I particularly like the pillows. I don't know where the hotel industry gets them, but I'm on a search for my own bed!
Wonderful breakfast, close to freeway and shopping, friendly staff Bathroom needed updating
Very, very clean rooms and super comfy beds & a delicious warm breakfast! We would definitely recommend this hotel.
Breakfast was beyond what was expected. The pool and outdoor space was very attractive. The layout of the hotel was very nice. Very clean and comfortable. Check-in staff was super. The style of the interior of the rooms was a bit outdated.
Great staff, great hotel Staff, food and room
Lock on my door wouldn't work therefore I was unavle to get into my room 3 times until they were able to solve the issue. Communication and resolution was very poor.
The staff was kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was outstanding! There are no elevators. We were fine but if you have any challenges with stairs request a first floor room.
Breakfast was very nice. Rooms and infrastructure are in desperate need of updating. Horribly ugly patched up bathtub, Counter torn out of room replaced with closet, but in a very depressing way. It was sad to spend so much money on such bare minimum surroundings.
the breakfast was great! the beds werent comfortable and the room was a little outdated
The location was close to many things, food wasn't in shortage near the hotel! And there are many markets *Target, Ralphs were within 5 min drive. It was a quite, very good stay for the price On the second night, we learned that the freezers aren't exactly like the ones in a normal home so DON'T BUY ICE CREAM AND PUT IT IN THERE. Also there was a couple of surprise guests, 2 crickets that came in through a missed hole from the caulking. Its all good though, aside from that this location was EXTREMELY clean and welcoming
The staff was professional and courteous. The price matched our expectations. It felt like a hotel on the decline. It felt like its peak was in 1992, and has since been in need of a large renovation.
I like that the hotel has everything in it. Little gift shop, cafe, room service, etc, the other hotels in the area don't have any of these things. It's really a good size and rather comfortable room for the money. The 2 rooms I was in needed painting on the bathroom doors, the Door security feature in both rooms were worn out. Light bulbs in bathroom needed changing.
Quiet, relatively comfortable rooms. Restaurant and room service very over priced
Tv sound was set so that we could not adjust volume and when air conditoner was running could not hear TV. Was told BT t the desk this c was done by cable company. That made no sense.
The bed was comfortable Because we didn't book through the hotel the meager breakfast that others got for free cost us $10 each. After enough complaining they took that charge off. Other places offer free bottles of water - this place charged 2.50 if you drank one. The room smelled like cigarette smoke even though it said it was a no smoking room.
The beds of the hotel were nice and the bathroom had a very nice tub and shower. Those were the only highlights on this stay. The wifi in our room did not work at all and they said it was because we were in a part of the hotel where the signal was weak. They told me to hook the ethernet cable to my laptop and even that didn't work. It took 3 calls down to the front desk to get someone to finally fix the ethernet cable. The first night we came in, there must have been an event or a load of people at the restaurant in the hotel because we could not find a parking space anywhere remotely close to the entrance of the hotel. By the next morning half those cars were gone so I knew they weren't guests. The walls of the hotel were also sort of thin and I could hear someone next door talking loudly on their phone. Overall it was not a pleasant experience and I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone.
Live music at the Arena, total comfort in my room, nice restaurant, good food, good wine!
Great Value for the room ,located close to shopping Low water pressure, stale smell in rooms
staff, room bath towels needed to be larger and I'm a small person!
The rooms were nice. The bed was comfortable. The coupon to purchase 2 express breakfasts and 2 cocktails for $11 for a couple was okay but the single traveler in our group didn't get any discounts. The express breakfast was $7.95 and not worth it. I would prefer a higher price room that offered a free continental breakfast.
Excellent value. Great amenities: gym, bar & grill, pool, WiFi & wired internet access. Water pressure was very low, making it difficult to shower. I understand conservation but I would prefer to make that a conscious decision rather than be forced by the plumbing.
