Pros: We left for the airport before breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely complex of separate pavilions in an intimate garden. Good location close to Zocalo.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was excellent. Irma is a great host. The staff was very nice and helpfull. We enjoyed our time at Casa del Maya.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is absolutely lovely. We used the lounge area and the pool a few times to relax after long hot days of sightseeing. The beds and linens were very comfortable. I loved the rainfall shower. Breakfast was delicious every day! And the staff were always conscious of dietary restrictions, which is a huge plus. But what stands out is how helpful and friendly the staff is. Santiago helped us so much getting around and even helped us book a car to get to Chichén-Itzá, after we realized all the tours were sold out.
Cons: The lobby can get a bit hot and stuffy, but we only spent minimal time there, so it wasn’t really an issue.
7.1 Good
Pros: Staff
Cons: Mosquito. They provided mosquito killer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very charming and nice hotel in the middle of Mérida. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Delicious, freshly prepared breakfast was served every morning. Rooms are very clean and comfortable.

Pros: We stayed in the room in front of the swimming pool. It was clean, the property is very nice and the breakfast is delicious. The team is very welcoming. We had a very nice stay. Thanks very much. Sarah & Florian
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Greeted by Jordy and Steve - they insisted on taking our bags to the room (and when we left, they insisted on taking the bags back to the front door). Rooms are newly redecorated and nicely furnished. WiFi throughout facility Breakfast is excellent. Jody makes some delicious homemade cinnamon rolls. The main dish always has some local flavor. Plenty of places to relax (siesta) in the afternoon While pool is too small to do laps, it is very clean and personal
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Santiago, the owner was super friendly and helpful for activity plannings. Really nice Appartments Hidden in Merida.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and sooo clean. Breakfast nice overlooking the beautiful pool. The one lunch I had was very tasty and well presented. These guys also do cooking classes so make sure to book one! Large room had its own terrace which was a bonus. Next time I'm in Merida, this is where I'll stay :0)
Cons: Only tiny flaw could be no lock on the inside of the room door. Not essential of course and didn't bother me. I know Merida is super safe for Mexico but you never know!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Rita Jan take care of you like a five-star hotel. Great hosts ! How lovely this hotel is in the Central District of Merida. Comfortable spacious and delicious food with personal chefs. Perfectly manicured and clean. I love this little hotel. A delicious breakfast included. Wonderful fish for dinner. Chef Jacob and David do a great job. Rita helped arrange a personal driver so we could stop at the ruins of Chichen Itza and tour then a cenote to swim , a stop for lunch and continue on to Cozumel ferry by 5 pm in the same day $240 total what a timesaver! Very helpful people. Seconded visit here it’s great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay in this hotel was definitely too short, the location is perfect, the staff very nice, and the food excellent. Very close to the main touristic spots in the city and best breakfast so far. I really recommend this location
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Host was extremely welcoming, warm genuine & very helpful & informative about local sights, restaurants & tourist attractions. The accommodation was absolutely spotless, great ambience, fantastic food. I cannot rate this place highly enough. I have travelled alot & it is unusual for me not to find some niggles with higher end hotels. If you stop here you will love this place!!
Cons: Nothing regarding the hotel. It was fantastic. My only preference if i was to be extremely fussy would be a slightly closer location to the main square (10 mins walk).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Out of all the hotels we stayed during our 18 day trip in Mexico, we felt the most relaxed and comfortable at this hotel. Not only it provides all the hotel functions to our full satisfaction with strong wifi even in the room, spacious room, comfortable bed, strong shower, and a much welcomed swimming pool after a day out in the Yucatan heat and power outlets at all the places needed (an often overlooked feature) it was the only hotel we stayed that had power outlets by each bed side without us having to fight over for phone charging. What's more is that while with all the comfort and privacy from staying at a hotel, we felt the care and warmth of the hotel owners as if we were staying with a good friend. They thought about our needs before we were even aware of such needs, such as reminding and giving us water on our way out marching in the midday sun, packed towels for our swimming in the cenote before we even thought about bringing towels! Last but not the least, we enjoyed the chats with other guests at the hotel over a free beer at the happy hour in the evening. We were very pleased that we chose this hotel.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Genuinely lovely hosts; They took their time at the reception to make us familiar with all the important things that the province (!) can offer; they helped us book a diving session in the cenotes, which was simply incredible; they recommended really nice restaurants; breakfast was simply incredible and also the food was delicious (especially the desserts); they helped us out with an electricity socket adapter; the rooms were spacious and clean; the pool was lovely; we especially enjoyed the social hour
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location, the staff were fantastic! Bed was large and very comfortable and they couldn’t do enough to help us. We left early on the last day and they made us breakfast to take with us. Fantastic service all round, thank you

