9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely host and very friendly young lady serving at breakfast. Very helpful with recommendations for dinner etc and very clean and cosy room. Would definitely stay again.
Cons: The only constructive feedback I would have is for some slightly thicker curtains so it wasn’t so light in the morning - it might have just been my personal preference and I would still recommend staying here but thought it was worth mentioning in case it helped.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff were great and friendly, location was away from the actual pub facility so great for families and the food was delicious. Rooms were spotless and the owner offered some toys to entertain my small children which was a truly lovely gesture.
Cons: It was a little noisy between rooms - maybe a sign to state that families are staying as well. However, it is a pub, so I expected some noise level.
6.3 Good
Pros: The breakfast was very good.
Cons: The room decor was very dated and the hot water tank was located in the wardrobe, which made a noise every time someone turned the tap on. This cupboard could be sound proofed.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location could not have been better for the funeral in Long Melford we were attending the next day. The annexe room (first floor) was warm, cozy. AND the bonus was a 2 minute walk to the Angel Pub, full of character and a genuine warm welcome from Hazel at the bar and good food at very reasonable prices. Tuesday night, at 9.30pm is when the 'Mummers' arrive for their after practice liquid refreshment! Wunderbar! The Breakfast was wholesome & filling; a lovely waitress and breakfast companions, an Aussie family, visiting UK relations. Excellent value for money and commended.
Cons: Disappointing that the Internet access was nil overnight, though was ok the next morning. Car parking was tight within the b&B curtilage, though seemed to be well controlled by our host.

Pros: Loaction was good aswell as being a good price for a night. Staff very friendly. Excellent full breakfast. Rooms very clean
Cons: I would say the only downfall was that it can get very noisy at night due to it being a pub.

Cons: No lift.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything... Excellent staff food service Brilliant classy hotel and restaurant
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast is the finest I have had in the UK..... a thing of wonder, cooked to perfection. No baked beans... but haricots in a home cooked tomato sauce reminiscent of a wonderful cassoulet served in its own iron pot.... every component cooked to perfection by a chef not a cook. The evening meal superb... French cuisine at its finest, with no pretentions, simply excellent ingredients cooked wonderfully. White Sancerre was excellent. The cheese board has to be seen to be believed, and the staff....... all to a tee excellent. My highest recommendation.
Cons: I had been warned via the website that my room was in the loft and unsuitable for couples (room Boheme). At 6'2".... I was at the limit of the rooms suitability for my size, and the eaves of the roof made the bath very difficult to use... however, that was a structural issue they can't control and I had booked at the last minute. The room itself was excellent, totally clean and I will stay at this hotel again.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location. Little extras in the room like complimentary sherry, fruit and a Nespresso coffee machine.
Cons: Room was pretty small but adequate.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent food, service, friendly staff, setting.
Cons: Our bed in Room 4 was very hard ( mattress and topper). As a result my wife had to sleep on the sofa instead! This was surprising and disappointing. Everything was fine otherwise, however.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It really was a home away from home. Maggie was so lovely & you really felt like part of the family. The place was so beautiful & so quiet; the night sky was unbelievable. There’s a couple of adorable dogs, the hosts make their own honey amongst other things & there’s a piano- it’s like being in an episode of the good life! If you want to get away from it all (but still have excellent WiFi) this is the place. Quintessentially English.

Pros: Lavenham is a unique, picturesque town and the Swan is in the heart of it. The breakfast is good with locally sourced ingredients. The rooms are quirky and in keeping with the age of the building. The beds are really comfortable.
Cons: I was a bit disappointed with the evening meals there seemed to be a lack of consistency. There were several wedding receptions one of which was in the meeting room just below our bedroom which slightly disturbed us. Also the lounge area gets 'reserved' for the wedding parties/afternoon tea groups, which is annoying if you want to have a quiet read.