The location is nice, close to shopping and coffee. Pool and hot tub area is nice and clean. Rooms were not very clean, old, tub stained, shower curtain moldy, fridge was off when arrived and once on it froze our drinks, hard to get in and out of with baby things.
GREAT PRICE, CLOSE TO VENUE.
We were upgraded to a room that had an outside entrance but was secured through the lobby entrance since we were Holiday Inn frequent users. Busy weekend and cleaning staff was behind; the interior rooms were not ready by 4p. Property needs more renovation and surprised that Holiday Inn would take over the buildings.
Location was a benefit. No pay preview movies. I have never stayed in a hotel without pay preview movie abilities. Noisy hall with heavy doors slamming.
clean, modern, friendly staff
Very personable staff. Room was cute and clean
Big room. Walking distance to shopping (Westfield Topanga). Noisy. The room is not well insulated from noise in the hall way and adjacent rooms. The mattress was too soft. The bed frame made noise and had to be fixed. No safe in the room for valuables. Internet costs extra. $17 for parking.
Bedding was terrible, paper thin
Hotel is maintained nicely, staff is supportive and friendly. Rooms are showing their age. No in room safe, no in-room technology plate, wireless access only,
Price was, great for a safe and clean room. Had to pay $17 for parking when there are plenty of parking in near by malls. Room was no frills but clean and comfortable
Friendly and helpful staff, room was very clean and comfortable they have removed the bath tubs, which was a bummer because I was really looking forward to a hot soak at the end of my day. Also, the overhead bathroom light automatically shuts off after a few minutes, so the room went mostly dark during my shower.
very good, clean room wake up call system not reliable
Weekend rates were excellent and it is centrally located within a mile of dozens of restaurants, a movie theatre, malls, etc.. 15 minutes from the beach and 30 minutes from Hollywood. Great location if you are visiting someone in the West San Fernando Valley The lobby was under constructions so it was a little bit hectic with the limited operating space.
A jug of milk, ordered for my three young children was 22 dollars.
Staff was very nice. No Fridge in room. Windows didn't open.
Due to an oversight from booking.com we ended up without a place to stay for the evening, we never tried kayak before and in less than a minute we secured a room, cheaper than the original booking. The hotel was clean room was spacious they had a shuttle in a three mile radius. Close to shops malls etc. Hated the lumpy pillows , gel pillows work so much better. Our heads weigh a lot so down pillows just get smashed down. Shower head was way too high and was low flow,
Why is there no pool at this facility?
no toilet paper on bathroom. no room service .
The location. It was clean. False advertising about "Free Wifi". It was only free for 24 hours for 2 devices and then you had to pay. Uncomfortable beds. Not a great experience with the staff. Called to get an early check in, was told it would be no problem by 2 different people. We still had to wait.
Convenient location ( off the 101, as we were headed to Lompoc) and friendly staff. Overall ok hotel for what we needed. Somewhat run down and the rooms are very small! Only one queen bed in most rooms and we needed up having to get a third room ( we had planned to stay 2 adults and 2 kids in one room, which is not possible) But my request for another room was accommodated and the front desk girl gave me a matches rate for the room for the night, which was appreciated.
The friendly staff from the front desk to the cleaning staff. N/A
The hotel room was very clean. The staff were all helpful and courteous The price was great I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Hope to stay there again Thank you
Location Dirty Floors. Housekeeping was great, but they need to change the carpets. Good value for the money.
the staff on some days was really nice & very accomodating but not on a regular basis I found a roll of toilet paper on the corner of my bed & also a soap rapper there was some concern in my mind if they replaced the sheets/towels or simply fixed them since they had a bit of a smell to them.
1.) The parking lot is a bit cramped. I drive a compact, and it was still difficult backing out without hitting a car on the other side of the aisle. 2.) The carpet cleaners were scheduled to come in during my stay, but I was not told about this at time of booking. And this was despite the fact that the carpets were fine! I should have been informed about the planned cleaning beforehand, because it was a part of what I was buying.
