9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect for us, across the street from a beach, near a large Safeway, near King's Beach and a few hikes. I had never been to Tahoe and the staff was super helpful in guiding us to what we wanted to do. The housekeepers were very kind and helped my son use the waffle maker when they saw him struggling a bit. Breakfast was more than your typical continental breakfast of pastry and coffee, which I appreciated since that's not my usual thing. Everything was clean and well kept.
Cons: Our comforter didn't have a cover which I though was a bit strange but but not a big deal. It was summer and warm so we just used the sheets.
9.5 Excellent
Cons: Road noise with door open in evening and throughput the night
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was friendly; room was spacious, clean and simple but contemporary. Liked having a flat screen television, WiFi, gas fireplace, fridge and microwave, nice view of lake, and free continental breakfast, all for a good price.
Cons: No
6.8 Good
Cons: Swimming pool closed early Breakfast area reception area is together and is small and can get noisy
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful view, great location, comfortable bed, Nice simple breakfast. Would stay again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was fresh.
Cons: That we had to open a very high window to vent during showers. We also had to leave the balcony door open all day or the room would be too stuffy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is great. Beach access across the street and local restaurants and shopping 15mins away in either direction.
Cons: It’s an older building so you can hear your neighbors walking above your room . If your room is on the first floor, natural light is limited depending your room location. No air conditioning in our room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was very nice. Pool great for the grandkids. Staff great. Very good location. Very helpful. We will come back again.
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff was friendly, room was very nice (loved the gas fireplace), breakfast was fair--not much in the way of protein available--but what was there was good.
Cons: The setup of the sink/coffee maker was very crowded. Parking was tight. Price was higher than I normally spend, but for North Lake Tahoe in middle of summer, it was understandable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Walk to the beach, pool, outdoor patio, comfort table bes
Cons: N/a
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean.
Cons: Needs Air Conditioning! Also beds were too firm for my liking.

4.5 Okay
Pros: The hotel was clean. The room was expensive and they ended up charging us additional fees for the use of the beach and an extra 30.00 for, I'm not sure of, maid service? Also the inconvenience of a deposit, (didn't get it back until 4 days later)even tho the room had been paid for a week ahead of time. Very disappointed that they were that money hungry. Slept there only. Didn't spend any time on beach
Cons: :( Very misleading
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect and the room very comfortable
Cons: We were there to ski 1 day and have the timing all planned out. At first we were disappointed that the free breakfast didn't start until 8, but then we figured we would change things around a bit and we could still eat before we got to the ski resort by 9:00 am. It was an issue when it wasn't open at 8, even though I called the lobby the night before to confirm I had the time right. We waited until 8:15 and the office still wasn't open, and we didn't see any movement inside, so we let for the ski resort. Of course for me, it was no big deal, but my boyfriend (who needs to eat before any activity) was pissed and luckily I was able to keep it from being a big fight. Nothing worse on a get away than a pouty boyfriend lol.....
10.0 Excellent

2.8 Mediocre
Pros: They are close to city center
Cons: They require you check in by 6PM and that you call in if you plan to turn up late. I called couple days ahead and no one picks up the phone and nor does it have a VM. After multiple failed attempts i get there only to find the office closed and even after calling the emergency # provided outside the door, no one responds. It was busy. I had the Expedia team also call them before rebooking but even they were not able to reach. The place is very dark, practically unlit so if you book here get there in day time. The place is a residential community that is being leased so beware you are on your own if you check in even during emergencies. Not sure how the place was rated so high. Maybe the residents / owners are adding to the review?
5.4 Okay
Pros: Great location.
Cons: Tired facility. Thermostat did not seem to work....could not cool the unit down in the dead of winter. Basics like shampoo and lotion not included.

Pros: It was a pretty place across the lake. The staff was very helpful. It was nice that the facility had grills for you to cook on which saved us some money from going to restaurants.
7.0 Good
Pros: Great location and fantastic price point.
Cons: Awful WiFi, which was a requirement to have for my job. Also, no water in the pool or hot tub. No views from my deck as promised, room was cleaned, but bathroom was skipped entirely. Despite this, I'd stay again with lower expectations.
5.0 Okay
Pros: proximity to lake, nothing else...
Cons: Less than basic accommodation for the high price paid - thin walls so noisy neighbours, no working coffee-tea machine, no cutlery, no wine/beer glasses, just a small fridge...
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Rommie
Cons: Bait traps, mouse.
8.3 Excellent
Cons: Daily room cleaning was only completed upon request made at 3:30 pm
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the room and staff. We , unfortunately, did not utilize all of the recreational supplies available ie. bikes, kayaks, beach chairs. It was nice to know they were there and had there been more time I would have loved to use them. Staff was amazing and helpful and always had nice refreshments available in the office. I walked to north Tahoe vista to hike everyday and this was very close and made it a convenient hike.
Cons: I didn’t like having to cross a major road to reach the beach. Very small bathroom.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good location and clean rooms and property
Cons: A little pricey and the pillows were bad
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Was a great place for family of all ages.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cozy cottage like setting, quiet private room. Nice patio areas with tables & BBQ's.
7.0 Good
Pros: Close to nearby wedding venue and our kids and grandkids who rented a house. They also offered complimentary kayak and paddleboards to take out on the lake.
Cons: Facility is a little tired - clean and functional but we also had to climb stairs which we didn't realize when we booked. Parking was also a little dicey - trying to parallel park on uneven surfaces.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It wasn't really breakfast, it was a muffin and coffee or tea.
Cons: A little overpriced.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Loved the room and the patio area.
Cons: No AC or ironing board for business traveler.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was nice! The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was great with a large shower and jet tub. There were comfortable robes and an extra blanket on the bed.
Cons: Some of the light bulbs could have been a bit brighter. The hook on the wall for a towel or robe was not attached to the wall very well, and the hook to hold the bathroom curtain was also very loose. The curtain rod came apart when I pulled the curtain open. The ceiling started dripping in the middle of the night. Check in was in the casino which was not attached to the rooms at the Border House.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were cozy and well appointed.

