The receptionist the night we arrived was nice and understanding when we wished to shorten our stay. From the moment we walked in it smelled like stale whiskey and weed. This place was the most disgusting place I have ever been to and I was debating sleeping on the lawn outside knowing there would have been less of a chance of rolling into someone's dried jizz. I took my shoes off to get into bed (fully clothed in fear of bugs or crabs from the public hairs in between the sheets) and felt something sharp prick my foot. In horrifying disbelief I pulled a large toe nail off the bottom of my foot. I then looked at the floor and there was several toe nail clippings. Under the bed there were a bunch of crushed chips and old food smashed into the carpet that was covered in dark stains. The whole hotel reeked of stale alcohol that has been spilled a thousands times and never cleaned up. The smell of marijuana was pouring out of our vents. The bth tub had obviously not been cleaned with someone's hair stuck to the walls of the shower. There was also a used bar of soap left on the side of the tub. The heat cents were filled with dust and would be a nightmare for anyone with allergies. There was also someone walking around outside our window for most of the night. We were originally booked for four days and immediately asked to cancel the other three. We were still charged for the full amount for four nights and when we called to ask for a refund the person on the phone was very frustrated and angry saying "he told the maids to do a better job and they just won't listen to him." I'm pretty sure any good manager would hire a staff that would do their jobs. He was snapping at us and making it seem like it was the end of the world to refund our money for the nights we didn't stay. It is most definitely worth paying $20 more for a good night of sleep!
They made my bed. Each day room service came, they forgot something. Washcloths, coffee, forgot to empty the trash. The whole building smelled of stale cigarette smoke. The hallway to the left of the receptionist smelled like trash each day I was walking to my room. I don't think they vacuum either.
Desk staff was very helpful. Hole was punched in a wall, tv didn't work w/o assistance, location of hotel is difficult if one wants to go out to eat and return.
The friends African American woman was very helpful and cordial. No elevator and only one luggage cart. Breakfast.
Lots of broken dirty items. Not kept up well. Coeefilterstl had coffee, clock not fixed.
Bathrooms in rooms where disgusting,.. bathroom vent in my room was being held up with about 20 strips of scotch tape. kept falling out of wall with vibration (when turned on) exposing a big hole to the outside. Comforters in room were from the 70's Showers had been painted and paint was chipping. bathroom sink looked like it was being held up with hot glue and the sagged on one side since it was particle board.
Quick check in Dirty the floors r terrible there were items from last occupant still in room water pressure is bad toilet has hard time flushing room stinks halls stink..
The check in and out process was quick and easy. Very dirty carpets and air conditioning unit. Room was about 10 years overdue for a remodeling.
cost I've only been disturbed 3 times by a hotel room that I've stayed in and this is one. I slept with my clothes on, never took my socks off, and I put t shirts in my pillow. In hindsight, great story to tell people about road experiences.
staff clean NOISE all night in halls kids until 5 am police etc Wedding
Well kept and clean. There were however, plenty of snacks and coffee and tea available Breakfast wasn't free
Great-clean etc. I would stay here again! Only 2 tissues in bathroom!
Very nice place, very nice people...would stay again. No breakfast included
The rooms were clean Paid less at the Holiday Inn Express the week prior and received more - free breakfast, free parking. HIExpress rooms seemed more modern.
Quietness Work in progress
Staff was very nice and professional. Facility was well kept The mattress was uncomfortably soft. Woke up with a backache.
I wish my room had had an outer curtain so I could push the heavy one aside during the day without feeling exposed. Also as a single woman I was a bit concerned about how long it took for the door to close.
The staff are on the whole very courteous and helpful.
The staff was incredibly pleasant and helpful, room was clean and very nice and the breakfast was great! I would most certainly stay again. We were in town for a concert and the venue was within walking distance. Super easy!
The bed was soft, the room was clean. They had a nice business room. The location is good if you want Worcester downtown. The walls aren't very sound proof, all night we heard doors slamming (they slam really hard whether you want them too or not). I could hear every word of the argument in the room next to me. The breakfast wasn't very good, the coffee was okay but what do you want for free.
