Pros: Great restaurant that gladly provided excellent vegan meals.
Cons: Poor housekeeping staff.
Pros: The water was hot and the mini bar fridge worked. Room service was lovely and pillows were nice. Lobby was lovely and staff professional.
Cons: What a horrid, rundown dump. Hallways reeked of mildew, carpeting was dirty, marble stained, bathroom reeked of stale urine, towels were worn and one stained w red fingernail polish, bed was as hard as a rock, and I felt itchy all night like bugs were biting me. The room was super noisy and we heard every person who walked by, and doors slamming all night! When we came back to hotel from a private party at 11:15pm, there was no parking available and no valet service...when we inquired if there even was a valet, the bellhop told us he didn't know anything about it. Overpriced, even w a 50% discount. This is s one star hotel at best. I will NEVER return.
Pros: Wonderfully relaxing, nice pool area. Room was beautiful and bed was very comfortable. Bathrooms and showers were lovely.
Cons: Parking was awkward. Only in the back of the building and not even big enough to park full capacity. Breakfast was also awkward as they had a difficult time working during a busy rush of people. Did make it up to us by giving us free lunch.

Pros: Inadvertently booked the Westin in downtown rather than the airport but glad I did. Imposing, stately building and very good spacious bedroom.
Cons: We had a three hour wait in line to check in before the Lions game. Once we checked in, our room was not ready and we received no discount on the room for it not being available for the entire reservation time frame. The staff was slow and very unaccommodating. Completely unacceptable.
Cons: room service
hospitality of staff
Pros: Very professional staff. The place is beautiful. Great location.
Cons: Parking was not included in the price.
Pros: Lovely accommodations in an iconic Detroit hotel. Great bar, great restaurants, friendly staff, beautiful rooms.
Cons: Spa does not match the quality of the hotel. The space is small, cramped, and dark; the equipment mismatched and broken. Friendly staff, but disappointing experience overall.
Pros: -great response time -professional/courteous customer service -comfortable bed -spacious -excellent food -pool/jacuzzi -shower was amazing
Cons: -$30/day valet -small tub -internet fee (although they removed it from my bill) -pricey food -snack bar was locked, never figured it out -limited tv channels
Pros: The dinner at The Roast and the friendliness of the staff, also the location.
Cons: Our view was blocked by a parking garage construction, but they did not charge us for our upgrade.
Pros: The overall décor of the hotel. The staff is extremely friendly!!!!
Cons: Luv everything
Pros: The room was comfortable and very attractive. The bathroom was quite nice.
Cons: No free internet unless you joined Starwoods and when I did I got an email confirmation in Arabic! Which freaked me out. The desk staff said they didn't know what to do and maybe it was some problem with my email. I pointed out it was only the one from Starwoods. The breakfast staff were very attentive, but the meal was overpriced for the quality.
Pros: Very clean, easy check in, nice room.
Cons: No breakfast and have to pay for Wi-fi
Pros: Our family enjoyed our stay on the 23rd floor of the hotel. The pool was warm and the beds were comfortable. Great room for the price!
Pros: A fabulous place to stay! Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs to be treated like royalty, from the time you park your vehicle until you depart. A+ hotel all around!

Pros: The Aloft is a great hotel. Rooms are nice, although a bit dark and could use more lighting. Staff was extremely helpful and answered all questions. The bartenders at the WXYZ bar were great.
Cons: The hotel needs a restaurant or small place to eat. For being a wonderful downtown hotel, it is nice to get something to tag at the hotel.
Pros: Amazing location
Cons: No parking. Had to pay $30 for valet
Pros: Great location downtown. Historic building gives a special feel and decor celebrates its past.
Cons: Peeling paint and creepy, dimly lit hallways.

Pros: Clean, quiet. Very nice breakfast selection.
Pros: The hotel staff were very friendly, the free breakfast choices were adequate and the 24 hour coffee was quite enjoyable. Plenty of free parking, close to restaurants and shopping, easy access to property from interstate.
Cons: I purchased a standard room with king size bed, my room had a queen size bed with a a pull out sofa bed, small bathroom counter, highway noise was constant unable to run fan to help abate noise at night. Finally was able to switch room the next day.
Great style.. very clean.. there is nothing more I need from a hotel. Other hotel chains should visit holiday inns and learn how to do it right.
Pros: Very dependably clean and well appionted. Every holiday inn I have stayed at all across this country is at the same level of quality...excellent. most are the same in other locations and I find that a good thing.
I would recommend this hotel. Did not get a chance to use pool because only stayed 1 night but would definitely stay again.
Pros: The staff was very friendly. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was very tasty.
Cons: It was difficult to locate hotel because it was behind another hotel and was only accessible through other hotels parking lot.