2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Good location, free parking. Some of newer rooms looked nice from what I could see. Our friends had older 1 bed bedroom which was nice, bathroom upgraded. Affordable for Lake Tahoe.
Cons: Older hotel that has been neglected Our room was a suite with two rooms. Has been been neglected. Windows DO NOT LOCK, no AC just fans. Wall paper dingy, windows dirty, mirrors smeary, new carpet would be a plus, smelled old.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: N/a
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This is a perfect spot for people who just need a bed and a shower.
2.8 Mediocre
Pros: Bed was fine.
Cons: Walls were filthy. Dark brown bathroom paint did not hide stains. Desk had wood veneer peeled off. Room heater was an in the wall fan that was bent so it made a hellacious noise. Tough on a winter night. All the makings of a cheap motel, except this one was expensive.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: I liked the hot tub. I liked that the office called us as soon as we checked in to make sure the room was satisfactory. I liked the shower and mini fridge that was in our room.
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: Dirtiest room I have ever stayed add, the room had a wired smell. The room we were given was not the room we booked but they said it was what they had and everything around us was fully booked. Overall this was a very unpleasant experience. Will not recommend this place.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly helpful manager. Close in to attractions. Good amenities.
Cons: Stevenson's is a 40's ish motel and the furniture appears 50's. But it is very well located in walking distance from attractions, e.g. the beach, restaurants and gas stations. The bed was comfortable. No frills. The manager was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Also had been there long enough to give good directions and recommendations for eats. Jason's Lakeside Grill was recommend and it was excellent. Would stay there again.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location was good.
Cons: Sheets were dirty. Needs a lot of updated work. Pool was dirty.
7.5 Good
Pros: Rooms are good size and comfortable, good location and great value.
Cons: The shower had sand in the bottom, a clump of hair on the wall and mold (that was easily removed with a little scrub) leading me to believe it hadn’t been properly cleaned in some time. Very dusty.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Crest, friendly staff. Exc. location. Large room.
Cons: Was not aware that pool was closed. Pocket door to batheoom needs to be repaired, as it is not functional as is.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect value for the area. Access to anything you need for instant vacation needs.
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Holiday House in Tahoe Vista, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Northstar California Resort and Agate Bay.
7.3 Good
Pros: Lakeside with view of Tahoe Lake from the balcony and the front room. Fantastic hostess/owner who also teaches (and rents) paddle boarding and wind surfing. Within walking distance of lakeside dining. Close to Incline and small casino. Full kitchenette makes it perfect for week long stays and extra pull down bed makes suite big enough for family trips. View on a moonlit night make the balcony alone perfect for the romantic getaway for my girlfriend's birthday. Can't say enough. Would go back for the view, location and the friendly smiling owner, even in inclement weather.
Cons: Could use some upgrades of furniture, but this is small compared to the view.
7.7 Good
Pros: The location and the view on the lake, not to forget the very friendly owner.

Tahoe North Shore Lodge - Carnelian Bay - Building

6.9 Good (64 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Carnelian Bay, Tahoe North Shore Lodge is on a lake, within a 5-minute drive of Agate Bay and North Tahoe Marina. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
6.8 Good
Pros: Basic, clean, convenient place to stay. Definitely a budget kind of place, but not bad.
Cons: Mattress felt like springs were all worn out. Shower was just the corner of the bathroom, no enclosure, with a plastic curtain. Whole place looks pretty tired. But you get what you pay for.
4.8 Okay
Pros: WAS CLOSE TO WHERE I NEEDED TO BE . ALSO ONLY PLACE WITH VACANCY AT LAST MINUTE
Cons: kitchennete deluxe' not . No oven. Stains on coffee pot, did not really want to sleep in bed the linens could use to be replaced. Does not look like anything has been upgraded since the 50"s Definitely would not return and wonder if there were bed bugs?
6.5 Good
Pros: The location is great! Across the street from the beach and a nice restaurant! Hard to beat the location at any price
Cons: This is a small motel that appears family run. The owner was friendly enough but the place has the feel of not being occupied very often. The buildings are old (which isn’t a big deal on their own) but the upkeep has been so so. The unit we had was a little dirty but it was more the kind of dirty you see from being empty for a long time as opposed to not being cleaned. Over all it was not a terrible place but if you are a clean freak you may want to pass
7.4 Good
Pros: The place was nice, clean, good value. Had all the things we needed on the inside.
Cons: There were no direction on where in the complex the unit was located. The numbers on the side of the unit building was blocked by a satellite dish. The unit itself had no number. We arrived late at night and had a very hard time finding the unit. The street light outside was also burnt out so entry was dark. I felt like a burglar trying my key in the lock to see if I was even at the correct door.
