Clean room, Beautiful view from balcony, nice and friendly staff, quick room service, nice set up of room.
We enjoyed our stay but when you book a two bedroom unit and expect the same only to be met with a $40.00 charge to make-up other room is poor both from a comfort and ongoing business point.
Great Service, Excellant Room Service, Great Location
It was in a great location for a great price so much fun!
view was ok room was good but we had a issue with the shower that needed us to be relocated to another room.Staff made me out to feel like a idiot as i didnt know how to use the show.It took about a hour to be moved to another room staffing was a little bit light on car parking arrangements not enough lifts to car park
Very nice comfortable rooms with splendid ocean view. Very central location. Cannot understand why this hotel is only rated 3 stars. It deserves at least 4, even 5 stars in my opinion. Free parking space in the building. Very helpfull staff at the reception. Very good price.
We had a luxury ocean view room - 18th floor with a great view of the beach. I think lower floors would not have the same views. We were there just as "Schoolies" weekend started!!
Helpful staff The housekeeping was a bit careless and took away 2 of my son's softoys while cleaning the sheet by mistake but managed to recover it through helpful and friendly staff the next day
room I going to book anothernight there on sat but the price is bouble
Close to the beach and shops. Friendly staff and clean rooms
Hotel under-going renovation so very disruptive to guests. Not told at time of booking. Rooms old and tired
Hotel staff were helpful. Got good advice on things to see in Gold Coast and nearby places. Lift floor buttons were malfunctioning in some lifts and indicator informing arrival of lift were not functioning for all lifts.
The staff were helpful throughout our stay there. Getting the pool towels can be quite a hassle from the concierge as the staff may not be always available there.
The staff were extremely polite and helpful, setting up day trips and transportation for us. GCI was our favorite hotel of the three we stayed at during our trip.
Clean, comfortable very good standard with all facility needed for a business travel. Good food - Particulary liked it wasn't in the middle of hustle and bustle. No not really
Location, size of the room. The room and furniter didn't feel fresh.
Comfortable bed Tea and Coffee facilities were provided but did not include milk, which we didn't realise until next morning and had no time then to arrange purchase before leaving for an appointment
The staff were fantastic and they couldnt have been more helpful. I thought the Day Spa was there (as seen in advertisment) and it wasn'tthat was disappointing but the staff organised a massage for me, at a place close by. No worries!
I like the bed and soup there , very comfortable
It was close to cavil ave and all the shops are only a short walk away. I did not enjoy the banging at 6.45 am on Monday morning that was due to the renovations. I understand the hotel is currently being renovated, however I would have liked to have been informed of this before my stay.
the view from the room
Very handy to beach, shopping, restaurants. Rooms were clean, staff helpfull, car parking easy. A good hotel.
the location. and the staff. i didnt like the fact that i booked a double room. and instead, i got a room with three single beds in it, and instead of a double bed, i got two singles shoved together, and two single dunas on it. i thought that was unfair.
staff courtesy and fun was excellent specifically towards my 4 yr old daughter. i took specific note of how she was treated and i was most impressed. the dinner menu could be expanded a little more.
Personally, my family and me found the room comfortable, however in the booking there was slight confusion stating that a child would have an aditional bed at no extra cost surprisingly that threw me off as I spoke to the staff and they mention there was $35 dollars charge each day, However that is only a small matter . I could have made a mistake while reading the information provided by booking .com, on a whole we had a wonderful and comfortable stay at the vibe. The staff were fantastic and very helpful and they attended to all our needs promptly. We have stayed in numerous 5 stars hotels and personally I would rate this hotel in that category in terms of service .Thank You Honestly we did not have the oppurtunity to use the other facilities so I can't really comment on that. Finally this is not a complaint instead a positive review. There is still room for improvement in the breakfast buffet area , slightly more varities of food should be included, like mixture/varities of asian and vegetarian breakfast, on a whole it is still good in respect to pricing. No other comments
The friendliness and helpfull staff. Only one lift was working so it caused some inconvenience, but that's only temporary.
