Pros: I loved everything about this place. The staff was very very nice and friendly. They were also very helpful with activities going on for the day in Williamsburg. They have a discount available for dockets which is also nice. Plus they have free parking just around the corner which was very nice. I loved this place. Anytime we go to Williamsburg from now on we'll stay here.
Cons: The only thing I didn't like as much was their late arrival policy. They tape an envelope to the door with everything you need (room key, front door key, parking pass, directions for parking, room number and name) in it. I don't think that's very safe anyone could walk by and grab it. We were spending the day at Busch Gardens (about 10 minutes from the Bed & Breakfast) and we're just going to check in after but when I found out about the policy we left the park to drop off out luggage and check in.
At The Fife And Drum Inn, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Governor's Palace. Free perks include continental breakfast, self parking, and wired Internet. Also, this bed & breakfast is within a short drive of Water Country USA.
Pros: Stay there! It is a wonderful place and it was a great experience.
Cons: Nope, all was terrific.
When you make a reservation also bear in mind that the hotel is on a winery (walking distance) and it has it's own restaurant. The winery is the williamsburg winery, wine tasting tours close at 5pm and its store closes at 6pm. The wedmore place has it's own restaurant which was highly sought after by locals, call the hotel and ask about their restaurant and seriously consider making a reservation there as well when you book the hotel. My wife and I had the breakfast there and the food was great, we didn't have dinner there and ate in town which was nice, but I think we'd of liked to have eaten at the restaurant also. We stayed one night and toured colonial williamsburg and being a young married couple with our kids being watched by our grandparents we couldn't stay at this venue long enough to enjoy the entirety of the hotel, winery and colonial williamsburg. We would've liked to have stayed two nights there instead of one. We're considering coming back to this place next year for our 10th wedding anniversary for two nights, the hotel and grounds were beautiful it was great to have a night to ourselves. We also booked one of the larger rooms cotswolds, which was a real treat.
Pros: The hotel is situated on a winery and it has it's own restaurant, which served a great breakfast. We noticed that the dinner was highly sought after but we ate in town. We're considering revisiting this hotel for our 10th wedding anniversary.
Wedmore Place features a winery and puts you within a 15-minute drive of Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Water Country USA. Guests indulge in massages, then grab a bite to eat at the restaurant. A bar/lounge and a fitness center are other highlights, and rooms at this boutique inn offer up nice touches like Tempur-Pedic beds with premium linens.
Pros: Very easy to find and convenient to the visitors center and we walked to our dinner location
Cons: Too much chlorine in the pool area
Pros: The service and decoration was nice
Cons: Breakfast was terrible.
Pros: The location was great with lots of outside lighting in the parking lot. Safe location with lots to do close by. The hottub and pool was very clean and relaxing after a long day of shopping. I will definitely use Comfort Syites Bypass again.
Pros: We could hear kids running back and forth in the room above us. Hard to sleep.
Get more of the space you need to spread out, relax or work at the smoke-free Comfort Suites Bypass hotel in Williamsburg, VA near the College of William and Mary. Other attractions like the Williamsburg Premium Outlets, Busch Gardens/Water Country USA, Jamestown Settlement and Colonial Williamsburg are also close. Your spacious suite offers 25 percent more space than the traditional room, plus a flat-screen TV, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, recharge device and hair dryer. Also, earn rewards including free nights and gift cards with our Choice Privileges Rewards program.
Cons: I didn't like having to hear a short pitch from a time share sales representative just to receive my parking pass. It was only a short discussion because I refused to make an appointment to hear the full sales pitch but it was awkward and uncomfortable.
Pros: It was an apartment. Great for families.
Cons: No indoor pool.
Pros: The room was great
Cons: The check in process took about 45min do to only one person at the check in desk and the other person you had to speak with trying to get you to go to the timeshare presentation
Pros: Great location, spacious rooms, double headed shower, blu-ray dvd player and Netflix account accessible, washer and dryer provided in room, full kitchen. Basically a small one room condo style experience. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Outdoor pool could be bigger, however they are expanding the property with an additional pool, they are building tennis courts, basket ball courts and a bowling alley.
Welcome to the perfect Vacation Resort for families in Williamsburg! Holiday Inn Club Vacations Williamsburg Resort is only eight miles from Colonial Williamsburg the largest living history district of its kind in the country. In period costumes
Pros: Overall facilities and rooms were clean and well kept. Food and activity options were plentiful and the location (and the resort's free shuttle service) makes all the area attractions easy to get to.
Cons: We requested a room on the bottom floor prior to arrival. I received an email through Kayak from Kingsmill confirming we had a room on bottom floor. Upon arrival they did not have bottom room or anything in their system that we requested one. They were not accommodating and did not offer anything to make up for it. Some staff not attentive.
Pros: The overall setting of the resort is beautifully surrounded by the river and green, the low rise housing helped preserve the scenery from every angle. We stayed there during the Thanksgiving weekend with our grade schooler sharing a king size bed comfortably on the first floor. The room is sized a typical hotel room with a patio facing a pond, which I enjoyed the most. The closet was unusually larger, you can fit 2 suitcases in there. The amenity is normal, that's why I did not rate it 'luxurious' but it's clean and sufficient with body wash, shampoo and conditioning;, the interior design of the bathroom is on the high end than other typical Hilton or Marriott, but is sized smaller than I would have liked. Each room has a Kerug with 6 pods and they fill it up everyday. No problem getting on wifi. The shuttle service is excellent - we used it exclusively to travel between Busch Garden and the resort - the shuttle also take you directly to your building if requested, they really eager to take around the resort. indoor pool is smaller than I would have liked but there were 20+ kids there so it felt crowded. But the changing area is on the high end side, very clean, plenty of towel supply, whirlpool, steam room, sauna included. Every staff we encounter are very friendly. Buffet breakfast in Element 1010 and lunch at Eagle restaurant, both of which were good experiences. Everything worked out really well. It is priced a bit higher than others in the area but i feel that I get what I paid for, it's worth the value. We definitely will go back in the summer and possibly in Nov/December again.
Cons: Can't really pick any Cons - I guess I would have liked a bigger indoor pool so the kids are not jammed together.
Pros: The landscaping and setting are truly one of a kind. The staff is all very friendly, from the house-cleaners to the concierge service. The on site restaurants, especially the one at the marina, are top shelf. Truly some of the best food we have ever eaten.
Cons: It is pricey. The cost for a single night stay was double that of staying at another location not much further away. I am not sure if the amenities warrant the cost.

