The bar was nice. We also appreciated the microwave and fridge in the room. The staff was unhelpful, not accomodating and lazy. The bed was also very uncomfortable and the room was not very clean. We booked multiple rooms together and under the same name but they put us on opposite ends of the hotel and on different floors
The room with the mini kitchen inside is great The hall way is sometimes stinky but not too bad
Clean. Spacious. Comfortable beds. Shower curtain does not reach the tub. Water on the floor.
breakfast, wifi Floor needs to be more cleaner.
Convenient Just old and worn out
This is not a three star hotel
the room wasn't bad, parking was terrible. The noise level in the lobby when I walked in was crazy. There was a party going on in the banquet hall and the bar was super busy. the receptionist was aggravated (rightly so) because the bar's door was open and smoke was billowing out into the lobby.
The kitchen The fitness room
Location Room was dirty Remote/TV was broke Staff said I didn't have a room choice Lounge/Restaurant opened late which made our dinner late which almost made us late to game.
Very friendly and accommodating staff

Shower maintained hot water. Location, late night noise by kids and poor quality restaurant food.
The staff was good. The property was reasonably clean. The towels soft and the beds comfortable. The microwave and small fridge are a nice convenience. This is a very old property and it shows its age. Odd old smell. There is no elevator. If you travel with heavy suitcases, ask for a first floor, there is no help. The walls are paper thin. You can hear everything in the next room. The A/C conked out for a bit and there are no screens in the windows so opening them was not an option. There is only a front desk clerk, no security; guests run rampant through the halls after leaving the on-site bar. Wedding guests woke us up every half hour while continuing their partying in the hallway. I'll pay more next time and stay at Homewood Suites or Marriott Residence. But if you're not too picky and need to save money, this will be a good fit.
Nobody entered my room while I was sleeping. That's about all I can think of t for the positives... The hall ways smelled like urine. The air conditioner was very loud. I had a room on the front of the building, and the traffic noise was terrible. The walls are very thin, and I could hear everyone's tv while I was trying to sleep (during normal sleeping hours), and I could hear people from nearby smoking rooms coughing loudly all night. Also the smell of smoke was fairly pervasive. I was not expecting the Ritz, just a clean quiet place to sleep. That is all. I was asked upon departure how everything was, and I mentioned to the gentleman at the front desk it was very loud and obnoxious, and he just said "oh, sorry about that, have a nice day".
The proximity to our event and food, gas, etc was fantastic. The staff were amazing, as was breakfast. It was fantastic to have four pillows on a double bed! Not every hotel does that. Clean and comfy linens. Mattresses were on the north side of firm, but I'm a side sleeper and prefer a softer bed, so that's just me. The floors are not level, both first and second floors. The bathroom sloped down so you felt like you were falling when using the facilities.
Clean room, good restaurant in the hotel. The staff was rude, no elevator. They expected me to carry my heavy bags up 2 flights of stairs and did not offer to help. I ended up throwing my back out. Thanks for nothing.
Hotel is accommodating for pets. Price was reasonable. Bed was very comfortable. Was not told about pet rate. Hotel charged my credit card upon arrival and didn't tell me. Location could be better. Route 17 is a nightmare.
Staff was great Near the highway
The swimming pool was rather cold. The breakfast not great. The receptionist told me the phone calls were free as long as I stay in 973 area code, but I was charged $20.
We got in around midnight and there were one or two wedding parties in the hotel lobby / bar area. While we had more than a few drunk people ahead of us (who remarkably waited until AFTER the reception to check in) the guy at the front desk did a good job moving them along even after the mother of the bridge couldn't find her license or remember her name because she was so drunk. We were checked in within a minute once it was our turn and from there it was smooth sailing. During the check in process the managers looked to be just standing around. I'm not sure if they were keeping an eye on things to make sure people didn't get too rowdy but they could have helped move the check in line along. Also a few times we used them the elevators were wonky. The lights wouldn't stay on and the elevator took forever to show up and only then would it show up when people were exiting. Again, not sure if that was the result of rowdy hotel guests screwing around on the elevators or not but something management should have been aware of and working on instead of just standing around.
room was very large with big screen tv. Price of room very good value for money. Hotel was very close to shops. Swimming pool present. There was some misunderstanding about my reservation through booking.com. For instance about inclusion of breakfast in the price
The hotel was quiet and clean. I will recommend to anybody who wants to stay in Essex county. NO
I sent an email to you already advising the rugs and rooms of this hotel stunk really bad and need to be replaced. the room I stayed in I had to spray room freshner consistantly and made it fell unclear and dirty. The rugs and rooms smelled bad. The rugs seem to have been there for about 40 yrs.

