Cons:I was very upset that Kayak advertised the rental as being $8. We reserved the car at this price, and arrived in Cancun to be surprised with a whopping amount of insurance fees which amounted to over $400. If we refused the insurance and used our credit card's insurance for the car, then we had to pay $1300.00 to the rental car company, which obviously made no sense. Absolutely infuriating to be surprised with this tremendous rate differencce, and found ourselves in a position of helplessness last minute. Would never rent again here.
Pros:Friendly and helpful staff.

Cons:DONT EVER RENT HERE, it’s not actually thrifty it’s Hertz and unless you want to get screwed with whatever price they want to give you then don’t book. Also unless you have a $1500 - $6,000 deposit to leave then don’t even bother. Plus your rental will be at least 3 times what you booked for if they even have a car. Basically they’ll just decide whatever they’re going to charge you like roulette.
Pros:Very shady staff that tried to rip us off when we brought back the car.

Cons:The person who gave me the car and the person who received the car at the return were different people, and they saw many of the pre-exiting damages differently and wanted to make me responsible for something I didn’t do, the return was kept in a pending status, I wrote an e-mail to the company and till the day I haven’t gotten an answer on my complaint! The good part is that I have a video that explains everything because this is not the first time this has happened to me with this company!
Pros:Made last minute reservations,literally, while we were standing, waiting at the cancun airport for our other car reservation that never showed. Their shuttle came within 5 minutes and we had a car rented and left the location within half an hour. The car was something ridiculous like .97 a day but mx puts a $16/day mandatory tax on rental.. even still, the agent spoke great English and was able to communicate this all over the phone. We would rent from them again in a heartbeat.
Cons:Beware, the prices you see online are not what you will pay. It seems in Mexico the common practice is to offer the car at an extremely low rental price, but then require mandatory insurance that makes the total a full 10 TIMES the amount. Other friends have had the same experience with different vendors. Be sure to factor that in with your planning. You might be thinking, oh that won't apply to me I'll just deny insurance because I'm already covered via xyz... well I tried that and the no-coverage plan requires an unbelievable non-refundable deposit that ends up be even more expensive than the full coverage.
Pros:People were very friendly and helpful.
Cons:The time to pick up the car was too long. And when we returned the car, it has a little scratch. They charged us 150$. There is not price list for the damages, so you can only trust that the person charging you is fair. I wasn't very happy about that. And they charge twice my credit card! :( what I fixed with my bank afterwards, but still...