Pros: I had a quick stay at this hotel and was so pleased with every aspect. I was departing on a very early flight so I asked if the airport shuttle would be running at 5am. When I was told it wasn't, the front desk employee, Lee told me he would have a taxi waiting in the morning and the hotel would pay for it. Staff was friendly, location was convenient, amenities were lovely.
Cons: They didn't have a clock in the room and I was told they are in the process of removing them. Odd.
Pros: I did find a few mold spots near our tub, and one of the underwater pool lights/wires was yanked out. Otherwise, great. There were a few pieces if broken drywall at one corner of the room, and lots of painted-without-patching screws, if that sort of thing bothers you.

Spacious suites include HDTV, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, hair dryer and desk. Also, earn rewards including free nights and gift cards with our Choice Privileges Rewards program.
Pros: Spacious functional room with well-equipped kitchen, great work space and a very comfortable bed. Nice and clean.
Cons: Only weekly room service. At the high price for short-stay guests, it would be fairer to include a continental breakfast and faster front desk service. I was told we could buy breakfast, but all they had was a small room with unhealthy and expensive preserved pastries and snacks sealed in packets. Checkout took 20 minutes, because there was only one front desk person who was handling a long and difficult negotiation about rates and various possibilities for the length of stay.

Pros: Lovely smart design of suite was efficient. Breakfast was good & all staff were friendly & efficient. Appreciated genuine feeling of interest
Cons: Shower curtain not effective, allowing soaking of floor with everyone who attempted a shower. A bit dangerous there
Pros: Beds comfortable. Lots of room. Real HD tv. Room Very clean (except for smell )
Cons: No shower curtain. Room temperature hard to control. Room smells like stale cigarette smoke. Coffee products in room lacking.
Pros: The room was nice.
Cons: The food was plain and undesirable.
I stayed in room 301 which was by the stairs. The door kept banging all night long waking me up.

