Close to markets, restaurants, museums, cultural sites, and waterfront. Great views from every side of hotel. Quick check in and friendly staff. Hotel store with many items. Easy parking. Good room, very clean and comfortable. Recently renovated building--very nicely done. Great breakfast bar and a la carte. Attentive staff in hotel and restaurant. Great value.
Clean, courteous and helpful staff, good location. Would stay there again without hesitation. Highly recommended. Would have been if breakfast, for about $100 a night, was included. There is an option to have breakfast included but the nightly stay would have been more than $100 a night.
I had left my notes book in the hotel in July and I called them to see if they could track it down for me. I did not have any further communication with them, assuming it was lost/discarded, but when I was back in December they had held on to it and I had all my valuable notes back in my hand! I was surprised and impressed, and I will always stay at the hotel while in Veracruz.
I was excited when arriving at this modern new hotel. It's pretty impressionable as you approach the check in desk. I stayed in a regular sized room, nothing fancy other than the beautiful balcony with the pool/ ocean view. The room cost me about $*.00 pesos which is just over $*.US for (2)nights stay and is more likely worth about $*US. I was also shocked when after taking a shower I reached over to grab a towel and it felt like sandpaper rather than the plush high quality kind you'd expect to find at a pricey place like this. Regardless, the service was excellent and the staff was wonderful meeting my every need with the exception of one bar tender that intercepted me at the elevator to tell me he'd not charged me for a drink as he thought I'd left without paying my tab. He had failed to notice that I'd not only paid in full but also left him a 50% tip before running over to me creating a spectacle of himself, it was an embarrassing misunderstanding and I wrote it off as an honest mistake but I did not return there anymore. The hotel has a great private car service which takes you anywhere you like whenever you want. The driver's are on call just outside the lobby and you only need to walk towards the door and say taxi to the doorman and he'll signal them over. The food at both the restaraunt and outside bar was fantastic and the facilities outdoors is immaculately maintained including the beachfront. No trash and no peddlers. Overall I had a good experience but I could have stayed almost a week somewhere else with what this room cost. I did'nt know any better at that time.
Hotel facilities and location are awesome, but what I like the most was the customer service, really nice employees!
I felt welcomed evey day at the hotel. The staff was very helpful by providing instructions to get to where I wanted to visit. Also, they had an excellent breakfast buffet and happy hour. I enjoyed the live music played everyday in the dinning area. The best part was the giant size pool with umbrellas and fress fresh towels. Also, the umbrellas on the private beach. I felt really safe.
We have stayed here on occasion for weekends from Mexico City. The facilities are nice, the people are friendly and it is well located. The size (not too big) helps in not have too much crowding at breakfast or in the pool. I do wish the access to the beach had a little more supervision, some trash had accumulated from the water overnight (just a sock and a bottle, nothing dreadful) and no one picked it up all day. I suppose such few people actually go to the beach it was overlooked. We recommend this hotel.
Location and nice pool. Some towels had like a shoe shine stain, we asked to be changed and were not. One day our room wad made until 4pm. Also the elevators do not have a/c were the city was never below 80 F.
My Wife and I stayed here and it was a good experience. Everyone was friendly however the staff could be a little more attentive. I found that lacking somewhat but overall this was a nice hotel. Its painted pink and all rooms have an ocean view. the food was so-so. I would come again but you may find price steep for area.
Centrally located, clean and spacy rooms Pool was not really up to acceptable level, fitness is really a joke too
Location is excellent, two blocks from our favorite restaurant, within walking distance from shopping district, and right in front of the main square, where most nights there's live music and other spectacles. The staff is excellent, very helpful and friendly. Everything was very clean, even if the rooms are not on par with five star hotels, they were comfortable. The air conditionig equipment, especially, was whisper quiet (i had to put my ear next to the grill to make sure it was working),Location is excellent, two blocks from our favorite restaurant, within walking distance from shopping district, and right in front of the main square, where most nights there's live music and other spectacles. The air conditionig equipment, especially, was whisper quiet (i had to put my ear next to the grill to make sure it was working).the first night we checked in .the first night we checked in Very late, at around 22:30, and were given a "Siberia" room, I guess the only ones available at the time. Room 303 is right next to the water cooling towers, and we spent the night with a horrible fan engine noise. We were so tired we were asleep in no time, but my wife had a hard time sleeping, beng the most sensitive of the group. We asked to be moved in the morning and the reception lady was very apologetic and told us the hotel was full, but she would definitey have a room after check out time. She was good on her word and moved us to aother room, facing the street and high enough that the noise was non-existent. The other thing we found lcking was the internet service. The first night our devices didn't detect any signal at all, so we thought there was no internet access. When i mentioned it the next morning, the front desk lady told us that indeed they had wireless Internet and gave me the password. On the new room we could find the wireless signal and connected right away. Alas, the service turned out to be very slow, almost unusable.
