They didn't have my car and tried to up charge me
Pros: Car was what I've come to expect from a rental company.
Cons: They supposedly gave away my car and tried to up charge me to get a different car. Terrible customer service. A man named Crjnac Matars was the individual with whom I interacted. He claimed to be the manager but simply shrugged when I expressed my displeasure.

Good option for car rental in Split
Pros: Rental office was centrally located. I was able to secure an automatic car. Staff were pleasant and helpful and handled my rental quickly and smoothly.
Cons: The car park lot was rather far away (400 m) -- which was frustrating because we had a lot of baggage. Also, I booked rental insurance online (at the same time and on the same site I booked the car) but apparently it wasn't done through the actual rental agency, which I was not made aware of beforehand. So the rental agency but a huge pre-authorization/hold on my credit card.

Pros: We rented a car for 3 days from Sixt and spent 300$. After an emergency we rented a car on the 20tj for over 500$. This was for a 12 hour rentalWe rented a car for 3 days from Sixt and spent 300$.

Car wasn't available
Cons: When I arrived the car wasn't available. The representative told me I should have received an email cancelling the reservation. I didn't. I then rented a Sixt car at the airport 30 minutes away. I then emailed Sixt asking for a $30 refund for the taxi fare from the first Sixt location to the second. They replied that the rep told them that the car was on it's way and that it was I that cancelled the reservation. This is clearly not true since I rented another Sixt car half an hour later at another location. Why would I have done that if the car at the first location was on its way. So, 1. the car wasn't available and 2 the rep lied.
