Pros: The atmosphere, cleanliness, we received everything we needed for one night stay.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location to where I was travelling, the feel of the place and the rooms were great, breakfast was lovely
Cons: I arrived at 8.00 pm after a long day and an early start of 6.00 am, all I wanted was to fall into bed and have something simple from room service. The restaurant was very busy and a great atmosphere but I couldn't face a sit down meal..... for weary travellers who stay on business trips it may well be worth adding in a very simplistic room service offering. The receptionist was excellent and asked if I wanted to pick a sandwich/snack and she would deliver it to my room which I thought was superb customer service.

Pros: It was okay.
Cons: Too busy. Not enough staff on duty to cope.

7.5 Good
Pros: Lovely room & great room service
9.3 Excellent
Pros: There isn't much I didn't like, we upgraded our room to a king deluxe from a double and added breakfast for both mornings. The room was clean, comfortable and a very good size, plenty of Pillows and extra blankets if needed, we had air con in our room which was fab as it was a warm weekend. The bathroom had a shower and bath which was great as many only have showers now and toiletries were included. We ate in the restaurant/bar our first night and the food was lovely far better than I'd expected so I'd recommend eating there if your not out and the breakfast was a buffet style with good options, you can also have room service. I would stay again and try and use the spa facilities as we didn't get chance this time.
Cons: I'd definitely ask for a back facing room next time as it can be a little noisy at the front and especially as we were nearly above the reception and I'd of liked a softer mattress as it was a little hard and uncomfortable for me but my partner loved it.
6.8 Good
Pros: Beds, suite, service

Cons: No air conditioning in our room only a dyson fan!
6.8 Good
Pros: The location was great for the concert that we were attending in Warrington. The new bar set up looks great Carol on reception is a shining star in a sky full of total dullards!
Cons: Staff in the bar clueless! They have removed phones and air con from the rooms but nowhere does it tell you this nor how to order room service.... apparently its 'through the app' but if that keeps crashing what do you do, go hungry that's what, because trying to get served at the bar was nigh on impossible. We did move rooms and the lady on reception did her very best to help us but having stayed here many times previously this stay can only be described as shambolic!

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were excellent, very friendly to my son.
Cons: Taxi didn’t show up. The hotel deals with a certain firm, they are useless
6.8 Good
Pros: The decor of the room and the pool
Cons: The reservation system was not very good. I booked through booking.com many months in advance and on the morning of the booking when we were travelling to the venue for a surprise party I had a message to say the room had been cancelled. I rang the hotel, it turned out to be the central booking office for Village Hotels, the lady tried to explain why but I didn't really understand why and I have never had this problem before in the many times I have used booking.com. The lady from.Village Hotels central bookings tried to put me through to the hotel directly but they did not answer and she guessed this was because guest were busy checking out. Luckily after a six hour drive there were spare rooms at the hotel when we arrived.

Pros: The location is quite close to town. The friendliness of staff. The building itself. Nice big bathroom and comfortable bed.
Cons: There was a damp smell in the bedroom. We were facing a busy road so experienced a lot of traffic noise. We opted for a bar meal at the property on the last day. Hunters Chicken was as dry as a bone with soggy, frozen vegetables. Lamb roast was also very dry. Has to ask for a steak knife to cut the meat that was not all edible.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast and very centrally placed.
Cons: Hot water took a long time to come through to the tap-----otherwise everything was fine.
6.8 Good
Pros: Next to train station
Cons: Breakfast was at best average

Pros: Everything
Cons: Car park
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location for the station and very close to town. Good selection of restaurants close by if you'd like something a little more adventurous than the slightly limited but very fairly priced hotel food.
Cons: It's maybe a little tired in parts, but others might just call this charm. My bathroom looked liked it had been recently updated, it was big and airy with very clean towels and free soap / shower gel. Shower left a bit to be desired in terms of power.
6.8 Good
Pros: Very good selection at breakfast & tasty. Staff friendly and accommodating
Cons: Shower gel missing. Carpet cleanliness especially under radiator Bathroom door would be better fitted with a lock. Meals finishing at 8pm was a little early 9pm would of seem more fitting.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good
6.8 Good
Pros: Very near train station and shopping
Cons: Mattress very old and uncomfortable. Very dated

Pros: When we arrived we were given a free drink which was a nice surprise! The couple who owned the pub were lovely and down to earth and made us feel very welcome. The room was just what we needed for one night and it was clean enough.
Cons: The room was very warm and the window didn’t open that far, beds were a little bit on the uncomfy side but apart from that everything was fine.
6.8 Good
Pros: Great value for money
Cons: No working wifi. The fire escape which one has to use to access the rooms when the pub is closed is very rusty & it has holes in the top step. Exposed wires above the light pull in one of the showers,No hot water in my room (no 5). The taps not attached to the basin. The 2 safety issues need immediate action
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location for Gullivers Kingdom visit. Kids loved the garden so much, they want to come and stay again. Emily the host was very friendly and we were given free drinks each. All the noise stopped at 23:00.
Cons: You can't open windows in the rooms. Could do with air con or fan at least. One public toilet had no loo rolls.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I'm a returning visitor... Great spot and all the staff are welcoming.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I came here as I was attending a party local. I sat talking to the landlady and landlord, lovely married couple with 3 children. They were telling me about their plans for the pub and hotel. They have now started to do work to the hotel to update it all etc, they have already put a kitchen And now serve food and the hotel improvements are making a difference already. Can’t wait to come back and see it all finished.
