Staff were friendly and helpful and the place was clean and tidy although the room was warm and i was pleased i stayed on a cold autumn night and not a hot summer one.
convenient location, freindly staff my room was not clean and extremely hot
Very good service No walk-in shower
Convenient location for Liverpool,Manchester,Chester and touring the area, good local pubs nearby especially Ring O Bells. Good leisure facilities. Evening meal in restaurent was poor.
the location was excellant. the quite luxury of the lounges . Food was very good and service from waitresses was first class.A very enjoyable stay. some more local information ie.history etc of the hotel and abbey as reading matter in the public rooms.
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff (in particular the housekeeper). Good breakfast selection. Generally well run Toilet flush inadequate. Windows difficult to close (it was open when we arrived and I had to go outside to close it (room 165)) jacuzzi and poolside shower not operational on the Sunday
Close to Daresbury Labs - anonymous Poor service in the bar. Very mediocre Caesar salad, white wine not sufficiently chilled. Cold fried eggs at breakfast - bacon etc all a bit greasy.
The Staff at the Leisure Club were very helpful. The Hotel room we were given had some serious problems with the radiator pipes which resulted in noisy vibrations which were so loud it was impossible to sleep in the room. We were allocated a new room however customer service was found to be lacking as no one would answer the phone at reception and when we went down in person we were just given another key with no offer of an apology, assistance in moving rooms or a refund.
The staff were very helpful, food great, lots to do and a lovely relaxed atmosphere.
Quick check-in, good location close to town, good facilities Parking limited, limited Sky channels
the room design, cleanliness staff can be more friendly
the food was nice and the whole of the room the staff werent very friendly or approchable, or offer us more drinks
Lack of info about their facilities. The hotel room didn't have any info saying what time breakfast was served or what time checkout was. This would have been useful. They also have a good gym and pool apparently but I couldn't find any info about it in the room.
Excellent hotel , very modern and in a great location . Can be a little noisy at night time but dont let that put you off
It was convenient for our visit to family and an event in the town. Bedside tables are impractical. The poor design made it quite dangerous to stand hot drinks on.
Location to station Being charged to use credit card, Cold foo both at breakfast and dinner Broken fittings in room particularly bathroom
It was noisy. Noise in the pipes and noise from disco downstairs, we were on the lst floor at the back
The hotel was smart and the rooms modern. Staff were generally helpful and the overall feel of the place was friendly. In the morning there was difficulty accommodating everyone for breakfast and we had to wait over 20 minutes to be shown to a table - I was told that this is a regular occurrence so beware if you've got an appointment to keep at a weekend! (Also, bizarrely, the invoice online and the printed copy said the cost was £59 but my card bill showed £61...couldn't quite work this one out!)
Comfortable, clean, friendly and helpful staff, excellent value None
location good very clean no
The easy and straightforward breakfast-time with plenty of papers and selection of foods. The hotel had a party booking the same night as I stayed there. Having driven for some time prior to arrival I was tired and looking forward to a restful night but was kept awake past 1.30 in the morning by the loud music (and I was on the 3rd floor.) Also, the evening meals provided were by room service-only because (in the words of the receptionist) the restaurant wasn't available. Hence, this is why I rated the comfort level during my stay as 'poor'.
Very nice, clean hotel. Easy to find. Arrived after midnight and staff were still friendly.
The comfort and efficiency of staff to respond to queries and they all seemed very cheery. Nothing
Friendly staff and nice lounge. Very clean. Within a short taxi drive of bars and restaurants and twenty minutes from Manchester by train. Would happily recommend.
the colour scheme of the room and the bathroom beds could of had better pillows and more tv channels on the tv
Clean In an industrial estate
its closeness to major motorways the lack of facilities , i.e pool , spa , gym , its seems to be more aimed at the business person rather than the more relaxing stay for couples , I was there with my girlfriend from Scotland and felt that it wasnt the romantic place i thought it was going to be , so on that point alone i would say that were are fairly disapointed with our stay there .