the hotel was clean along with the rooms the staff was great
I was very happy with this hotel both the staff and facility met and surpassed my expectations. No
It was beautiful on the outside. I appreciated the way the restaurant was presented and that it offered room service. It was quite easy to access from the road.
Location The hotel was being renovated outside -- everywhere. Terrible parking, very difficult to get around and workman were not paying attention to customer safety. Not a good experience.

Clean hotel, comfortable beds and very quiet. The staff was nice. We stayed 2 nights and I wouldn't have minded if our stay was longer. There aren't many choices in this immediate area, but judging by the looks of the other hotel I saw, this is the best. Our room was at the end of the hotel, so maybe that was the culprit, but the wifi was terrible. It constantly dropped in and out to the point where it was effectively useless. Breakfast was supposed to end at 10:30 and my wife and I got there just before 10 and they had already closed and were setting up for lunch. Ours and the key card of another guest stopped working on the 2nd day, which was a little annoying, but not that big a deal as it was easily reactivated.
Everything.... Was the softest bed ive slept on... Bad for the back.
It was a very comfortable ad pleasant experience. The rooms are modern and very clean.
Desk Staff and Cleaning Staff very helpful Not noted
The man who checked us in was very nice and quick. He was very nice to my young daughter. Especially when he found out it was her first time in a hotel. The young woman who checked us out was also very nice and help and also quick. The entire staff was very and greeted us constantly. They said the wifi was free but when we tried to log on to it with our phones and my daughter's ipad it wouldn't work. When we tried to follow the steps they left in the room to use it, it just kept bringing us to a website to pay for it. Also the restaurant connected to it didn't have much of a kids selection. So we had to go out for dinner. But the breakfast buffet there was very good.
Stayed for the 2014 spartan race. Great accommodation, cleanliness and comfort. Nice size fridge and microwave too. Love that they give you warm choc chip cookies at the check in!! A great choice of hotel.
Overall good experience Air conditioner unit was a bit loud
Staff was exceptionally friendly. We had our two yorkies with us and they were treated so nicely by the staff! It was a pleasure staying at the Homewood Suites - the rooms were so clean and comfortable. N/A
Very nice Hotel Staff :) Very comfort like home...
This is our 4th visit. The staff is very accommodating. Housekeeping is excellent. No complaints
The rooms were cozy and breakfast was great. 1. I requested two rooms for 1 adult and 7 minors. It was specified in the booking it was for 1 adult and 7 minors with their ages listed as 11-13. Yet they did not even attempt to give us two rooms near each other when they processed the booking on their end. We were on opposite ends of the wing. 2. The rooms weren't ready for us to check in at the 3pm check in time they state in their booking and website. Only one room was available. Since other rooms were still awaiting to be cleaned and I had to wait an hour to go up anyway. I convinced them to give me a room closer to the one that was ready, and I just went to the pool for the extra few hours until the 2nd room was ready. 3. Pool and hot tub were dirty, like the walls were brown in areas. There was an excessive amount of chlorine used in the water to kill the dirt instead of shock. I had to open patio doors to keep from passing out from the chlorine fumes.
It was convenient to where we needed to go. We asked the girl at the front desk if the hotel used a specific uber person. She said yes, 20 dollars each way to the local pub. We downloaded and utilized uber ourselves and paid 5 dollars each way.
location and layout of the rooms and access to parking facilities. Toilet overflowed and the bathroom door squeaked loudly...
IF THERE WAS SOMETHING HIGHER THAN A TEN ID PUT IT UP HERE!!!!
I liked how friendly the staff was in helping me to find my way around town.
Gorgeous layout and design, very friendly and accomodating customer service, and incredibly clean and well maintained! Nope. Not a thing. I was extremely impressed.