Good value for the money. Nice neighborhood near a supermarket, fast food, gas and several eating establishments. Free parking. Would have been nice to have a microwave in the room, but you can use the one in the hotel lobby if needed.
good location Heater very noisy stopper in tub didn't work well
Overall clean safe and friendly
The location which seemes very safe and quiet. Then top comforter sheet was rough. The carpet is very dirty. Towels where rough. There were 5 gnats in the sink when we arrived.
Rooms, common areas, and facilities were very nice and modern looking. Outside (dirty / run down), the parking (old / run down), and hallways (old / run down).
Pet friendly. Over priced
All was fabulous at the Anza. Love the room. The bed was very comfortable. Henry and Zoe at the front desk were very professional, informed and personable. My only suggestions would be to have a few hooks in the bathroom to hang wet towels and maybe a mirror on the side wall in the bathroom. I wear contacts and it sometimes hard to see across the vanity.
It was very relaxing environment, also accept dogs.
The beds were amazing!!! The bar was expensive and the staff was not attentive and appeared to only want to serve when it was convenient to them. For the money, I spent I would expect either a complementary continental breakfast or free parking. Neither was available.
The Anza was the only hotel in the area that was pet friendly so my choices were limited. Luckily! Very contrmporary design with hardwood floors in the rooms. I read comments about the shower design and how the floor gets wet. It does, but who cares? Threw down an extra towel and called it good. Very nice staff and easy check in. Mini-fridge in the room was also nice to keep wine cood. Very spacious rooms so the three of us sharing the room were plenty comfortable. Only downside I found was no room service. There are single brew coffee pots in the room but I would have loved to have been able to have a pot of fresh coffee each monring in the room. There is a restaurant in the hotel which DOES service breakfast and coffee as well.
We had to kick and scream to get a room that matched our reservation. They told us they had no more king bed rooms available. Then after raising a stink they magically found us a king room. There is also no material (magazines) in the room that describe the city or activities in the area.
restaurants and shopping nearby. Internet never worked and had to go outside for cell phone to work. really frustrating.
Very friendly staff & offered us late check out since we didn't check in until 2am. Very clean, nice location. Doesn't include breakfast
Great ambience, $6mil upgrade really showed hotel's quality & efforts to be hotel of choice in Calabasas. $10 parking fee No breakfast (?) Guests on 2nd floor (I stayed on 1) can be heard walking around above (ruined the hotel experience).
Very pleased with this Comfort Suite. This one changed my mind after having a poor experience with one in San Diego. I will be back checking in now that not Comfort Inns are alike. Very good value, and easy to get to.
Great hot breakfast! Bacon, eggs, waffles, breads fruits cereals. Comfortable and spacious suites. Quiet. Clean room. Minor fixes needed in bathroom. Toilet ran and small spots of mold above shower as well as small area of wallpaper above shower needing gluing.
Most everything. The staff was great! The facilities clean and comfortable. Enough stations on the TV. Only complaint was the fitness facility could have been in a little better shape other wise no real complaints.
The staff was very nice and helpful. Had no problems checking in and out. The room was mostly clean and comfortable. From what I saw, the hotel overall was well kept, clean and comfortable. Overall very happy with my stay. Don't get me wrong, I think the cleaning crew did a great job and I know their job is tough, but I would just like to point out a couple of things that could be better: hair on the bathroom floor and coffee pot was not clean.
The staff was great, breakfast was great!
i loved the cleanliness and attributes, like microwaves and fridgerators in rooms. i love the sitting area in the room as well. it's spacious, clean, updated and a very pleasant place to stay. Breakfast was great too, alot of great choices of foods. i loved just about everything! my only complaint is i wish the hotel had a lounge to have cocktails.
3 mile drive to Magic Mountain thru town streets. Nothing
Easy to get in and out, great location. Balcony in room, could leave open. Breakfast that was offered for free was good. Ac worked great, but had door open for air. Would denfinitly stay there again. Very close to expressway, room facing it, a little loud with balcony door open, but fine closed. Smokers from below, had smoke coming into room with balcony door open.
