Pros: The hotel was a short walk from the station, and once we'd got our bearings, was close to the center with a lot of restaurants and coffee bars nearby. The staff were very polite and accommodating. We were able to store our bags on arrival whilst we explored the city. Similarly, when we checked out. The 'shop' on the second floor was well stocked and easy to use. We were upgraded to a junior suite which was a lovely surprise and an excellent room. The hotel was quiet.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Place was amazing. When we entered, we were welcomed warmly and check-in was ultra-modern yet still intuitive. Staff were super chill and easy to talk to. They have a vending machine of stuff that people are most likely to forget to pack (bought a toothbrush and paste cos we forgot those) which was really convenient. Our Hub was cute and clean. Shared bathrooms were well-maintained and super clean too (VERY IMPORTANT). Close to all sorts of restaurants so you'll never go hungry. All in all, GREAT value for money: would always stay here when in Rotterdam.

Bed & Breakfast Maria - Rotterdam - Bedroom
6
9.3 Excellent (87 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Maria was extremely accommodating and helpful. Excellent communication via text very helpful too. Planned to also have breakfast but due to taking our son to hospital we’re not able to. Lovely room, with a great view over the garden, even a balcony, not that we had time to enjoy it. Tea & real coffee making facilities brilliant.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Quiet and nice location, perfect stay!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: charming property with outdoor area
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Thank you for allowing us to book in early. Thanks for the laundry liquid.
Cons: Shower curtain. Bath towels too small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The B&B was wonderful! I really loved the cozy appartment, it is quiet, not far away from center, clean and the host is super nice :) <3 it even has a real kitchen, a garden with beautiful flowers and a little bathroom. i felt home immediatly and would totally rent it again :D
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked being a little away from the main centre. We were by bike and the way downtown was a good opportunity to learn to know the charming roads and houses around. As it was described it was VERY very quiet at night and we slept excellent. The most important if you want to relax. Marias' son welcomed us very nicely and we felt perfect from the beginning.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Maria is a very supportive host. She helped us to find this wonderful Thai restaurant a 10 mins walk away and managed the car parking ticket. Very comfy beds, everything was in good order. The shower is a bit confined thou however very clean. Since we stayed at hers in January we gave the heating a good test run - and were not disappointed. TV has many channels.
Cons: Check first on the internet how to park. The system in Rotterdam is absolutely intransparent for foreigners and the fines are painful. Thanks to Maria no police ticket. The internet connection is rather unstable and slow. However that was of no concern to us - good cell service available.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely helpful hostess, nice suite with private bath, kitchen and patio overlooking a little garden space. Close to grocery store, restaurants, and public transportation. Maria is a gem and she speaks French as well as English. We would certainly stay again!
Cons: Bathroom was fine for us but if a person was very overweight the shower might be too tight. If you are average size bath is fine. After all, how much room do you really need in a bathroom?
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The host was very welcoming and friendly! A nice apartment with a small garden. The kitchen had all the applicances I needed, even a washing machine! The room was big and bright, the bed was very comfortable. Location was good, too: nice and quiet area. Definitely will stay here when I'm in Rotterdam another time :)

