Everything appeared to be fresh and recently remodeled. They are using LED lighting which is good with the exception of the color temperature of the lamp. Lighting color is measured in Degrees Kelvin, Incandescent light is about 2700 Degrees Kelvin, LED lighting is available in several color temperatures For some reason, 5000 - 6000 K is most commonly chosen, possibly because it appears to be brighter than 3000 K. The Journal of the American Medical Association recently published an article on LED lighting where they found that the combination of the glare produced by LED lighting and the grayish color of 6000 K is not good for the human eye. Their recommendation is reduce the glare by using lower wattages or to shield the light so we don't see the direct light. Their second recommendation is to use color temperatures not to exceed 3000 Degrees Kelvin.
Nice updated room. Extra pillows were received, Thank You! The young lady at breakfast gave me muffins even though they were out and it was just about 9am end of grab and go. Providing this is a great convenience for busy travelers. Thank You! Great value! Thank You! Stained sheet, spots of blood stain on top sheet, dirty carpeting between the beds, lots of fuzzies like the vacuum didn't work? or wasn't used, the shower didn't get very hot, it was a limited heat and I would have liked to have had hotter water. I mentioned the stained sheet and unvacuumed carpet to the front desk receptionist, she didn't give me much response. We needed to get to University for our son's music audition so I didn't have time to discuss this further. Workers are smoking just outside the front door is not a good thing, and stinky. Terrible for people who are allergic. While I do understand the addiction, and sympathize, it would be better if they took turns far far away from the front door.
- TV, Internet - coffee - next to a Shell station if you need any quick items - near major highways (10-15 min to Campustown) - friendly staff - i mean, you're getting what you pay for (I'd argue you're actually getting more than you pay for), but it's still a cheap motel, so don't set your hopes too high and you'll be pleasantly surprised.
The price was good. The walls are paper thin so you hear everything in the entire place. Everything in the room is low quality. The staff was nice & friendly, but the place was not great, but then again you get what you pay for, and this place was not expensive at all.
Room was clean and comfortable breakfast was poor...nothing without sugar. Didn't even have any boiled eggs. Forced to eat Raisin Bran which has loads of sugar.
I like the price of the hotel . The staff was very unprofessional and rude . There were drug users staying in the hotel. The first room we was given was not clean and the staff did not want to give us fresh sheets.