Conveniently located close to Surfers Paradise Poor service: No porters. We are staying at the vibe and still had to pay for car park.
very nice view some staff not very helpful
the location friendly staff
The view from our room on 19th floor was fantastic, a great place to chill with a glass of wine at sunset. The two female front of house staff who checked me out at the end of my otherwise pleasant stay.
all good except for poor shower and 2 double beds not a king size bed see above
I have to comment on how quiet it was. This is often a problem for me when staying in motels and am pleased to say this was not the case at the Marriot. I also enjoyed the friendliness of staff they struck a nice balance between efficiency and friendliness. I prefer an earlier check in
Polite staff Clean room Fresh Food Fantastic swimming facilities (best on gold coast) Very poor service in Lagoon rest on first night. We received the incorrect food order (ordered a la carte) and we did not receive our drinks. The manager was very good and offered one of the meals at no cost
The Fact that I book through this website and got all the way down there to be told they had no rooms left and that you people hadnt up dated or closed your site and that the Marriott then had to ring around to find us accomodation but luckily someone cancelled and we got our room anyway
The hotel lobby was amazing and the staff came running out to grab our bags with a smile great first impression. Everything and more then was expected the elandra club retreat was worth the extra, pools were amazing! No all good
So beautiful and the staff were amazing. Can't wait to go back and stay there for our honeymoon. Everything was perfect can't complain about anything.
Staff at Reception were welcoming and informative. Breakfast was promptly served despite the restaurant being very busy. Room was excellent, comfortable bed and large bathroom. Will stay again when visiting the Gold Coast.
I loved the style, service and facilities at the Marriott. It had a wonderful spacious pool with a pool bar, an amazing Spa downstairs with excellent staff and expertise and offered all the 'perks' of a luxury hotel. Just what we needed for a relaxing break! It didn't have showers in the toilet area of the outdoor pool space.
The private beach area was great for the kids. The buffet was way overpriced.
The beach/pool was very nice, with the fish and wild water dragons sunning themselves on rocks. The tall ceiling lobby and old world design was nice. We thought the beach view room was over stated. The location was central enough if you have a car, but without the walk to surfers and ammenities is a bit far. Shuttle buses, of reasonable rates, to/fro the attractions and airport would be nice.
The overall layout of the hotel was good with a nice theme. My son loved the water slides and the pools and spas.
heated pool & spa the bed. did not like two single beds pushed together, very uncomfortable.
I experienced very poor customer service from one member for the duration of my stay. I was given false information 3 times in one day and did not enjoy the service what so ever.
It would have been nice to have the towels changed during the week The use of the car park
the food in the resturant was great
Non invasive, friendly and helpful staff. All aspects of breakfast were well catered for. The lifts gave cause for concern
friendly and efficient reception. The pools and slide are really fun for children. lack of rooom service and enought refresh goods such as toliet paper or soap (only supply on the arrival and charge if you require some more). This system doesn't sound good if you intend to stay longer.
the rooms and facillities the rain but not your fault
Location is great. The 3 bedroom apartment is so good for family with nice view and very comfortable.
The size of an (ordinary) room was impressive; it included a full lounge-room and kitchenette as well as bathroom/toilet. I was also impressed at the helpfulness of a male receptionist on the night of my arrival when two washing machines in a row failed to operate. The hotel sells a container of cow's milk at well above the ordinary retail price and charges twice as much as anywhere else does for access to washing and drying machines. These prices imparted a sense of opportunism rather than of customer service.
A sHORT walk to a patroled beach.. The breakfast was very good. The 2bed rooms were more than we expected. Being woken up in the middle of the night with a fire alarm. Set off by single sex group and being aloud in a very nice family hotel
I liked everthing! NOPE
Comfortable and convenient location.Bistro breakfast good quality and value. Room had Tea and coffee ingredients but no jug for water heating. Also no soap in bathroom
the parking they haven´t free internet. you shoud pay 6 dollars per 1/2 hour.
The room was large and well appointed - small kitchenette, large lounge, good size bedroom and bathroom. Everything you could want. Great balcony although a couple of blocks from the beach so not overlooking the beach - good view though down the Surfers strip. Breakfast good value at $15/head for guest (ask reception for voucher cards for the discounted breakfast buffet) - lots of choice of continental and hot breakfast options. First room I was given had an air conditioner which sounded like a old dodgy fan, but reception was happy to move me. The room I moved to had a great air con. The TV made a high pitched whining noise for the first 5-10 minutes or so after it was turned on - was OK as noise went after it warmed up.
the pool and spa alot of things i didnt like.like the room wasnt the room i booked for.the recpit was printed in the wrong name, not my name, shower was to small and also bathroom was to small.also beds werent good,it was two singles had to push the beds together.service was poor.