Very close to everything that we enjoy. No gym. You have to drive to another location.
The rooms are small and it seemed like a very inexperienced person tried to update the room and bathroom. The walls were dirty in some places, and someone may have used the wrong type of paint to touch up the walls, which made it look like there were greasy marks in some places. I didn't feel safe there, for some reason. It's not very inviting. Also, when I was trying to check out in the morning, the lady was on a personal call and I had to wait for a couple minutes it seemed, before she decided to end the call to help me. I also would have appreciated more information from the nice people working the night before when I had checked in, like where the best place to park would have been for my room. Since they never told me anything about the layout, I just figured that I would find 1 main entrance, but that wasn't the case. We ended up parking in the back of the building, hauling our luggage up to the 3rd floor, just to find that our room was in the very front of the building.
I asked for early check-in and they accommodated my request hotel could use an aesthetic update.
Controlled parking Needs updated toilets, fan for bathroom. Receptionist was just ok. Italian restaurant attached to hotel was too expensive and not very good. It would be better if they were separate so I wouldn't have to associate the restaurant with the hotel.
The restaurant staff/food was excellent plus the breakfast voucher was quite generous. Although they did not have a fitness room, they had an exchange/agreement with nearby Gold's Gym that was complimentary - no charge within walking distance. This was a huge personnel plus. And, the pool was very nice, the rooms were private, quiet and very comfortable.
There was a smell in the bathroom including the lobby
Friendly staff, cleanliness, convenience (many stores and restaurants near by as well as access to freeways) , spacious rooms
There were cocaroaches in my room staff unprofessional will never stay there again when advised there were roaches in the room we were staying they said ok didn't offer a new room or anything
Loved the pool, hot tub, and hot breakfast! Bathroom didn't have a fan and the water from the sink took a long time to drain.
We enjoyed the beautiful grounds The room service through the restaurant was poor. Or food took 1.5 hours, was cold, and the burger was undercooked
Price was reasonnable Room was clean Toilet flush was broken Breakfast until 9:30 only Quite noisy in the morning
Clean, quiet, well-appointed room. Fitness center, pool, mini putting green, oversized chess board, garden area, wifi, breakfast, drink tickets at Brendan's, all included for a great price! It's such a great value, especially with little ones. The exterior and room decor is a little dated, maybe a little worn.
It was so delightfully quiet, convenient and comfortable. We would highly recommend staying there for any reason!!
The hotel itself is nice for the price, but management charge me two separate $50 holds, $139 for no reason and $150 for a smoking fee because the fire alarm was missing. I don't even smoke! I booked through HOTELS.com and they still charged me f$139 or the room upon arrival without my knowledge. What's going on here???
The breakfast buffet was awesome! The hostess was very friendly and pleasant. The pool was very nice as was the hot tub; I just wish the weather had been less windy and chilly. No real complaints but my husband had some travelers checks and they would not cash one which was upsetting; especially since we were staying there at the hotel for five days. The grocery store, Ralphs, took care of it for us.
Everything about this room was great and we were able to sleep! Everything in the room worked and was clean! I felt very comfortable letting my two year old walk around the floor. Trash bins were over flowing outside the property!
The room was very clean and I love that it comes with a kitchen. It is right off the freeway exit. There is also a small strip mall in walking distance. The free breakfast could have been nicer. But it's free so I can't complain. The staff seemed a littler overwhelmed.

exit was close to our car no hair dryer, no second trash can, refrigerator was turned off, no ice bucket
Great price for a queen and kitchenet. Wish they had a real breakfast area for quest
It shows that it is well managed. No
I have pains due to bed bugs. The bed area needs to be cleaned and disinfected.