Good service in the lounch. God service in the reception. The room was tidy. The chairs in the restaurans was dirty. The carpets in the hallway falling off. The breakfast was not redy at 6.30 and we where in a hurry.
all fine except rooms dreadfully hot
convienance Food was pricey
Staff were amenable to changing my room 3 times. First two rooms offered very dark and then very noisy next to air con unit. room 3 lovely. Breakfast ok but would prefer free range egg!
comfortable bedroom. Was offered 2 hours free wi-fi, which was a reason for choosing the hotel. But it wasn't working.
Gym Room was hot when I arrived
Modern, friendly, quiet rooms Internet access. Far too expensive in this modern world
The location. Close to motorway but with a peacefull environment. Long wait for dinner but we had not reserved a table in the restaurant. With hind site we would have opted for a bar meal. Would this have quicker service?
I found the hotel spacious, comfortable, clean and the staff professional and friendly. Food was to a good standard. Plenty of car parking spaces close to the hotel, which makes life easier.
The hotel could do a lot more to cater for guests who smoke. They should also ensure that all the advertised facilities are available and alert guests on arrival if there are issues around the provision of certain services.
i liked the luxury i had a relaxing stay would stay again the only thing was i wanted to stay longer there was nothing i didn,t like
the only thing i would say that was good about this hotel was the price we paid, £39. The hotel room was cold, there was no mirrors in the mirror frames, we could hear every car that went past on the very near M6, the bed and pillows were hard and the room just didnt feel as though it had been cleaned, this could be to do with it being christmas day to be fair. if we had paid the full ammount of about £60 for the room then i would have been very unhappy.
Unfortunately, I did not enjoy my stay here at all. Yes, loud music during the early hours and early morning and constant noise from housekeeping which was very unsettling and caused differences betwwen my partner and myself....night was ruined
Staff were very helpful, late checkout fot club members, clean, comfortable and quiet. rooms wers spacious and well equipped Food and drink were expensive as was internet usage
The standard of the room was below that anticipated and did not warrant the price of £99.00 peer night. The hotel acknowledged this and reduced it to £75 which was still too much given the room.
smooth easy transactions
Staff very friendly and attentive, food good quality. None
Quick check-in, polite staff. Room was clean & tidy. Drinks & food too expensive
ideal location very close to M6 great for breaking journey
Spacious, very modern, excellent value for money Bath not clean.breakfast yoghurts sour even though still within date, 2 days running.
stay in many hotels throughout the UK, some very expensive ones where the customer service is almost non existent but the Premier Inn staff were helpful, approachable and above all friendly which means more than all the fancy fittings and gadgets.
Nice large comfy bed My daughter who is 16 and shared a room with us found her bed too small - maybe for older children it would be suitable
Comfortable room, quite location, good food in restaurant
Staff were outstanding. Breakfast in the restaurant was excellent and surprisingly so was the evening meal. No bad points but if Premier Inn ever stretch to a swimming pool this would be great.
When I arrived the charge for the room was £78, however I gave the paper work I downloaded from you which stated £61.After the long delay with the management of the hotel who telephone your office to confirm the price I was charged the £61. In future I will not use your services due to the embarrasment I had to put up with at the reception desk.I do strongly suggest that your communications between hotels are improved.
Clean and tidy Room was not serviced on my third day and no wall grab rails in bathroom
Staff very good as were the resturant staff and menus Place clean and quiet. I had booked a disabled room and although there were steady bars in place in the bathroom there were no faciities to enable me to get into the bath, the bath was low level but there was no means for a disabled person to access the bath without having to lift lower limbs. Surely a walk-in shower with intergal seat or a bath seat/lift could be standard in disabled rooms? Also needed was a seat to enable a disabled ,walking but unable to stand alone, to sit at the hand basin. Your room was good compared to a private hotel I was going to but improvements could be made to encourage semi ambulant guests to take up your hotels more often.
Large room, comfortable bed, staf very helpful. Excellent value for money
Very good nuice people
Very clean and good staff behaviour. Nothing major.
Ease of breakfast bar Comfortable bed Damp in room Poor ventilation for bathroom
the hotel staff was very friendly. and the roon was very clean an comfy.breakfast was very nice with a selection of fruit an cereals aswell.