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very beautiful and in a great location in the city. The rooms were very large and spacious and the building of the hotel was really special.
Cons: No coffee or coffee machine in the rooms and no room service before 7h00 AM.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is truly a colonial mansion right in Centro. Great location and excellent facilities including an excellent restaurant. The staff is beyond solicitous and helpful, especially William.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were there for my wife's 50th birthday. The hotel staff was spectacular in helping me organize some surprises for her on her special day. They were also helpful in organizing private tours to the ruins and areas around Merida. The hotel is perfectly located a block off the main plaza and in the heart of the up and coming restaurant area and maybe a 15 minute walk to the Paseo Montejo. If you want to experience the feel of one of the old Merida homes, this would be a good option.

Pros: We were given a warm welcome, lots of good suggestions for places to eat and go. The decor was pretty and homely. The breakfast was delicious fruit, the staff were very amenable and prepared us some omelettes.
Cons: Sometimes I could not connect to the wifi from the bedroom.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We had an amazing stay at casa flor de Mayo, Matthew went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay! He had amazing tips for restaurants in Merida (make sure to go to Micaela Mar y Leña!) but also for surrounding sightseeing. Breakfast was amazing too!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully decorated, with attention to detail. Very friendly owner and super helpful staff. Lovely breakfast. Well maintained little garden and pool.
Cons: Not much really... The hotel is near a very nice area, but is not located on the nicest street. Though it did not bother is, there is only 1 TV in a common room, so if there are many guests, you may have to share :-)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff, beautiful building, superb breakfast; basically all you’d expect from a good boutique hotel.
Cons: Blinds could have been a bit thicker!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Matt and the staff were very helpful to our large group of mixed ages in all aspects and looked after us very well during our 2 night stay. Everyone loved the whole place including the ambience, lovely Mexican décor and the rooms, as well as the pool. Very highly recommended.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice stuff!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect in Hotel Boutique Casa Flor de Mayo. The room, the garden, the staff, everything!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely clean and comfortable house. Very welcoming and helpful staff members. Beautifully decorated and well designed house. A clearly very talented gardener looks after the plants and flowers here. Amazing place to stay when in Merida.
Cons: The collective kitchen was missing some key elements to prepare a meal.
Overview Reviews
Magical walkways of gracefully cut flower arches and dirt pathways welcome you to Hacienda San Jose. Exquisite colors pop at every corner of the hacienda, making days brighter and nights more mysterious against the flickering of candles.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast excellent. Setting was beautiful but it is in the middle of nowhere. You need a car to get there or anywhere from it.
7.9 Good
Cons: Food very disappointing Not as good as the school food!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming and well preserved hacienda with amazing garden. The staff is just amazing, they anticipate your needs and are very kind and friendly, definitly recommend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous property, calm, beautiful, relaxing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This ex-hacienda is located in the middle of nature, abt 30 km away from Mérida, Yucatan. The place is quite spectacular and was beautifully restored. In the library, aside the chapel, there are photos of the former state of the place, and the restauration is breathtaking. We were there at the end of May, and there were very few clients, so the place was extremely quiet. Our "casita" reproduced a mayan house, but with plenty of room, air-conditioning, and a hanging bed (that was a first for us). A corridor joined the room to another casita including bathroom and closet. Outside, a small sitting pond could be filled and lit with candles, on-demand. Spectacular swimming pool. The staff were all very kind. Prices are on the high side, but the place is worth every peso. It was really a marvellous 2-day stay.
Cons: In our opinion two things could be improved: - The wifi in the room was terrible, pratically useless. - The restaurant is not bad but not at the level of the place.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The gardens, the atmosphere, the pool, the quiet environment.
Cons: The drive there and if you stay many nights the menue could become a bit boring.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful if remote location, friendly staff and clean facilities in a superb historical setting
Cons: Nothing really
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing Hacienda full of beautiful nature and excellent service at any time from Check-in, breakfast, diner to check-out.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The entire ambience of hotel Hacienda was a journey through time. An extremely relaxing and UNIQUE experience!