Pros: I loved the room spacing and location to local eateries. I stayed in a Spring Hill hotel in Vegas and this hotel in Hampton (short of the Vegas flare) was not short stopping. I would highly recommend this as a hotel option.
Cons: We had to switch rooms because the television was not working (recently remodeled and may have not been connected properly). Thx.
Pros: This has to be the best staff I've ever seen. Very friendly and helpful. They were never pushy or rude. I had my service animal with me and no problems at all. Unlike others I've stayed at. I will stay there again
Pros: Staff was extremely friendly. Had smiles on their faces, held doors open, were on top of it Great to see coming from a customer service background. Housekeeping was accommodating and interactive. If you passed by them in the hallway they would acknowledge your presence and say a friendly hello. Loved having a great display of food for their complementary breakfast which never ran out of food.
Cons: No fan in the bathroom?...doomed for black mold. Did not care to have the A/C unit on either. Cleaned the front of it because it was filled with dust. Was a nightmare for those who have allergies like myself. The 2 inch gap of fresh air from the window was not cutting it for fresh air flow. Luckily did not have to be in the room as much as we had planned.

Pros: The staff was very friendly.
Pros: The staff. Friendly and professional. Hotel Employee the breakfast lady is sunshine.
Cons: The room seemed too airtight. Couldn't open the window even a bit to air out the room.
Pros: The staff was extremely pleasant. I had a few questions, they answered them with a great attitude and very helpful information. There was a hair on one of the bathroom towels when we arrived, an entire fresh set was brought to the room immediately.
Cons: I wish the pool opened earlier, but my daughter and I did have it to ourselves for our 20 minute swim at 8:15 am, which was a definite plus.
Pros: Location and friendly professional staff.
Cons: Nothing at all.
Pros: Location is close to restaurants, shopping and freeways
Cons: The room was okay, it could have been cleaned a little better. The air/heater made loud humming noises throughout the night.
Pros: I have stayed at the hotel several times & what brings me back everytime is the fantastic staff. EVERYONE is so kind, welcoming & helpful. They always make me feel like I'm in their home - they even put out lemonade & cookies in the afternoon. Sweet.

Pros: Helpfulness of front desk staff in getting to the site from about two miles away when I got turned around getting there in the first place.
Cons: Someone put used soap in a new soap box in the bathroom. Only later when my wife opened another box of soap did we discover that my bar of soap was well used already!
Pros: Pool and complimentary breakfast
Pros: Friendly staff, clean rooms, great location will stay here again!
Pros: Convenient and super-comfy beds
Cons: The eggs at breakfast were disgusting¿¿
Close to many restaurants and the convention center.
Pros: Room and bathroom space the nicest of any Ha,ton Inn we've been at.
The hotel was right across the street from the hospital I was visiting so the location was amazing. My entire stay was great.
Pros: I love the staff they were very helpful and nice. The room was great and very clean. The breakfast was also great as well. The fresh cookies and milk for guest when you walk in was amazing.
Cons: The is nothing bad I can say about my stay.
Overall I felt there was great value for my money. The hotel had everything my family needed and we even made use of the fitness center. Breakfast every morning was convenient and very good and the bonus of the breakfast on the go bags was fabulous when we needed it, not to mention the coffee available anytime and fresh baked cookies on the counter when we were coming in or going out. After having stayed two years in a row with both experiences great I continue to recommend your hotel to family and friends. Great job!
Pros: It met all of my needs. The room was very clean and quiet, convenient if I needed to pick up anything forgotten at home and very close to where I was visiting and my reason for coming to Virginia in the first place.
Cons: This was my second time staying at this very hotel and the staff at the reception desk did not seem as friendly and engaged as they did the first time I stayed. My first visit you had a very friendly, cordial woman working the desk that day.
Pros: location and breakfast
Cons: shower spigot did not work correctly. Only turned 90degrees, was either scalding or off. I reported to front desk staff, offered to 'have someone come up', it was late, my family was tired. We sponge bathed, should have had a discount
Staff was very responsive to any requests and made our visit enjoyable.
Pros: Free continental breakfast, cleanliness of facility