This is my third stay at this hotel. The hotel has free parking, a decent breakfast (included with stay), and is right next to a Starbucks and 99 (great steak tips). The rooms are clean and and staff have always been polite. The in-room mini fridge is large enough to be useful; although I do wish there were a microwave in the room as well. The Keurig in the room allows someone to come prepared with their own K-cups rather than rely on the Diedrich Coffee "Morning Edition Blend." ( I think they need to step up their maintenance / room inspections. This trip the shower curtain rod was not fully secured to the wall -- screws were loose -- so the shower curtain wouldn't stay closed; it kept sliding down because the center of the rod was hanging lower than the ends. The clock radio also was randomly making noises (buzzing sounds) even when turned off. The noise was rather regular, so housekeeping should have noticed it while cleaning the room. Other than that everything was great.
Breakfast room was large and well stocked. Good restaurant within walking distance. Room was large, clean and comfortable.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Everyone i encountered at the hotel was friendly. Our housekeeper Roxi was very nice.
The toilet rocked around when you sit on it, the shower valve was leaking at a good pace.
My stay was absolutely worth every penny. My room was clean, comfortable, quite warm (since it was in the negatives). I could stay they for more than just a night if needed. I did not like the fact that the receptionist at the front desk when asking for my card for incidentals, she failed to explain the $50 fee that was taken out of my account. I would've have been perfectly content with the fee if I was told about it when checking in. Although my room was perfect, I feel the curtains do not do justice in terms of privacy for I can see outside to the front of the hotel.
The staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. It wasn't pet friendly.
The beds were comfortable There was a screaming crying baby in the to right next door. They also had workers directly outside our window banging away in the roof at 7am working in construction. It was awful! We were up all night due to these and they would not give us a credit for being rudely awoken.
Welcoming, comfortable and convenient
The staff was very nice, informative and helpful. I learned that booking a Marriott through Kayak, they don't give you any of the rewards points you get when you book directly through Marriott. Of course, booking a Marriott through Kayak was less expensive than booking one through the Marriott itself. I think that is ridiculous. Also, the hotel is overpriced for the location, and half the parking lot is under construction making parking a very difficult task.
Unfortunately we had to cancel but at the time of booking I was not told that If I cancelled would be charged the full amount of my room charge. I contacted the Courtyard in Worcester and they informed me that it was third party reservation and there was no refunds. The cancellation was due to an emergency operation on my wife after the operation she couldn't travel. I'm very disappointed with your organization not explaining this policy at time of booking. I plan on showing my displeasure by posting a review and comment on Face Book and Ripoff.com You can contact me with questions at firstname.lastname@example.org
It was the perfect stay before the Boston Marathon. They had everything needed to be prepared for the race... good Italian food close by, a fridge in the room, great breakfast in the morning, and even a shuttle to the start of the race!
Hotel provided shuttle service for marathon runners and was exceptionally organized. Rooms were great. Restaurant service wonderful Can't think of anything they missed
The rooms were nice, comfortable. I ordered room service, food was very good, service was fast, servers were very friendly and helpful. Good location, lots of restaurants around. It was quiet around our rooms save for a little construction noise, very enjoyable. Got cookies upon arrival : ) There were some pounding noises due to construction on the floor below, but not too bad. I was sleeping late, so it woke me up around 10 am on Sunday, which surprised me. Their tv service could be better - no on demand channels and no tv guide channel to know what was coming up next.
The hotel had no one there on a Friday night, so it was very quiet, even on the ground floor. The linens were clean, and the pool and gym were very tidy as well. You also get a complimentary cookie when you check in. I found a used Qtip on my night stand, but the room was clean other than that. When I went to the front desk to ask for a toothbrush and toothpaste (which I forgot to bring) they were very stingy and hesitant to give me the products.
their service of their owners and people - they were very accomodating and helpful
Beautiful and family oriented place. Very Quiet and staff was extremely pleasant. There was a sign that said there was coffee from 6am to 10pm. This was not the case. I missed breakfast but figured I could still get coffee on my way out, but the employee there at the time said that they dont offer coffee all day. Only at breakfast because of financial reasons. So i was pretty bummed out about that.
Quiet, quaint, homey, convenient to center of cute town. Nothing fancy, but clean, comfortable, quiet, with a courteous staff. Free breakfast offered a good selection.
