Restaurant and food options are really limited for such a nice hotel
Nice hotel, overcharges for everything
Clean, had an indoor pool. Staff was friendly enough.
Everything was overpriced, maybe I’m not a 4.5 star hotel guy. Parking was $70/night incl tax (after 1st night I parked outside), water in room was $8. I needed some antacid at night, 2 tabs of pepto=$2. I guess I was expecting more, or it’s really for people who will use the bar and drink more. Water pressure in shower was too low.
Loved it. Get the club room if you can.
Clean rooms and easy check-in and check-out. Professional and looks modern. Also, they have big bathrooms and nice towels and comfortable beds.
Every time I’m here, hotel is always busy, so rooms usually aren’t available until 3:00. They do have an ambassador program for extra perks, but it’s only good for intercontinental hotels and not the chain of hotels it’s associated with. Water pressure in shower is low, but it’s a roomy shower.
We moved here from staying a night at The Scarlet Huntington which was so noisy with road construction we couldn’t think. Everything was excellent and the staff was friendly and attentive.
We liked everything.
Your average IC, nothing exceptional.
Someone kept requesting housekeeping to my room at odd hours of the night and I was charged parking when I didn't drive or have guests. I requested a late check out yet housekeeping kept checking to see if I had left every 2 hours.
Broken thermostat in room, low shower pressure
We stayed a night since it was near our morning meeting. The layout and lobby is great, and the staff is very welcoming. Unfortunately let down by mediocre room experience (deluxe king) and we could not have a good rest.
The thermostat in our room was broken and it was way too hot. We tried re-setting it several times but it kept blowing hot air even though it was 75F. It was very difficult to sleep and sweated through the night. The shower pressure was very low. Having both shower head choices was nice, but it was difficult to feel clean because the water pressure was very low and so it took much longer to soap off. For a business hotel, you had to pay for internet. We used a hotspot instead. It felt a bit confused whether it was a luxury hotel or a business hotel, and for the price point I would stay somewhere else that has better value for money. Not having a good night sleep really affected my work day
The room stunk! For $600 get some air freshener.
Great Hotel, OK location
Great hotel and staff. They treated us perfectly. I would absolutely stay here again. No complaints as all.
The location for us was a bit too close to some seedy areas of town. No problem, but you need to be careful which way you walk.
Given a corner room even though I booked via Kayak Provided with slippers Room was spacious and TV was large - guess is 55" Gym was well equipped but didn't have time to use it Easter bunny was on duty and there was a tableful of candy for the young and not so young - I didn't have any but still appreciated the effort
Bathroom short on racks to hang towels Shower head water flow too wimpy Bathroom scale low on battery
Great weekend at the intercontinental!
I hosted a bachelorette party at the Intercontinental and it was great!! The staff was very accommodating and helped us with making sure all the girls were taken care of. The rooms were beautiful and spacious, and the hotel was extremely spacious.
There was a "bouncer" type employee at night who gave me and the girls staying at the hotel a hard time. He required every girl to have a key in their hand to get in, even though we just had one person per room have a key because we didn't think it was necessary. He was extremely rude and borderline harassing.
A great trip and stay
Appreciated the staff the location and the lounge/restaurant. The room was great with a nice view each morning
Built in 2008 near the Moscone Convention Center in the business-oriented neighborhood of SoMa, the InterContinental is largely geared toward business travelers but is also an excellent choice for vacationers looking for top-notch service, well-designed rooms, and quality features at very competitive rates. Intercontinental, San Francisco is a ten-minute walk from Union Square, and only one block from Yerba Buena Gardens and Performing Arts Center. Kid-friendly attractions can be found two miles away at Fisherman’s Wharf, and a San Francisco Giants game can be found one mile away at AT&T Park. Several other area attractions are within proximity to the hotel. The relatively spacious guest rooms at the hotel include all the high-end comforts, such as WiFi, cordless phones, iPod docks, and big flat-panel TVs with HD channels. Stunning views of the San Francisco Bay and the city skyline can be seen from higher floors. Up-to-date electronics and a comfortable design make these some of the nicest rooms in San Francisco, especially for the price. The high-quality amenities offered at the hotel are top-notch for the price and neighborhood. Features include a large, 24-hour fitness center, lap pool, hot tub, gift shop, and free breakfast. The draw for many guests is the business center and 43,000 square feet of function space split between 21 meeting rooms. The hotel also features a Michelin-star restaurant with a well-known chef and the city's biggest selection of grappa. InterContinental's luxury-level service, high-tech guest rooms, lap pool, and Michelin-star restaurant make it one of the best values in San Francisco.
