The fantastic view, both from our room and from the restaurant. The spacious room accomodations and excellent quality of both the Dinner and the Service. The only slight criticism would be the floor tiling in the bath room could stand to be updated/renewed.
surroundings, view, spacious rooms, parking limited service (lobby, terrace)
Wireless broadband internet. Spacious rooms. Ambiance and fabulous view over the city. Too few free power outlets in the room. The quality of the restaurant is good but prices are relatively high.
The location is superb with open views over Paris, the Seine and a short journey to town, especially La Defense business district. Needs an upgrade of facilities. Problems with the door, internet access and plastic sheeting which had to be taken off the bed.
Calm. Decoration. History (birthplace of Louis XIV). Restaurant closed in August
the view to Paris and the town of St Germain a little outworn
St. Germain en Laye is a stunning town on the outskirts of Paris. Pavillion Henri IV is a stunning historic palais, with marbled entry way, a five star restaurant, and an outside deck overlooking paris. The sense of elegance steeped in history is worth the visit. When you order a cab for the airport, specify a taxi, not a limo. I ended up with a 90 euro drive to the airport!
the lovely views, the helpful and courteous staff, and great food and stylish comfortable rooms.
Lovely room and view Very expensive, €16 for a poor continental breakfast.
I spent one night at the hotel before going in the morning to airport. I had dinner at the hotel Hotel need some renovation
Quite environment, reminds us of our mountains in Lebanon Passages to the room
The place is really beautiful, the flowers, the restaurant, the toilet products. The hotel could be renewed. Sunday morning there was a tennis tournment next to the hotel and we were woken up by the noise.
The restaurant was very good It was expensive for the amenities. trying to be more upmarket than it warranted
the location and its grounds are the only good things i can say about this hotel the restaurant was bad the food over priced and the staff not pleasant
Excellent ambience - good location - friendly, attentive, helpful staff Bed a bit hard
Nice hotel but restaurant closed on mondays. and no tea or coffee making facilities available in the rooms
We arrived quite late to the hotel for a night en route to Normandy from Alsace. The atmosphere of this small countryside maison with a luxury gourmet restaurant is very good, and its staff was friendly especially at dinner where despite being after formal closure hours, still offered us simpler dishes. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable, and also of good size. The hotel's location is good to explore nearby small villages just outside Paris, including lovely St-Germain-en-Laye. It really lived up to its reputation as a member of the Relais&Chateaux Hotel. Would not mention negatives as we did not come across any. However, coming through the Paris road network, this was the hotel most difficult and lengthy to find (but only until you do not reach St.-Germain) even late night. Use of GPS or very good map is recommended unless you are an insider to Paris traffic. We did not have breakfast here so cannot comment on that.
Good location, well appointed rooms, very quiet
I liked everything...
We had a beautiful meal in amazing garden with fantastic wines. The wine list had great range of half bottles at great prices. The price of breakfast
the only thing was fresh air and sorrounding nature (forest etc...) lack of electric cordless kettle in the room, shared showers, lack of pub/bar to get a drink in the evening or to eat some dinner, non-european type of breakfest, only jam, coffee, tea typical French way, no meat, nothing warm like sausages/hot dogs/mashed eggs ...., no wi-fi coverage in my room (3rd floor)
cleanliness, calm, environment not an hotel actually: it's a senior residency for elderly people which proposes a few rooms for visitors from the outside
Rooms very clean, personnell very friendly, restaurant very good Very difficult to find, GPS coordinates on booking.com incorrect. IN fact the castel has been split up in 3 parts: 1 part is a home for the elderly, 1 part is for personal use and the third part is the hotel!! The neighborhood is a bit scary.
This was great value for money don't worry about the shared shower it is facing the rooms very spacious and claen and saves you a bit of cash would highly recommmend. hotel is in a fantastic setting.
Excellent location with stunning views and good location for Paris and of course St Germain en laye. Good forest walks too Lack of service, run more on military lines, possibly just teething problems having been a retirement home. At breakfast we were left on our own with no-one in sight unless they were clearing tables at 9.30am sharpe. Would not recommend dinner at the hotel.