Sanbonrns restaurant in Hotel Weak WiFi
I enjoyed my stay the staff was very polite and attentive and the room was very comfortable. Although the property is not brand new, it was well maintained.
A bit old, but outstanding staff compensate for any aging fixtures. Outstanding pool area and good beach facilities. Food is good and upscale Rosato restaurant is a nice place for an evening meal.
We recommended this hotel for pleasure and business trips!
This hotel was in a quieter neighborhood, not in the "hotel zone". It was nice to be in a residential area, but still close to everything. The location was very central to get to downtown, the beach, boca, and other areas we wanted to visit. The hotel was very clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. One note, most of them do not speak English, but they were very patient with us trying to communicate. The rooms were nice with tile floors and firm beds. There were a couple things we wished we had (fridge, nicer pool), but for the price, this can't be beat! It was a lovely hotel and we enjoyed our stayed. The rooms did not have a fridge, or even an ice bucket. The wall safe did not work. The pool is small and at the front of the property, right by the road. So you hear and see lots of road noise.
Clean, location is good. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. I could feel the springs at the surface of the mattress. The breakfast was not very good and anyone having sexual relations could be heard on the entire floor.
Clean, neat, good service, polite and friendly staff. WIFI. There is a light outside the doors of the rooms in the ceiling of the hallways. Above the door to each room is a frosted glass window. The light creates a glow in the room at night that can be bothersome to some.
good location Airconditinning very noisy. Reception made by "students" , they make 30 min to calculate the price of the room.
Close to the center and Veracruz port. Nice Wiew, clean room, good food.
This is an excellent option to visit Veracruz, near downtown and the beach
I loved the old historical building, which was in fantastic shape. The staff, in general, didn not speak English, but were still very accomodating. I was amazed that it was within walking distance of the downtown area - like 5 minutes. It was also a plus that La Parrochia was located right next door - great for breakfast or a quick cafe leche. I have already recommended the hotel to friends and might return myself.
I picked this hotel close to downtown (centro), which help me to be close to different restaurants and historical buildings. The hotel is clean and affordable, staff was always caring and answering my questions. Swimming pool, restaurant and computer desks, made my stay easy. Although the hotel is in the center of the city, was quiet. Love the decor. My room was next to the pool, clean bathroom and nice and clean sheets, great bed and pillows. Love it!!! I forgot about the free breakfast....I was not told, so I went to the restaurant, instead :(
My biggest problem was that I booked a suite with travel website and got a regular two double bed room . NOT the fault of the hotel. The people at the hotel were very courteous. Some at the front desk did speak some English, Although the night of check in after midnight, we had another guest join us and were told that we had to pay an extra amount,we asked for a reciept and were told it would show up on our checkout statement, then later found out that the guest was included in the pkg deal we had purchased and there was no record of the extra fee paid .So apparently the money got pocketed by that deskman and since there was no record of the transaction, I didn't get that money back. The housekeeping staff was very promt and did a great job.The continental breakfast was okay. I did love the courtyard setting and the pool area.It was very quiet and clean. Was probably one of the most authentic Mexican hotels as far as appearance. I do recommend this hotel, very reasonable price-( just know what your package includes when you go) Tile floors, not the Ritz, but I was comfortable there and would stay again if they get softer beds- hard as the tile floors, they were. But truly, except for the deskman and the bed I was satisfied. Planning on going back next year and very possibly will go there again -just bring my mattress pad!