Cons: Breakfast started at 7:00. Earlier would have suited us better. Used a debit card so they held funds for both nights plus about $50 for incidentals for 48 hours after our checkout.
Pros: It was new, spacious, well-appointed rooms
Pros: My husband and I have frequently visited Williamsburg. One year we had a difficult time getting a hotel reservation in Williamsburg. We decided to try Newport News. We have been staying in Newport News for the past 10 years whenever we visit Williamsburg. We love it! This is the first time we stayed at a Residence. We were thoroughly impressed! The room was very modern, comfortable and super clean. The breakfast was delicious!
The staff was helpful and friendly. The only reason that I didn't give a perfect score is the mattress was a little firmer than what I am used to. We will definitely return and would highly recommend staying there.

Pros: Great budget hotel situated perfectly in the Williamsburg area. Extremely close to tourist hotspots, food, and shopping.
Cons: Because of the low price, there are very few amenities.
Pros: The Staff
Cons: The water pressure
Pros: Breakfast was nice and the bed was comfortable. Internet was good too.
Cons: I think my boyfriend and I caught something from the room. When we returned from our trip we BOTH came down with a cold. Not sure where else we could've gotten it from. Also the lock for our room was messed up. We had to yank it and then push to get it to open.
Pros: The staff was great - very welcoming and friendly!
The location was perfect for visiting Colonial Williamsburg.
Adequate breakfast well attended to by staff.
Pros: The staff bent over backwards to meet our everybody need. They provided us breakfast after the breakfast hours had ended, allowed us to check out late to meet our schedule, and were extremely friendly overall. For the price this hire can't be beat!
Cons: No complaints
Pros: Comfortable. Nice breakfast. Pleasant staff good location
Pros: Had to make an emergency trip due to family illness. The staff bent over backwards to accommodate us including having to extend our stay at the last minute. All the staff were helpful and always had a smile to share. Although they apologized for ongoing renovations there were no issues other than an occasional sign apologizing for any inconvenience,
Pros: The location was very good. It was close to downtown and yet far enough way that it was quite.
Cons: There were ants in the rooms. When we first checked in I asked to be moved to another room due to the ants in the bathroom and also in the bed area. After moving to another floor, the same problem existed. I did not like going into the bathroom and finding ants in the sink, the bathtub and all over the floor.
Pros: The location was great. The lobby was bright and clean. The people behind the desk were very friendly and helped us pick some places to eat. We loved the warm cookies! The pool was awesome. My husband and son enjoyed that one night after Busch Gardens. Its really great that its open till midnight. The room was very large, very clean. The bathroom was perfect. The towels were plentiful and so thirsty. I love that in a towel!! Breakfast is free and very good. Great variety of things to eat and drink. Its wonderful for families with small kids. Saves money too, as any meal with multiple people can be expensive. Loved our stay and would stay again.
Cons: Beds were a little soft. My husband and I kept rolling into the middle. I just had hip surgery so it was a little tough getting out for me. Thats about it in the complaint dept.
Pros: Overall the hotel was not bad but the bed was uncomfortable and the breakfast was marginal.
Cons: The staff were friendly and helpful, the lobby is pleasant and inviting giving a homey feel
Pros: Excellent room & Staff
Pros: The evening person was helpful in changing out our room
Cons: The first room smelled of mold or mildew The 2nd room was better..

