Pros: The owner was so so helpful and welcoming!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location on the town square which was very quiet. Lovely historic house with high quality décor and fittings. Great breakfast with organic produce and delicious home made bread.
Cons: We didn't read the description of our room fully enough as our bathroom had limited height and caused a problem for my partner who is tall. Our fault but it probably would have meant we wouldn't have stayed there which would have been a pity.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent

Pros: The property is a magnificent example of a 14th century house, beautifully restored and presented. The rooms were comfortable and spotless. The breakfast was first class! Our hostess was welcoming, friendly and couldn’t do enough to make our stay memorable - for all the right reasons. Highly recommended!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Home made cakes which were very nice. Fresh locally sourced tasty breakfast and home made bread. Catered for vegetarian and non dairy. Room very clean with every attention to detail including extra toiletries and clean fluffy towels. Lovely big shower. Our room had a fridge and every tea we could think of trying. Beautiful house with lots of history. Very clean and comfortable bed. Couldn't fault our stay. Sarenka a lovely owner and host. Will definitely be back.
Cons: Difficulty parking on the square outside and had to go out at 8am to move car or add more money in car park only 5 minutes away and £2.30 all day but relatively small. No other problems at all.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming and helpful host, good local advice given, location is n in town centre, east access to all local facilities. Excellent breakfast, fresh cooked to order.
Cons: Bathroom small and somewhat cramped. Bath with shower fitting not really easy to get into and out of. Ok for a couple of nights but would become tiresome for any longer. Car parking on road or opposite square but spaces very limited. Once we got a space, we didn’t move car|
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The facilities are exceptionally comfortable with a wonderful bed and bedding. The lounge room downstairs is also very comfortable and offers an alternative in the B and B should not wish to stay in your room. The breakfast was fantastic, above and beyond food and service. The free cakes baked by the host are a wonderful addition. The property is a breathtaking old building with wonderful features. The best aspect of the stay is the host who is friendly and great to chat with over breakfast.
Cons: I couldn’t mark this place down for anything.

5.5 Okay
Pros: It was quiet and the shower was really good.
Cons: Not fit for 4 people and you kept bumping your head in the cottage, moving around the house was difficult. There wasn't enough room in the kitchen. Disappointing because they could have moved us to a bigger cottage, as no one else was there.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location for us as we had a wedding to go to in a Framlingham but otherwise not much there. Big, comfortable house with parking right outside. Very nice touch to have a kettle, coffee and biscuits in every room.
Cons: No hand towels, only big bath towels. Might be a personal thing but I don’t like to use my bath towel for hands and face.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A peaceful, private and rural setting; the perfect place to unwind.......the neighbouring sheep only added to the ambience. The cottage was very spacious and comfortable with the convenience of a ground floor bedroom with ensuite bathroom.
Cons: Nothing not to like
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Well equipped cottage. Comfortable bed. Very clean Peaceful, rural location. Easy drive to good local pub (shame it's too difficult to walk along dark lanes) . Framlingham also close by.
Cons: Only minor points, but wifi could be stronger and, given wet weather, a board game or jigsaw in the cottage would have been useful.

Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. This hotel has 3 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location and history of the building were wonderful and we enjoyed a wonderful meal in the restaurant on the evening of our arrival. My specific dietary requirements were discussed attentively and proved not to be a problem as they often are elsewhere.
Cons: The only aspect of our trip that was disappointing was breakfast. We gathered at c9am as a group of 11; whilst four of us were seated immediately the other 7 had to wait c15mins for tables to be prepared - I would stress that we were not waiting for other guests to vacate tables - having arrived towards the end of service there were plenty free but staff didn't prioritise clearing and preparing these for us; in consequence we were kept waiting an unacceptable length of time and to add insult to injury during this time were made to feel uncomfortable by the guy in charge of the restaurant. When we finally were seated and our food arrived, two plates had to be sent back as the cooked breakfasts were nearly cold and had clearly been served on cold plates as evidenced by the bacon fat that had solidified on them. My husband's smoked Haddock whilst hot, was disappointingly small whilst my own request for avocado with my bacon (lovely together - you should try it!) saw me presented with a decidedly tired looking quarter of an avocado that was clearly past its best, simply plonked on the plate next to my bacon with no attempt made to present it nicely - slicing it up and removing the blackened / bruised bits would have made it at least look more appetising. As it was I substituted it for one of my own hat I had brought with me for emergencies. In summary the breakfast kitchen doesn't match up to the restaurant on an evening.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The spa and the room. Staff friendly
Cons: Wasn’t enough staff in the restaurant to meet everybody’s expectations. Food was disappointing, evening meal and breakfast
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel and grounds are beautiful and have lots of history. The restaurant food was really lovely, portion sizes were really good and the food tasted amazing. Great location and a short drive to Woodbridge town which was great for an afternoon mooch. The room was very clean and tea/coffee and water was topped up each day of our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Communication at the Spa - leading to wrong treatments being given but the hotel quickly rectified the price difference which was gratefully received. In the bar, The halloumi salad portion size, in my opinion needs to increase and have more seeds/spinach/beetroot/carrot included. Although disappointed with the size (after sending it back as some of the ingredients were missing) it was very tasty. Our room was incredibly hot (the day temperature was quite high so understand this can’t be helped) we did have a fan which helped but with the windows open we had disturbed sleep from the kitchen which was below our room dropping cutlery several times up to 12.15am. The veggie breakfast on the first day didn’t have any beans or mushrooms but were brought straight out after I mentioned it. We had a nice time and laughed off the comedy of errors which seem to occur at each eventuality. I have been before and thought the hotel was amazing which is why I returned. These mishaps wouldn’t put me off trying the hotel again, I understand everyone can make mistakes and it is a beautiful hotel with fabulous grounds and lovely food.
6.3 Good
Pros: Overall Seckford Hall is very beautiful with lots of quirks. The spa facilities are really good. However, for the amount you are paying to stay here you do excepted than you get. The room I stayed in (8) was quite small for other 4* star comparisons and the bathroom needed mordernizing. The bed was squeezed into a corner where there wasn’t even room for a side table or to get through on the side. When asking for basics such as toothpaste they didn’t have any, again, basics are something you would expect from a 4*. The food was great, breakfast was basic, and the facilities are great. So overall, it’s fine but I would rate this hotel as 3* not 4*.
Cons: I thought the room I was in was incredibly small and cramped compared to other 4* hotels. The staff we great but being told it was £14.95 for breakfast for someone to then say it was £10 shows a lack of training. They failed to have basic provisions for guests and they also had a group check out late, for which I was offered no compensation even though I couldn’t get into my room till 5pm. There response was “you can use the spa” I was more thinking of a rest. I feel the hotel could certainly modernize the rooms as the bathrooms and decor felt very dated, which you could argue is in keeping with the property, but a modern bathroom is something nobody would mind.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Period property amazing. Friendliness of the staff. Great food. Garden amazing.
Cons: Although advised the wedding guests mixing with the residents hence noisy
7.0 Good
Pros: Location good for an event we were attending nearby.
Cons: Our room and bed were rather small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was relaxing with a lovely view of the gardens and near the restaurant and so not far to go Brilliant stay
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic food and lovely gardens
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the grounds. If I was being picky, the table and chairs on the balcony could have been of higher quality but apart from that very satisfied.
Cons: Didn't think that the cooked breakfast was that tasty although the bar snack I had the evening before was excellent.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful house and gardens. Friendly and helpful staff. Good choice of breakfast. Good central location for seeing coastal Suffolk .
Cons: Dinner menu was uninspiring and stayed the same all week.

5.0 Okay
Cons: Felt hassled to be out of property. Check out 10.30-lots of noise outside room from 9.45 onwards. Staff hovering, banging doors, shuffling outside door, and whistling! Otherwise ok.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice rooms, small but nice restaurant. Spotlessly clean throughout and lovely staff. Superb cooked breakfast all cooked fresh and to order.
Cons: Very limited evening meal menu but lots of pubs and restaurants close by so we just ate out every evening.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Good spot for town, right off the bypass but no road noise. Nice lady on check in and place is clean and rooms are well equipped. Mine was a bit small but still felt fine and shower and bathroom OK. Plenty of spacious parking. Good value.
Cons: Breakfast was average but OK, nothing bad to say.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and a good location. Nice and peaceful. Good little running track around the perimeter of the hotel.
Cons: The bed wasn’t to our fancy. We prefer a harder bed and a thinner pillow (just personal preference).
9.5 Excellent
Pros: That it was so quiet even though a wedding party was going on.
Cons: The fan in the bathroom wouldn’t turn off. Although it didn’t bother us too much, so we didn’t mention it until we checked out. We were feeling a bit peckish & just wanted a simple sandwich & was told they didn’t do them, which I thought was pretty poor for a hotel.
