Rose Hotel Yokohama

The hotel provides a variety of lunch and dinner options with on-site restaurants, Brasserie Milly LaForet and Chungking Chinese Restaurant. In the evening, guests are able to relax in the comfortable lounge bar. There is also the added convenience of an in-house restaurant.

The rooms were spacious and not cramped. However, the rooms were old and didn’t seem to be renovated. Although it was non-smoking, we could tell it used to be smoking rooms. The carpet had a weird smell and the room did not come with air freshener. We also could not control our own air conditioner as if it was on or off for the whole floor.

The hotel has a summer swimming pool which is very unique. However, it didn’t affect our stay much but we’d really have loved some pyjamas! They do have a summer swimming pool which is very unique but unfortunately we stayed in winter and didn’t get to use it.

Very convenient to visit Chinatown, it is literally on the hotel’s doorstep. Also walking distance to many other places of interest and a short ride away to the shopping centre of Yokohama. Even Tokyo wasn’t that far away so it makes a good base that is better priced than many Tokyo hotels.

The staff actively interacted with us when we asked about the decoration service for our anniversary, with many choices and options such as what kind of design, colors, and the location of the decorations we wanted. It’s very close to Chinatown and the station.

Several guests mentioned that the views from the rooms were spectacular. Opting for a room with a balcony facing the fountain comes highly recommended.

If visiting during the summer season, take advantage of the rooftop pool, which is one of the few in Yokohama allowing entrance to children.

The hotel's location in Chinatown makes it convenient for walking to landmarks, parks, and transportation hubs.

Some guests noted that certain rooms had a smoking smell or were hotter than comfortable. Checking room details and requesting non-smoking rooms can enhance the stay experience.
