8.0 Very good
Pros:Pickup and drop off went smoothly. No problems.
Cons:The van was not washed before rental. Windows and mirrors were so dirty, I had to spend 15 minutes cleaning them before I could start my journey.
Pros:The car was excellent. Easy and comfortable driving
Cons:The Hertz office in Lady Lake (The Villages) was a very bad experience. We had to wait for about 1 hr for the understaffed office to clean a car for a person in front of us and to clean our car. Knowing we were coming to pick up the car, it should have been ready! Further, the inside was nice and clean but the outside was very dirty. I paid for a carwash before I left FL. Also, the office was very soiled looking and tacky. The pick up experience was quite annoying.
Cons:I called the day before and put a reservation in online. I had a family emergency in Alabama and needed to get there as soon as possible. I called before setting the reservation to see if they excepted debit cards they stated yes. The next day I spent 30 dollars on a taxi to get there. When I arrived, I had to wait for 30 more minutes to be told that my credit score was not high enough to rent a car from them. One hundred sixty dollars later, I rented from another company. I will never recommend them to anyone else who has an emergency.
Pros:We arrived 12min after the stated time on the reservation and the doors were locked!
Cons:It would've been nice to know that the place closed at 12 and that even though the reservation said to pick up at 12, we should arrive by 11:30. Had to drive an extra hour and a half to get another rental that day and paid $150 more.
Cons:Cleanliness of car and features of car could have been much better. When I raised these concerns upon return I feel they were brushed off.

Pros:when i arrived in Ocala to pick up my car i was asked to show two pictured forms of id, i did not fly there so i did not carry my passport and i do not even need one unless i travel out of country. Katie was just doing her job and would not rent to me because your computer requested the 2nd id. i usually use Enterprise to travel, however your rates appeared to be better. i arrived much earlier and returned my car early and was charged over 300 dollars for two days. i called avis and you rerouted me to pick up a car in the ocala airport, the gentleman also has the same request of me to show two form of picture id. he rented to me anyway but gave me a crossover which ate more then half the gas that the ikea would have used. you should have stated that i would need that id, what a stress you caused me to an already stressful time in my life.
Cons:state you might need a second picture id. your prices werent the price you state upon holding your car. i will not use avis if i can help it in the future.
Pros:VERY, VERY BAD experience. Reserved a convertible for 9AM. When we arrived convertible was not available. We were given a DIRTY Dodge Charger. The car was dusty on the outside had not been cleaned or disinfected in the inside. We had to wipe down the seats and steering wheel. This is a pandemic I expected a disinfected car. Car also smelled of cigarette smoke. Why would two grandmothers want a Dodge Charger. We ordered a mustang convertible to enjoy the Florida sun. We are very unhappy. I will tell everyone I know about my BAD experience with Avis/KAYAK.
Cons:The car we ordered (Convertible) should have been at the pick up area. Attendant should have worked with us, we were willing to go to another location for a convertible. He was not helpful Attendant needs customer service training Attendant needs more Avis training. Replacement car was filthy both inside and out. Replacement car needed to be disinfected inside we are in a pandemic Replacement car needed the smell of smoke removed WE ARE NOT HAPPY WITH BOTH AVIS AND KAYAK
Pros:Staff was friendly
Cons:Car had multiple dents, scratches, odor
Pros:Nothing. They didn’t have the vehicle I ordered and tried to get me to take another for more money.
Pros:Staff was very nice and made the rental process very easy. Drop off was a breeze.
Cons:The car smelled of smoke when we got it, which really stood out since we aren't smokers. Other than that, vehicle was very clean. We personally bought a Maguires odor bomb and set it off on the car and that got rid of the smoke smell. Overall very happy with the rental.
Pros:The price was right on. Ease of pick and drop off was good.
Cons:We were given a car with a tire that had a known issue of leaking air. This created a situation on our road trip where we needed to swap out the car. The office in Ocala, Florida was disorganized, and the representative at the counter was disinterested. The gentleman in the car area was helpful and kind and filled the tires with air. However, this car should not have been rented out to anyone as there was a known tire leak.

Pros:Staff was great for both pickup and dropoff. Easy, quick, and very happy with the experience. Vehicle was clean and comfortable and exactly what we needed!
Cons:I followed the directions in the message sent to my iPhone calendar from budget or kayak, I don’t know exactly where it came from but it directed me to return the car between 12 and 1 on September 10. So I pull up at 12:30 on September 9 trying to save a days fees which the girl in Leesburg told me was not going to happen. She told me to bring it back at the same time the next day.so I go rolling in at 12:30 on the 10th, the guy there had been there on the 9th but the nice girl wasn’t there. He didn’t seem to care for me too much, he took the keys moved the vehicle came back in and took my paperwork closed out the rental and then said you’re late so I’ve added 57.00 dollars to your bill. After some brief dialogue I realized I was getting nowhere with him so I left
Pros:Fast friendly service!
Pros:Everybody was a joy to work with and made my traveling a lot more fun.

8.0 Very good
Pros:Staff was great in assisting receiving the car
Cons:Make sure to thoroughly clean the car from cigarette smoke (even though people are not supposed to smoke in cars)
Pros:Pick up was easy
Cons:Dropping off wasn’t convenient because of their hours and even though they’re closed Sunday and I dropped off on Sunday they still charged me a full day for Monday.
Pros:Staff was friendly. But pick up process a disaster. The company computer wouldn’t verify my billing address. I had to call my husband at home, find and take pictures of water bill, light bill , email them to company. It took a very long time to get car.
8.4 Very good
Cons:did not have good selection of units . interior windows not clean
Pros:I liked that it was close to where I was staying.
Cons:The price was kinda of high considering I did not go that far to warrant it. (It was a low mileage visit.)