The Hotel ist modern and nice Extended stay was the only chain who refuses to change the booking to Double Queen beds We got a roll in bed for 10$ more If you don't wonna trouble at the desk try to stay away from extended stay
Hotel Employee at the front desk was terrific. Seems it has a reputation for some bad characters to stay here long term. It was noticable in the parking lot and there was heavy marijuana smoke from a room on my floor, the hallways reeked of the odor
The shower was good The wifi was terrible,i had to go to front desk to ask for pots and pans.i slept on one side of the bed,and my wife came to visit i pulled the other side of the beddingcdown and noticed a big stain and that the sheets werent changed before came to stay

Staff was attentive!
I stayed the night before at the Wynn in 'Vegas then had meetings near the Westlake Village Hyatt. Although the room was clean, it was dated and I was given a room that seemed much more like a jail cell with a small window set into the wall that was 2 feet sunk into the wall. Bad Room!
Great location New fitness equipment Room not clean upon arrival (hair on pillows, bath floor and tub) Staff not friendly Thermostat didn't regulate room temp well
Check in/check out was easy. We were greeted by staff on entering and leaving every time. The food and service at the restaurant and bar were good. The room was attractive, well-appointed and comfortable in typical Hyatt fashion. TV was high quality HD flat screen with digital access. Hotel had convenient access to/from the 101 freeway. The room overall was very clean, except under the desk, where little scraps of wire and dust balls indicated it had not been vacuumed in some time. Like a lot of older properties, plugs for iPads and phones were not convenient. Sockets on lamp bases would not accommodate chargers and there were no extra sockets around the desk (hence, my discovery of the detritus). Furnishings in the lobby area were sparse and austere. Clearly, you're not being invited to hang around the lobby and read.
location was great room was not what I made reservations for. I made two reservations for me and a co-worker for 2 king rooms. 1 room was fine, the other room was an ADA room on the first floor with two queen beds that had not been cleaned. The shower still had residue so I asked to be moved to a different room. Second room was part of an adjoining room where the deadbolt did not work and it was still an ADA room and the beds were on the floor.
Nothing Upon our arrival and check in, we were assigned a room on the fifth floor. Having brought a number of items for family members, we needed to unload our vehicle as the Motel is located in a high crime area; full of abandoned buildings which previously housed Night Clubs, Pubs, Movie Theaters, Restaurants, and Strip Malls. I went in search of a luggage cart to speed and easy the task. Not finding any in the area of the elevator, I returned to the lobby and asked the front desk attendant where they stored them. I was informed they could be anywhere in the Hotel. After searching seven floors, I finally found one outside in the parking area. It was the one, and only one for the entire Hotel. Next problem we encountered was when I flushed the stool in the bathroom and water sprayed out from between where the tank sets on the bowl. I notified the front desk of the problem, and following repeated notifications to the front desk of the leak, it was repaired on the fourth day of our stay. During our stay, the fire alarm went off three times resulting in our evacuating the Hotel down five flights. The Hotel was undergoing major repairs due to the roof leaking and major water damage to dry wall in many areas of the Hotel. There Elevators move at the speed of stillness. They are hydraulic and jerk and bump you around as the hydraulic cylinders expand or collapse. The elevator by the lobby broke on the weekend, and all seven floors were reduced to one Elevator serving the entire population. The quality of the Continental Breakfast was very poor and second rate. We went out for breakfast after the first morning. The Hotel’s lack of concern for the well being and safety of their guests is a big issue. All you heard was guests talking about how bad things were with the Hotel and staff.
Free breakfast; reasonable room rates
upgraded to the 'big' room with bathtub (with jets) in the room, it was nice, quieter than I would've expected being right next to the highway, but super easy to get around from, good breakfast. not much, our room was on the end, so easy access to the stairs, everything was great.
Handsome clean rooms with crisp fresh white sheets and a comfortable bed. Four of us stayed four nights comfortably in one room.
comfortable and modern rooms. good complementary breakfast
Overall everything was great, I use to live in the area & for last minute reservations for New Year's Eve night with a 3 month old the acommendations were perfect. We checked in about 5:30pm New Year's Eve, just walked right up to the desk. 2 young ladies were behind the counter & immediately let me know they would be right with me. One was Showing the other how to do something, when another employee walked in behind the desk & was told "oh you can help her" she was very rude when she helped me not even a hello, have a nice night you can tell she didn't want to be there.
