Pros: This was by far one of the most memorable stays on our trip to France- The tree House was spectacular. Cecile and Damien provided us with the most top notch dining experience and wine pairing. The property, hospitality, and the skillfully executed 5 course dinner went above any expectation we may have had-I wish we could come back every year!!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. A personal greeting from Celice as we drove up to the property. An unbelievable location and Celice and Damian are the most wonderful hosts.
Cons: Nothing. Anyone who complains about the size of towels is pedantic and looking to complain. There really is nothing you can find wrong with this place or the staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place was an absolute gem. In a quiet, beautiful location. The chef’s surprise dinner paired with the champagne tasting was one of the best meals we have had. Both staff members were accommodating and provided all you would want for an amazing vacation! Breakfast was also wonderful. Wish I were staying again soon. Loved it!
Cons: Not a thing.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location very close to Notre Dame but on a quiet street with plenty of on street parking close by (€4 per day) and the property is tucked away in a courtyard. Only 3 rooms of which we had 2 and very individually and tastefully decorated. Very clean and well appointed. A fridge stocked with cider and water was a nice touch in the hot weather. Breakfast (continental) was excellent and plentiful. The owner, Myriam, is very friendly and helpful. She wasn’t around when we arrived but she text messaged to check arrival plans and provided entry codes and access to key boxes to allow us to get in. Would definitely recommend .

Cons: Aircon and fridge pretty noisy
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious, well located near centre, nicely appointed, very welcoming hosts, very helpful
Cons: The room is on the ground floor , and the windows open into a courtyard. Privacy much better than if the windows opened onto the street, but if privacy is important to you, you’ll be keeping the blinds down

Pros: Great staff, awesome room and view, perfect to have the real feel of Champagne region, enjoyed a nice dinner with Champagne pairing at the in-house restaurant, we totally recommend it
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We love to visit Chateau de Rilly-la-Montagne because of the terrace, the restaurant and location. However, most of all the professional and friendly staff
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location in the heart of the champagne region. Lovely building. Excellent restaurant. Friendly welcoming staff. Quiet location.
Cons: The room was quite dark and dated. Out of character with the property. The balcony, albeit very large, could have been made so much nicer

Pros: Lovely hotel, wonderfully friendly and competent staff. Excellent dinner and the champagne...well what can I say..the best!!
Cons: Very little
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was buffet style and had a vast selection of foods. The cost was 20 euros per person and although we certainly didn't consume 20 euros of food between the three of us the selection was such that the option was there. The weather was glorious and we took breakfast on the terrace.
Cons: Nothing!!!

