Pros: The owners truly have a passion for hospitality and making their guests feel at "home" with their personal touch, attention to details, and splendiferous breakfasts.
A great choice for a stay in Lancaster, E J Bowman House Bed & Breakfast is just 1.6 mi (2.6 km) from the airport. Free perks include WiFi, self parking, and full breakfast daily between 9 AM and 9 AM. Rooms at this Victorian bed & breakfast offer up nice touches like fireplaces and bathrobes, along with flat-screen TVs and DVD players.
Pros: Great bedding. Quite room. Great hot tub. Good free breakfast.
Cons: This is minor but while staying in adult rooms only a little inconvenient to get to room. Fine for my husband and I but anyone with walking issues might not want this room. Did not care for brand of coffee.
Pros: The hotel itself is lovely and immaculate, located in a peaceful and relaxing Amish countryside setting. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated. We especially enjoyed the hearty, Amish style breakfast each morning and the large swimming pool.
Cons: There was not one thing to dislike.
Pros: Room view... Fresh food...grounds..
Pros: The beautiful location. From your room you look out at the fields and Amish farmhouse and school. It is just so peaceful. The adult wing is so quiet; you will have a great sleep here. They have a lovely indoor pool and hot tub and hot tub.
Cons: There is nothing about this Inn that I don't like.
the best place to be in the Amish country
Pros: location, cleanliness, service around (Amish experience)
Pros: Very nice hotel that's worth the extra cost. The breakfast that is served in everyday was exceptional.
Cons: Room was not ready at checkin. No problem as we were ready for dinner anyway. At checkout we were offered a comp for dinner the next time we visited.
I am not sure why this hotel doesn't have a higher star rating. It truly was better than the 4 star hotel we stayed in the night before!
Pros: The staff was wonderful. The view was amazing. The room was awesome! We cannot wait to return.
Pros: I stay here when in Lancaster. The hotel is away from the very busy area and has beautiful farmland views - peaceful and lovely hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful.
This hotel was just up the street from where we were visiting in Smoketown so the location was terrific. The room was spacious and had all the amenities you could expect including refrigerator, microwave, etc. Everything was super clean. The hotel has a high-class feel to it.
Pros: The room was clean and large.
Cons: Parking lot fills with tourist traffic during the day.

Pros: The cleanliness and convenience. I have used this brand of hotel facilities over years but this hotel is one of the tops. I didn't have breakfast for some reasons but, you know, their breakfast is just pretty much standard if it is too bad at some specific location. Location of the hotel, quietness, and safety are all wonderful. If I visit this area again, I will definitely come back to this hotel.

Cons: Sorry I didn't get a chance to try the restaurant connected to the hotel.
Pros: I arrived to check in, delighted to find I received a free room upgrade. The room was just fabulous, impeccably clean, the amenities, and so on. Would most definitely return.
Cons: I cannot suggest anything to improve the hotel or its services.
Pros: Beautiful surroundings
Location is very convenient without being congested
Cons: Room was somewhat cramped but it just added to the character of the hotel by the end.
Pros: Great Hotel, rooms are really really nice, beautiful bathrooms. Love that it had a bar, which was a lot of fun. Great atmosphere, was very pleased with the choice and would stay here again.
Pros: We had 3 adults staying in the room, and still had plenty of space. Room also had a small outdoor balcony which although it was cold was still nice to have.
Cons: Location was further outside of Lancaster City than I wanted. It was a decent walk to get to the places that we were going.
Pros: The historic character of the building; Staff was very helpful.
Pros: It was beautiful and not over the top. We were lucky enough to get upgraded from a Queen suite to a King. The room was large and comfortable. They gave you complimentary bottled water daily. Also they dropped off a rose every day. Those nice little touches make a stay that much better. I would really love to go back :)
Cons: They have artwork for sale all over the hotel. I was so afraid I would accidentally bump into $24,000 artwork.
Also for some reason our room did not really heat up, it was kind of chilly.
Your Overnight Inspirational Stay includes the following:Complimentary indoor and outdoor parkingComplimentary continental breakfastFree wireless and wired high speed internetFree local phone callsNightly turndown serviceBottled Saratoga water in-room
Pros: When we first got to the hotel we were in a rush. Unfortunately we got a set of key cards that didn't work. Then, even our replacement keys didn't work. You would think this would be a negative review. But they handled this all very. Very helpfully. The room cleaners helped us into the room and understood our time issues. Everyone in this hotel did their best and I would absolutely stay here again.
Cons: Absolutely nothing
Pros: Nicely appointed. Very clean. Very friendly staff from the front desk to the Bistro/bar to the maintenance staff; everyone seemed very proud to work there. The food service/prep staff were very gracious and the young man who prepared the food was very interested in our satsifaction and opinon. Lovely room and big comfortable king size beds with great pillows. Convenient and nicely equipped work out room. Indoor pool (small) and whirlpool. Lovely courtyard with poolside-like lounge chairs and a small gazebo. Great for reading, getting a little sun or quiet time. WiFi and wired access throughout.
Cons: Very little not to like. If pressed I can only say that the menu of food available at the Bistro is very limited. There are no omelettes or speciality faire available. However, given the type of hotel (business, traveler, tech-friendly), this is to be expected and they did a wonderful job with thier offerings.
At the Courtyard Lancaster, enjoy spacious accommodations and award-winning service minutes from Downtown Lancaster and scenic Amish countryside. We offer a modern lobby, business center and free high-speed WiFi for your convenience. Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful. Kids loved the pool.
Cons: There were no cinnamon rolls at breakfast! The rest of the breakfast buffet was very good though.
Cons: Insect in the damp room. Breakfast area was so full we couldn't even walk in. Breakfast staff was rude. By 8:30, protein was finished and not being replinished.
Pros: very clean, nice staff very well located around the sight & scene theater and other places of interest....
Pros: Great location--central to attractions we were interested in. Healthy breakfast with good selections
Pros: It was quiet, clean, and easy to get to. The beds and pillows were fabulous.
Cons: The first morning, there was no bacon at breakfast and the breakfast employee seemed to be more interested in hanging out with the front desk gal than serving the guests.
Pros: Location was easy to get to all the attractions. They were very helpful when our reservation was not in their system.
Pros: Clean rooms and really good breakfast
Pros: The variety of breakfast selection.
Pros: The location was good for where we were going.
Cons: The front desk lady at check in was very rude. We asked for an early check in due to our long drive and show time. When we arrived we were told that our room was not ready. There were people that came in after us and were given their rooms.
Pros: good location for shopping, major attractions and dining.
Cons: no indoor pool
Pros: The room, and the staff. The bathroom very clean.
Pros: Ideal location,wonderful staff.