Regarded among the world's great hotels, the Williamsburg Inn in Williamsburg, Virginia, is the crown jewel of Colonial Williamsburg hotels. As directed by Mr. and Mrs. John D. Rockefeller Jr. the Williamsburg Inn hotel is decorated in an elegant Regency style. The Inn offers 62 guestrooms and suites in the main building. The Inn has hosted a wealth of heads-of-state yet pampers each and every guest with similar royal treatment. For many, it is a destination in itself. Gourmet dining, outdoor pools, clay tennis courts, award-winning golf, and a fitness club complete with spa services create a memorable resort experience. Golf enthusiasts are particularly awe-inspired with the adjoining Golden Horseshoe Golf Club featuring 45-holes of championship golf by legendary designers Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Rees Jones. Of more than 17,000 golf courses in America, only eight hold both GOLF Magazines Gold Medal and 5 Stars for Places to Play by Golf Digest and the Golden Horseshoe is a proud recipient of both much to a golfers delight. After a day on the courses, visiting Colonial Williamsburgs world-renowned Historic Area, shopping or more the award-winning talented culinary staff provides innovative American dining at the Rockefeller Room, Restoration Bar and Terrace Room. The Spa of Colonial Williamsburg is conveniently located on the grounds of the Inn providing guests easy access to what promises to be a unique spa experience. Historic Restoration Prepares Inn for New EraThe careful restoration of the Inn encompassed every aspect of its interior - the original furniture designed specially for this famous hotel has been refinished and reupholstered, chandeliers brilliantly refurbished, a new tearoom and bar lounge have been incorporated into the first floor, along with modest alterations to the Regency Room. Guestrooms have been significantly enlarged to include elaborate all-marble baths. The famous facade of the Williamsburg Inn hotel has not changed as inside the restorations span three centuries of style: 19th-century Regency decor, the 20th-century heritage of the original building, and 21st-century amenities. It surely reflects what Rockefeller envisioned: a historic country inn with the most modern, gracious appointments.
Pros: I like the ability to be staying at one location that allowed the family to do things within that location. This was a plus because when the children got board, we could go to the game room, swimming pool, mini golf course. The space in the rooms were excellent as well. Separate rooms and bathrooms accommodated the large family with ease.
Cons: Just the hallway needed to be cleaned. Some old bed clothes were left there for a day but they were cleaned and then there were some trash that was left behind. Other than that, it was great.
Pros: Overall experience was good.
Cons: I stayed in a lower floor unit and you could hear every movement of the people in the unit above us. This is not the first time I have had this issue at a Wyndham resort. Need to find a way to improve on this.
Pros: I needed to relax , write and also have the comforts of home, particularly the kitchen.
It was nice and quiet. I wish I could have stayed longer, two days wasn't enough time. It was my second time at the property in as many months. Nice escape if you can afford it.
I'm saving to go again.
Cons: The full length mirror in my apartment was horrible. It was the type that belongs in a carnival fun house. I was very surprised at the lack of attention to THAT one detail and avoided the hall it was in.
Pros: Beautiful facility, lots of things for the kids to do. Very clean, spacious modern 2 bedroom unit.
Cons: None, we loved the place.

Pros: The location was close to Busch Gardens and the pool was great.
Cons: The sink was clogged up and when they unclogged it it made the room smell terrible! The housekeeping was a bit lacking as well. The room didn't get cleaned till close to 3 p.m. and the sheets weren't even changed! Not to mention the king size bed looked like it had queen size sheets and comforter on it. We left two days earlier than planned. The staff appeared a bit snobby as well. I will never stay in this hotel again. I would prefer to sleep in a tent!
Pros: Free breakfast was convenient and met our needs.
Cons: Most of the staff had limited English skills.
Pros: Nicely appointed and spacious room. Free coffee at all times in the lobby. Friendly staff.
Cons: The lobby area is decent, but not impressive. That's my only negative. Everything else was spot on.
Pros: Friendly, helpfuf
Cons: I got a gift but the manger failed to deliver it for 3 days,

