Very cute decor comfortable and convenient
Very thin walls quite noisy really expensive breakfast
Location was excellent for our family visit. Lots of nice restaurants near by.
The street noise!
The hotel lobby, garden and room were very clean! All of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly! I felt safe in my room due to the locks on the door. There was no noise in the hallway at night - very quite!
The room and facilities were clean, comfortable and stylish. I enjoyed the intimate feel of the lobby as well as the Zen garden.
There is perhaps a lack of attention to detail. For example, the specialty coffee machine in the complimentary coffee station did not work at all. On our first morning, the coffee urn was empty.
Loved our stay at this hotel.
Japanese influence and hip interior make for a charming and characteristic ambiance at Japantown's Hotel Kabuki, a Joie de Vivre. The stylish boutique hotel underwent a $30 million renovation in 2018 and now attracts a mix of leisure and business travelers with its trendy spaces and loft-feel.
Away from the crowds in the heart of Japantown, Hotel Kabuki is right next to Japan Center, a shopping area with a variety of inexpensive restaurants, a Kinokuniya Bookstore, and shops with Japanese antiques, bonsai trees, and more. The popular Fillmore District is a 10-minute walk from the hotel. The boutique hotel is positioned in a great location for accessing many of San Francisco’s major attractions such as the Golden Gate Bridge and Haight-Ashbury.
Accommodations are small but stylish and make efficient use of the space. Natural light pouring through floor-to-ceiling windows make the rooms appear larger and some feature private balconies for extended views. Rooms are well-equipped with all the modern amenities such as free Wi-Fi, 55-inch flat-screen TVs, coffeemakers, mini-fridges, electronic safes, and Bluetooth-enabled alarm clocks. Sleek, modern bathrooms have wet room-style rainfall showers and include hair dryers and bathrobes.
Hotel Kabuki, a Joie de Vivre offers an impressive set of amenities and features that are common for relaxation. The inviting lobby is design-savvy and features a bar with Japanese-inspired dishes and cocktails. Additionally, there is a Zen garden with koi pond and a fire pit, an impressive 24-hour fitness room, yoga studio offering free classes.
Situated conveniently beside the Japan Center, access to major attractions in San Francisco, and a pet-friendly policy makes this hip hotel an experience, not just a visit.
