Cons: I was disappointed in the breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was clean, updated, fresh coffee, polite & courteous front desk staff, and the bed was comfortable. The cookies were a nice touch but not very good but wasn’t expecting it. Great location and quiet location.

Pros: Bed was comfortable. Quiet locatiion
Cons: The room smelled musty. The bathroom was small. The design was poor. If you were in the small bathroom with the door open and someone entered the room, anyone in the hall could see you.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location to ISU, beds were awesome! Staff was very responsive when the tv didn't work-it was fixed immediately. Fridge and microwave in room is so helpful when traveling. Will definitely stay here again.
Cons: Shower head had a leak that affected the water flow, and sink drain cover couldn't be lifted up so it drained slowly. I let the staff know about both on the way out, so next person will have a better plumbing situation.
5.4 Okay
Pros: It’s easy to get to and was convenient for our visit to Iowa State.
Cons: When we checked in, our rooms were not ready. We came back an hour later only to have them give us a wrong room (we needed one with a king bed and one with 2 queens). We also realized why we had to wait to check in - there was a wedding reception being held there (we also had to wait in line while ONE PERSON checked people in). We had somewhere to be so we had to wait until we came back 3 hrs later for our second room. If you have an event, get enough staff! We also found bugs on our towels (in the room that wasn’t ready until late!). This put a damper on our whole trip. Since our son will be going to Iowa State for 4 years, this could have been our go-to hotel but not anymore.
6.0 Good
Pros: Great parking. Close to where we needed to have our meetings. Nice room with very comfortable beds.
Cons: Booked it in part because it had a restaurant and bar which were closed and seemed to have been for a while so we had to drive to dinner (pulling a trailer)which sucked to find a place to park. Bathroom drain was 100% plugged. No Breakfast of any kind.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, comfortable and quaint location and atmosphere
Cons: N/A
1.0 Poor
Pros: After driving for 12 hours, which resulted in checking in very late, to discover a filthy room, hmmm, the best part was turning in our two key cards, of which one did NOT work, and leaving our very dirty room the next day!!!!
Cons: *Was hair/dust around trashcan near sink *Bathroom floor had chunks of brown dirt & hair *Was a pill on the carpet by the bed & room wasn’t vacuumed *There was water spilled on table *Thermostat needed battery, cold air in room *Took pics *Never ag

4.0 Okay
Pros: The hotel was clean.
Cons: The room looked and felt like I was living in a shipping container. The room was damn ugly. There was an echo whenever you talked, again see the shipping container analogy. Could hear everything in the other room. 12.95 breakfast, no thanks.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was amazing... best bed I ever slept on in my life. I will purchase a garden series bed in the very near future. They supply quality brand soaps and shampoos/conditioners. They saw I had an issue beyond my control and bent over backwards to help
4.0 Okay
Pros: Clean
Cons: Not good value after talking to others staying in Ames same weekend.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good breakfast buffet.
Cons: Room door didn’t shut properly without extra effort, so anyone could walk in when we were out of the room. Shower unclean with hair on wall, mirror in closet really dirty. Hot tub wasn’t hot, but they fixed it later.
7.7 Good
Pros: Room size was good. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was pricey, but good.
Cons: We had some questionable stains on the carpet in our room. Thankfully our baby isn't mobile yet, if he was crawling I would have been more upset.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was great. Every interaction met or exceeded expectations.
Cons: We arrived a bit late & after checking in & freshing up in our room, we returned to the lobby to find the bar closing @ 10:00. We were able to find small bottles of wine in the concession area but were a bit disappointed. However, the woman @ the front desk comped them for us since we had also had to stop & report that our guest room door was unable on be locked when we tried to leave. She also moved us to another room with a fully functioning door lock but that necessitated us having to collect our suitcases, complete the move which caused us to pass the bar’s closing time. She graciously solved our dilemma which is commendable but it seems the housekeeping staff should have discovered that the room was unable to be safely secured.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice place and friendly staff
7.0 Good
Cons: The beds were firmer than we prefer, it would have been nice to have a free breakfast for the price we paid for the room.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Check in is at 3. Rooms not done I waited half a hour for my room. Cleaning people had a two hour meeting excuse. Then cleaning people yelling in halls etc. Check in staff was great they were sorry. Price not good for no free breakfest
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: I booked a room with a jacuizi. The room that we got did not have that. I was disappointed in the room for the price. It was very plain. It was spacious, but was not worth the money!
4.0 Okay
Pros: Clean
Cons: Ac didn't work and night desk personnel wasn't very professional
6.7 Good
Pros: Friendly staff and clean, comfortable and well appointed rooms.
Cons: Pervasive smell of sewage inside and out of the hotel, particularly around the pool area but also could smell in the room. Air conditioning comes on in aggressive loud intermittent bursts sounding like a jet engine by your head that wake you up/ keep you awake instead of the continual gentle hum found in other hotels. Not particularly comfortable/ cosy communal sitting area by bar