Pros: Two areas to take a shower.Full len
Cons: Full length mirror on closet door.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great building with well appointed room with the added bonus of a wonderful restaurant.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Our second visit Both times the staff went out of their way to do everything they could to look after us. Keeping the local taxi drivers honest, collecting a forgotten phone overnight from a restaurant in Epernay- an amazing extra kindness, advice, food requirements etc. Thanks again to all the staff.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: An amazing family room that was immaculately clean and supremely comfortable. A credit to the owners. We recieved such a warm welcome from Nouria and this continued throughout our stay. Nouria had us transfixed with her knowledge of the Champagne industry.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nouria was an extraordinary host. We stayed at her property on the evening of our anniversary and she helped make it such a special evening. Her communication with me prior to our stay was very thorough and helpful. Nouria made the extra effort to procure a dinner reservation for us at the nearby Chateau de Sacy. Our suite was wonderful, comfortable and well furnished. Her gardens are magnificent and are in clear view from her bright and cheerful breakfast room. Her presentation and the quality of her breakfast was amazing. We wish that we could have stayed much longer.
Cons: There was nothing we did not like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nouria, our hostess, exceeded our expectations again. This is our second visit in recent days, and she does everything for you to make your visit special.
Cons: There are no flaws in her courtesy, helpfulness, beautiful home and generosity. I have never experienced a more caring and professional establishment with the feeling of home.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptionally clean and warm host.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We were looking for a quiet getaway as we had visited Reims before. The location is outside city center but close enough to zip to town. (If that is the experience you are wanting.) The room was a amazing suite with high end linens, comfortable US bed, and a spa bathroom. The outdoor hot tub was a plus as well.
Cons: Just minor glitches-having to coordinate return time with owner due to having to be buzzed into secure location can be a chore, being asked to eat snacks in downstairs instead of your own suite, etc. The owner wants you to have a good time but seems to want to control the experience and stay. We like things to be a little less controlled.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Very good breakfast
Cons: Location in a suburban housing erstate
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Suite was a good size with an excellent bathroom.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Spacious & nicely furnished rooms, very comfortable bed; secured parking possibilities; Our hosts Nouria & Joel were very accomodating, friendly & helpful. Our best wishes go to Nouria & Joel Andre.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable and spacious property in a quiet neighbourhood. Recently refitted
Cons: The property is a bit out of the way so will need taxi's / driving
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We came for the women’s World Cup game- USA vs Thailand. Host went above and beyond to accommodate us as the city appeared overwhelmed and unprepared. She went so far as to drive us to the train station this morning as no taxis or Uber’s were available. Breakfast included home baked breads and fresh fruit salad. If you are touring this area for the champagne it would be a perfect place to stay. Host is very knowledgeable and we definitely enjoyed our stay!
La Demeure Des Sacres - Reims - Building
6
9.2 Excellent (141 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in the centre of Reims, La Demeure des Sacres is set in a 20th-Century property and offers boutique-style accommodation with a large garden. Decorated in a contemporary style, all rooms feature a garden or city view, a seating area, flat-screen TV with satellite channels and minibar, while some have a terrace. The en suite bathroom includes a hairdryer and free toiletries. A homemade breakfast is provided each morning in the dining room and homemade snacks are served in the garden or dining room. Restaurants can be found within walking distance. Additional features include an art deco communal living room and free Wi-Fi access throughout. There is a parking 100 metres away, the train station is a 10-minute walk away and Square Colbert Park is 750 metres from the property.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Small quiet property. Beautiful serene garden view during breakfast warm weather. Generous breakfast and attentive host. Authentic and charming property lovingly restored by the host. Modern attractive furniture in the public areas
Cons: If you are looking for all of the conveniences and homogeneity of a big corporate hotel this is not your place. Yes you have to walk up the stairs to your room. It likely is on the 3rd floor. Yes the century old wood floors I. Your room will be a little squeaky when you get up in the Middle of the night to use the bathroom. But for me is an easy trade off in exchange for the charm and serenity of this wonderful oasis.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb location, fantastic room and wonderful host!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location near the Cathedral. Spacious room overlooking the garden. Very welcoming host.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location, loved the breakfast and loved the room and general decor. It's really beautiful and I can imagine the garden is lovely in the middle of summer.
Cons: Just a little noisy. You have the road noise which, if you're used to living in a city then it's not such a problem, but as the building is older and the floors are wooden you hear people walking outside your room and above you, which isn't great when it's in the early hours of the morning.
7.9 Good
Pros: This period house is centrally located on the main street leading to the nearby Cathedral. As all the street parking slots were occupied, we had to carry luggage from the underground €16 p/n car park and this was a little inconvenient after a day-long drive in very hot weather. However, the place was quite welcoming and the garden quite charming
Cons: Better external signage would have enabled us to find the house much more easily. We spent far too long walking, with luggage, up and down the road before we spotted the discreet house sign. I had not anticipated the number of stairs up to our room on the first floor - 33 in total. For the less able-bodied such as myself this could prove a serious drawback. There is no lift, of course. I paid top rate for The Royal Suite which, according to the description, comprises a bedroom with King-Sized bed, a sitting room with convertible settee, bathroom and shower/w.c. I was astonished that the owner demanded an extra €10 per night to make up the settee having paid €275 for the use of the suite. That left a very unsavoury taste and smacks of exploitation. Linen and towels were of a very high standard. It was only as we readied for departure the following morning that we discovered how the Dyson cooling fan worked, that there is a mini-bar and that the floor to the shower becomes dangerously slippery when wet. The rooming show-round was very cursory and obviously missed these items. As might be expected, the bare, wooden floors are very 'creaky'. Sadly, we did not receive value for money and even after a good, but unexceptional breakfast, we were quite relieved to get away and head for home!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Месторасположение
Cons: We stayed in the most expensive rooms of this “5 star hotel”. It is a disaster! Very old, gloomy and shabby. Image and pricing are not adequate at all. I am sure that all positive ratings of 9.2 and recos are made up via fake visitors. Don’t go in this trap.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning French property, amazing comfy bed!
5.8 Okay
Pros: The hotel itself is one of a kind with the rooms located in the rocks.
Cons: The restaurant was closed and that is why you visit (apparently it is on the website, but was not called out until we arrived) No coffee / tea facility in the room, the only thing is a bottle of water (for free) or room service (but this is not mentioned anywhere in the room) Very noisy as it is close to a road, we had to sleep with earplugs. We were told by the staff we should not sleep with the window open, that is why there is a fan in the room. Heavy construction across from the hotel. No access to anything else, you always have to take the car. - see photo’s attached Looks like luxury as defined in another time (toilet with ashtray, bidet etc) Staff not open to feedback, just defensive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was absolutely charming. The host provided excellent recommendations for champagne tasting and the breakfast was a delicious traditional French meal. The location is also great (located across from the Reims cathedral and a 10 min walk from the train station). I would definitely stay here again!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent for the cathedral with overnight parking a few minutes walk away. The welcome and hospitality of the owner was excellent as was cleanliness and the quality of the breakfast. The house has an interesting background and has been refurbished to a high standard by the current owners. The suite we had overlooked the garden at the back of the property and was very quiet. As with most old houses the floors were very squeaky! Bedrooms were on the upper floors and we were on the second floor with quite a few stairs to climb.
Cons: The bedding was lovely but the pillows were just too plump. Even one on its own was too thick for comfort. We each discarded both our pillows and slept on a scrunched up dressing gown!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location, good food at the Restaurant de la Paix, small but well kept pool and sauna, private parking very convenient
Cons: You pay the price of a good location by enduring the city noise
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, good breakfast. Great central location staff excellent.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very conveniently located
Cons: The staff in the bar ignored us and we had to go up and order then they didn’t bring our drinks as too busy chatting to girls at the bar They had to be reminded about the drinks we ordered after a long wait they brought them but without the usual snacks My expensive Mojito was made up of three quarters of ice and lacked liquid It’s a shame that the Brasserie menu was not more extensive in the evening
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Been before love the place location and staff
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location, design and style
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We arrived very early, with lots of luggage and the hotel was hugely accommodating...allowing us immediate access to a similar room which allowed us to relax and really explore the city! Ate at the restaurant on the last night as tired...was excellent!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great Hotel , great location, secure parking. Bar a little expensive
Cons: Bar prices, couldn't find my car key for a few minutes at check out
7.1 Good
Pros: Friendly staff at desk.
Cons: The room is OK for a business traveller staying one night. We had been traveling for two weeks when we checked in (i.e. baggage) and found that the room had no closet, chest of drawers, nor even bathroom hooks for towels etc. If you're coming with one suit and two shirts-- it's fine but not if you're touring...... Also the hotel restaurant was highly recommended to us but we were surprised to find that, after we dropped our bags in our room, that there were no tables available for almost two hours. The staff at the restaurant were pretty "snooty"....
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location great facilities
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Steps away from the fountain and busy pedestrian plaza full of delicious shops, the lux hotel is the perfect Reims basecamp. Wonderful front desk staff. Exceptionally large (by Europian Standards) rooms. Enjoy!
Cons: Public parking across street is NOT 24 hours without gate ticket - front desk staff should have warned us. Also public parking self pay kiosk did accept USA VISA bank cards (I tried them all). Tip - pay inside parking office before returning to your car
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, location, location!
Cons: No room service

