Pros: Truly beautiful, the rooms are exquisite. We were greeted by the owner who showed the facilities including a very modern kitchen, breakfast room and lounge. We requested some restaurant recommendations and our hostess Alexandra made arrangements for us to eat in Tours. The restaurant was excellent and within easy walking distance. She also helped us plan our visit to the Loire Valley.
Cons: We loved every minute and have no hesitation in recommending La Maison Jules. Alexandra and her husband will go out of their way to make your stay a very special one. Breakfast may be taken inside or on the patio. We had a lovely breakfast everything was fresh and beautifully presented. Help is available if you need guidance with your local sightseeing or restaurant recommendations.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Marie is a perfect host. She is kind, smiling, she gives you all the directions and suggestions you need. She has a lovable family and her children are really well-mannered. The rooms were really clean, the bathroom spacious and comfortable and the breakfast has been very good! Everything is homemade by Marie, a real plus :-) The apartment is not exactly center located but considering that the Tours center is really cahotic this has been an advantage for us. She speaks either English or Italian
Cons: Maybe I'd add the air conditioning
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property, I was made to feel very welcome by the family, easy on street parking. Short tram ride to central Tours. Excellent breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Marie was amazing-she even walked us to the tram at 7:00 am & gave us breakfast to go. Her home is absolutely beautiful. We stayed in the family room with our 2 adult children & it was perfect.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: in one word fantastic, great breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Marie was a superb host. She was really helpful showing us how to see the highlights of Tours in the short time that we had.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was large, comfortable and clean, the breakfast superb and Marie, our hostess, was very friendly, speaks English well, and was very helpful and parking was right out in front of the property. The property was quite and either a 20 minute walk or a 3 minute tram ride from city center.
Cons: We had a 2 floor walk up to our rooms that wasn't obvious when we booked. 70 year olds don't like that.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Great host fab comfortable beds and a delicious breakfast A great stay thank you
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I can't rave enough about Marie's charming bed and breakfast. She reserved the entire top floor for us, including the spacious main bedroom for my husband and me and an adjoining room for our 13-yo granddaughter. We had the bathroom all to ourselves! Unfortunately for us, we arrived on the first day of Europe's infamous heatwave of 2019. It was so thoughtful of Marie to replace the duvets with cool sheets of real linen to make sleeping a bit more bearable. She also provided fans for each bedroom -- our saving grace on those hot nights when the rooms just wouldn't cool down. Other little touches, such as thick towels and nice bath amenities, made us feel extra special. + Marie's amazing breakfasts were the daily highlight. She set a lovely table with linens and served everything in pretty dishes and pitchers. Breakfast started with juice, a pot of coffee for my husband, a pot of tea for me, and steamed milk and cocoa for our granddaughter. The meal always included jeweled fruit in glass cups, bakery-fresh croissants and sliced baguettes served with butter and homemade jam, plus one special home-baked treat such as Marie's pear-and-chocolate muffins or her warm apple crumble. She also made a goat-cheese and herb spread each day, served with crisp vegetables for something savory. And she prepared a simple but delicious omelet every morning. + Located just north of the Loire River, the B&B is a short 10- or 15-minute walk into historic Tours. There's also a tram into town that's easy to catch from a stop not far from the house. Marie supplied us with cold bottles of water each day and gave us ideas of places to escape from the heat, such as the shaded river walk on the southwest side of the bridge over the Loire. We also took refuge in museums with fans and even found an air-conditioned restaurant! Daily gelato helped too. + Marie is a delightful hostess! You'll also likely meet her sweet, well-behaved children.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely accommodating and friendly Host....very clean and very comfortable accommodation. Superb breakfast. Great location in relation to the town centre.
Cons: Everything was perfect
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very warm welcoming. Very nice people. Very clean. Bedrooms and bathrooms big and convenient. Great breakfast, good variety, warm and familiar. We will repeat !!
Hotel Le Castel Fleuri - Tours - Building
3
9.1 Excellent (1,151 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Le Castel Fleuri in Tours, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Tours Cathedral and Musee des Beaux-Arts. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Quiet friendly and spotless hotel, always stay here
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is close to a bridge over the Loire leading to the old town, restaurants and cathedral. If there is time, well worth investigating. There is a spacious car park at the rear. Our room was sufficiently large, clean, with a very comfortable bed and good sized bathroom with a good shower. There was a small but adequate clothes hanging space and bedside drawers. Breakfast was a lovely cold buffet and, although we were a bit late, no quibbles. The desk staff could not have done more to help us; very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and would return.
Cons: Nothing really. I should just mention that the hotel may be hard to find by car without sat nav. The lady on Google maps was most helpful! There was a distinct smell of drains coming from the shower, a common problem in France we've found. Closing the bathroom door kept it from the bedroom though.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The owners/staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful
Cons: The directions to find the hotel need to be more explicit
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were very happy with the room, very clean, location and breakfast. Thank you very much
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very friendly. Free parking and WiFi. Room and bathroom clean and large. Plentiful breakfast with lots of variety.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The epitomy of good hospitality.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The owners are very very nice, a warm welcome when we arrived. For a little extra pay we had an upgrade to a superior room (room no 20) with a very comfortable bed, a large boxspring which was big enough for us, two tall Dutch people
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Pascal and Zoya, managers, were very most pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Great to be able to park the car in an excellent location close to the river and the town centre at a very reasonable price.
Cons: Less of a dislike and more of a recommendation would be English speaking tv and a little more storage space in the room
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Secure parking for out motorbike, great room with large bathroom, warm and clean. Welcoming hosts with a fabulous breakfast. A 15 minute walk into town over the Wilson bridge to a beautiful town or a visit to the stunning cathedral. Be careful about check in time as do not open until 4 o’clock, not an issue though. Loved the place and we’d go back in a flash.
Cons: Nothing, we go back and wished we had booked for longer.
7.0 Good
Pros: Very friendly staff. Breakfast was Ok.
Cons: Generally, this hotel appears a little tired.

