The beds were very comfortable and well appointed but, as a whole, the hotel looked like it had seen better days. It was quiet, in part I believe, due to it's "out of the way" locale and few guests. The staff was very pleasant. When we made our reservation the website was confusing. We were under the impression that we were staying at the other Hilton Garden Inn in Suffolk, off Rt. 32. Consequently, we were forced to backtrack some distance to reach our hotel. Apparently, we were only one among many weary travelers to make that "mistake". They had pre-printed directions behind the counter to the other far less impressive Hilton Garden Inn.
I have been staying here for 10 years at least two or three times a year. This time I brought my son who is allergic to dust and mold. He was unable to breathe in this hotel. We had to run AC so room was cool enough to help him breathe. I think it has been a while since it has been updated and the rugs have embedded dust. I will not stay here again. Looking for a hotel more recently remodeled to see if this will help him.
Spacious lobby. Lots of meeting rooms. Good size guest rooms. Somewhat "cold" staff at front desk. Location is not in the best neighborhood. Not very advisable to go out for solo stroll in the evenings. Expensive for location. A/C shut off in middle of night making sleep uncomfortable.
I recently had a wedding in Suffolk, and this hotel was in the perfect location in regards to proximity. It was so beautiful, and the staff members were so accommodating. We had family coming in from all over the East Coast, and from Boston to Florida, everyone RAVED about how wonderful the hotel was! Thenjoy entire weekend was perfect, in large part to the folks here! I didn't find anything that I didn't like about this place!
I like our privicy, The meals at the cafateria, the fitness room, the service that were provided, the staff were great. N/A
accommodations, service, location, restaurant! Exceptional! Very enjoyable stay at this Hotel!
Everything. Great hotel.
Morning breakfast Nothing as such
The location of the hotel was near stores. The room bed sheets had hair on them and the pillow had an brown stain on it. The room door stop was busted on the wall and I had to wait nearly 10-15 minutes at the front desk to be seen by staff to checkout.
Everything the breakfast was good also. I liked everything about the overnight stay.
The location was far better than expected same nlock as 7 11, wendys mexican restaurant and Ruby Teusdays . The hotel was very clean, nicely furbished and the breakfast was delicious . Id gladly stay here in the futire

Room was clean and accommodating To noisy and loud during the evening, unfriendly hotel staff, breakfast, and total cost

Loved the breakfast, shower, tv and the beds slept great. We saw only one elevator. With the size of the hotel, we thought there should be more.
clean, modern decor, affordable
The room and bed ere both very comfortable. The room and bath room were clean and nicely decorated. The air conditioner was not noisy and still kept the room at a comfortable tempreature. There are places to eat in walking distance. Nothing
Everything it was clean. Staff was nice. We enjoyed our stay. No!!! This was our second stay and would stay again!
The staff are always friendly, they have let my check in early both times I stayed there. They also respect privacy, yet and intentive when around. Found a bag of used condoms stuffed between the bed and night stand. There was also a spot of semen still left on the window when I went to open it three morning after check in for fresh air.
The king suite rooms are spacious and appear clean. It's no smoking hotel, but the 4th floor was full of cigarette smoke. When I went to complain on two different occasions, there was no one at the front desk. The first time I went down was in the middle of the night which I understood, but the attendant was also absent during the day, too. I had a 6-month-old with me and spent as little time in the hotel as possible for this reason. The room had leftover clothes from the last guest tucked under the bed and in the drawers. The parking lot was incredibly small and packed. The lady checking us out didn't greet us. She stared at me until I told her I was checking out. Then she said "Room number?" and that was it. No hello, no goodbye. Never again.
We could not pull the curtains close and daylight came in the morning, so it was not a restful, peaceful sleep with light coming in.