Pros: Great staff. Room was clean. View was excellent.
Cons: Room cards failed on numerous occasions. Kept nowhere near magnets or phones. First time right after check in was annoying but the third time after a concert with the elevators jam packed, not cool!
Pros: Close enough to walk to Tiger's games.
Cons: While approaching our room we could hear neighboring couple and son yelling and being loud. We turned right around and went back to front desk where we were quickly reassigned a quiet room overlooking downtown and Comerica Park.
Pros: When visiting any hotel, the staff make up 80% of the overall experience. The staff here at Greektown were my only friendly, but also incredibly accommodating and informative. If I had reasonable questions, they found me an answer as well as provided knowledge on getting around the city. They went above and beyond to make sure my stay was a memorable and satisfying one. Will definitely be returning in the future.
Pros: My room was clean, smoke-free, quiet and on the 22nd floor. The elevators worked well, they had a key security. Couldn't go pass casino floor without key card. Free valet, in room service and breakfast pre-order. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I enjoyed my stay and will return!
Cons: Room service and free valet
Pros: The room was fairly clean with the exception of someones fake eyelashes on the floor which was pretty gross.
Cons: The fact that my sister and I had a marathon early in the morning. The loud neighbors were rude and inconsiderate. I called security on them once, however they kept being loud. My sister and I got at most, an hour of sleep.
Pros: The view we got was amazing. The staff was excellent and so accommodating. I mentioned it was my birthday and they were so nice to be sure that we had an amazing view.
Cons: Heard loud music all night. Not sure if it was from bars outside or from neighbors? Couldn't tell.
Cons: Got rid of lobby bar
Pros: It was a well deserved and most awesome romantic get away!!
Cons: Love it all. Only thing bad, which isnt really that bad, but found clothing from prior guests behind the chair.
Pros: Overall stay. Great staff, very luxurious, great layout of the hotel and rooms
Cons: Needs a spa/fitness center
Pros: I had a chance to enjoy the Casino and Hotel over the Christmas Holiday!! it was warm and enchanting!! Everyone was kind and professional, I can't wait to return. We Loved it !
Cons: We loved everything, especially the free upgrade on our room, and room service was awesome!!
Cons: Room at night had big spotlights we weren't told about upon check out. Had to close drapes and it was still lighting up the room. Just terrible
Pros: 1. Location
2. Free parking
Cons: 1. Side view of the Detroit river from my room (still okay though)

Mini bar offerings were costly
Pros: The staff was very friendly and accommodating to my needs. Great location and great building!
Pros: Room was massive.
Cons: Continental breakfast was cereal.
Pros: Always great
Pros: The room was huge and really nice with great proximity to the casino.
Cons: The hotel needs a complete renovation. The beds were so old and uncomfortable, we ended up checking out at 6:00 am after a sleepless night.
Pros: the uniqueness and spaciousness of the rooms.
Cons: Our air conditioning only blew in the living area not the bedroom. it was just a little warm for sleeping.
Cons: Needs a usb port in the room. Most rooms I've stayed at have them. Very useful for charging your phone

Pros: The valet guys were super polite and awesome, asked me how my stay was and everything.
Cons: Never brought us toilet paper, towels, or pillows. Had to call them 3 times if I needed anything because they would just never show up. Front desk lady was so rude, didn't even take my complaints into consideration. I come to Detriot every weekend for work and last week I stayed at a $60 a night hotel that had WAY BETTER service than this $200 a night hotel! Don't waste your money! I wish I could get mine back after how these people treated us! OH I shouldn't forget that on our last day when we called the luggage cart up the lady made my 9 month pregnant friend roll it down and put the luggage in the car without helping her at all! I will NEVER come back here!
Pros: We were in town for a national conference just a few blocks away at the Cobo Center. Upon check-in the staff was super friendly and helpful. They even gave us a warm cookie. We were close to the stadiums, food places and downtown. The room was massive! The beds were in a seperate closed off area, so people could congregate in the sitting area if needed. Definitely worth the month compared to other hotels around the area.
Cons: Having to pay 30 dollars a night to park.
Cons: In-room service order wasn't quite accurate when delivered.
Pros: The double room suites are incredible! They're huge and feel very modern. This place and the staff are all very nice.
Cons: $15 to park next door at a lot that advertises $10 rates.
Pros: Comfortable rooms and friendly staff.
Cons: Shower tile could've used a bit more attention from housekeeping.
Pros: We were blown away by the customer service and room for the price. This is worlds beyond Greektown Casino Hotel. We will stay here again.
Cons: The valet was a little expensive at $27/day.
Cons: The bathroom setup.

