A very charming and attractive home filled with tasteful antique furniture, paintings and artwork, and hosted by a wonderful couple who provide you with a warm welcome and fresh chocolate chip cookies. The breakfast service was superb, and provided an opportunity to visit with other guests in a relaxed environment.
Pros: The hospitality of the proprietors.
Cons: At my age, the 17 stairs up to the second floor where guest rooms are located. Too many trips necessary to get all of my stuff in and out. That said, I was long overdue for that sort of exercise!
Pros: I did not call ahead to let them know I had a dog... After I checked in I saw the signs... no pets... :-( But after I went back in to the office... I paid a small fee and my puppy was allowed in the room... They went above and beyond... the Rooms was clean and personnel was very friendly and professional :-) Well Done! I will be staying that a Red lion again
Cons: No stairs.
Maids start knocking on doors at 9. I asked at front desk and that is how determine if room can be cleaned. We were sleeping and it woke us.
Cons: Noisy fan from nearby room made getting to sleep difficult.
Pros: Friendly staff, large, clean rooms.
Pros: Location amd very clean.
Pros: I liked that the hotel was across from Walmart and downtown.
Cons: The front desk staff, a younger girl and middle age woman, were beyond rude. They basically called me a liar at one point and acted put out when we requested rooms next to each other or one on the ground floor for my elderly mother.
Pros: Hotel was located close to food choices. Staff was very friendly. Walmart within walking distance. Had a very enjoyable stay.
Pros: It was close to other businesses and places to eat.
Cons: Some of the staff were very rude and lazy. Everything I would like to write will not fit in this space.
Pros: It was a fast check-in and check-out. Parking was convieniant in front of the room.Location was beautiful.
Cons: the breakfast was not good. Nothing was there. Not even jam or any kind of eggs or bacon. We had to ask to at least get something to put on the toast. That could be a bit better.
Pros: Very clean large room. Quiet. Allowed me to check in early. Everything worked. It had a small refrigerator and microwave, desk and separate dining table. Well lit. Wow.
Cons: No, the experience was great.
Pros: Quiet and convenient.
Pros: Parking was close.
Cons: Breakfast food ran out before 9am on Sunday.
Cons: The breakfast...Lumberjacks was overly heavy food with awful service. I wish they just had a regular continental available.
Pros: Clean room and friendly staff.
Cons: Smallest, hardest queen ever. Pillows felt like bags of flour. The comforter crackled like plastic every time we moved. It should have been washed several more times to get the newness out. Worst nights sleep.
Pros: I liked the tea, the pillows were comfortable.
Cons: Air Vents Dirty, Quite a few channels didn't work. The shower head was loose and the bottom one almost came out.
Cons: But the water handle in the shower was broken the man came right away to fix it, then when it came time to take an actual shower. The water would not get hot! It's like the water heater was broken.
Pros: The bed was comfortable
Cons: No coffee maker in the room, or lobby so pretty much you outta luck if your an avid coffee drinker like myself. And you can hear people upstairs walking around all hours of the night.
Pros: I visit Susanville quiet a bit and I always stay here at the Budget Inn. The owners are extremely nice and super friendly. The location of the motel is right next to Roundtable Pizza, dollar tree and a Ross so you can have a bite to eat and go shopping right after.
Cons: The door was so poorly hung that the latch didn't catch; therefore, the door could not be locked. There was no deadbolt. There was a chain on the doorframe that could be draped over a screw on the door as the only locking device. The carpeting and floors were filthy. There were layers over layers of chipped paint, a desk and table but no chair. Only one sheet on the bed. No towels (had to ask), no soap, no tissues, no shampoo, no phone. The air conditioner was above the door and not reachable since there was no chair to stand on to get to the controls. Missing chunks of linoleum in the bathroom. The toilet was not clean. There was garbage overflowing around every garbage container outside. The view from the window was of an overflowing large trash bin from the garbage service. This place should be condemned by the health department. Extremely sub-standard.
Cons: Our reservation was missing. Then the room stunk badly of chemicals. The second room stunk as well, but not as strongly. The bed was broken the drywall taping in the bathroom looked like it was put on by a kindergarten class. There was a bloody towel under the bed and then they charged us another night when they said they'd give us till Monday on the money they charged us. Which was equivalent to 2 nights. They also tried to rent the room out to someone else while my wife was inside. In other words it was not worth any money to have stayed in a hotel dedicated for the homeless. It was dirty falling apart and too expensive for the no star rating it deserves.