Convenient to freeway, gas station, Walgreens, and casual restaurants. Breakfast was good, oatmeal, eggs, sausage, hot coffee, etc. every morning plus the "to-go" brown bag breakfasts are available for those in a hurry. The bed was super comfortable. Not as clean as other Hampton Inns I have stayed at and the front desk usually only had one person who was on the phone most of the time. The hotel faces the freeway, the traffic noise was very loud. There were no lights on in the parking lot the first night; it was really dark and creepy getting to my car! I was there for three days and there was the same little pile of what looked like paper bits and crumbs on the floor by the elevators the entire time. The hall carpets are very stained EVERYWHERE. The tops of the lights by the bed, picture frames, baseboards, top of the headboard, back edge of the desk were all dusty, there was mineral buildup all along the bottom of the shower door and it was obvious that vacuuming between the furniture was not done regularly. The entire hotel gave the impression that they are short staffed so cut corners on service and cleanliness.
Good space and food, clean.
The bed was very comfortable. Check in and check out were efficient and brief. The waffles and oatmeal were good. The breakfast was underwhelming. The hot food was gross and the bagels/breads were stale. The hot tub wasn't hot and there were no towels by the pool. I think I over paid for what we got. I think I'll try across the street next time.
Cleanliness, staff friendliness, overall good breakfast. Next night we stayed at a Hilton in Monterey and the rooms were small, terrible carpet, and too expensive Did not enjoy driving through parking lot to get to hotel. Should have easy access offa main road
Cleanliness of the room Room layout Brightness of the room A/C control was very accurate Kitchenette area Seating area and desk The bed was a little hard Couch was a little hard to sit on
Location and price. Starbucks in the lobby. The hotel overall felt old, tired and way overdue for a complete renovation.
The concierge office was good with instructions. Registration was friendly and helpful. When we first arrived and went to our room, they had not made the bed and the pillows were on the chair in the room. The room cleaning staff was not real up to the standard that Marriott offers other places. We found a wet towel on our side table one day, they never replaced the glasses once they were used. They either left them or just did not replace them even though they were gone or dirty. They did not remove used food on plates from the room - Had to place them in the hall for them to get taken. Left things as if they had not finished their job. It seems that the cleaning staff needs to be taught the proper things to do. DO NOT leave rooms unfinished! The concierge lounge was not what it has been at other stays in other areas. They ran out of food each evening. The selection was not at all what it has been other locations. The staff in this area were not very friendly.
We liked the comfortable beds and updated room. The hotel had everything we needed - although we didn't have the chance to try much out since we were staying there after a late wedding and left early morning. Valet was overpriced. For the price of the room self-park should at least be free. The room location (318) was level with the gravel top roof building below - unsightly and defeated the purpose of having a balcony.
The room was comfortable and adequate. It was pretty inexpensive going through an online source. Having said all the negative comments it is tons better than most hotel rooms I have been in. They did not give free wi fi. I tried to use my computer with a wire in the business room and it did not work. The lobby was so noisy that it was impossible to use the computer there even though in the lobby the wi-fi was "free". The parking was like a block away and you had to pay. They were short on amenities. I felt like they were nickel and diming me. The nice view they gave me was rather short on the nice. ,They did not give free wi fi. I had reserved 5 rooms each with 2 double beds. At checkin I was given 4 rooms each with a King bed & 1 room with 2 double beds. Each room was to accommodate a family of 4. Clearly, 4 people would not fit on 1 King bed. I was offered a rollaway in only 1 of the rooms with a King & told that there were no more rollaways available. Some members of my party could not stay at the hotel & went to stay with local relatives. Shame on Marriott for not honoring the reservations as made!!