The room was quite private and there was plenty of hot water. Furnishings were generally comfortable. My room service meal arrived quickly. The tv reception and choice of channels was poor. Internet was a fee for connection. The airconditioner could not warm the cold room. There were no extra blankets and when they were requested they took a long time to arrive and only then after a second call to the service desk.I Ordered one main meal and 2 arrived, which I paid for because I didn't look at the delivery tray when the room service arrived. Parking was inadequate for the number of guest rooms and the spare space was advertised as tow away zones. The decore is dated and really needs a vamp up. There was mould in the bathroom and the outdoor balcony was quite neglected and dirty. I kicked my toe on a door stop that was in the middle of the bathroom floor- It hurt!
Even though we only stayed a few days we found A.S.h rooms very comfortable and well set out meeting all our requirements, the staff extremely helpful and professional, the pool area lovely and the buffet breakfast great. Also happy with the rates and would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and stay again ourselves.
The food in the restaurant was divine both for dinner and breakfast
Excellent kids club and facilities to entertain children aged 3-12 years
Even that we had small obstacle with the booking through the internet, the receptionist did everything to fix the problem without disturbing our holiday spirit and make our stay more comfortable. I liked the management in their effort to be of service, convenient and entertain at the same time - especially with organising interesting games and fun for kids as well as enjoyable time for adults too around the beautiful pools and set up stage. I also find very convenient the stores and restaurants within the resort, which saves time looking around trying to find something handy at the time. I do have some suggestions that may be of help to pass it on. I think that pharmacy store will be convenient to have in the resort too, having in mind that the resort is mostly used and loved by families with small children; you never know when that maybe needed. And some bathrooms (tabs) upgrade maybe considered for the future times.
convenience store and family orientated. the mattress was sooooo old and uncomfortable. springs digging into my back, terrible sleep. pillows hard as a rock, couldnt sleep.
i loved the catering for our children that was great, however i work at a 5star country club resort in victor harbour and im in the house keeping department and i thought the cleanliness of the rooms couldve been better Cleanliness of the rooms couldve been better, services were a little poor forgetting to top up sugar, coffee and tea. The price is good but when we pay that high amount i expected things to be topped up, all in all a lovely stay we will definately return
Large room -
the location was wonderful and the apartment was big enough the reception timing, i have difficulties to meet the reception staff.
Liked having own parking space. Shopping Trolley's in car park to help take personal effects and/or shopping to our room. Lovely view. Units very well appointed. Security good. Having to buy $1.00 toilet rolls at reception!
The view and the room was fantastic. The pool and the spa was great! Plus the location was the best, just a short walk to everything! I loved it. Would definitely go back again.
We arrived after hours with a hire car. It was a bit difficult to see the entrance to the carpark , but once located, very easy and secure to use. The after hour arrangements worked well for key pickup and there was also a detailed list of how things at the Grosvenor worked. The accommodation was a double bedroom unit on the upper floors facing along the beach to Cavill St. It was spacious, clean and in good repair. All appliances were in good/as new condition. The bedroom curtains were thick enough to keep out most of the morning sun light when trying to sleep. The queen bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I ever stayed in( I would have preferred kingsize). The balcony overlooked the beach and was quite sheltered No air conditioning, but we coped as both bedrooms had remote control ceiling fans, and there was a portable fan for the lounge/kitchen area.
The hotel is quite dated and the whole complex, including our unit needs renovation - even painting and new curtains and carpet would make a huge difference.
Located in the center of surfers paradise and near the beach. Nice ocearn view. Not gorgeous but enough.
Friendly staff (Debbie...thank you), excellent location, great price, safe environment and fantastic sized balcony (to enjoy a wine/dine with a view and plenty of activity). We'll be back!! The only gripe was the stale smell of the lounge suite...other than that - really comfortable
Fantastic water/beach front view. Best location for shopping as it is right at the heart of down town Surfers Paradise. Spacious room for large families.
We enjoyed a lovely, relaxing weekend where we were able to find peace and comfort in our room if we wished, or we could shop and explore other areas of the coast and beach also. Excellent location and service, we will return to the Grosvenor. n/a
The only good part about this place is the location Everything other than the location, nothing worked, the place was filthy and the managers di9dn't want to know
