The hotel was very nice and clean as were the staff. The complimentary breakfast was great and it was just a short walk from the square. Definitely worth it and very affordable.
The rooms were clean and charming. The staff was very warm and welcoming. The breakfast and Hors d'oeurve were more than generous and delicious! My husband and I will be coming back here.
The design of the rooms and decor; the quietness and relaxed atmosphere; the pleasant and helpful, informative staff
The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The cookie jar was a nice touch! Parking was easy. The bed was not comfortable, and we had to ask for softer pillows.
The location is excellent and the rooms are well appointed and cozy. However, there was a pre-school (I think) located on the other side of the fence outside my balcony which just killed the vacation vibe. Besides that, I would highly recommend the place. There was a pre-school (I think) located on the other side of the fence outside my balcony and I awoke to kids screaming and yelling. I love kids but that just killed the vacation vibe.
Nice big comfortable rooms, comfortable bed. Good location, nice outdoor space to sit and relax. Tasty cheese and wine
Attention to detail was excellent, and the staff above average
The owner was friendly, helpful and her home baked goods for breakfast were delicious There was not a shower only a hose from the bath tap
We were enthralled with Lucille, the Inn Keeper, who was welcoming and friendly. We booked the Hollyhock since it was the only place that did not require a 2-night minimum AND didn't cost well-over ---/night. Very quiet. A bit dated, rickety entrance, but it works.
The home baked pastries No shower, bathroom detached
Lovely home. Made me feel safe and comfortable. Hotel employee bakes fresh pastries every morning. She will make your stay in Sonoma a memorable one with her authenticity, hospitality and overall comforting sense of home. Nothing
Overall, we loved Santa Nella House. A few of the things that stood out:The proprietors, who were super friendlyThe food, which was delicious and different every morningThe wrap-around porchThe hot tubThe beauty of the BnB The location meant that we had to drive 10+ minutes on very windy roads to get anywhereOur shower really only provided lukewarm waterOur particular bedroom was quite small (most of the others, however, are larger)
Wonderful Sunday breakfast! Beautiful spot, with rustic charm.
The Guerneville Lodge was quiet, peaceful. The room was clean and comfortable. Room was simple, and inviting. The lack of television in the room was not a problem. Movies and books in the lobby. While this is a old lodge, it did not smell old. Everything was clean. If looking for quaint, this is it. It took a long time for the water in the shower to get hot. Once it did, the temperature was fine.
Overall, a wonderful place to stay for a weekend getaway, close to San Francisco. Close to the beaches and a 5 minute drive from Korbel. Wedding next door that had a live band that went until 10:30. Not the managements fault. And we were warned ahead of time. I didn't mind the band at all, they played great music! My girlfriend and I spent the day at Korbel and were just tired. We wanted to go to bed early.