Pros: Awesome weekend breakfast buffet!
Cons: We used the lobby restroom a couple times during our several day stay, and I was disappointed that there is not a baby changing station in the restroom. Disappointed that there was not a diaper changing station on the first floor.
Pros: Fantastic for families with young children!! Would definitely stay here again. Free breakfast, separate living area, full kitchen, great pool.
I would definitely return to this hotel if we are in the Lancaster area again. It was a great place to stay for our family to see the Lancaster area sites.

Pros: Love the decor, the coffee and juice service 24/ day and the popcorn.
Cons: No fitness room, the pool area was like a sauna and we could not stay in the area for more then a couple minutes.
Pros: You are able to 'smell the clean' at this Inn which is something you are able to immediately notice. This is not a chemical smell but a very comforting, clean, and refreshing scent. This Inn feels like home and has the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in when lodging on vacation. Most of what you may need or may forget when vacationing is accommodated for and the staff is very friendly. This was my second time staying at The Country Inn of Lancaster and after this second wonderful experience, just as the last, I will not stay anywhere else!
Cons: The only thing I can think of to write here is that, as a country inn may have, the floors in the lobby are very slightly uneven due to a rustic-feel which may make walking through with walkers or wheelchairs momentarily uncomfortable but this is not the only entrance and I am certain that the staff can accommodate any need!
Pros: On Rt. 30, close to the shopping outlets. Breakfast provided. Homey atmosphere.
Pros: Cozy country atmosphere. Rooms were spacious and clean. Pool and hot tub was great.
Cons: Sink and shower filled up and drained extremely slowly
A fitness center would have been great.
Pros: Clean, staff was very helpful and friendly. Our stay even included breakfast. Will stay there again!
Cons: Can't complain about anything.
Pros: Room decor
Cons: Areas need updating
Pros: Location staff
Cons: Carpet could have been cleaned better
Pros: My family stayed 2 nights~the beds were perfect and the room was clean. The folks working there were polite and efficient and friendly~loved the pool & hot tub. The adjoining restaurant provided room service~excellent food at reasonable prices. We will be staying there again :)
Pros: Outstanding value for money!! A World traveler sends.
Pros: loved the room....quilts and such gave it an Amish feel...porch with rocking chairs...very comfortable beds...slept great...will stay there every time I visit that area...staff great...very clean
Cons: no dislikes
Cons: was a little disappointed in breakfast
from the reviews i thought it was a hot breakfast with eggs etc...
They did have eggs( hard boiled)
I specifically stayed there because i was looking for a good breakfast for my family
everything else was great but the breakfast was not what I thought it would be

Pros: The room we stayed in was spacious and clean. The in-room hot tub was the icing on the cake!

Pros: The people & facilities were excellent, I would highly recommend this hotel if you are in the area and need a place to stay. Beautiful amenities, great pool & hot tub, & awesome kids pool. Room service was also on point with fantastic food! 2 thumbs way up!!!!!
Pros: Liked the magician and the festive atmosphere. Lots of kids, but they were behaved. Nice. Will be back
Pros: Staff was nice and the room clean
Cons: The seating at the booths are not comfortable.