This hostel is NOT a partying hostel it was quiet and modern and very safe for solo travellers. The kitchen is well equipted and always clean. Overview Reviews
This comfortable apartment is fully self catered and on an amazing ship that lies in the centre of Rotterdam. The ship is divided in 3 apartments and I live in the one in the middle. The apartment in the front I now rent to guests. The entrance leads you into the spacious and comfortable living room with open plan kitchen. There is a large double Sofa bed in the living room. A wide hall that that continues along the entire apartment gives access to a spacious double Bedroom with ensuite Shower room, two separate toilets and another spacious double Bedroom with ensuite Shower room. The ship dates from 1937 and the part where the captain used to live and sail the ship is still in the original state. This is the third apartment, but is currently not rented out yet. The Ship is located in walking distance of the Markthal, Coolsingel, Koopgoot and Erasmusbrug. Enjoy everything that Rotterdam has to offer. This Ship, a Spits, was build in 1937. It was used to carry goods over the Dutch rivers. In 2009 the biggest part of the Ship, the cargo hold, was fully renovated and made into accommodation for guests to stay in. This means that the space is clean and comfortable, and at the same time you still feel that you're on a ship. Rotterdam, being an seaport, is connected to the sea. This means that the ship moves with the tides. The difference is 2 meters, so it's possible you go into town and have to climb the walkway while leaving the ship and when you come back you have to climb the walkway again while entering the ship.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Highly recommend staying here! The boat is docked very close to the city center, yet I didn't find it too loud. Monique was an incredible hostess--quick to greet me, made sure I had everything I needed, and told me about the main points of interests in Rotterdam. Dishes, two burners, and a small fridge were available. Nothing beats cooking breakfast on a houseboat with the windows open on a 20 deg C day :)
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Spacious "apartment", perfect location. Very helpful owner.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked everything about the apartment....well the bed was quite short but it was authentic one so its understandable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An enthusiastic and friendly landlady - and a very well furnished old boat with a very special, even rare romantic atmosphere. It brings you the former life of the Rotterdam harbor much nearer.
Cons: Nothing. All perfect. I will never forget this stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Proprietor was great and extremely friendly and accommodating. Location was STELLAR and honestly it was amazing to stay in a house boat rather than in a traditional hotel.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super hoster, Nice boat. We really enjoyed this experience!!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The owner was very nice and helpful, the boat is in a great location, close to nearby attractions but still fairly quiet after dark. We will definitely return.
Cons: The listing by booking dot com is very poor when looking to book. It doesn't state exactly what the property layout will be like in the description, looking at photos it shows different bedrooms and has no mention that the whole boat is split into 3 sections, owners livibg quarters, then a 2 bedroom apartment in the middle followed by a further houseboat apartment with a quaint offset from living area bed cabin. This is what we had but with a toddler with us wanted a second bedroom so we could put him to bed while we relaxed in the lounge.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very original with space, quiet night and good sleep on the river

Pros: Tradition, Interior, Location
7.0 Good
Pros: Beautiful historical building close to the sea front. Very interesting history and room design.
Cons: There are a lot of renovations going on that left the entrance and passage ways to our rooms very untidy and unattractive. We were not aware of this at the time we reserved the room. I do trust that when the renovations are completed that the hotel will proved the ambiance that it creates on the booking platforms.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place and great location with an outstanding view. The rooms are very spacious, clean and comfy. The beds are definitely above and beyond what you would expected! :) The pillows and bed sheets are absolutely amazing. :)
Cons: I was quite surprised that the hotel doesn't have it's own parking lot and you're supposed to pay for the parking quite an amount of money (imho). When you compare it to the the hotel facilities in general it should offer something more than this.

Pros: Location in city Centre just couple of minutes from Rotterdam central train station, all shopping and restaurants are nearby.spacious rooms.
Cons: Hotel is occupying only the lower 12 floors of its high building.Unfortunately superior rooms are located in the lowest five floors with limited view( not mentioned in booking.com). 2emails were sent to hotel before check in requesting highest floors but no response. House keeping did clean used glasses and did not provide shower gel on there daily cleaning. Ran out of smoked salmon 30 minutes before closing breakfast .

Cons: Paid amount more than agreed In the Bocking site
5.8 Okay
Pros: For this price it is a very basic hotel.
Cons: Parking facilities are confusing, staff was not very helpful. No Valet. Room is very basic for an executive floor. Breakfast timing too strict and before closing most items were not replenished any more. We expected much more from Marriott.
7.5 Good
Pros: Excellent location, at walking distance from central station
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotelroom was clean, staff was friendly and the food was great. We didn't had dinner in the Michelin star restaurant but we did have breakfast there. The breakfast was excellent, we wouldn't expect something else from this 5 star hotel. Also the room service was great.
Cons: We booked the room with the city view. When we arrived we got the room on the 7th floor. We did have some city view, we could see the euromast and the port of Rotterdam, but we expected to get a room on a higher floor for a better view. We didn't find the view worth the extra amount of money we payed.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Hotel room was lovely, chose a room with view and it was a very nice view of the city. Coffee was good in the bar. Staff were great in looking after our luggage for us.

