The Jacaranda Inn offers restful romantic accommodations at an historic ranch estate on Hawaii's Big Island. Eight rooms and suites are housed in buildings such as former bunkhouses for Parker Ranch ranchhands. Modest plantation style exteriors belie sumptuous interiors. Each room has a comfortable sitting area and a grand bathroom. Along with a three bedroom streamside home the Jacaranda can accommodate up to 22 guests on about a dozen acres. At the heart of the property is the main house which was built in 1897 for the ranch manager.
Beautiful plantation house, but maintenance needy. Nice to see public areas with much history.
Unfortunately, the wicker headboard in room 6 was musty and caused respitory issues with my travel partner.
Beautiful historic house. Nice suite. Plenty of space.
We were not told which rooms we could use and if we could use the pool table, games or books in the main house.
The cleanliness could be a little better, but overall it was an amazing stay.
The setting was very pleasing. The atmosphere was great.
Parking wasn't the most convenient. No refrigerator and no Television.
A romantic old mansion with luxurious decor in the bedrooms - a very peaceful place conveniently located on the outskirts of Waimea. A catered breakfast would be nice, but within a mile we found a great small cafe serving super coffee & food at reasonable prices. Plenty of car parking close by & free wi-fi in the main mansion.
The history and the furnishings we're awesome
No internet connection available, bar permanently closed and no breakfast available at the inn. In need of paint and a thorough cleaning.