My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Resident Inn in Saddle River, NJ. First, the area is extremely nice (hey, the gas station acutally pump your gas for you...nice touch). The hotel staff was nice except the front desk supervisor...her customer service skills could use some help. They were a little short of help on Sunday morning and breakfast was a little to picked over. Would recommend!!!!
Close to our destination. The noise level from truck traffic was intense! Sound proofing the rooms would enhance guests stay. The room is overpriced for the quality provided.
Rooms had lots of space closets and mirrors. Nice layout. Walking outside in the new jersey weather to get a cup of milk or coffee for breakfast in the morning is incredibly inconvenient.
Nice clean room. Good comfortable bed. Good looking grounds. The place looks kept up--well taken care of. Eggs at breakfast were not hot or even warm but breakfast was mostly decent. Pool could have been open even though it was May 17. I would have used it. Windows only open 2 inches and I like fresh air.
The hotel was clean, quiet and convenient. The morning breakfast was nice. The bedding for the pull-out couch was mismatched and old. They did not replace our coffee that I used in the room and had to go down to get it from the reception.
Nice Staff, well designed room for an extended stay hotel There were a couple things in the room that weren't particularly well kept, e.g. loose shower curtain rail, broken light bulbs, broken closet sliding door.
The room was nice and pretty quiet and clean. Can't complain. Wifi didn't work at all. Front desk basically shrugged and said it hasn't worked for a long time. Shouldn't advertise free wifi if you don't have it. Also be careful getting to this hotel...you have to be on the service road or you will miss it. Be alert!
We have stayed here several times while visiting our daughter. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable. We were unable to regulate the temperature in our room. The fan was blowing but the thermostat was evidently controlled in a central location. We would have slept better if it had been cooler.
Room was clean and comfortable. The TV, phone, and hair dryer didn't work! Have tried for 2 days to contact the manager, no response.
Nothing. I left the same day. Everrything.
Convenient for shopping & dining. Rooms were small. No closet space. The dresser smelled of food. Bed was squeaky. No carpets which allowed you to hear footsteps from 2nd floor. Picture to view room was misleading
I stayed there in my way to nyc in order to spend some time in Woodbury Outlet. It was a quiet and confortable stay. Very small area for breakfast tough. We had to wait to others to get up and leave a table for us. All the rest was ok.
Bed sheets old, with holes, poor quality, very wrinkled, gray as if they were not washed (or were they? they could have been?, but the quality was so poor that those sheets will never be white again) - bed made non-professional. I asked for new sheets, they have been replaced with a new set that was as bad.
First room I had was dirty, the carpet wet and white powder everywhere, second room had a mess inside with paint, the last one was room 407 and it was bad as well, smell like pain and smoke at the same time Everything
Being attached to Friendly's and close to my family. No heat in the room, confusion by doing this online. A cancellation was not sent to the Inn by you, there were not smoking rooms for the disabled rooms on the lowest floor.
Close to our location Nothing
Our group checked in at 10pm and my family was told we had the last room in the hotel. The bathroom floor was covered in hair, there was dried soap caked to the soap dish and there were black marks on the floor. The room floor had not been vacuumed, there was a bunch of lint, a dead bug and the previous occupant had left some medication behind. Nothing in the room had been dusted or wiped down in recent history. I called the front desk to complain and request fresh linens as I had my doubts about those. The best the clerk could do was bring sheets from a 'clean' room that was out of order due to broken a/c. He made a note of our complaints and offered us a new room the next day. In the end I cleaned the bathroom myself before letting my kids use it. The maids came in the next day but the only reason I could tell was because all the old linens were gone from the floor. Had the rest of our party not been in the hotel I would not have stayed. We ended up requesting and receiving a refund. We will NOT go back again.
Though the rate is competitive, I wouldn't go back to this place. It's not clean, and it just makes you feel uncomfortable.
Hotel was very clean but some of the rooms do smell a bit since it is a pet friendly hotel. That's one reason I won't own a dog.... that smell lingers. Pool was being renovated during our stay and that was a disappointment but it happens. Some of the guest that occupied half a dozen rooms lingered in the hallway way past midnight drinking and walking around kept us awake. But the management handle it swiftly by calling the police and putting us on another floor. It wasn't the hotels fault but they handled it well.