Cons: I wish the pool was indoors.
Pros: Free breakfast and the front desk lady was really nice.
Cons: How the tv was set up

Pros: The staff was very helpful.
Cons: Your breakfast bar can not Compare with Comfort Inn,
Pros: Good location; proximity to restaurants; very friendly and helpful front desk staff.
Cons: Disappointing breakfast. Housekeeping did not service room one day. Old property, needs updating.
Except for the insect bites, a nice facility. If I had gotten indcation that they took action as a result of my experiencing bites while staying there, I'd have given them another chance. As it stands, I'm not willing to risk it.
Cons: Left at the end of the week with insect bites. Manager stated that a visual inspection showed no insects. I'd have felt much better with a response that action was taken.
Pros: All the above and especially the hotel staff were very accommodating Would definitely go back
Cons: Breakfast is not up to mark. There is no change in breakfast menu. If somebody stays longer, they feel bored of this breakfast. For somebody new to this area, it is hard to find out where this hotel is
Cons: Breakfast is not upto the mark, pool is closed
Nice kitchen and really good coffee! The area is loaded with a nice variety of restaurants and Laurel Park Mall is close by as well.
Pros: Close to I-275 and the fact that they had a pet free floor due to my allergies.
Cons: Would of been nice to have a king bed but only queen size beds.

Pros: Great price point, staff, cleanliness, and location!
Cons: I don't think the A/C unit was working right. It was really loud and kept me up at night. If I stay here again I need to ask the staff what is up with the in-room units...
Pros: Love the location, staff, and price-point!
Cons: There was something off about my A/C unit. It was loud. Perhaps I should have worked with them on it though, but beware it can keep you up at night...
Pros: Food at Restaurant in Lobby much better than typical hotel
Cons: Old/Tired facility easily visible beneath/behind the the skin deep cosmetic updates.
-Small concierge lounge
Pros: Very clean, great friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Rooms were on small side.
Pros: My husband and I stayed one night. It seemed pretty clean and the bed was comfortable. Near Dave and Busters and some restaurants. Breakfast at the hotel was better than typical (but it's not included in the price.)
Cons: The decor is a little dated, and the rooms could use a little more sound proofing. We heard some kids yelling in the hall at one point, but other than that it was quiet. It's supposed to be smoke free, however our hallway smelled like someone was smoking. Luckily, the room did not smell like smoke at all.
Pros: Pretty much everything.......the front desk was on task for check in(it was Halloween and they were dressed for it and shared the candy); being a single traveler I was given a second floor room which made me very comfortable and did not have to request it. Room was great; clean, comfortable. Special treat: restaurant/bar, Sweet Lorraine's with a very good breakfast buffet. I booked for a great rate and figured I was really in for a cheap night place: wrong. It was nothing but a good feeling from the minute I walked in.

Pros: close to airport, nice common areas, updated where it counts.
Cons: The Sliding Patio Door was unlocked when I checked in. WTH? Do y'all not follow a procedure to try and prevent worst possible scenarios? This is something you shouldn't have to contact the front desk about. Don't worry, I locked it and charlie-locked the patio door. Not on my watch.
Pros: Location. It was close to The Henry Ford and the Metro Airport