Very nice coutry side and former royal residence. Well kept. If you like a military life, this a hotel for you. Nice rooms with nests of insects, no reception with hall, no lobby bar, restaurant open ONLY for reservation 10 hours before (!!!), the gate closes at 9 PM, you can get in with a code but the car remains outside in the woods. Have nice stay there....
The location - good for The Palace (15 min walk) yet far enough away for peace & quiet. Good car parking Bar was quiet and often un-manned.
We found the staff very helpfull. The asscess from the garage was very difficult, The garage.
Clean and comfortable Novotel, as ever
Modern and comfortable with good facilities 10 minute walk from the Palace of Versailles. Good location if you want to see Versailles, but long ride on the train from Paris.
It was clean, comfortable, close to Chateau and domain of Versailles, quaiet, good parking, very nice staff.
The room was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. The window opened- unusual in modern hotels. The parking system was easy and secure.
The rooms are nice and the whole building is well designed. The employees could deliver more service towards clients.
Style and decor, nice bar, nice breakfast, very clean. One member of staff was a little dismissive, others were fine.
a good position for touring and visiting the chateau provided you are prepared for a 20 minute walk restaurant was good but with a limited menu
Restaurant was good and people were friendly. Garage parking was difficult. Hotel advertised as air conditioned, but it is on a hotel-wide basis and cannot be controlled in the room. Our room was too warm and we were unable to cool it off. Also, the Mapquest directions to the hotel were incorrect. We drove around for at least an hour trying to find it, and it was very conveniently located for visiting Versailles.
A quiet location, near some nice wooded walks.
The loctation of the hotel was convenient for the meeting I had the following day and the breakfast was good. I was very disappointed at the lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room - I feel that a hotel of this standard appealing to the business market should provide this. We arrived very late and had no way of getting any refreshment - nor was any offered - as the restaurant and bar were closed.
The Hotel was conveniently located with easy access to the RER for Paris, car parking was good - room was spacious and the receptionist was very helpful when we checked in. Mosquitos were a bit of a problem at night, hotel was comfortable breakfast I thought was a bit pricy
excellent hotel, good food, Forest location, great staff, not the cheapest but have stayed here before and would stay there again
Very nice hotel The room was extremely hot and it was not possible to turn off the heating, I slep with the window wide open
Recently refurbished so bright and modern. Lots of free parking. Convenient for driving into Paris via the new motor access road nearby. Main menu meals were goog but.... buffet was not as good as most other Campaniles we've stayed in.
The room and breakfast The atmosphere in the restaurant in night time.
Good location, excellent value for money, clean rooms , freindly staff
The hotel was very comfortable and provided my elderly mother and I with all that we needed. Breakfast was very nice, beds comfortable, parking convenient and staff very friendly and helpful. I had asked in advance if our rooms could be next door (to reassure my mother) and this was done, which was much appreciated. No, it was great
location to our customer comfort so so
Friendly staff, clean well equipped rooms. Restaurant was being refurbished so no breakfast available - the bagged alternative of long life cakes was very poor. Would have been very easy to provide at least a decent cup of coffee and a pastry in the lobby.
It was clean and adequate in beautiful surroundings. It was to far away from the rer station and the centre of town. The pillows were to soft. The
It's very convenient for Versailles Too far out of St Germaine en Laye - nearer to Chambourcy really.
Good food, relaxed atmosphere, quiet area, close to golf Rooms small
food good value no
The room was always clean neat and a pleasure to be in. With each room you have a large balcony with french doors. The room could be made as dark as night or filled with natural light. The automatic lights worked well for me. The lights of the room only work while your key is in the slot holder. The bed was a queen size bed with plenty of comfoters and pillows, you have your own control for the temp in the room. The bathroom is the shower and tub combo, the tub is a large tall tub, very nice to soak in. shower head and a detachable hand held also. Also with a large sink blow dryer and heated towel rack which helps heat up the bathroom. Hotel has gated entry located by the river&park in a nice area. The indoor pool, hot tubs were beautiful. I thought the breakfast buffet was a bit pricey, you can stop at a pasterie shop for some fresh products at a much resonable cost.