Pros: The food was terrible -- re-hydrated discs meant to resemble scrambled eggs. Give me a boiled egg if you are going to claim you provide breakfast. Staff was great. Facility a little run down, but heater worked fine. Bathtub was a slip and fall danger zone. As was the tile around the swimming pool -- but the pool was open and nice.

Pros: When they took our towels and did not bring any back to the room.
Cons: Wish maid service came in more often than one time we were there

7.0 Good
Pros: Staff was friendly. Breakfast had great coffee and staff was very clean. Beds were comfy.
Cons: Very thin walls. You can hear every door closing. Alot of events happening that weekend and the guest were very loud in hallways. Thanks for renovating, but need to finish.
5.0 Okay
Cons: Were only given 2 towels for 2 guests. They were very small, and smelled dirty. The tv in our room didn’t work. Sharp, rusty hardware in shower. Deadbolt didn’t line up, so didn’t lock.
6.0 Good
Pros: Bed was very comfortable and it was quiet.
Cons: The handicapped room was too crowded. It needs to be a full or queen instead of a king so a wheelchair can get to the bed. Take out a chair so a wheelchair can move around. There is a bump going into bathroom that was a real problem. I went in backwards. The room keys don't work well. After 2 days no key worked in my friends door, but their keys and mine opened my door! The outside door that is supposed to require a room key to open seldom locked. They did not clean my room after I asked them to wait a minute.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was awesome. The breakfast was good. My daughter enjoyed the pool and the fitness room.

Pros: clean.Breakfast lady was very nice and accommodating
Cons: air-conditioning very noisy, complain for 2 days but couldn't fix, so change rooms. Air conditioning was less noisy.

1.0 Poor
Pros: The shower had good water pressure. The mattress would have been comfortable had the sheets been clean.
Cons: We thought with it being a Baymont it would be nice. The opposite was true. The carpet felt sticky, there were no towels in the room and the sheets did not feel clean. We are pretty confident the sheets had previously been slept in.

6.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good for adults. Beds were very comfortable. Room was quiet.
Cons: Queen Studio picture and description not accurate - there is no sofa or sitting area as described at time of booking. Was remedied with room upgrade by hotel staff (after escalating to manager). Though upgraded room had serious plumbing problem in one of the bathrooms. It smelled horribly of sewer gas. Did not bother to change rooms *again*, just kept bathroom door shut and vent on and used other bathroom. The new room was also dirty - sticky surfaces with crumbs/candy residue, marker on walls, gum wrapper in dresser drawer, cereal under chair, mint and Lego piece under table. Would expect better from a Marriott property. Swimming pool was cold. Not a significant problem, but the elevator was freezing inside. Was quite brisk when returning to room after swimming with the kids. No waffles or pancakes @ breakfast for kids.

Pros: Breakfast food was pretty good. The server stayed on top of bringing fresh food out.
Cons: My mother was with us and stayed in "handicap" room. I am not sure that the room truly met the regulations for a handicap room. Low toilet, no handrails for her to take a shower and room too small for her to move her wheelchair in the bathroom with the door closed. The bed was too high for her to get in and out.