Pros: Convenient to the airport. My flight was cancelled and this was a great place to stay for the night. Room was comfortable and clean. Wait staff was friendly and the food at the restaurant was very good.
Pros: Everything about the actual room was nice. We stayed the night in a king size. There was air conditioning, a fridge, and free coffee packets. Overall, I think Comfort Inn is a good name, because we both slept like babies.
I wish we were up early enough to eat the breakfast. I'm sure it was good.
Cons: The staff was nice overall. However, when I checked in, one of the nice ladies at the counter didn't speak English too well. Communication was difficult, but I'm not sure how much control Comfort Inn has over this nitpick.
Also, at least for now, there is a lot of construction in the area. So it's hard to imagine what the stay would have been like without it. But neither of us were particularly fond of the prolonged roadwork.
Pros: Staff was excellent, room was clean, restaurant/bar on-site, free breakfast, timely shuttle to the airport. It was exactly what I needed to catch my flight the next morning.
Cons: Bathroom was a little small and there was no conditioner for my hair, but otherwise my stay was great.
Pros: Staff was very friendly and professional. Restaurant was open late and had free room service. Breakfast started early.
Pros: approximate to airport, clearn & staff was helpfull
Cons: lobby was extremely hot and humid, restaurant was ok... food not so great.
Cons: View of Overgrown, abandoned hotel across the parking lot and moldy/ musty smelling room.
Pros: Despite close proximity to airport, it was quiet. Front desk and house keeping staff were courteous and friendly. The onsite restaurant was good and reasonably priced.
Cons: Had to wait 30 minutes to check in because they did not have my reservation in the system (it was booked using one of those hotel booking sites). It was eventually resolved but not something you want to do at midnight after a long trip. First room had a telephone but no wire connecting it. The TV set did not work. 2nd room had a telephone with a connecting wire but no dial tone. With two queen beds, room was a little tight, could not sit at the desk and another person get by. In both rooms, toilet seats were loose.

Cons: But the fire alarm went off at 6:30 am and we stood outside for an hour before being allowed to go back inside. No compensation was given for this major inconvenience.
Pros: This was our 3rd stay at this hotel. Hotel experiences typically reflects it's local leadership. Each time we return because the hotel personnel are so courteous and professional. Never experienced an untoward event.
Cons: Hotel staff. Professional and courteous.
Pros: Very easy check in and check out process. Friendly staff. Loved the decor of the hotel. The room was great and the bed was comfortable.

Pros: We love everything about the hotel that's why we stay there as much as possible.
Cons: This is the second time that we booked a king room and were given a room with two queen beds. NOT HAPPY!!!!!
Pros: Super close to the stadium, theatre, opera house, plenty of bars and restaurants. Close to the casino and Greektown. Very comfortable beds, great staff and great wifi.
Cons: Heating system wasn't working well and the restaurant was short staffed. But after complaining, the manager was apologetic and tried to make it up to us.
Pros: The rooms were nice and beds were comfortable. The bar and breakfast areas were convenient and suprisingly good. Breakfast was great... hands down one of the best by hotel standards.
Pros: Staff & location
Pros: This spot becomes our first-choice hotel for downtown Detroit. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Internet is fast and reliable. Breakfast is fine, especially the made-to-order omelets with a wide variety of ingredients available.
Cons: Parking is in an open lot adjacent to entrance, but there seems to be good security.
Pros: Nice Rooms, Friendly Staff.
Cons: Parking NOT included. Cost isnt cheap.
Pros: The front desk staff were nothing but friendly and professional. They went out of their way to help with anything that they could.
Cons: The bar tender at The Grille could have been more pleasant and friendly. I was with a group of three and she seemed more concerned with some of the "regulars" and we were pretty much ignored.
Pros: I was thrilled with the room
Cons: I didn't like the fact that valet gave me such a hard time to park my car I had to show him my email that my room was paid for
Pros: We stay at the Hilton Garden Inn as much as possible when visiting downtown Detroit. It is a wonderful, safe, clean, great location hotel.
Pros: Bed was comfortable, Staff helpful and friendly, clean hotel nicely located a walk away from Comerica Park, Ford Field and other downtown areas.
Cons: Breakfast left much to be desired, toaster was broken, and had been for 2 days. Some of the food was decent, some was awful (don't have the cold, greasy, limp hash browns...)