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was superb and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The room was clean and charming. DO NOT stay in room 112 above the restaurant and bar. The music (base) pounded till after 1:00am and we did not sleep. We asked to be moved but they were full. We would have given perfect scores if stayed in different room. We will go back!
Cons: The loud pounding music. They DID TRY to accommodate on the second night (we understand it’s their business). Just would have preferred a different room!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good bar and location
Cons: Restaurant menu not great
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Loved mostly everything! The location, decor, bed, use of space, free water and staff were all fantastic. Would def stay here again! and good value for $$
Cons: There was no little toiletries items in the room, moisturiser, shampoo and conditioner. It had a shower soap that was also a hair shampoo and hand wash - I didn't really like that, considering how beautiful everything else was!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good location, simple parking, very helpful staff
Cons: The rea is a little noisy
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was so close to the train! The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. We will stay there again
Cons: I liked everything
8.8 Excellent
Pros: location was close to the train station.
7.5 Good
Cons: I did not like the lack of information on the name change and parking instructions. I was more than annoyed
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Liked the blackout shade on the window
Cons: Beds were not very comfortable
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was really clean and modern. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the beds were comfy.
Cons: The air con was a bit anaemic and there was a very limited room service selection
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice location. Nice lobby. Clean everywhere. Nice lift. Breakfast was excellent. But make sure they charge you properly. Just get the Continental breakfast for 9Euro. We’ll definitely stay here again for a longer stay. Two nights was too short
Cons: Rooms were small. But, what the heck do you expect? It’s France. Still, if you can, ask for a little larger room. But do stay here.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Central location, short walk to the TGV station, lovely clean modern facilities in a historic building and attentive staff - a joy to stay here, well done everyone.
Cons: The laundry service was the only negative as a pair of jeans and one shirt were not returned cleaned and press in a 24 hour period. The hotel may need to find a new provider.