Pros: Small (12 units) hotel managed by its owner and lovely wife. Their attention to detail and commitment to provide top service is obvious. Close to the Centro but far enough to avoid the tourist traffic and noise. The sit down breakfast is delicious and a varied choice is provided. The only warning is that the bath is upstairs (loft) which may be inconvenient to someone with a disability.
Cons: Perfect. We are coming back.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was good. The hotel has a water dispenser which was great if you want to be considerate of the environment. It's better than having to buy water bottles each day!
Cons: Breakfast was served on my first day but wasn't on the second and I'm not sure why.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This Boutique Hotel is very beautiful. Is very well decorated has it shows in the pictures. All the decoration is very beautiful.
Cons: The breakfast could be improved. You need to choose between one type of eggs out of 4. 3 pieces of watermelon and 3 slices of papaya. Juice and coffee.
7.5 Good
Pros: Lovely interior courtyard, located not too far from the centre of Merida
Cons: Room was a bit simple and no window! Merida is a bit lacking as a city but then this is not hotel fault.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: A perfect hacienda retreat. Romantic, quiet, elegant, gracious. The food was very good and the dining experience a treat. Very gracious service.
Cons: If one were to nit pick, the pool area was not serviced quite as frequently as it should have been. Pool towels were a bit difficult to come by. A house phone at the pool would be welcome. Some of the public toilets scattered on the property were not up to par. Not an issue around the restaurant.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was beautiful!! Like a dream. It was clean in general. The service was good but slow. But considering they are yucas. It's expected. The food it's good but it could be better.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This hotel has a main building, which is the restored old hacienda, and smaller hacienda-type houses with two levels and one apartment on each level. The houses and the apartments are very nice and create a very genuine hacienda-feeling. The garden of the hotel is like a botanical garden - it is wonderful! Plenty of birds and even one cuati called Simona which is the house animal (it is sooooo cute!!). The restaurant in the main building is very nice and serves great food. If you have a (rental) car, you can park at the hotel. All the staff at the hotel were very helpful with all our requests. They were also very kind. This is a great hotel with unique atmosphere snd we can heartily recommend it!
Cons: The only thing we would suggest to the management is to arrange that the two pools get cleaned more regularly and more thoroughly. We wanted to go swimming during our stay but gave it up because the pools didn't look clean.

Pros: It is beautifully maintained building. The road on the Main Street isn’t that great but once you get in, it’s quiet and chilled place. The breakfast was amazing and huge volume, and staff were very helpful to meet my requests. My room was massive, but seating ideas might be required for more than 2 travelers. The internet worked perfectly, and enough pressure of the hot water.
Cons: It’s a bit off from the main square, and particularly the first 2 blocks to the center were sort of deserted and I worried a bit to walk back in the evening. It was probably the off season but the pool wasn’t maintained.