Pros: Stylish and modern room with many design elements. Huge shower is a plus. Very cool neighbourhood and easy access to the center. Gluten free bread at breakfast.
Cons: The room was cold and dark due to the courtyard view. The breakfast could have had more options to choose from but the available dishes are delicious.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, professional staff especially Daniel on reception. Breakfast excellent, high quality food. Great location and late checkout until 12 with late breakfast was awesome.
Cons: Twin beds not king size as expected. Assistant advised pushing them together. Signage quite poor, difficult to find hotel. 20 euro per night charge for parking.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is good and we love the place so much. A bed is comfy and room have plenty of space so we won't feel too small for two people. Check-in staff has a service mind also for check-out but they are not smiling as much as check-in guy.
Cons: There is no hair-dryer in the room so we saw the message that we can ask from reception and we don't like the way we have to step out of the bathroom with wet feet on the rug.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A very nice selection for breakfast, and numerous great restaurants close by for other meals. Situated in a great location within a short walk from the shopping centre. Small, but well equipped gym...and an amazing interior decor.

Pros: Though it's not city center it's a great location on a peninsula across the river. Gives an opportunity to explore that area and cross the beautiful Erasmus Bridge. Clean, atypical, cosmo design hotel. Executive rooms were huge. Can't say enough about having the Food Hallen attached to the hotel. Dutch, English and more languages well spoken. Very welcome feel. Would stay again.
Cons: Pricey parking but seems to be standard at European hotels.

Pros: Rooms size and furniture Staff are very friendly

Overview Reviews
Many of Mainport’s sleek rooms offer facilities usually reserved for hotel spas, such as oversized hot tubs or private Finnish saunas. Regardless of which room guests choose, the informal eighth-floor Spa Heaven will be waiting, complete with its sultry Turkish steam room and rejuvenating hammam complex. Wide glass windows wrap around the waterfront building, allowing guests to see and feel the vibrancy of the inner harbor. Designer Feran Thomassen created the five-star interiors that make subtle nods to far-flung places, without forgetting that Rotterdam is the hotel’s ‘main’ port. In the quayside Down Under restaurant, for example, chefs offer a culinary world tour with a menu that includes everything from Argentinian steaks to Japanese sashimi. Add butler service, 600 square meters of flexible meeting space and a gold sustainability certification from Green Key, and you have a hotel worthy of its location in Europe’s largest port.

Pros: The room was quite big en bed was really good
Cons: Toilet door couldn’t be closed
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extremly comfortable room and lots of space! Perfect location and friendly staff.. Had dinner at the hotel too and it was a pleasant evening! Will return for sure

Pros: The location was great, 1 minute away from the metro station and less than 10 minutes away from restaurants and supermarkets. Also the rooms, housekeeping and room facilities were really great. Exceptional technology for the 5-star level.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: One of the best hotels we've stayed in. Great location, incredible facilities, excellent breakfast.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in front of the a metro station. There is direct metro from Den Hagg Central. So no need to take train if you are coming to Rotterdam from the Heague.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Superb spacious rooms and views, nice location, in front of water port.
Cons: Despite the late check out, we got woken up several times by the cleaning lady...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about the Mainport Design Hotel in Rotterdam is a thoughtful, and comfortable design experience. From it's location overlooking the historic harbor and adjacent to the Erasmus Bridge to position next to the Tram transit stop...is a well connected position in Rotterdam. My room was very comfortable and a high-design style. Service was excellent throughout, not stuffy or pretentious, but well mannered and accessible. Some 5-star hotels trying too hard to be exceptional, making the visitor feel like it's a privilege just being a guest. But I felt that the hotel and staff really are proud of their facility and are eager to share the good vibe with their clients.
Cons: Only getting to stay two nights.
5.0 Okay
Pros: breakfast
Cons: 1. Unprofessional reception staff for my first day check in 2. Untrained bad mannered staff in the pool area at 8th floor 2. Dark, wet and looked dirty, air sealed and suffocated, bad managed small pool area. (to Mainpoint Management: contact me for details if you care about my comment, tks!)

