrange a dinner party for 15 pesons with one days notice. Did I mention the staff were fantastic!!! A comment only, is that this hotel isn't central to the town (only about a 5min drive). this didn't affect us but may be of interest to others.
Modern clean efficient; close to city centre and not far from station. Kitchen in room convenient. Hotel's striking design makes it easily identifiable when lost in unfamiliar streets! Limited drop off parking space for visitors arriving by car with luggage.
Modern comfortable rooms with good location next to the Old Town
Clean, functional and private; plenty of kitchen utensils etc. Staff were polite and helpful. Easy access to the town of Perpignan and 15 min walk to the station. The image on the web is incorrect: the hotel is still being built and we had a noisy building site outside our window. Although the building we stayed in is very new, the heating and extractor fans did not work. We reported this but nothing was done. The room was a little cold but there was a blanket. There was a dangerous and busy road to cross to get to the hotel with no obvious crossing point. The hotel had no character whatsoever, you could have been anywhere in Europe.
Location, price, room
Well situated. Clean and new. Staff pleasant and helpful when there (not evening, night or early morning). Secure available parking. Room had everything we needed. Room not cleaned at weekend as no staff. Part time reception desk. 'Threat' of 15 Euro charge if kitchen area not clean on departure. Parking difficult on arrival as need key to access car park. Difficult returning key on departure. Breakfast poor value.
I had free internet in my room The smell of sewer coming from the bathroom.
Excellent location within walking distance of the Castillet. There was a slight "drain" smell in my bathroom which in my opinion was due to poor sealing between the toilet and soil stack. This could easily be rectified by resealing.
Excellent central location, rooms look pretty new and very clean. Still appears to have a lot of building work around, but didn't effect our stay.
No-one on reception after 6pm on Sunday and the building is locked, accessed only via a code. We were not able to enter the building as there was nobody on reception and the shutter was down over the reception area and we also did not have the correct code to enter, as the code sent via Active did not work. I spoke to a resident who was leaving the building at the same time , I showed him the code and he said that this was the wrong code. We could not therefore enter the building to pick up the key to the room which we had booked via the internet several months earlier. There are no instructions of what to do if there is no receptionist present. Also, there is nowhere to park. There is a private secure underground car park attached to the building, but you require a fob from reception to access the car park. There is no other close car park near to the the apartments. The apartments are based on a very busy corner road with non stop traffic and no footpath or inlet to stop the car, so my partner had to drive past the apartments a quarter of a mile down the road in order to safely pull in, I then had to walk back to the apartments to try to access the building. As I could not access the building I was left with no other choice but to seek somewhere else to stay for the evening.
Central position, affordable price, clean, kind staff, recommendable to other passengers
On arrival, I was advised by the receptionist that I could adjust my room only booking to demi-pension. This meant that for an extra five euros I enjoyed a delicious three course dinner, wine and breakfast. It needs refurbishment
The bar and restaurant was closed!
central position in Rivesaltes
Good, friendly welcome Looks good on the outside, but very faded on the inside.
Right near the center of the village. Good in services like wi-fi connection, a comfortable bed. A little of English language could help.
Location The passage from the htel to the garage had been used as a lavatory and smelt very badly. The hotel and the room in particular was very dated and needed refurbisment. We booked twin but were given double bed.