Pros: The hotel is inclusive, and the rooms are clean. Most of the staff I encountered were friendly. Overall, the stay was a good experience.
Cons: Some areas seem to not be updated and well taken care of. The pool room was empty of clean towels, dirty towels were scattered around, and the hot tubs were outdated and not as warm as most hot tubs.
Pros: Great warm cookies. Comfortable beds. Excellent A/C. Nice work out facility & pool.
Cons: Too many pubic hairs in the tub. Makes one a bit leery for taking a bath.
Pros: This hotel is clean and has a great location. You're 20 minutes from downtown and the airport. You're outside of the congestion of the city, but close enough tof get to all that's great about Detroit!
Cons: I had to call the front desk to have my room cleaned one day. Housekeeping came at 9 in the morning, and when we we said we didn't need anything at that time, they never came back to clean our room while we were out. They came after 7 PM after we called the front desk to complain.
Pros: I liked the getaway vibe of the hotel, it was just what I needed. It seemed like a slow night so thankfully it was quiet with the occasional slam of a door in the hallway. The warm cookie is always a plus
Cons: Going out in the evening was a blast but it seemed like the staff disappeared after 9pm. It seemed like a ghost town and a bit unsafe.
Cons: Room wasn't ready on time. Someone's else's dirty washcloth was on tub. I was billed for grill food and was never at grill. I told staff in the morning but still watching to make sure I get the credit for the restaurant charges!!
Pros: Staff when i checked in was great. Offered me a cookie, chips, and water. Very service oriented.
Cons: There was some hair in the bathtub when i arrived to my room.
Pros: The room was spacious and clean. It was quiet at least when construction was not happening. 15 minutes from downtown Detroit and close to other cities but not really "in" Detroit. Some state police were staying there so I parked next to their patrol cars just in case. A noon checkout time was also very flexible.
Cons: Details details... There was construction on every floor instead of one floor at a time so you couldn't get away from the noise. They didn't start until about 11am which is considerate however we got in at about 3am so it was not the wake up call I was looking for. The TV remote only worked sporadically. Again, not the end of the world but another frustration. We had an issue with our key card and the response was "do you want a cookie?" Not in a rude way by any means but really? The bathroom door had to be shoved closed and the vending machine was completely empty. We also purchased a Starbucks bottled drink from the gift shop that had been expired for two months. Those don't keep well. And for the love of God please take the "Detroit girlz" shirt out of the gift shop window. It's a double tree, not a dollar tree.

Pros: The room was updated, clean, and comfy. Was everything you hope for in a hotel room after a long day of traveling.
Pros: Clean and comfortable
Cons: There was no shampoo & only one pack of regular coffee
Pros: convenience, breakfast is fine, clean, near rental car lots and expressway access. polite staff. coffee maker and microwave in room. comfortable bed. reasonable price. I always stay there when visiting Michigan.
Cons: faucets and knobs in tub were loose and almost falling off.
Pros: Liked the park and fly component. We were taken quickly to the airport early in the morning and picked up promptly on return. All staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Everything was fine.
Pros: Great service. I was able to check in early with my mother (on our way to her high school reunion), and then the airport shuttle in the morning was extremely accommodating and allowed me to see her off, and take a nap before my grandkids arrived in the afternoon. All around perfect!!

Pros: To have the location be so accessible at that price was phenomenal
Pros: Very clean and very peaceful.
Cons: In Jacuzzi suite room jacuzzi did not work.could not/would not give me a discount or anything of that nature.
Pros: It was clean
Cons: Pool did not work and the room was not what I reserved also the price quoted online was not what was charged.
Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful. If I nee a hotel in the future I wi reserve a room there.
Pros: There was a very nice breakfast (included in the cost of the room), an updated exercise room, and my room had a refrigerator and a microwave. The staff was friendly, the hotel was quiet, and the TVs in the room were quite nice. I appeared to be in a handicap-accessible room, which was very spacious.
Cons: I couldn't get the TV in the exercise room to work. Also, the toilet chain in my room broke so that I had to take the cover off the tank and manually lift the flapper. I told the management about it at 7 am and it wasn't fixed by the time I returned at around 9:30 pm. Neither of these were a big deal, but the latter could have been for someone without rudimentary plumbing knowledge.

Pros: Friendly staff, good value for the money, allows dogs
Pros: The hotel us clean and comfortable. Large room for the price.

Cons: Not much of a selection of TV channels, lots of noisy teenagers at the time of our stay due to a hockey tournament, no free breakfast.

Pros: The rooms and decor were a lot from than you would expect from a Best Western. The restaurant was great! My kids had pizza in the room every night.0
Pros: Located right off freeway. For vacation this hotel is okay for business trip I would not recommend. Bed was comfortable.
Cons: Very small room, no desk only a round table with a chair that was not adjustable. The blow dryer was attached to a wall outside of the bathroom (long cord but only reach to part of the bathroom, if you were right handed you had to almost stand in the bathroom doorway to use it with a decent mirror) and the bathroom was extremely tight. Overall the room was very dark.