Spa, room equipment, lounge
The location, near Paris, is great. Within 10 minutes you are in Paris. I stay at this hotel every 2 or 4 weeks when i come from Holland by car. I took this hotel because of the value for money but after 5 months things are not the same as in the beginning. For example, every weekend they shut down the hot water and then tell you that 'you are the only one' - When you call back later (new shift started) the other person tells you that the entire building is using the exact same pipes. After 3 times without hot water in the weekend and the way the personal acts when we ask them about it i doubt that i will be coming back any time soon.
We stayed at this hotel in May and foound the rooms to be comfortable and modern+ the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Additional spa/recreation facilitiesa are a bonus that our children particularly enjoyed Laundry had a peculiar odour
Asbolutely Fabulous!!! Beautiful Location - great amenities and fantastic rooms - could not fault it. Nothing.
Superb location just outside Paris yet very convenient to get there quickly.Breakfasts very good and the surroundings were a really nice park area next to the Seine.
comfortable and spacious facilities . Nice view of the river and. location more fit as business hotel. alot of goog intensions without the final touch. Big shower heads with not enough water pressure. Automatic lights in rooms don't always shut or turn on when you need them to. Request for extra blanket or pillow were turned down.
The staff was very polite and helpful. The food was nice though a bit rich. The Spa and swimming pool facilities were perfect and very relaxing. The rooms are compact with everything one would expect in a French 3 stars hotel. The restaurant menu was a bit restricted in its choices, one would struggle to eat there everyday for more than 2 days without re-ordering the same dish. While a spa, the restaurant clearly focuses on heavy and rich traditional french cuisine wih no "healthy" choices.
via booking.com we had a good deal, so we could enjoy the really clean rooms and spa. its a nice area as well, not to far away from the train. Well the bar prices etc;;all what you can not buy via booking.com is quite expensive
Free Parking, Very Calm Hotel, about 15 mins walking to the train station (RER A), Very nice big room, very nice swimming pool and jacuzi, to be honest i just choose this hotel becuase of its location near to my training course centre there but am amazed of what i've seen. its not in a shopping area so that you have to take the train to any shopping area and its not that far.
Fast, free wireless internet. Delicious breakfast, good restaurant. Fitness center. Less than 5 min from train station. Safe area with many good nearby restaurants.
Bed, TV, Internet Breakfast was extra to pay and not that good....
location - cleanliness
the tranquility. perfect english language of the front desk staff. Proximity to the train station was a big advantage. didnt have to use the taxi room service lack of english language and have to pass info thru the front office desk
You can reach la defense with taking rer trains. Better to look a hotel in downtown.
Breakfast The complaint is rather about the service between booking.com and the hotel: 2 hours later, the hotel still did not know about my booking ! And when I wanted to modify the booking from 2 days to 1 day, booking.com gave the not so funny answer that the hotel had no available room !!!
The staff were polite and attentive. The hotel was in an excellent location that made trips into Paris and the surrounding towns, via RER, very easy. The restaurants in Rueil 2000 were within easy walking distance and offered good service at reasonable prices. No.
reduced price for week end, nice place near RER
the location for the company am visiting , security and room size the staff , the air condition was not working and when we open the window the mosquitoes attacks us , the toilet was small
I real loved the room, it is very large and very well equipped, I also liked the food corner where you can buy some food to eat at your room, it is a bit expensive though, but for a late night bite in is perfect, and you can take it up stairs and heat it in the microwave and you have your hot meal. I just wish they had more English speaking tv channels, at the moment they only have skynews
Large rooms (above Paris std) Too expensive for the quality, strange breakfast formula
good thing is the location. The rooms itself are spacious but the bed and bathroom are IBIS like quality. I do not regard them as Novotel Quality. Still I choose the hotel because it is very close to a client of mine. At its full price of 200 eur the hotel is definetly overpriced in my book. At its rate of 139 (with no cancellation) it is fair.
cleaning the rooms only the rooms is very small specailly for triple room and the price is not good also the hotel location is in no facility area and one of the staff was very nervous and didn;t cooperate in any thing with us
Very nice staff. Clean room Not very close to the center of paris but very easy acces with bus and metro.