The restaurant is the perfect spot for a bite to eat, and after visiting the 24-hour fitness center for a workout, you can unwind with a drink at the bar/lounge. An indoor pool and a spa tub are other highlights, and rooms offer flat-screen TVs and refrigerators.
Pros: clean, large rooms, comfy bed and pillows, fast internet, great staff, large pool, nice breakfast
Cons: Price of hotel was probably 20% over priced. We needed to keep some things cold and the fridge never maintained cold enough temp. We used ice from ice machine and that worked fine.
Pros: Perfect location for what we wanted.
Pros: Breakfast delicious- room was comfortable -great beds
Cons: Clock Alarm went off at midnight
Cons: Hot tub was broken-I feel I should have received a small price reduction
Cons: No mention of the fact that the Jacuzzi was out-of-order (& had been for months).
Pros: Location was excellent for my business trip. Nice hot breakfast.
Cons: During my stay, they were jackhammering concrete around the indoor pool. Very noisy!!! Elevator was out of order when I checked out and had to carry luggage downstairs.
Cons: Wife is very hard to turn on. However, the morning after your stay wife is turned off before you check out. So you can't check email. Not good if you're traveling on business.
Pros: easy to get to
Cons: the woman at the desk was rude hotel was nearly empty and we were given a room on the first floor near the exit
Pros: Close to town which has great restaurant selections.

Pros: The hotel was beautiful and in a great location. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were large and clean. We loved our stay and will go back. The restaurant had great food and the bakery was wonderful as well!
Pros: Lots of business travelers. Upper end place for town. front desk very helpful and a beautiful young lady.
Cons: Bar was pretty dead . went out to a few of the local spots within walking distance.
Pros: we were well taken care of during the blizzard. Staff was very accommodating. Restaraunt good was very good.
Cons: Wishing they would've actually opened the Restaraunt and served breakfast for those of us STUCK bc of the 32" of snow. Continental breakfast gets old fast and is unfulfilling.
Also, they could've offered a discount on food and room feed to those of us stuck there. I asked. It wasn't an option.
Floor creak when someone is room above you. You hear walking, showers, and toilets flushing.
Pros: Clean room. Nice open feeling. Liked the historic feel to the hotel.
Cons: Mattress was terrible and eliminated a 4 star rating.
Pros: Very nice feel of old and new combined. The hotel building is a gorgeous piece of history. It's remodeled to perfection.
Cons: The neighborhood is not the best although we were able to walk safely from the hotel to downtown Lancaster. I wouldn't do the walk a second time. Hotel is located just a short drive to many amenities. I would stay here again.
Pros: The overall design, comfortable beds, free breakfast, friendly staff
Cons: Knowing where you were allowed to park, finding the main lobby - we drove passed the entire hotel a few times
Pros: The old building has been put to a fabulous new use. The old beams, woodwork and bricks are very interesting. The toiletries and lines are great quality.
Cons: We could hear our neighbors in the middle of the night.
A man checking in at the same time as us asked for a government rate, that was $40 less then we paid. How much subsidizing do we have to do?
Pros: The charm and atmosphere of this hotel were present from the point we first set eyes on it. The restored factory look pairs rustic/historical elements with a chic sense of modern decor. The rooms were spacious enough, but still felt cozy. Continental breakfast was great- featuring goods from the on-premesis bakery. The Cap and Cork Restaurant / bar was also a nice stop, on par with many of the major dining locations in the city. My fiance and I actually spent some time just walking though the hotel, checking out the old parts of the building, and getting a sneak peak at the ballroom / reception area (gorgeous!). We've already planned to go again!
Cons: The only minor complaint was locating the hotel. It is not far from a major road, but the hotel building is part of what used to be a large factory complex. The rest of the complex was turned into offices/shops, and the hotel sits back behind them. There are also 2 entrances, one of which takes you around the back of the building, which may be confusing your first time.
Pros: Delightful bed
Cons: Inconvenient outlets in room--and a lamp without a switch that only worked off the wall switch.
Paper and plastic cups = downmarket
Cork Factory Hotel is a great choice for a stay in Lancaster. Guests can visit the spa to indulge in deep-tissue massages, body scrubs, or facials, and American cuisine is served at Cork & Cap, which is open for lunch and dinner. Other highlights include a fitness center and a terrace, and rooms offer refrigerators and free WiFi.
Pros: The hotel was great. Great location. Clean. Nice staff. As nice as any Marriott we have stayed in.
Cons: Restaurant was understaffed and food was not up to Marriott standards. We could have purchased better food at any of the other local restaurants within walking distance.
Pros: There for a dance convention with my daughter. The hotel was fully booked but the staff did a great job of managing a large number of guests. The elevators were a problem since everyone started and finished their workshops at the same time of day but they could not control that. You must always have your room key since elevators won't go up or down without a swipe.lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance. Room was fine, clean and not too small. Quiet as well.
Cons: I didn't sleep well because of a fight in the hallway that took the hotel stuff way to long to resolve. Also I'm a platinum member and was unable to get a king room that I requested.