Pros: Breakfast was very good - lot's of choice of good quality food
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent choice of breakfasts
Cons: Would like the ability to make hot drinks in the room. I accept that that we’re available in the foyer, but when you on the 3rd floor that is a long way away.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic stop off en route to the tunnel. Recommended restaurant down the road was perfect for a travelling dinner. Room and breakfast were great. Would stay there again happily.
Cons: Nothing everything, was grand.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location which was great for a stopover. Lovely room, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast.
Cons: Nothing
7.9 Good
Pros: Bright, clean, comfortable. We had a family of 4 in adjoining rooms which worked perfectly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff spoke English and were very friendly. Electric vehicle charging point on site. Beside a light-rail tram stop allowing travel into Reims for shopping/eating. Nicely landscaped grounds.
Cons: Everything happened as expected as we arrived late and left next morning after breakfast.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Arkena is a chain hotel on the affordable end of the spectrum. Having said that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great staff. Always helpful. We ate there both evenings of our stay. Not the usual service at table. Our meals were brought in the equivalent of shallow Kilmer jars. A bit of a shock to begin. But the food was good quality and tasty and cheap. The wine again was cheap at 4€ for 25 cl. Breakfast at 9€ was good value for the money. Hotel on the outskirts of Reims but a tram passes near to the hotel which will take you to the city centre.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and English speaking staff. The hotel is close to a tram station which leads to the city center of Reims (about 20 minutes away by tram). There are not many restaurants close by, but the hotel has partnership agreements with some of them to get discounts. The breakfast is very good, as well.
Cons: It's a little pricey considering that it's quite far from the city center of Reims. However, it's France and prices are high there.

Pros: We loved everything about this property and would highly recommend it to all. It is a piece of paradise that is easily the best accommodation we have had in 5 weeks travelling around europe and the cellar tour is also superb.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely traditional villa in a large garden, sitting over impressive cellars. A great little champagne tour and tasting right there at the villa.
Cons: There was no nearby restaurant for our evening arrival.
7.0 Good
Pros: location, grounds, bed & room Building was nice
Cons: Don’t think staff too warm Too many rules around 6pm arrival , breakfast 8.30-9.30, lick in from door difficult to operate, no after hours contact , hot water was not consistent
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The whole building is very nice, the combination with the tour through the cellars makes it a really cool place to have a stay over. The champagne is fab too.
Cons: All really good. Only thing that the superior room didn't have was a hook to put the showerhead up, so you could only have a bath, but not really a shower
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property, peaceful location and best of all the own brand champagne is some of the best we tried. The living rooms downstairs were a treat to spend time in with family sampling the champagne. Staff were all welcoming and friendly and helpful with suggestions for dinner places and local attractions to see.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely traditional building set in well looked after large garden. Champagne served with breakfast - what's not to like! Tour of the cellar was fascinating.
Cons: On the top floor the wifi signal could have been stronger

Pros: This was the last night of our trip and proved to be the best hotel of the nine we used. A wonderful building, beautiful room and well equipped, modern, en suite. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was outstanding and so well presented. I had a problem with my car, which failed to start due to a dead battery, and without the help of the hotel staff, it would have been much harder for me to get it fixed, as my French is pretty pathetic!
Cons: There was nothing to dislike!
6.7 Good
Cons: Carpet in the room was dirty

Pros: Welcoming and clean
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stayed here before. Great situation for stopping over when travelling through France. Very clean, staff very friendly, comfy beds, great food.
Cons: Nothing
6.3 Good
Pros: Reception staff were helpful. We liked the layout and facilities in general and used them all to some level of enjoyment.
Cons: Non reception staff were unhelpful, from either not serving what was ordered properly or clearing even personal things from the table without asking, despite us being a few meters away from the table at the pool (which was freezing, in 35 degree weather). Another couple was given our room key and entered our room, insisting that we leave, while we were in the middle of showering (very unpleasant people). Clearly the room was double booked, so we insisted that they please return to reception. Our key card stopped working thereafter as we needed to keep going back to reception whenever we left the room day and night for a key reprogram (which they kept blaming on it being near a mobile, but we kept it in different pockets).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location Complimentary water
7.5 Good
Pros: Conveniently located for my onward trip.
Cons: Usual clinical appearance that all Novotels have.

