Nice, new car. Quick service downtown.Cons:
The Spokane airport location wouldn’t rent me a car and I had to Uber downtown to pick up. They gave me a car with Canadian plates and a metric speedometer, so it was difficult to judge speed. Rental was very expensive and they nickel and dime you for insurance coverage. Even the basic, minimal plan is a gouge.10.0 Wonderful

Pros:
We got an excellent deal on our rental from Avis in Spokane Airport. The SUV had only 6000 miles and was a great vehicle for our trip. I would definitely book with Avis again. There was no hassle whatsoever when we returned the vehicle.Budget

Pros:
We loved the Kia Sportage we rented for a week. The 4-wheel drive was great in the mountains, even when it snowed. It was clean and very comfortable to drive in.Cons:
When we picked up the car the gas tank was only 3/4 full. It wasn't a big deal but obviously something they missed. Another thing that they missed was the windows. The inside of the windshield had a residue of some sort that made it somewhat difficult to see clearly. It wasn't something we noticed before leaving the lot so we had to stop to clean it off.6.0 Okay

Person who checked us in was nice and friendly. He was quite busy. When I went back after we started the car up and saw the tank wasn't full, he said he would made a note of it. That didn't happen. He said to fill to where we started, but in Oregon we can't pump our own gas, it would have been too difficult to try and fill it to a little below 3/4, plus I wasn't totally confident that it would be noted in my file so I went ahead and just filled the tank.Cons:
The gas tank wasn't full (below 3/4). It was suppose to be full and we returned it full. Seats had stains. Car wasn't really cleaned... when we cleaned it out we found some trash under the passenger seat.3.6 Poor

The rental wasn't at the airport. I couldn't use my reservation and had to make another. And the new reservation was less money than you offered. Please make it more apparent when a rental is at the airport.6.8 Okay

Cons:
I specifically reserved a minivan and when I got there, all they had was a Ford Flex. It does have 7 seats but not nearly as much storage as a minivan. I ended up having to tie luggage to the top of the car. It was a huge pain.Dollar

It was recommended to me that I upgrade my rental to a mid size car as Spokane was experiencing bad weather. While it was a good idea to upgrade the car I was given was not only known to be terrible in the snow (according to one of their own employees out in the lot) but the tires on the car were trash. I am from a state that receives regular snow fall and I am used to driving a regular front wheel drive vehicle in bad weather. The issue here was the tread on the tire was minimal. After a week of slip sliding around on flat roads and being the only car to do so I called Dollar with my frustrations and was told that the car and tires were fine and it had been inspected. Sidenote the car needed an oil change and had less then 8 percent oil life left on it at pick up. I returned the car and went with Enterprise. Still got a regular front wheel drive car and still drove on the same roads of snowy Spokane but no sliding because the tires actually had decent tread. Never again will I rent from Dollar.10.0 Wonderful

Car was not properly maintained. When I got in it, the tire pressure warning was in with no customer service person to assist. Took vehicle to local tire shop, one tier at 30psi, one at 40, one at 50, and one at 60. Pick up person not properly trained in job, drop off person was snotty. Took over 75 min to pick up vehicle.Thrifty

Pros:
The pickup/dropoff process was quick and the car was ready when we arrived. The car itself was nice & clean.Cons:
The car we got wasn't the class we requested. The person at the pickup counter was a way over the top in his attempt to get me to buy their insurance. Trying to tell someone who has worked in insurance for 20+ years about how insurance works was laughable and insulting. I know they are under pressure to up-sell that garbage, but it was too much. He went on and on about how I'd be out so much money for "every single second we didn't have the car while it was in the shop." Insulting and frustrating, just stop it with the upselling on the insurance, or focus on 20 year olds who don't know any better. The final price I paid was nowhere near what I was quoted online and at the counter, so I will have to spend time figuring out where they got the extra $100. The drop-off staff member looked over every inch of the car in an apparent attempt to find any kind of ding or dent to blame on me. Again, insulting and infuriating.7.2 Good

Cons:
We booked car on kayak. When we arrived, guy at counter checked us in and slid card for payment. Right before we were to be given keys (we even chose between an optima or Malibu), our order was denied due to not having additional form of payment. We provided debit card, but apparently a credit card was required, which was never brought up or mentioned. Completely ruined our trip plans and we were left outside of the building, in a state we have never been to and was stuck outside until we could get a taxi. Left a sour taste in my mouth and ruined the trip as we had no car.2.0 Poor