Not bad for the price, very helpful No complaints
Inexpensive, free parking, convenient for rer across the park, clean, quiet, I wasn't looking for luxury
There was a sunday mess downstairs and we couldn't sleep at all. Lost christians were singing something strange. Did God ask them to sing? Was Prophet (!!!) Jesus singing? Completely lost religion
the bed was big. Lack of bar, restaurant was like eating in a kitchen with flourecent lights everywhere.. very cold atmosphere so i didn't bother. Wireless (bearing in mind I travel constantly using wifi) was totally frustrating.. gettting a connection and IP address to assign to 2 of my devices was near on impossible. No fault with my kit either.
Quiet suburban location without being too far away from the city centre.Bus stop in front of hotel. Not cheap but reasonable for a similar class hotel.Generally clean and safe. Outside of Paris metro zone 1-2.No direct metro line.
The hotel is in a good location, and although it has somewhat outdated decoration the room was clean and represented great value for money.
Service Rooms a bit dirty. Mildew on bathroom walls
People on reception desk were friendly Noisy, scruffy, and unbelievably expensive for what you get
Location and Cleanliness of the hotel NOthing
Close to a park to do some jogging.
Location: Within 2 minute walk from the hotel, you have 1) A RER station providing easy access to Paris attractions 2) A Supermarket 3) A good Turkish restaurant offering Halal food. The apt had 2 rooms with 2 double beds which was good enough for a family of 2 A and 2 C. For transfer from CDG to the hotel, we hired two nos. 7 seater coaches (our group was of 14 members) for 170 euros. The reception was very helpful in booking disney tkts, tours, providing luggage room etc. Highly recommended. No assistance to shift luggage between the two parts of the hotel
Spacious room, quick breakfast, good sleep. Shortage of coffee/suger/milk for tea making facility.
The area is not very welcoming particularly in the evening
The Staff and room were good. The Restaurant is not up to the usual standard I have enjoyed in Mercure Hotels.
Very close proximity to the Arche de Defense where it was a 10 minute walk to the exhibition I was attending Rather restrictive restaurant and bar hours
The reception and the staff for breakfast were all lovely, and very helpful and patient as i don't speak French, but they were able to help with information and details about the city. I did find an earwig in my room on the first night.
Good location in a nice suburb. Friendly reception staff. Ideal for an overnight stop.
Breakfast well maintained and good quality - value for money. Very helpful staff - good English spoken - prepared to provide dirniks at most times.
The location was perfect for a visit to Maisons Laffitte. The value was right, and the bar/breakfast service was ok.
very quiet and peaceful; excellent car park; convenient for statio no hair dryer: only one beaker in bathroom (double room)
Room was ok, but bathroom was really cold and there was not heater
Parking for large van was good food excellent close to town if you need anything
The location of the hotel is very convenient for visiting Paris without having to pay city centre rates. Maisons Laffitte is a very charming suburb. There was no air conditioning in the room and it seemed very stuffy. The breakfast was not very high quality.
effective staff Very hot in the room -thick quilt for the time of the year-
lack of air conditioning made it very uncomfortable
Great location - only 20 minutes from the centre of Paris with trains every few minutes. Hotel only 10 minutes from the station.
Everything was corect, nothing special, good for passing thru. Garage available, and safe. Also, the hotel feels safe. At 8 o'clock in the morning the alarm went on for 15 min. and nobody explained why?! STrange chemical smell is present.
very good prportion of price / value, size of rooms, new building, cleanliness
It's a new Apartment. Rooms are large and nice. The kitchen is very small. Parking is large and accessible by lift. We arrived on Saturday at 17h. The front door and the reception were closed. At the door was a telephone number (hotline). Only an answering machine - no one called back! After calling mare than 10 times and waiting in the queue, somebody replay. Very difficult communication! We received two codes: one for the entrance door and an other for the safe with the room key. No staff ! ! !
Nothing Poor beds and hardly nothing for breakfast
- There is no 24h reception and the phone support is not working properly. Every time you call the phone support, you need to wait at least 2h for them to call you back. There are no weekly room cleaning. The bed in fact is a sofa, which is not so confortable. The hotel is overpriced!