Cons: Non... rien du tout!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: +charm of the hotel in old house, homey atmosphere, warm reception, quiet, clean & confortable room with good bed. good wifi. Simple & tasty breakfast (fresh bread, butter, brioches, croissant, confiture etc). welcoming lady of the house. Parking in front (public).
Cons: I cant think of any this time.
6.3 Good
Pros: Good location
Cons: Breakfast was disappointing and over priced. The smell of smoking was also noticeable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and cleanness. Bed very very comfortable The owner was lovely
Cons: Only sweet breakfast, but this is common in France (and it is true I did not ask for other salted food) WiFi was quite slow
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location (near centre). Good breakfast. Friendly owner.
Cons: The beds were quite hard, but this is personal preference.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very good location with plenty of parking space - one-way roads to negotiate but we found a space nearby without any problem. The property was very pleasant, an old townhouse refurbished to excellent standards. Bedroom was large, bed comfortable. The shower room was small but well-appointed with good water pressure. Both bedroom and bathroom were immaculately clean. Very decent breakfast included in the price (as well and a discount on the car park arranged by the owner). Got a key and the code to the front door so we could come and go as we pleased.
Cons: It was very hot when we went and there was no air-con. There is no lift so people with walking difficulties or heavy luggage may have trouble. Breakfast was only served until 9am so anyone who likes a long lie-in would have to pass on it! Those were very small details for an otherwise very good place to stay overnight.
6.3 Good
Pros: The location suited our business perfectly.
Cons: I asked for off street parking, there was none. Breakfast was poor, coffee weak.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Well placed quiet clean comfortable and within walking distance of all the lovely things in Tours including visits to the magnificent stained glass in the wonderful Gothic Cathedral. Also the old quarter and make a pilgrimage visit to the Basilica of St Martin and to his tomb The 4th century saint is as relevant today as an exemplar of Christian and modern day living as ever. Even though the interior of that church and the crypt isn’t of any great merit the spirit and presence of God is definitely felt. A must see to all these places.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, quiet central location, comfortable, excellent breakfast.
Cons: An extra pillow would have been nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely, quiet hotel tucked down a side street of the fabulous town of Tours. Very close to the cathedral and a great street full of restaurants and a short walk to the station. Owner was very welcoming and kindly served my breakfast early as I had to get a train. Room was very well appointed, with a comfy bed and spotlessly clean bathroom. I slept very well and enjoyed my stay. Recommended.
Cons: Nothing

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully appointed rooms, very friendly and welcoming hosts - literally nothing too much trouble. A very relaxing place to stay, felt like a haven of peace. Hot tub and steam room facilities available at an additional cost. The host made a veritable spread for breakfast for all of our party - totally spoilt for choice and it was yummy :)
Cons: Location was a taxi ride into the centre, not too expensive though - about 9 or 10 euros
7.5 Good
Pros: Individuality. Very different to anywhere else I’ve stayed. Bedroom and en-suite very comfortable. Warm welcome
Cons: The location was the only disappointment- 1.5 miles from the centre of Tours
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We didn't take the breakfast in the hotel, as we planned a Brunch in a restaurant. But as we know, the café, the tea ant some snacks are for free! Furthermore, the hotel is very beautiful, there are not many rooms, and it's quite quiet. We had a very good experience there!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely unique and very inviting. So many nice touches!