Food was absolutely excellent. Shower didnt work, curtain rail was broken and so was the handle to 1 of the windows
the staff were very helpful, and the food was of a good standard, so good that I ate there both nights rather than look for anywhere else. it was great to have free wi-fi. thank you the room I had was very small, it was difficult for me to work using my laptop on the desk which was little more than a ledge.
Evening Meal Told breakfast was until 10.00am and found it had finnished at 09.00 am no apology nothing.
Staff service, shower, tv set, buffet breakfast Single bed was too small, no elevator
Staff were all friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and fresh. delicious food. Newly decorated rooms.
As we were visiting family the freedom to come and go was vital and the location was good. Lack of sleep as fellow guests were noisy but they were the ones with Sssh on the doors next morning. The Travel lodges still have biscuits!!!
Hotel is quoet, close to motorway with free parking. Staff was nice and room neat
Clean, comfortable, friendly welcome. Car exit is via an industrial estate, there can be a queque at exit from estate in morning
Very friendly and knowledgable staff. Very comfortable room but quite expensive for a budget hotel. Would expect free wifi for the price
pub restaurant on site was pleasant was a bit further away from Aintree Racecourse than I realised but that was my mistake!
Pleasant stay in a pleasant hotel Restaurant on evening took to long to serve food, would prefer it if hotel clients were kept as clients and not just members of the public, floor arounf the toilet in room 24 was spongy, this is because chipboard was used for the floor instead of plywood
Rooms were excellent, staff very helpful. Rooms were slightly too hot.
comfortable bed and spacious convenient location for my stay ie haydock races. Fast friendly check in.
Rooms are very clean and everything is in good working order The adjacent restaurant/pub (the Swan) had the worst service I have ever experienced, so much so that we had to cancel our order and go elsewhere.
We enjoyed the comfort of the inn, also chatting to staff in the pub who we thought were friendly and helpful no
Quality of rooms and attitude of the staff
staff were very friendly and helpful restaurant could have been cleaner. shower control was tight to operate
friendly staff for some reason our room wasn't cleaned between the two nights
I checked in at around 11pm, and was greeted very courteously. None
Warm, clean and comfortable room. Friendly staff. Well cooked and presented, value for money food, especially the all you can eat breakfast at the adjoining pub.
Very helpful staff. The Swan pub food and breakfast was excellent. Only 20 minutes from Liverpool city centre.
Staff were very freindly and polite, the room was well equiped and the bed was very comfortable. And the beer was cheap and the food was great. No.
Everythink it is a excellent hotel
Good location, safe and good parking, wifi actually works in room compared to a lot of places that say they have wifi. staff friendly and nice bar. Have been numerous time and will be going back when working in area.
Warm friendly welcoming & helpful staff. Uncertain about cleanliness of bedlinen, drafty windows, noisy plumbing otherwise adequate.
Resturant & Bar. Rooms were quiet
I found the htel to be very good value for money. The food was excellent, I have paid twice as much for a steak with pepper sauce and it was no where near as good as the one served at the Paddington, breakfast was also very good. Not about the hotel as such, but I would prefer an all in rate with breakfast included.
Faclities were very good
The breakfast was generous and varied. The bathroom had 5 strands of hair on the floor and the bed was rock hard, very uncomfortable!
The wedding reception we came to attend
Not clean and smelled damp
Availability at a time of high demand and proximity to airport The room was in the middle of being re-decorated, smelled of paint, window was open to try and clear fumes and room had been pressed back into service to take advantage of high demand
friendly helpful receptionist Lift had been broken for a week and still not repaired - we were on the 3rd floor - fortunately we were only staying one night as we were in Hale for a wedding. There was no parking on site. Street parking was payable from 8.00am.
The location. having a beer outside in the sunshine during Happy Hour. Would benefit from revamped bathroom. Better information passing to night staff.(request for early breakfast was not relayed) This happenened during our last stay also.