Service was great and timely Very crowded band competition
I liked everything about this hotel. All my experiences was wonderful. I love to book it again. I barbegued with my family while I was there, and my grandkids loved the pool. I just wished that they had a full mirror to see what you looked liked while you was getting dressed. Other than that everything was perfect
The hotel appared much more run down than many BW I've stayed in. I would avoid if you can stay if at a different location. My room had the constant sound of water running. The window was busted. Rough neighborhood.
Comfy bed. Very clean. Room did not have full length mirror. Vanity space was small. Expected full breakfast but got continental. Very crowded for breakfast.
I liked the shower, plenty of hot water and water pressure. TV didn't work properly and was old tube type, not HD flat screen. Building was old, had been renovated and was in poor condition. Room key quit working after the first day, ice machine was out of order, drink machine was out of order. Hall on the second floor was not air conditioned.
It took three times to get a room without any issues. Then there was a sewage drain line that ran out of the building and deposited the water throughout the parking lot. Lastly, the "Continental" breakfast was terrible...water and room temperature milk were your drink choices and old bananas and stale cereal were for eating.
Price Drain issue in parking lot, water standing
The attitude the lady had about me booking online. Also woke up the next morning with no water to shower. Won't be back!
None. Very disgusting. Saw some dead roaches in bathroom. Did they ever clean the room? Also no soap provided.
The location to restaurants was good The staff/owners were rude. The room had bugs and the carpet and chair was dirty. The air conditioner was not working. The breakfast cereal was stale.when I asked to cancel my second night the lady was rude and said I can leave.i was unable to get a refund
Picked this place as a sleepover going home. Room needs freshening. Popcorn ceiling and walls don't cut it. Bedcover had a hole and the sheet had a burn hole. Door latch was very hard to turn. Rug had spots on it. Desk leg brace was broken and held on with scotch tape. TV remote battery cover was missing, Batteries held in by tape. Could not turn on TV with remote. Didn't matter much. Hotel advertised cable TV but all I got were about a dozen local channels. Room advertised as having a Coffee make but there wasn't one. Wanted to take a shower but could only coax barely warm water from it. Complementary breakfast in lobby consisted of one pot of coffee, several small and sticky blueberry muffins, 3 slices of bread for toaster and 2 wrinkled bagels. No juice, no fruit, nothing hot. If I'm ever in need of lodging in the area in the future, this place will not be on my list.
Nothing the person that answered the phone. So I did not stay there. Did not get a refund.
Nothing Pool closed, charged extra for my 2 children, soda and ice machine did not work
Nest thing was the price and that was it. They never came in to clean our room. They wanted us to reuse our towels. Uh I think not. We had to get new towels everyday. The pool was closed. Breakfast was just cereal and toast. Worst hotel stay ever.
Nothing at all it was the worst experience I've ever had I had to leave and find another hotel. Everything I did not like.
Nothing The visuals provided were nothing like what it actually looked like. The bathroom was dirty and had someone else's soap left in it. I asked for extra towels and they were stained so I ended up not even using it. Pretty sure there were bed bugs.
The location was convenient for our activities in and around suffolk, VA. The room was filthy. We found a used bandaid on the floor as soon as we walked in. There was a hole in the wall behind the sink where plumbing was exposed. One night they didn't even come in to clean the room so we had a full trash and ran out of toilet paper.
The location was nice and the price was cheap. The fact that most of the guests were women of the night was not a problem for me. However, families may want to avoid. The staff are extremely rude. Don't get sucked into their B.S. scam about city tax increase last year. The beds are worse than sleeping on the floor. The pillows are small and flat and the bedding does not look like it has been cleaned. The tub was slick which makes showers interesting. The towels are dirty and in need of being replaced like the rest of the things in the room. There are only 3 outlets in the room. 1 on the side of the bed by a lamp and 2 on the wall with the TV. Had to buy an extension cord to plug in my various devices. The TV required 2 remotes. 1 for the TV which was only good for volume and 1 for the tv box on the side. The tv box looked like on of those antenna converter boxes.