Pros: Loved the room service/maids. They go above and beyond to keep the room clean and tidy and put things away niceley.
Cons: Staff were rude and had conversations with each other while we were trying to talk to them. Very unprofessional especially Cesar.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice, clean and quiet hotel with excellent service. The included breakfast is plentiful with a large variety of hot and cold foods. There are a couple of restaurants about 1 block away, and there are two large shopping malls with food courts within a 10-15 minute walk. The Mundo Maya Museum is about 3-4 blocks away.
Cons: It's a very long way from the downtown so if you don't have your own transportation, it's difficult to get around. The big problem was that my son became very ill on arrival and we were stuck in the hotel which has a very limited menu (4 entrees only). It was also a long way from any hospital.

This Merida luxury hotel is also well placed to explore the area’s fascinating heritage, including Uxmal and the ancient Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza.
6.3 Good
Pros: Easy to find in Merida and convenient to park - decent size, clean and quiet hotel room with a comfortable king-size bed.
Cons: Highly unprofessional staff which is really uncommon and even quite shocking for the Intercontinental Brand. We did not feel welcomed in any way ; on the contrary. As the most striking example : the fridge/mini-bar in the room is locked with a key which they did not provide us with - only until after a deposit of 1,000 peso was made (!?). Because this experience in Merida was so disappointing, we decided NOT to stay in the Intercontinental Hotel in Cancun (which had been our original plan). I would advise Intercontinental to train the staff in client-friendliness
6.2 Good
Pros: Location, quietness
Cons: Bathroom, a/c, concierge service, quality
7.5 Good
Pros: Location was good
Cons: Lobby is not beautiful and it was full of big “art objects” occupying the space
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The property is great, very clean, great location, anazing rooms, amazing breakfast. All the staff members are very helpful, always there to help you!
Cons: However, not all the staff members speak a good English. Some of them find it difficult to explain even simple things.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome hotel. Like staying in a museum.
Cons: No fridge in room unless you unlocked mini bar.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It is a luxury hotel with plenty of additional services and amenities at (close to) Mexican prices. The location of it is very convenient, right at the beginning of one main street with lots of cafes and eateries, leading into historic Merida.
Cons: The swimming pool area was a bit of a disappointment. It is a very small deck with like 6 loungers crammed right between the hotel wings. No sun reaches there at any time and having two people on the deck already feels crowded so don't count on using it. Also, the WiFi signal was strong everywhere but the connection was inconsistent, constantly cutting out for short periods of time. Checking mail and messaging was fine, but not good at all for VoIP calls or god forbid, streaming.
6.2 Good
Pros: Location, easy check-in, check-out, breakfast buffet
Cons: Bathroom design, surroundings outside window
6.3 Good
Pros: THE BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENT. THE HOTEL IS WELL LOCATED. BUT THE BUILDING, ELEVATORS, POOL, ROOM SERVICES ARE OLD AND SLOW. THE POOL TOO SMALL AND THE LOBBY BAR TO SMALL ALSO. I WOULD RATHER STAY AT THE FIESTA AMERICANA ONE BLOCK AWAY NEXT TIME AND I AM AN IHG MEMBER.
Cons: THE ROOM TOO LOUSY, IT WAS COMMUNICATED WITH THE OTHER ROOM.THE LIGHTING IS OLD. THERE IS NO SERVIBAR SERVICE. AND THE ROOM SERVICE IS TOO SLOW. THE POOL IS TOO SMALL AND A LOT OF CHILDREN FOR SUCH AN SMALL POOL. THE GYMNASIUM IS REALLY RIDICULOUS. ONLY 4 PIECES OF EQUIPMENT AND NO BODY BULIDING AND IT WAS ALWAYS CLOSED AND HOT.

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Location, garden, free parking, breakfast.
Cons: Room was big, but outdated furniture and bathroom very old. Too hot water in shower, floor was totally dirty, ventilation fan wasn’t working, staff was unfriendly and they don’t speak English even a word. For that price they should get you much more. Not value for money at all. 5 stars just on pictures.