Great location and excellent value for money. Really nice breakfast and nice touch with the complimentary bottle of wine. Overall making for a very positive experience. Room was not as clean as it might be. Not a problem that the amenities were only basic, but carpet and beds looked like well overdue for replacement.
good allround, simple rooms, everything worked and was clean + near the rail station. one staff member was very irritated when i asked for a receipt after paying cash for an extra night and no internet access afterall, (although local library was geat for that!)
The facilities were poor, needs updating Decor and poor quality food, ate out
My original room was dirty, overheated with stained marked furniture, but the v.v.hot pipes made it impossible to sit, never mind sleep in. The receptionist on duty was v.helpful and managed to get me another room, still hot, but because it had more air coming in I could sleep. The heat from the pipes running through the room was at a dangerous level. I would not have taken a child into those rooms. I had to sleep with only the duvet cover, no duvet. This wasn't during a spell of hot weather!
Quiet rooms with comfortable beds The local car park details in the hotel were out of date and dispite their bochure saying every room had a trouser press I could not find one in room 116
The service was very good and an excellent buffet breakfast was available. The location was also very convenient. It would have been better if there was a private hotel for customers as we had to park in the supermarket car park and there did seem to be a problem with gangs in the vacinity of the hotel. I think this was because it was a Friday night. We have previously visited on a sunday and it was very quiet.
Lovely property - great if you are looking for something a bit different to a hotel. Fabulous location and very relaxing - highly recommended
the cottage was amazing. Totally unique experience, will definitely come back and will tell friends about it. Clean and warm with lots of interesting thingsto look at .
It was absolutely chocolate box meets, four weddings and a funeral and the sumptuous luxury of the mini break in bridget jones' diary. The proximity to London Roads vibrant and cosmopolitan night life more than makes up for any absent room service.
a wonderful hideaway in Alderley Edge, but within walking distance of many restaurants and shopping in the surrounding area. The suite was simply beautiful and the owner (Ian) could not have been more helpful Will be booking again.
Had a wonderful time at Wizard's Thatch. The suite was charming. Will stay longer next time.
The uniqueness of the property and excellent service were both a refreshing change and a great experience.
Spotless, more than one room, fresh flowers, comfortable bed, good tv Not a hotel but self catering rooms ina not a hotel but self catering accommodation in a pprivate house,no staff,no breakfast served, strong unpleasant smell, clutter, needs extra bedside table, poor parking facilities
everything was absolutly amazing and we wil definately be going back at some point. We wish we could live there permamently. Thank you very much!!
The main thing about staying here is it is "different". It feels special and is a treat versus the usual nice hotel! Not really, although it has to be said that the rooms are quite small and cottage-like. The photographs give the impression of a much more spacious layout.
Helpful staff Hotel badly in need of cleaning and redecoration. Walls damp, curtains torn
This is a rundown hotel that hasnt had a penny spent on it in years, carpets threadbare, rooms dirty, generally clapped out
convenient concern (perhaps unfounded) about security of parking
Staff were friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy. Breakfast was good. I considered that it was good value. The hotel could do with some redecoration and entering from the carpark was unimpressive. That said, it was all very clean.
Very noisy at night with doors banging shut
Needs a lick of paint but well located, cheep, bed comfortable, good breakfast, staff pleasent etc It was v cold. They shold be a litle more generous with the heating...
*It was in the town centre where we wanted to be. *Bed linen clean, warm once we had been in bed for a while (see below). *The room was really cold - heating not on - in November! *A re-decoration and refurbishment programme needed. *Bathroom adequate but again too cold, window wouldn't close properly. *Carpets not properly hoovered.
Clean room, good value for money, excellent breakfast Although the bathroom was large, all the bathroom fittings were very old. The shower attachment was very worn & inefficient.
friendly staff, good location
The hotel was well siuated with excellent staff and a good breakfest , plenty of hot water and the rooms were very clean , all in all a decent hotel at a good price ,
Everything was fab The room was far too hot even with the window open, temp turned down and the fan turned on
Friendly staff, clean white bedding Bad nights sleep due to railway directly behind room. Even with window closed.
Many smiling faces 0