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful very crisp and clean
Cons: Check in takes a long time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect as you can cross the Erasmus bridge by walking and you are in the city center. The tram station is also nearby if you are too lazy to walk :). The hotel looks as in the pictures, big rooms, modern design, comfortable bed, amazing view. The breakfast is very tasty and you can admire the city view, the bridge and the river. Very friendly staff who makes you feel welcomed. Check-in and check-out goes fast. Parking is underneath the hotel. My dog was very welcomed too :). Everything was perfect and we will definitely go back.
Cons: :) we were to pleased to notice something that we might not like
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great place, especially travelling by car with parking right beside and direct access to hotel. Location a little away from center. Breakfast - as in all nhow - fantastic. Nhow are stylish, cleancut, modern hotel; if you like that, this one‘s your place to stay.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The view from the room was amazing! And the rooftop bar is stunning, too. The bed was super comfortable. Shampoo and soap were really high quality. The breakfast was simply top: lots of products, both sweet and savory, cook preparing fried eggs on the spot, a variety of juices...
Cons: The breakfast was great, but too expensive. You can have lunch for the same price (25 € pp)... The payment process is a bit confusing. Some money is blocked on your credit card before arriving, then some other money is paid during your stay plus the city tax (with another separate payment). Moreover, blocking money for "assurance" limits your spending capacity during your stay in Rotterdam...
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Very stylish hotel. Futuristic. TV in the mirror. Nice!! Excellent breakfast. They even make omelets. This is rare in Europe. Super great staff. Friendly, very helpful.
Cons: Parking expensive. Even though the hotel does give a discount.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room with lots of space and a nice view. The staff were very friendly and helpful
Cons: The bathroom drains were not good. The shower flooded the whole bathroom floor, and the sink would not drain either. After a few seconds of running water, the sink would be full and I would have to wait a minute or two before I could run the water again.
6.3 Good
Pros: Good location. Secure parking. Quirky hotel.
Cons: Safety issue - one corridor was closed for refurbishment work, with a small easily missable sign advising not to enter, though the area was not secure. It also formed the nearest fire escape from our room, and the instructions hadn't been changed to ensure safe evacuation. Safety issue - the layout of the breakfast room meant that the narrowest path lay next to the hot drinks machine. Our shower didn't drain away, so eventually the bathroom was flooded. I called reception who sent maintenance, but this took time so we had to go in our dressing gowns to another bedroom on the floor to use the shower. This whole thing delayed us by an hour, and then the safe wouldn't open! Also the TV remote control didn't work.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the location and we got a free upgrade to a beautiful room with a nice view of the Erasmus bridge. The staff at reception was very helpful
Cons: nothing everything was great
7.5 Good
Pros: Very good choice at breakfast with many healthy options.
Cons: Cant think of anything?
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff Clean room
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location and the view.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Amenities, Nespresso machine were good!
Cons: TV was very strange. And function of 'Smart TV'(?) didn't work. They didn't give a full detail of method for 'Smart TV' operation. Even remote control didn't work well.

Featured amenities include a computer station, express check-in, and express check-out. Planning an event in Rotterdam? This hotel has facilities measuring 7449 square feet (692 square meters), including conference space.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The view and location.
Cons: I booked this hotel because I previously stayed at Mainport and realised it shared the same facilities. Although it was much cheaper the rooms weren't as nice and the phone in our room didn't work. We had pay to rent the robes which I expected to be included.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The location was great!!
Cons: It'wasnt well cleaned and you couldn't open the windows because there were so many spiders!
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and efficient hotel, with excellent customer service. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful at all times. Gym/spa is better than at most city hotels, with exercise equipment (though limited to e few pieces), steamroom, sauna, pool, lounge area, and available spa treatments. Nice restaurant with excellent buffet breakfast and full service for lunch/dinner.
Cons: "King" room consisted of two twin beds pulled together, with overly firm mattress and pillows. Rooms are quite small, though tasteful.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were nice but TVs are so small compared to other four star hotels
Cons: TV to small
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff were helpful and friendly. Great views at night across the harbour
Cons: Overpriced room with basic facilities with outdated decor. No proper crockery, paper cups for tea/coffee is unacceptable. No sheer curtains at the window so drapes had to be kept closed because of overlooking hotels. Beds /pillows too soft. Lobby underwhelming, corridors even more so. Very clever photography of room on line but what you see is not what you get. Poor value for money, overrated......deserves no more than 2.5-3 star rating. Other hotels nearby ie. The Marriott and Hilton were more competitively priced.
5.0 Okay
Pros: - Nice room with a view to the canal
Cons: 1)We've traveled a lot across Europe, and find that the staff here weren't particularly friendly. Example was when we asked for a possible extended check-out, we received a blunt no with no apologies or explanation offered. A little courtesy would usually keep your guests from feeling a little less appreciated! 2)We spent about 2 hours one of the days trying to get rid of 3 large spiders that managed to crawl in through the window. This was because the window was full of cobwebs and since we left the window open (it was 38C in Rotterdam that day), they just crawled it.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It was our secund time at this hotel and we will come back for sure. Sauna, pool, great views, very comfortable beds, nice stuff, and much more.