The bedrooms are always spotlessly clean .
Cons: We liked everything about the hotel .

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Receptionist on duty was very helpful. Room very clean
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lots and lots of restaurants right outside plenty to choose from 5 mins from motorway
Cons: No bar
9.2 Excellent
Pros: For one night it was a very easy option, straight off the motorway on the way to Calais. Plenty of options for food around. Room was basic in furniture but spotless. We would stay again if traveling though.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It’s incredibly conveniently located for an overnight stay on the way back to England - just off the A26. The reception staff were delightful. The room was actually surprisingly large, the bed comfy and the shower modern and efficient with a lot more room than in many much more expensive hotels I’ve stayed in.
Cons: It was odd having the sink in a corner of the bedroom rather than in with the toilet. Not a problem but just odd!
6.7 Good
Pros: The breakfast was satisfactory and well worth the price! The location was very convenient for a swift continuation of travel through France.
Cons: Lipstick smears on the sink, make-up stains on the bed-sheets and an uncomfortable mattress.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Service ,clean, and very easy to grab a bit to eat in a number of restaurants worth the money and breakfast is very good
Cons: Friendly staff and in very good locations by all restaurants perfect plus bowling
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is conveniently located on the edge of Reims. It provides all you need for an overnight stay, although the accommodation is simple. We were able to find a place to eat at one of the restaurant chains adjacent to the hotel. Breakfast was good value and all we needed. The staff were helpful.
7.5 Good
Pros: Does what it says on the tin! Budget property, clean rooms. Option for buffet style breakfast. Free Parking onsite. Approx 2hr 30 from Calais if using as a stopover. Lots of restaurants around as the hotel is based on a leisure park so there is a cinema, bowling and various restaurants.
Cons: Arrived late and the Carpark is locked so you have to go in to reception and book in before the gate is opened. Be mindful that although the toilet and shower are in the room the toilet is separate to the shower and the shower is separated from the main bedroom by a partially obscured glass door.

Pros: The breakfast was an excellent value and had a variety of food and beverages choices. The bed was extremely comfortable and the apartment, although very compact, had everything that we needed and more. Very clean room and bathroom had fluffy towells. The staff were polite and everything was easy. WE walked to the Cathedral and it took 10 minutes. You will need a map as the roads change names freqiently but easy once you get the hang of it. It we return to Reims we would definitely stay there. It is a 20 minute walk to the town center.
Cons: We could have used one more bedside table but we made due with a chair.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very close to the city center. It has a little supermarket just next doors that opens between 7:30 and 20:00. The room has a kitchen, so you can prepare your own food bought in the supermarket and feel at home. The kitchen is well equiped. The room is ok in size and the bed is very comfortable. Most importantly, there is a second door in between the entrance of your room and the part where you sleep, which ensures that no sound will disturb your rest. The bathroom is quite big and the shower water reaches quickly the right temperature. The lady at the welcome desk was very nice and helpful.
Cons: The kitchen could be a little cleaner. At first sight it looks clean, but when you take a closer look at the shelf in the cupboard, you see there is quite some dust on it. I ordered a pizza, which is promoted at being served in 10 minutes max. At the moment of ordering, the lady told me that it would be 20 minutes and finally I got my pizza after 30 minutes. That is just a small thing that could be improved.

Cons: Provide t towels for kitchen equipment

Pros: Easy access to the motorway
Cons: Check-in was a bit of a nightmare. The reception isn't manned 24hrs. The person who put my details on their system got both my booking reference and my name wrong. I ended up having to call the out-of-hours service and then wait in the cold for someone to arrive.

4.6 Okay
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Paper thin walls. Not only could I hear next door on his phone I could hear the other persons replies. I could even hear next doors tap dripping in their bathroom. On arrival, acres of wet washing hanging in the corridors from people who are living in the accommodation. These people also held an al fresco sing song until 10.30pm. It looked and felt like a tired 1970's Butlins block of chalets! I do wish wholeheartedly that I had taken a photo

Cons: Over priced at £91. At £50 it would have been about right
7.5 Good
Pros: Room not ready at 4pm when we arrived for second stay. But the leak on the air conditioning had been repaired since our stay in the same room a week earlier.