Cons: some distance to the center, would be great if there would be fe bikes available
9.6 Excellent

Cons: Be prepared for a bit of a walk into town, but there is a tram available nearby.

Hôtel Colbert Tours - Tours - Building
8
9.0 Excellent (210 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hôtel Colbert Tours, you'll be centrally located in Tours, just a 4-minute walk from Tours Cathedral and 8 minutes by foot from Vinci International Convention Centre. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location, plum in the middle of town in a pedestrian only street. Short term vehicular access for offloading no problem. All amenities and visitor attractions within easy walking distance. Rated 2-star but our room was more than adequate for a short stopover with interesting decor. No a/c but the room was cool enough even though hot outside. Breakfast pretty good for the price. The owner/manager very helpful. Parking in a nearby underground carpark (400m away) at a heavily subsidised price worked well.
Cons: Nothing really, however, on a practical note, probably not the most suitable for someone with a disability.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely host Olivier, he was most hospitable and welcoming.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Basic but very comfortable and secure. Personable owner who spoke excellent English. Good location on pedestrian street with many shops and restaurants.
Cons: No parking onsite, and nearby area is quite congested. For older guests, and those with limited mobility, the lack of an elevator could be a problem.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I and my wife have been here during our Summer 2018 Normandy’s tour. The rate was fair considering the quality of the service. The location is really good in the real center of the town. When we get closer we have to drive through an almost pedestrian area (cars allowed at 20 maximum speed) The private parking is not available but this hotel has a agreement with a big parking lot nearby, thus no really problem for the car The room was really great: I loved it! Nice, big, clean and with a strong worthy. I would definitively suggest this place to any traveler going to Tours
Cons: One single problem: noise during the night. With closed windows no any problem (they can well isolate the room). But we have been here during August and the room was quite hot. During the night was needed to open the window (no air condition) unfortunately in this hotel is a very busy area with many bars, pubs, etc. It was so noisy with people talking, singing, and shouting till late night and also morning.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Colbert is a very nice hidden treasure as it is recently renovated. It had the perfect location, close to the popular bars and restaurants as well as shopping area. At a short distance of the Loire for a nice morning or evening walk. The owners were very friendly people and were flexible to keep our luggage until the afternoon in a separate storage room. Also the breakfast was good value for money. We'll come back!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness,breakfast,room and location
Cons: Not a big issue but underground parking is about 400m away but is free and easy to walk to hotel
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in an excellent location for those who wish to be in the centre of Tours. The street has many varied and good restaurants along it and in was a short walk from the busy cafés of Place Plumereau. Even though we were on a tourist street, our room overlooked the garden so it was quiet at night. Overnight parking was available at 8euros50 per day a short walk away.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were very modern and beautifully decorated. We even had USB outlets in the room, a very nice touch. The manager was friendly and helpful and spoke very good English. Breakfast in the garden was a pleasant experience. This family run hotel really takes good care of their guests. I could not have been happier.
Cons: Access to the garden in the evening wasn't allowed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and pleasant accommodation. Really helpful owner. Great location.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: My Wife and I stayed here in July and I have to say the the hotel and the location was great the comfort of the hotel made the stay a very pleasant one. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and we had lots of helpful advice about the local sights.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts and location were excellent. The breakfast available (additional cost) was convenient, delicious and reasonably priced. The rooms were fine—small, but not unacceptably so.
Cons: The only negative was that the interior walls were thin and we could hear people coming and going, and noise from the rooms.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Near the city center
Cons: The shower curtain create water on the bathroom floor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel in the historic district of Tours is a short walk from Gare de Tours past fountains and a public garden. The nightlife is hopping with cafes and restaurants, but the noise of the street does not penetrate the hotel. It was as if I was the only guest, when really it was full! My exposed beam, garret room was bright, cozy and had a modern bath. Traveling solo, I chose this small comfortable room. A very nice breakfast in a bright dining room served with individual pressed coffee was a great way to start the day. I was able to walk to the tourism office for my castle tour and I’m 71. Be aware that there is no lift, but there is air conditioning. The host was especially helpful the morning I left by telling me the streets were closed for a running event and a taxi would be slower than walking (It was raining). There was a band and many people cheering the runners on. So I left for the train earlier than I had planned.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous hotel. Super clean and well appointed. Stunning location and wonderful staff.
Cons: Nothing.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location within the old town and close to the main square with all the bars and restaurants.
Cons: No parking and can be difficult to find tucked away down a narrow street.
9.0 Excellent

