Andaz West Hollywood has a very special place in history as the first hotel built on the Sunset Strip. As the original, the Andaz attracted celebrities of all kinds during the '60s, especially musicians. Today, it keeps its eclectic charm and offers a different kind of aesthetic than the glitz and grandeur of nearby Hollywood and Beverly Hills. The Andaz has remained a singular hotel, with local art up on the walls and trippy, eclectic furniture through both the lobby and individual rooms.
Andaz West Hollywood has several different rooms and suites guests can stay in. The Standard & Deluxe rooms can be reserved with either a two queen or single king setup and come with magnificent views of nearby Los Angeles. Guests can enjoy a fun and stylish bathroom and even a separate sunroom. There are two specials rooms that visitors can book if they want to take their vacation up a notch. The first is the 1,400 square foot penthouse suite with a private balcony as well as separate dining and living areas. The other is the (ANDAZ)RED Suite, where everything from the linens to the furniture is especially high-end. The most notable thing about this room, though, is that 30% of the rate is given to the RED organization to fight AIDS.
Andaz West Hollywood has its own fantastic restaurant on the first floor of the hotel. Riot House has an open-kitchen concept with playful dishes that are meant to delight and inspire patrons. Some of the house favorites on the menu include slow-roast Scottish salmon, Mary's Farm chicken breast and the Riot House burger topped with smoked aioli, bacon, avocado and aged cheddar on a brioche bun.

The hotel is great, however the prices for any food and beverage is really high so we had to limit our spend.
Great hotel, but pricey parking and extremely loud (though they do provide ear plugs)
Spacious room, very friendly staff, excellent value for money.
Pros. Swanky comfortable & clean, great rooftop pool area
Cons. Expensive parking, would’ve liked it to be included in the room rate quote.
Pros. The views are amazing. Bed very comfortable. Free snacks and sodas, nice touch.
Cons. Penthouse is deceiving. It is the top floor, but compared to the lower floors there are NO floor to ceiling windows and you lose about four feet of room space as there is an odd overhang outside the penthouse level.
Pros. Put simply, this is a dumpy hotel with cheap face lifts to the rooms...you are paying for one thing and one thing only, the address of "Sunset Blvd" It's way over priced for the cool factor you actually receive. The visual shots try to make it look like a trendy boutique hotel but the rooms and facilities are lipstick on a pig. I had the same experience at The Standard. The W Beverly Hills or SLS Beverly Hills will give you WAYYYY more cool, hip and chique factor while actually delivering high end facilities, quality rooms, etc
Pros. Liked the lobby, free water and snacks. Great sunset view.
Cons. Rooms were outdated and looked used... not fresh. So much potential.
Pros. Rooftop pool can't be beat, nice rooms, awesome staff, great location. Great time!
Cons. Switched rooms because we had a room next to the elevator, where you can hear the elevator swooshing up and down all day & night. They were great about switching rooms and now we know to request not to have a room ending in "01" on our next visit.
Pros. Really cool hipster vibe
Cons. Staff amazing friendly efficient made me feel very comfortable