After spending multiple weeks on the road, I felt a great deal of comfort at The Residence Inn Worcester. The staff was amazing from start to finish. The room always smelled fresh. on either Monday or Tuesday, there kitchen attendant who was highly unprofessional .. seemed really unhappy, while throwing food around, and carelessly moving from dining room to back room. White woman, with a ponytail.
Room was large and spacious. Nice fill-the-fridge service option. I did not use this, but have never seen this offered before. Innovative.
Staff and comfort Some days cleaning in room was not good
Excellent condition and attention. Very comfortable rooms Kind of bad the free WiFi and, nowadays, I won't be paying 5 bucks for the few time I'm in hotel and want to chat with my family after my long work day...
Easy on off highway and pleasant atmosphere despite location being away from it all. Good they had everything you might need, food, shop and fitness. no breakfast included. Although I did see a table of muffins but wasn't sure if they were complimentary. No problem just to grab a coffee and croissant from Starbucks and I was on my way. If they had pet facilities I'd stay more often.
very nice room and quite no pool
I liked the layout of the property
It was extremely clean, well stocked and the people were overly friendly and helpful! The signage by the road was covered by the snow so we actually pulled into the hotel before the Residence Inn.
Staff friendly, breakfast was good, hotel was clean, and the room met all of our needs. Would stay there again.
The staff were fantastic, friendly, and helpful. The location was convenient to major access highways, so all travel by vehicle was easy. There were many restaurants, cafe, strip malls, gas stations, and car wash stations within a 5 minute drive. Apparently, they move locations several years ago, but for some reason, most GPS still don't correctly find the exact location for the hotel. It got us close... to the pub right beside it, and we were lucky to see the hotel from there, but still...
Friendly staff The breakfast was kind of sad stale muffins and English muffins corn flakes and Raisin Bran the place has potential Also the police presence made us feel uncomfortable especially when they were talking about a crime scene
Rooms- relatively good shape/new, not drafty/stuffy varied lighting, small/uncluttered. Sound level- low despite not-wild-band at eatery/bar across parking lot. Not deserted, but not overcrowded or rude. Desk always available. No 'after charge' Surprises. Twisted ankle on outdoor stair-carpeting in winter boots (with treads). (Could have been worse). Except exchanged things as asked, housekeeping ?hovered, shirt from previous ?guest behind couch- amenities adequate 4 purposes.
They are trying to improve the exterior appearance. It really looks shabby. The rooms are pleasant, clean but well worn. Exterior is really a mess.
It was okay for the for the price we paid No
Good motel for the price. The rooms were clean.
The location and staff was excellent I was not sure what the bites on my hand and neck was finally the excruciating pain and itchiness. I was bitten by bed bugs which is the lasting impression of discomfort on my drive back. I am still dealing with with this as i go into my new year.
It looks tired and tacky from the outside but is undergoing a major renovation. I liked my newly renovated room very much. The breakfast was also great. Just the outward appearance.
wifi kept dropping, lots of work to do on internet-major problem for me, had to go to restaurant to get wifi. I had booked a non-smokg room, but my room smelled of smoke. I spoke to the staff & they said rooms below me were smoking, must have drifted up
The staff were great. Very friendly, and accommodating. My 22nd night there, I dropped an unopened pack of cigarettes. Much to my surprise a staff member found them and brought them to the front desk, where they called me to ask if they were mine. Bath tub could have been a little cleaner.
location is good room was not too bad non smoking room i was in had no windows, had to prop the door open for a while to get fresh air. upon leaving everything in my bag stinks of smoke.. it smells like i was smoking.. it is very very bad .
location, parking, easy to check in room smelled of overwhelming air freshener to mask cigarette smoke price should have been lower breakfast was poor
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
It had beds when they didn't sell my second room to someone else. Let's see - I never complain but the hotel oversold and sold my staff member's room as he arrived at 1 am that evening. It took over an hour to get him in another room. I will never stay here again.
The Hotel did not have the room ready, I was told the only room available had no working lock. I was then offered a room in the adjoining 'sister' hotel Quality Inn. The room at Extended Stay would have had more amenities.
Convince to DCU If I knew they housed homeless people I would have preferred to stay somewhere else. Most places that have emergency housing the people are also addicted to drugs. I have experienced this 1st hand.
it was a reasonable price and free wifi i liked the three rooms and the polar area with the sofa bed.