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Located in an historical building in the heart of Tour. Staff very kind and helpful.
Cons: Very tiny room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very quaint and lovely boutique hotel. Great breakfast, best coffee ever, delicious baguette and croissant. The family who runs is super nice and he speaks very good English. But he was so kind and patient, helping me with practicing my French.
Cons: None
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Owners were both very friendly. Check in process for doors at night was thoroughly explained and demonstrated. My room on the top floor was extremely quiet - slept well!
Cons: Request a room that’s not on the top floor if WiFi connection is critical for you. I used the lobby sometimes to send some emails.

Overview Reviews
Hôtel Ronsard is centrally located in Tours, a 4-minute walk from Musee du Compagnonnage and 5 minutes by foot from Tours Cathedral. Featured amenities include multilingual staff and luggage storage.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and had everything you'd expect. Nice breakfast with plenty choice. Good location in town, easier to get to than expected. The hotel receptionist directed us to the Rue Colbert (one block nearer the river) and said to turn right where we'd find plenty restaurants – true, but many were closed and the rest were almost all of Asian or other ethnic cuisines. It's better to turn LEFT on Rue Colbert and walk three or four blocks to the old town square where there were plenty cafes and restaurants and a lively atmosphere.
Cons: The room was small and the bed rather harder than we liked. Otherwise everything was fine
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The welcome from the staff, the location of the hotel and the breakfast was great.
Cons: There was nothing not to like about the lovely hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very welcoming and helpful even though I was only staying one night for short hours with a very early train. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable.
Cons: Nothing really other than no kettle in the room but the very helpful staff member leant me one to use for a late cup of tea.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: There was nothing that we did not like.

Pros: Nice to have a swim after a long drive Foyer is very impressive Nice selection at breakfast Good quality toiletries in the bathroom Lots of good places to eat nearby. We took a short walk and went to a French restaurant next to Chinese one called Mao -sorry I can't remember it's name. Very white decor on the outside and on the corner. Delicious food and very good service
Cons: Drinking water not available in the bedrooms. I was quite surprised that there wasn't any.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Really pleased, lovely hotel, the exterior looks a little austere but don't be put off. Location is perfect, right in the middle of town, 10 minute walk to the old town and lots of good restaurants, brasseries around. Parking was towards the rear of the hotel, we parked out front unloaded and then found our way around the one way system. Staff were lovey and recommended somewhere to eat as we din't fancy the hotel restaurant menu that evening. Breakfast was lovely. Room was large and spotlessly clean, felt like it had recently been upgraded. Spa facilities looked great although we didn't partake.
Cons: Nothing!

Pros: Great central location for sightseeing and open air dining at a multitude of restaurants.
Cons: Hotel restaurant wasn't open on Sunday night. Also walked out of the bar on Saturday night because we got no service. The bartender was having some problems and ran in and out of the bar, ignoring us so after 30 minutes we left, and found another bar down the street. There was another group of people in the bar, with cocktails when we arrived.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location and access to city
Cons: The rooms were basic, no mini bar or TV in English

Pros: Large, clean comfortable rooms with great en-suite bathrooms. Friendly staff.
Cons: Difficult to find the hotel, it's very new, not on sat-nav or Google Maps. When we did eventually see it we couldn't get to it or find the car park. Two intercom conversations and twice walking to the hotel reception we did eventually manage to park the car in their underground car park. In total, finding the hotel and the car park took us an hour. We met another couple having the same problem. Very frustrating.

6.7 Good
Pros: Beautiful grounds. Easy parking for our van.
Cons: Online and on the map given to us at reception it shows the chateau in all it's glory with no indication that the standard accommodation was not in the chateau but another building which to be honest was not to a standard of a 4 star hotel. We felt duped. C'est une blague! Ashame but that's the way it came across.

Pros: Beautiful location. A 15 minute walk downhill into Tours across the bridge and a tram ride (as suggested by the hotel front desk) back. A busy but fun Saturday evening in the old market place. Well appointed rooms and attractive outside dining area.
Cons: Nothing really to say. Maybe an outside swimming pool would be good. Many chateau hotels seem to have them. The indoor spa pool a bit small and the outdoor garden area attached to it also of modest size.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We has a "castle" room which was very comfortable with a king sized bed and high quality bedding. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Complimentary pool, sauna and hammam.

Pros: Very friendly staff. Breakfast was Ok.
Cons: Generally, this hotel appears a little tired.