Pros: We had an excellent time at Great Wolf. Lots of activities, awesome amenities and the food was excellent.
Pros: Everything was great. The lodge has a ton of activities that are free and other, more exciting activies for an extra fee (ropes course, bowling, etc.). There is always something to do besides the waterpark.
Cons: Do expect to spend a lot more money because you will get nickled and dimed.
Pros: I loved everything, from the water park to the bed and all the great activities they hosted!
Cons: The checkout was too early for check in to be so late.
Pros: Beautiful hotel. Staff was very friendly. My daughter loves going here. All kids look as if they are having a blast.
Cons: I feel it was very expensive, even with the water park. The restaurants & all stores were very expensive. Every hotel in Williamsburg offers free breakfast but this place. The water park closes way too early at 8P.
Pros: Water park which is small. The wave pool is ok. Food expensive. They will rip you off every way they can.
Pros: I enjoy indoor waterparks, and thought this would be a nice stop-over after a long road trip home.
Cons: One of the four tube rides was closed for the evening, which was a let-down. This park is also smaller than some of their other parks, so I don't see how anyone could spend large amounts of time here. The beds were also quite stiff and uncomfortable, although the pillows were nice. We also arrived to the waterpark at 7PM but still had to pay the full $10 locker rental price (since they require shoes to be worn to the park - we were forced to leave our shoes somewhere). Great Wolf definitely knows how to nickle and dime people. We have no kids and I seriously don't know how a family with children can afford to stay here!
Pros: The atmosphere
Cons: The internet connection was horrible
Pros: the water park is great.
Cons: the food was overpriced and there was surprisingly little there that my picky eaters would eat (in the restaurant)- no burgers, no hot dogs. all amusements other than the waterpark were excessively overpriced.

Pros: I encountered the staff members on all shifts and they were all incredibly friendly, especially the evening shift on 27-28 Jan. Kudos in particular to the night attendant and from desk attendant. They know very well how to talk to and engage with customers. They both made me feel very welcome and at "home". Thank you!
Cons: The property is showing its age...old, creaky elevator, older furniture, etc., but the room was clean and comfortable. I would stay there again, if nothing else but for the friendly staff.
Cons: Traveling with a family and being charged 150 a night....I was with a group....otherwise I should have booked at one of the ten other hotels around the corner who, at the very least, can offer some water when you walk in. Yes they have an overpriced restaurant. No free continental breakfast. Floors squeak so stay in the upper floors.

Pros: They had updated their beds and looked nice .
Things were clean
Cons: There was a connecting door to the room next to us and the people in that room had their tv up loud but you could hear every word they said almost as if they were in our room. We had to move to another room due to the noise because we couldn't sleep. The eggs were terrible really only a $50 a night hotel
Pros: Nice building, good price, nice pool, good free breakfast each morning. It was a nice place to stay, convenient location to all historic triangle attractions at a good price.. We enjoyed our stay.
Cons: The room had a slight musty smell when you first entered and the maid totally skipped our room for no reason one day during our stay.
Pros: Beds and pillows wonderfully comfortable - great value for money
Cons: Breakfast was not very nutritious; convenience foods. Disturbed by the amount of plastic plates, cutlery and throw away - not very environmentally conscious.

Cons: No info on construction that was going on and pool and hot tub closed. Nothing like listening to a jackhammer on your weekend away with your wife. I was also told breakfast was included with our stay but then had to pay for it with no consideration and wasn't very good to say the least.
Clear Business class finishings.
Frig in room
Cons: No free breakfast
The in-room lighting and design was terrible. (1) Bathroom LED lights were beyond too powerful. (2) no table by the bed with a lamp. (3) no room lights. The one lamp was in the corner and difficult to reach without climbing over a chair.
Also, in general, Holiday Inn has the same 1960s room with nicer stuff. Will not use the chain again unless it is the only option.
Pros: We were a little worried that we couldn't choose our room/bed type before arriving, but we ended up in a nice spacious room with a king bed that we really enjoyed. Microwave and fridge in the room were very helpful. Heard good things about the breakfast, although we didn't try it ourselves. Hotel staff was friendly.
Cons: There were a few issues with the room (the drapes were ripped, the coffee pot didn't work, and the shower door was stuck and wouldn't slide) and they did not fix anything. For such a nice spacious room the shower was a disappointment - small, no tub, and the floor was yellowed and unappealing. The pool hours were a little restrictive, we would have happily gone down for a quick dip in the pool or spa after close (11 p.m.)
Pros: Very clean. Staff was very polite
Pros: The hotel is well situated, close to all three historic triangle attractions, restaurants, and the premium outlet. Staff were courteous, and the room was neat and clean. A good value.
Cons: The rooms have a fan/blower under the window for heat and air conditioning. The unit switches off and on frequently. The unit in our room was very noisy and sounded like we were in an air tunnel, and so loud it woke us up at regular intervals during the night. Needless to say, we did not feel very rested in the morning.
