Cons:I had the misfortune to be hospitalized at the time of our check-in. I phoned the hotel and told them my wife, who has a different surname, would be checking in for both of us a little late. They said it would be no problem. Yet when my wife arrived, they told her they had no room available despite our confirmation number. The woman at the desk said their website was having problems and it wasn't their fault that they could not honor our reservation. They said they had a room for her at another hotel some distance away. My wife did not want to be further away from the hospital so she was distressed but got in the car and drove to the second location anyway. When she arrived, she was horrified. Apparently it is a place that attracts exclusively men who were gathered around the lobby smoking and staring at her. They made her feel unsafe. When she drove back to the first hotel to explain that she did not feel comfortable staying in the second, they told her it was "too bad" and that they were going to charge us anyway. This is unconscionable. Avoid this place at all costs! Later, a Scottsdale native told us that what probably happened is that someone offered them more money for our room which had been booked months earlier. We were there during the Spring training season when the rooms are jacked up twice as high as usual. So we had paid a lower price having booked very early. It's entirely possible that a baseball fan walked in and offered them a lot more money for the room. I would not be surprised if this is the case.

Cons:AC worked but only high and the coldest setting. Really was too cold to leave on and got too hot to leave off. Unit didn't even have the protective cover on it, just exposed heating and cooling coils.