Whie the staff was helpful, they were not entirely trained. The engineer was wonderful but failed to fix one of the problems, the bathtub drain. The desk could not get the printer to work (out of ink?, not connected?; did not know) and we lost our boarding passes twice. Breakfast okay. Location good for our purposes. There was a group of asian travelers who smoked outside the front door, and the corridors also had a strong smoke smell; smoking should be forbidden on the property!
My room was large and comfortable. It was clean. The appliances worked, however, it would have been nicer if the refridgerator had a freezer. The hotel personnel were polite.
I am a native of the area and return back in forth for business. When competitively priced I prefer to stay here. I recently took a trip with my family and stayed here and couldn't ask for more. Clean rooms, excellent location within the NYC metro area, plenty of dining and shopping options. Only complaint last visit; the wireless internet was not available for 2 days and no one had an explanation that made sense. If you check other hotels on 46 within 3 mi range they are mostly more expensive and either equal or inferior in appearance and ammenties making this the best option. I should also mention this hotel had a major renovation when it switched to Laquinta brand.
I found this hotel to be clean, comfortable and friendly. The staff were extremely helpful and efficient. I would definitely stay here again!
Overall, it was great for the price. The shower was wonderful, the beds were comfortable, the pool was refreshing....the hot tub had a little too much chlorine, but I'd rather more to kill germs than not enough. The contenintal breakfast was not impressive, but the coffee was decent. They were very friendly at the front desk and there was a computer with internet connection in the lobby for guest use. Overall, I would stay here again or at another La Quinta.
It took forty five minutes to get checked in due to the fact that I had to return to the front desk four times because the room key would not work. The non-smoking hall also smelled strongly of smoke.
We asked for non smoking room and was placed at the beg of their smoking rooms. Room was not clean in bathroom and the windows and sills were filthy
If you seek good value for a good night's sleep in the metro NYC area, this is a good option.
The staff were very friendly and polite, the hotel was always clean and so was my room. I only have two complaints: the pool area closed at 10pm and the resturaunt was not open yet. The continental breakfast is included and so is high-speed internet in the room with no additional charges for either. There was a computer for use in the lobby with a printer and they supplied the paper for it. I would say this is a family-friendly hotel and would recommend it for families. Also, the pool was kept as warm as bath water...perfect for older people and people with arthritis, etc.
Everything and everyone was great

Clean, friendly staff, pool and hot tub Nothing 2nd stay would come back again.
They have a washer and driver onsite. Since I was there for 7 days, this was handy. There was no continental breakfast offered, the restaurant offered a breakfast buffet for $12.95. Too much for a bagel and scrambled eggs. The TV's didn't have sleep timers. The hotel restaurant food was overpriced and my order was wrong half the time.
Great staff, very clean, excellent choice
Cleanliness. Quietness. Amazingly comfortable bed. Great breakfast (even though it was extra). Family friendly. Welcoming staff. Loved the pool & spa too. Wifi was sluggish, but not terribly critical for us, and breakfast was not included in our stay... We paid anyways, for convenience!
Very clean, friendly staff, nice hot tub and pool area. Location was a little further from our daughter's home then expected.

NOTHING! The hotel staff gave us some restaraunts to call that provide delivery 24hrs. When we called, the restaurants said no, we don't deliver 24hrs a day. There was a guest smoking pot in next room down the hall. The parking lot smelled like pee. So horrible!
Location, room size and cleanliness. no.
Rooms clean Staff friendly No liquor license contrary to website info. Noisy had to complain early am.
Location Road conditions in lot need improvement
The king bed is very comfortable. The internet is not fast enough to stream videos, and juices in breakfast is not that fresh except orange juice, waffle is firm like rock, little choice.
nice view very very noisy doors, one rude front desk staff with attitude, unorganised management. secluded nothing within walking distance. issues with lifts
The beds were comfortable and had the fastest elevator I have ever seen. The view of mountains was nice. The pool and gym were very small. When u look at that beautiful exterior of the building u would think u were getting the best of everything for the money u spend. There is no security in the parking lot either..
We enjoyed our stay very much. It was clean, comfortable, beautiful view and very accommodating! Thank you!
